Musk is so upset that everyone on the internet hates him - and that his companies are sinking, but I truly believe that the 'everyone hates me' thing is bothering him more - that he's trying to rebrand and start over.

He's trying to "new haircut, new wardrobe, new middle school" his way out of the shitty reputation he rightfully deserves. Except he didn't just embarrass himself in front of the whole school, he's a neo nazi that bankrolls fascism and gutted the only useful parts of our government.

We can't let this work for him. We can't just let him fade into the background as "another shitty tech bro with bad ideas" just because he's not with DOGE anymore. Assuming nothing absolutely tragic happens, he's probably got like 30 years left to rehab his image. You see how fondly people remember George W. Bush despite the fact that he's an objectively evil war criminal just because it's been so long that people see him as a harmless old grandpa? Musk has the chance to do the exact same thing.

Don't fucking let him. Trolling people is the one skill the internet has always had and will always have. Use it for good. Keep the stories circulating. Keep sharing his picture with a black eye or that video where he's K-holed on national fucking TV (especially since the official WSJ version of the video on youtube has since been edited and re-uploaded to omit that part). Keep talking about how he not only disowned his daughter for being trans but stated outright that he considers her dead. Keep sharing stories about the various and multiple ways that his piece of shit trucks keep failing and killing people. Hell, just make fun of him online if you can't be bothered to research anything. It doesn't really matter if your argument is backed by evidence, just be mean to him.

Stranger Things Thunderbolts* AU

Nancy had achieved her mission already, she captured Joyce’s old agents, the so called Thunderbolts now apparently, as they were escaping. She just needs to wait for six minutes for the plane to arrive and get them to the court to testify against Joyce to impeach her from power. It was going to be the single biggest achievement of her political career if successful. But then they had to start telling her about a girl called Chrissy who can fly, and how potentially dangerous she is under Joyce’s hands.

She didn’t believe them of course, but then Robin had to call her to tell her about the failure of project Sentry and how unbalanced this Chrissy person was. If the royal assistant was willing to go this extreme to betray her boss then this was serious. And not just because she can’t say no to Robin’s soft pleas for help. After some deliberation, she removes the group’s shackles to go save the way the old fashioned way.

“Why you got some place to be?” Nancy asked, as they looked at her in disbelief.

“Nancy, you have the wrong people. We have all done bad things.” Max argued, not believing they were the heroes she was looking for.

Nancy, the ex winter soldier, knows more then anyone about not having a clean slate so she isn’t going to start judging the others’s dark pasts now, even Harrington’s past actions.

“Look, I've been where you are. The past doesn't go away. So you can either live with it for ever, or do something about it.” Nancy said, subtly giving them a last chance if they wanted to abandon ship for survival.

In my imagination of red and leaf being twins and both autistic I think the only reason leaf doesn't have the same totally blank 😐 face as red is because she did the age old classic of practicing facial expressions in the mirror every day until she learned the basic ones. She also made her default expression a smile 🙂 to seem more approachable.

Unfortunately since the expressions don't come naturally to her and she had to learn them, the can come off as exaggerated/overly dramatic. Which is fine for some people but others find it equally as off-putting as reds poker face. It makes her a little sad when people dislike her because of it bc shes doing her best to fit in but can't seem to get it right.

She puts a lot of effort into masking at least when she's a kid-teenager but once she's older and has made more solid friendships she can let herself relax and not need to stress about it so much, although in social situations she may still slip back into old habits.

Red does not mask and never really has. I choose 2 believe his mom was really supportive and accommodating so he wasn't forced to hide his autistic traits unlike leaf. This is because in my au they are twins but their parents split and leaf had to stay with their dad. Who is not as understanding as their mom.

Idk if he'd be actually horrible to her but he was not as patient or understanding as their mom + leaf also just craved more friends and wanted to be able to socialize more so she eventually learned how. Red is content with the 4 people he knows (mom, oak, daisy, green) and prefered to mostly be alone so he didn't have that motivating factor to do it.

He was very content with having one friend, green, but he was def lonley during their "rival" phase when green stopped hanging out with him and was focused on trying to prove himself in some way only he understood or worried about. Along with that is green also being the master of masking for the most part. I don't see oak as being particularly accommodating and patient with him so while Daisy probably was, she's also not a parent so she couldn't be responsible for caring for green the way oak should've been.

As they got older green also craved to be seen as cool and popular amongst his peers so he started masking heavily and also distanced himself from red. Unfortunately he realizes that being accepted for a fake version of himself by mainly strangers is actually very lonley and he misses their friendship 😢 but atp he probably figures red wouldn't wanna be friends again bc of how green ignored him for so long so I think they don't become close again until After the gym challenge "rivalry"/red dissapearing/reuniting years later. So they were both missing each other a lot but both felt unable to reach out bc of the distance that grew between them when green pulled away. Anyways tldr green pro masker leaf trying very hard to mask but struggling a bit and red rawdogging his autism never masked a day in his life.

Teddy Bear halfway (actually, a little over) check point. I have pulled myself out of my full life disassociation to take a break. I moved a little into episode 9 because episode 8 ended with the lead up to Nut's birthday and this was clearly going to be important.

They had been giving all the flags about Nut's childhood. It wasn't that his mother just picked his father and they had a happy little life, albeit not with the man she loved. No, Nut's childhood was not great. And as with many people with childhood trauma, some of it culminated around his birthday.

It was really satisfying to have Nut get the recognition from his mother that she had been passive and selfish in more than just the recent years of her mental illness. We all know this won't wash it all away completely, but it was healing start for the both of them.

And all of this is happening while Nut is opening his heart to Tofu. There is way too much "I'll stay with you forever" for my liking because I haven't been fully spoiled, but my sense is Tofu's time is limited and he will not be with Nut for the long term (at least in this particular manifestation of himself).

I'm feeling pretty satisfied that most of my thoughts about where this was going have been revealed to be true. An indication of good writing, for certain. It's the same reason why I know Tofu can't stay. Despite the beauty in how Tofu and Nut have started to love each other, it is a fantasy love. Tofu has no needs, except to be close to Nut and love him. That isn't how love between people works. This show is entirely about how messy it is to love each other because people are complex and flawed.

Still Tofu's love is incredibly important to this story. The love he gives Nut is unconditional. He has seen all the worst of Nut, seen all the messiness that is in and outside of him and his love has not faltered. You can see it healing Nut in real time on screen and it's so beautiful.

Even between complicated people, you can experience radical love like that, it just isn't all you get. It comes along with the messiness of life. Nut isn't ready for that though. He hasn't experienced that uncomplicated love before, that unwavering love, even though I know his mother has that kind of love for him, she wasn't always able to put him first. Tofu does that for him. Nut finally gets to experience that.

I've paused in part because it feels like this is when shit is going to really get real. It's a bit counter intuitive since we've already trudged through a lot of trauma, but we still have half of this drama to go and we have not unpacked most of what happened with Tarn.

Knowing that @lurkingshan and @twig-tea have said this is a happy ending makes me want to get to know Tarn more. I have to believe that Tofu is some sort of manifestation of his love for Nut and that Tarn will wake up and he and Nut will get a chance again to heal from whatever went on between them.
