Like, I always felt sorta bad for the droids in Star Wars. Then someone pointed out:  “Per Star Wars lore, the AI/droids had a rebellion, which failed, and now all droids have certain inhibitors (panic, fear, unquestionable loyalty) installed to keep them in line.” I mean, by Star Wars standards, it’s pretty fucking dark what you’ve done to these sentient, self-aware beings.

I got RDR recently for my birthday but I have to wait i can upgrade my computer to the right specs to run it. but you make a really good point and i might start doing that with the other open land(?) games i play

tho question, have you written a fanfic from freeroaming yet? or do you just have ideas in a bag

Idk if other RDR writers do this but do you ever freeroam in the game and let it shape potential fanfics? I think that's something so awesome about video games because I'll be riding around and come across a cabin in the woods or somewhere like the Loft near Roanoke and I'll think "oh yes this would be an awesome spot where x character can come rest or hide."

Or another example is how playing BATPM just now, it really helps writing to be able to look at the map and see how and where Arthur escapes as I really wanna write a minific that's a different take on how that plays out, but it helps so much writing to be able to walk through it all first, rather than when you're watching a film or show on TV and are a little more detached from the world.
