Almost done with this one!
I accidently made it too big, so I don’t know how to finish it. Should it be a JUMBO scarf? Some sort of wrap? A lap blanket?

The Island is a nature-inspired Paris home designed around a courtyard garden
Local architect Clément Lesnoff-Rocard has converted a 19th-century house in Paris's La Défense into a contemporary home featuring a double-height dining room that looks onto a central courtyard.
Clément Lesnoff-Rocard named this project The Island as it involved creating an isolated, inward-looking private residence in the midst of the bustling city.
"The project is about finding a way for a family to have its own universal and symbolic wild landscape inside their home," suggested Lesnoff-Rocard, "surrounded by the city but deeply separated from its looming pressure."
Lesnoff-Rocard introduced a double-height dining room as part of the renovation
The Island is located at the end of a small street on the edge of Paris's main financial district, La Défense. The house's traditional architecture stands in contrast to the steel and glass skyscrapers that dominate the district's skyline.
Lesnoff-Rocard's refurbishment, carried out with partner Gil Percal, focused on switching the focus of the spaces away from the street and towards an exotically planted patio garden at the centre of the plan.
The interiors are designed to focus on a patio garden outside
"We decided at the first visit that this house had to be protected from this outer predatory world," the architect added, "turning its back to the street and only looking at itself, its garden and its own qualities, yet to be found."
The building had been extended and remodelled by previous owners, resulting in a muddled sequence of spaces that lacked any form of singular identity.
A combination of wooden and concrete steps lead to a mezzanine
The project involved stripping out many of the existing elements and reordering the space to give it greater cohesion.
The garden and the idea of nature provided the main reference point for The Island's interior design. Many of the forms and materials used evoke natural features or aim to enhance the connection with the outdoor space.
The white-concrete mezzanine curves around the dining space
A double-height glass wall connects the courtyard with the main living areas, providing views of the sky as well as the lush planting.
A curving, white-concrete mezzanine that bridges across the living and dining area is described by Lesnoff-Rocard as "a stratus, a low cloud passing quietly above your head".
One side of this space is lined with a "cliff-like" full-height bookcase, while the grey-green floor tiles are intended to evoke shallow water and the oak dining table recalls a tree.
The lounge area features a cast-concrete bench with cushions so it can be used as a sofa. A timber staircase situated between this space and the dining area ascends to the first floor.

Where the stairs emerge onto the mezzanine, the white concrete floor is cast to form curved steps that continue the organic theme.
Internal windows look down from the two upper levels onto the living space and a matt-black kitchen below. The glazed wall and glass mezzanine balustrade ensure plenty of daylight reaches these spaces.
Other recent courtyard homes on Dezeen include an inward-facing, cedar-clad home in Salt Lake City designed by American architects Kipp Edick and Joe Sadoski and the House of Many Courtyards in Scandanavia.

Chantal Moore was fatally shot last Thursday by a cop stating that she had a knife and that he feared for his life.
Chantal was 26 years old from British Columbia and was studying at the University in Edmundston, New Brunswick.
She was a gentle soul that loved life. She never would have hurt anyone and thus far there are no proof that Chantal had a knife at the time of the incident.
Justin Bourque was 24 years old when he fattally shot 3 RCPM officers and injured 2 more back in 2014 in Moncton, New Brunswick.
He was armed with several knives, a shotgun and a semi-automatic rifle and his goal was to shoot as many RCMP officers that he could.
It had been a long chase on foot until the army arrived and was able to apprehend Justin and placed him under custody. Not a single shot was fired by law enforcement or the army.
The moral of the story is that Chantal was part of the indigenous community and Justin is a white man.
Don't tell me that's not racist.

I hope I'm doing this right.
6.) Any tattoos I would want? I'm very afraid of a tattoo turning into psoriasis on me, but if I had to choose I would get the RCPM lyric "Sing about the dawn in the middle of the night" or something generic like a very colorful flower.
7.) Piercings I want? I've always wanted my bellybutton pierced, but I have a really squishy stomach and a deep, hairy bellybutton, and that would just look horrible. It would look like a little jewel on a fat hairy butthole.
11.) Something I miss? This delicious Korean place called golden pot that was in the food court of the mall in my hometown. Mmmmmm. So good.
Favorite quote?: "One of a number, one of NINE." Or, "Oh, if I knew being a lifeguard meant guarding their lives, I would never have said yes!"
Favorite movie?: I'm so bad at picking favorites, but I really really like the second Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

I've been told so many times that I should be a cop or join the RCPM and I never really have the time or energy to get into why I never want that.

🍓💬🌧️🍼
🍓 “ One secret about yourself”
Not really a secret, but maybe? I love all of my nieces and nephews and siblings and friends pretty equally, but I have favorites in the ‘like’ department, if that makes sense? Like, I just click with people in different ways so it’s kind of like...’this is my favorite friend to travel with’ but this is my favorite friend to write stories with’ and ‘this is my favorite friend to go to when I’m sad’ but @rustyshackleford90 is my favorite sister and my first niece is my favorite niece.
💬 “What your last text message says”
“I’ll hop on”
🌧️ “Favorite thing to do on rainy days”
I’m usually at work on rainy days, but if I’m at home, lay in bed and take a really deep sleep nap
🍼 “What is your favorite memory”
I have so many, it’d be hard to pick just one. I mean-my first concert (RCPM), the FUN concert I went to in Dallas, Monterey California with @cate-r-gunn and seeing really pretty nature for the first time, Vancouver at Christmas, visiting @thisstableground and going overseas for the first time and just sitting in some weird viking pop up tent drinking mulled wine, staying up tell nearly dawn with @rustyshackleford90 talking in the dark when we were kids and it was summer time, going to Austin to a comic convention with the nieces and nephews, going to Comic Con in San Diego with @redhoodsstrife and @cate-r-gunn and two of my sisters and my brother, this last visit with @tiredalwavs and the first time I met her in the freezing cold weather in this little nowhere airbnb and we watched Do No Harm and ate pizza but it was also kind of nerve-wracking because we’d never met in person, New Years Eve with my nieces and standing outside falling asleep (all of us) in the freezing cold to quickly watch fireworks for a few minutes before running and jumping into bed, working at my old daycare job from a while back and playing “Joker’s Castle” with the little ones and an old Halloween sound effect CD...
There are just way too many but if I had to narrow it down to FIVE (not in order)
- Staying up talking all night with @rustyshackleford90 during a summer break at some point b/c those were the best summer time memories and I wouldn’t trade them for some fabulous vacation or anything
- Sitting in that tent in Brighton talking with @thisstableground for a long time b/c/ it was just sort of amazing that we’d never met in person and then when we did, it was just like we saw each other all the time
- The last time I went and saw @tiredalwavs b/c it’s really nice just to sit and talk and not have any real plans which makes it even nicer
- My nieces at NYE a few years ago (I think two?) It’s just something I continuously think about
- The FUN concert with my friend, Cassie (former roommate). It was just a really amazing concert and she’s a very fun person to attend concerts with
