If you're not willing to pay for Adobe, then I strongly recommend RawTherapee as a raw processor.

I don't use it nearly to its full potential (afaik it can functionally replace lightroom), but as just a raw processor it offers some very deep control, all the way down to choosing which demosaic algorithm you want to use.

About the only thing that I've found that the RawTherapee and GIMP combo can't easily do is panoramas and auto HDR (both of which, iirc, used or were based on the Photomerge feature in Photoshop).

@spoonyglitteraunt There are some free or low-cost RAW editors out there. I haven't researched them for a while, so I don't know what is good these days. I think they are mostly phone apps. But I'm sure you can find a "Top 5" list or something on Google. Or someone might leave a suggestion in the replies.

However, Adobe might be cheaper than you realize. They have the photography bundle that includes Lightroom and Photoshop for $10 per month. And as long as you do the monthly plan, you can cancel without any fees.

I don't know if that is out of your budget, but I did want to make everyone aware of it.

Some people despise subscriptions, but I personally find 10 bucks a month more accessible than a one time $1000 fee. And pirated Photoshop could get super buggy sometimes. I also like that I get access to the beta and all the new features as they are released.

So the subscription model has worked well for me personally, but others find it frustrating not owning their software.

In any case, I do hope you experiment even if it is with your phone. Good luck!

Sheep are dirty. This is a relatively clean fleece (well skirted, no vm) and I removed the tips, and it's still nasty

Thankfully it's easy to clean, and now I've got some beautiful white locks that will be combed once they're dry.

its kinda silly how Saïx is one of the stronger org members but not at ALL built for long term combat… like his entire gimmick is based around charging up with moon power or whatever until he goes crazy and mindlessly attacks you for like 30 seconds and then after that he's unable to fight back for a period of time, his entire kit is built around being the finishing move, theres no strategy involved at all. And it works for his job! Saïx is their manager he doesn’t go on missions, so if he's the one fighting its likely after everyones already attacked/weakened the enemy (like in kh2), so he’s a last resort with his entire ability kit built around being a last resort.

kind of recontextualizes that one scene in kh2 when Saïx says hes waited to “end this charade” (before the sora v saix fight) (asking for permission to attack) but i dont have the mind power to verbalize my thoughts on that very well. Guy who was built from the ground up to be a guard dog but not in a beloved pet way and not in a starving rabid beast way either. Guy whos trained to be a guard dog but not let outside the house nor allowed to attack yet nonetheless trained to throw his body and teeth at whatever his owner decides. and he yearns to let loose btw

Feeling real 👎 about the bird flu impacting raw pet food. It hasn’t impacted any brands in Alberta but I’ll have to bring it up to my vet at the boys’ annual check up in the spring to see if it’s worth switching. I have no idea what they even COULD switch to, except maybe more expensive non-poultry raw… oughhh my wallet is crying
