What if..

I have seen a lot of posts both on twitter and here about how Binghe is an excellent cook because Shang Qinghua either was himself (money problems notwithstanding) or because he wanted to be one.

So what if, one day, Binghe is not here to feed SQQ (shocker) for some reason (SHOCKER!!) and a grumpy, angry and hissy SQQ is loudly complaining, and it falls right on when his mood is particularly nostalgic about modern food. Good thing! Shang Qinghua is! Not good! This isn't *his* and Luo Binghe would rather *maim* than let someone use it.

Shen Qingqiu insists and threatens and promise he'll hold Binghe back for SQH to make his escape and not suffer his wrath so what does a hamster has to do besides obey and start cooking?

It's a nostalgic thing for him. The ustensils are not quite at the place he would have put them, the spices are in neat rows and not in a cute spice holder he was gifted during a secret santa event (one of the few things he received from strangers that he liked) and starts working.

It smells amazing, SQQ is astounded his nervous and catastrophe prone friend looks so relaxed and comfortable under the heat and when it's time to plate, he can't wait. It feels kinda sacrilegious because it's not Binghe's cooking but.. it tastes just as good. It's not the same, SQH uses spices in slightly different quantity (his own preference and not ones honed by watching how SQQ reacts to a dish) but it's so darn close, if he closes his eyes and his ears, he could pretend Binghe was home.

And he was home, looking like SQQ had just cucked him and paraded around with pride, and he's glowering at SQH who swallows the few morsels he had barely started eating before dashing out by an open window.

Luo Binghe is crying and growling and hissing and threatening to detach some limbs because how dare he uses his kitchen AND feed Shizun supbar food, but SQQ tells him SQH is a surprisingly good cook, and made him taste a dish.

And Binghe has a ratatouille flashback to when the washer woman was cooking for him, and of all the delicious food she taught him. And with the most HAIR PULLING LOGIC!! Binghe believes Shang Qinghua and his adopted mother are related. Somehow.

i love those monoma & uraraka friendship fics that lowkey demonise the rest of class1a but the point is that he's one of the few characters that really recognises her strength and he can understand being misunderstood because of your quirk (while it's different for them both - he's stereotyped as a villain because he has to steal other people's quirks, while she is stereotyped as an airhead or not as a fighter, in general, because her quirk isn't necessarily as combat aligned as some of her peers) and it's just a really good trope !! because he doesn't even really like her/her class a lot but he knows she's strong as fuck

I adore the most recent Nat/Kit chapter, Nathan in subspace is so sweet! Any chance you'd write Kit's point of view of that scene or a similar one? His comment of "Killin' me, Nat" is so intriguing and seeing the difference between Nat here and Isac in All For You from Kit's point of view would be very interesting. Awh thank you so much, I’m so glad you liked it!! I felt super accomplished when I finished this one because I was a) actually able to write it lol, and b) I genuinely enjoyed the process! Great to hear it turned out well and enjoyable, I wasn’t too sure after struggling with writing for so much heheh<3

Definitely putting Kit’s pov on my prompt list! I think it’d be an interesting one too for sure. Iz and Nat are very different in this context so the way Lit go about it changes a lot as well. 

Think the main difference probably comes from how for Isac letting go is easy and simple, he just often enjoys being hella difficult about it hahah! It’s fun and satisfying for him that way, and the As also get that sense of satisfaction when they inevitably ‘win’ after having to work for it. Whereas for Nathan it can be a bit scary and intimidating, since he’s still learning that he can actually trust the others to be there for him even if he gives up control (and his hyper vigilance). It goes against everything he learned growing up, so it’s very instinctive for him to resist that to feel safe :(

The pack knows it means a lot when he does let his guard down, it’s like the ultimate sign of trust so it makes them all very emo when it happens. With Nathan it’s more about figuring out how to get him there (usually it happens by accident when it’s just natural and he’s feeling especially comfy/safe/wanted), rather than what happens when he’s already down. 

With Isac it’s a whole game of trying to keep him in check even once he’s down, because he’s a feral little beast and will sniff out any signs of leeway and will test it lmao. Liam sometimes deals with Iz by making him be sweet and soft, which is “stupid fuckin’ mind fuckery” according to Isac, which is also probably why it works on him so well heh

So yeah, as we can see from the amount of ramble, there’d definitely be a lot to explore with this topic!

I feel very secure going after a teaching position for this upcoming year but it’s like society is conspiring against me. All I hear about is teachers leaving and how little money they make. Which yeah. It does suck. (Hopefully though that will go up. I hear rumors.) but I have never felt that this is wrong or I should stop. And while I feel like I do have the capability to reinvent myself, I just don’t want to do that right now.

i know there's a lot of criticism around holby and I'm not really in a place to comment on that as I haven't watched it very long but the way the writers have done the henruss storyline is honestly,,,, just brilliant.. the best slow burn I've seen probably... ever in everything I've watched and for it to actually become canon? i still can't believe it tbh
