Another day, another TMNT character redesigned for Mystic Forest. This Rat King is based off of the yokai Tesso, a scorned monk who became a vengeful rat spirit. I tried to keep elements of the OG rat king design while adding a flare of the original story to it.

Unfairy is objectively the best yo-kai watch character. Imagine taking on 2 whole war generals, defeating them both, then getting beaten by an 11 year old with a rubber hose and promptly being thrown into the void by your scary old witch mom

While not super rattish in the traditional sense I do love this cartoony interpretation, complete with claws that will accidentally shred you and yellowing teeth!! He looks like he’s about to start giving out coins or stealing them all. What a perfect nose and whiskers!
