BIGMAMA - The Naked King
Producer : Osamu Shinomiya Character Design, Story Board, Animation, Background Art, Editing : rapparu Inbetween : Ashitaka Special Thanks : Honeyjelly
The music video is an animated short film produced by Rapparu, one of the many filmmakers in the modern international spotlight. After collaborating on CRYSTAL CLEAR in 2017, this is the second collaboration between Rapparu and BIGMAMA. Rapparu's interpretation of the song brings a different perspective to the theme in this fully animated short film.
One day Basilis, a devil jealous of the human world and society, falls from the sky. Van, a young boy, helps the devil up from the sea he dove into. The beautiful but fragile story woven by Basilis and Berg, starting from the encounter between the two. A moving short film.
BIGMAMA Masato Kanai (vocal/guitar) Hiroya Kakinuma (guitar/vocal) Hideto Yasui (bass) Mao Higashide (violin/keyboard/chorus) Bucket Banquet Bis (drums)
BIGMAMA is a rock band with violinists, and started full-scale activities in 2006. With the theme of "Fusion of Rock and Classical Music", they have created a new revolution in the Japanese rock world by releasing the concept album "Roclassick", which combines the well-known classical music with BIGMAMA's unique musicality utilizing the charm of the violin.

73. Favorite worldbuilding
Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou. I love big empty worlds, and Tsukumizu-sensei’s post-apocalyptic cityscape perfectly fits the bill. There’s exactly enough mystery in their worldbuilding to keep it interesting, and enough explanation to understand how it came to be. Whether the explanation makes a lot of sense is another story, but the weirdness-factor is exactly right as well and as such improves the theme rather than taking away from immersion.
Honorable mentions: Shinsekai yori, Sakasama no patema, One Punch Man.
4. Favorite characterization
Yagate kimi ni naru. Now this might come as a huge surprise ... seeing as I’ve been exalting that series above all else for years now, but Nakatani-sensei provides such deeply satisfying little insights into how her characters think and why they act like they do that it’s almost too much at times. Especially when she comes out with an interview and tells us how a certain character was conceived to be read and that being exactly how a majority of readers see them. Yagakimi’s story itself certainly relies on some a little tired tropes and doesn’t revolutionize much in that regard. But the characters make the story stand out nonetheless, by being seemingly living, breathing constructs in a way very, veeery few others manage to convey.
Honorable mentions: Monogatari series, Tsuki ga kirei, Sora yori mo tooi basho, Tsukiatte agete mo ii kana, 34-sai mushoku-san.
7. Favorite ship
Kobayashi-Tooru gives me aaaalll the feels.
MadoHomu will never get old.
TouYuu is a given.
Kanata-Kazuki (14-sai no koi) is just extremely sweet.
Honorable mentions: HoriMiya, Koyomi-Hitagi, Chito-Yuuri, KyouSaya, HinaRei, and of course all The Grumpy One Is Soft For The Sunshine One.
27. Favorite doujin
Kono mama sekai ga owaru made by Rapparu.
Hana no aru, aru hi. by Ryuunosuke (and basically all his stuff in that universe).
28. Favorite anituber
Gigguk, because he provides exactly the right mix of personality, snark and content. Then again, I know like three anitubers in total (MB and TAM being the others).

kanamewo is an animation made by rapparu around two years ago. it's absolutely gorgeous, the music is great, and the story you can gather from a short with no dialogue is amazing. i seriously recommend you watch it, i literally can't even remember how many times i've watched it, at least fifty-- go show some love to the creator !!
