Rayman is like an anti Klonoa.

Also a Headcannon/idea for Rayman in my *swap au, since he's made of lums, his eyes can glow in the dark and his hair is bioluminescent.

Ly would be in the book club and would probably read some of the epics.

Tily would attend, but would be reading comic books. She'd eventually fall asleep and the rest would continue while being a bit more quiet.

The Magician would also be there, because a nerd like him wouldn't miss it for the world.

Mr. Dark wants to be there, but has been banned.

Hellen and Olympia would be there and would bring greek tales and myths (Hellen might wanna kidnap one of the girls like how papa Hades kidnapped mama Persephone).

Sandbox would bring full on stone tablets.

Teensy Queen would have some of the best romance novels of the group.

Punch/Big Clown wouldn't be a direct part of the book club, but would be bringing cookies and muffins.

Monik would bring gothic literature and potentially some horror stories.

Simohne would be bringing adventure books, probably whatever the Glade of Dream's equivilant of Lord of the Rings and Star Wars novels would be.

Honestly I don't think Ly or The Magician would be in the book club. I just feel they'd think it was too nerdy or would have other stuff to do. They absolutely were invited but politely turned it down.

Tily is a 100% hard pass. These are adults discussing adult books in an adult book club XD She can hang out at the Globox house while Uglette is away! But I get the idea she was super curious about being part of a club when she heard about it, but upon finding out it's just boring adults discussing books she immediately lost interest XD Probably for the best!

Super agree on Mr Dark though! I imagine he was in the club in the olden days but Betilla has laid down the law on keeping him out and the others agree to it.

Again, Hellen and Olympia just feel too young and cool to be there. But they willingly donate books from their royal collections if asked.

Sandbox is part of the book club. He WILL try and eat all the snacks so best to seat him away from them if they can.

TEENSIE QUEEN IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST. She probably runs the book club, makes sure book copies get ordered, and guarantees a place to meet every week. She strikes me as an organisation girly.

Big Clown would be invited but gets kicked out because he won't stop using it as an opportunity to flirt with Betilla and it distracted everyone else XD

Monik and Simohne are also absolute musts. I can see them as book besties XD But they can also be flaky on if they turn up or not. Rest assured if one is there then they both are.

hey, i’m actually very curious abt ur interpretation of raymans sexuality, and was wondering if u could share the reasoning behind it (no pressure to answer, just itching 2 know lol)

of course! for starters - gay, gay, homosexual, gay. I think there's something to be said about the fact that there have been multiple attempts at giving rayman a girlfriend, and yet not a single one of them has worked out. x)

ly was shown with rayman in a romantic light in one single rayman 2 wallpaper and their relationship was never even hinted at anywhere else. simonhe was completely scrapped, along with the entire raving rabbids prototype - and, y'know, maybe that was for the better, considering how racist the whole "the only black character in the cast gets enslaved" thing would've been... yikes. raynette was only present in a mural that was exclusive to the ps vita version of rayman origins and never got referenced in any other version of the game, nor has it ever been mentioned again since (and honestly, you're a terrible partner anyways if you chase your boyfriend/husband off a cliff just because he got a haircut you didn't like... 😆)

rayman with a girlfriend... just doesn't really work. it doesn't stick! and a large part of it is because romance doesn't have much of a place in the rayman games. however, I choose the path of ✨self indulgence✨ because I Can.

and for the record, since this conclusion can also be drawn from everything I've mentioned - aroace rayman is also a headcanon I love and support! I'm aroace too, after all - fictosexuality/romanticism is on the aroace spectrum. outside of Videogame Men, I am as romance-repulsed as can be. so it makes me happy to see that represented in others' interpretations of his character. :) I just personally see him as a gay man! I think he's a lil fruity.

either way, rayman is QUEER in one way or another and that is something I stand by. 🫡

Theo continues to hide behind Ramon as Raymona held out her hand. The child responds by suddenly hiding himself in the blonde's coat. Raymona and Bullfrog both let out a chuckle as he stayed there, draping the coat over his head like a hood.

"Looks like he's going to hide there during our shopping. He seems to trust you so much already, my friend."

Raymona stays close to her partner, acting like a barrier to give Theo a little more security. Anyone that wanted to get near Theo would have to try to get past her as well. Ramon could feel Theo cling to his body as he followed along-side them from beneath his coat.

"Raymona?"

"Yes, sweetie?"

"I'm hungry. Can we get something to eat first?"

"Of course we can. Why don't we stop by the bakery?"

Ramon at feel Theo hiding behind him, he looked at him, confused as to why he was scared, the reason however made him to have a warm and kind smile inside in his features, that is so adorable.

Raynette has always hated Rayman’s hair and refused to go out with him until he shaved his head bald! Desperate to win her over, Rayman did just that!

However, that was just the beginning!

Raynette often bossed Rayman around and treated him very very poorly.

One day, Rayman’s hair grew back, and Raynette was mortified.  She pulled out her trusty scissors and tried to cut Rayman’s hair!

However, Rayman slipped and fell off of a nearby cliff.

By the time Rayman climbed back up, Raynette had already found herself a new boyfriend and dumped him right then and there.

However, Raynette’s new boyfriend couldn’t stand her and dumped her shortly after.

Lonely and rejected, Raynette tracked down Rayman to try to make him take her back.

By the time she found Rayman he was already dating Stella!

Raynette was livid! What did that candy-haired freak have that she didn’t?!

In that moment, Raynette swore that she would get Stella out of the picture and reclaim Rayman.

Soooo... I now know more about this story. And apparently, "Rachel" is actually "Raynette". I'll make the changes to the lore page when I can.

So in the Rayman series did they drop the whole “Only Rayman is a limbless being” thing after Origins?

Cause like a good chunk of the costumes and skins in Legends, Adventures, and Mini imply these are all separate and independent characters.

More likely, but it's more like a 50/50 answer and basically, my opinion.

Cause, there was a time where Tarayzan was going to be playable behind Origin's development and have him be Rayman's cousin (through unused dialogue) but sadly never made it into the final game. There's also "Raynette" from the PSVita version of Origins but I don't like to talk about the PSVita version nor Raynette in general because it may not be canon. Of course, I can't forget Raymesis too.

With that in mind, I wouldn't really say they dropped the idea but more like they made some contradictions with Origins and then dropped it during Legends and onwards. But that's only if you DO see the costumes and skins as separate characters and not... well, skins. And also think they can be canon characters as well.

I do really hope I'm making sense with this ,, I'm not 100% sure, even more so since this is Rayman after all.

OH BOY. the ps vita origins murals. yeah, they're… something. 😆 I don't think they're intended to be taken as canon fact. I find them silly. I like to think of them as more of folklore or stories that the glades' inhabitants have made up ✨

baldman does haunt my nightmares, though 😆 but ah well. I'd love him no matter whether or not he was bald. unlike SOMEONE...
