Okay, imma elaborate on my madwheeler roleswap bullshit.
For those who have no idea what i’m talking about (probably most of you, i imagine 😅), the basic premise is this: what would Stranger Things/Hawkins look like if Max had lived in Hawkins from the beginning, and Mike & the Wheelers moved to Hawkins in season 2?
My previous posts on this are linked here (initial premise, basically breaking down how canon deviated to allow for the role swap) here (elaborating on potential implications of swapping Mike & Max’s roles for El & her relationships) and here (this talks vaguely about how removing Mike might change season one/party dynamics). All previous posts are gonna be elaborated on as i get further in my rewatch/plot this out more tho, lol. If anyone has any thoughts, other takes, or wants to bounce ideas around or offer their own opinions on how the season could potentially deviate based on this premise, i’d seriously love to hear about it (talking ab this stuff is my catnip ngl).
(Speaking of! @faithfulcat111 hiiiiiiii! I figured i might as well tag you on this post, since this focuses a lot on how season 1 might be different—specifically, differences caused by the fact that Nancy Wheeler isn’t in Hawkins, since I haven’t gotten to posts specifically describing how season 1 could/would go down yet (…in part bc i haven’t decided how i think it should go down, & also bc i rlly have to do that rewatch 😅). I haven’t decided whether Will was biking home from Max’s the night he was taken, or if he was just… at home, y’know? Because if will was targeted by vecna, (& i think he was lol), whether he was biking home or just at his house wouldn’t matter, except for the fact that one option creates waaaaay more angst for our characters than the other, especially if the Mayfield’s trailer was the last place will was seen 😬🤷.)
Now, can we talk ab the potential implications of No Nancy Wheeler?
Like. Wherever Nancy Wheeler grew up, it sure as hell wasn’t Hawkins, and that has all kinds of impacts on the people who ARE still in Hawkins.
In Rebel Robin, Robin basically all but says that Barb chose Nancy over her. No Nancy… are Barb & Robin still friends?
Steve isn’t pursuing Nancy, which means Nancy doesn’t drag Barb along to Steve’s party, which means Barb doesn’t get taken—at least, not because of the party. Was Steve pursuing someone else? Maybe Heather Holloway, or Chrissy Cunningham? Maybe one of them is invited to the party. Maybe she dies earlier, in this universe.
Or maybe she survives the monster attacks. Become part of the action, part of the force against the Upsidedown.
Without Nancy there… does Jonathan Byers take the pictures? [We need to have a brief sidebar about Jonathan. First and foremost, I love this character. Second, taking noncon pictures of someone, especially when they’re in a vulnerable position, is never okay. What Jonathan did was badly handled in canon and, frankly, out of character.]. Perhaps, rather than taking the photos, Jonathan trips, falls, cuts himself while wandering the woods looking for Will. His blood draws a monster (that perhaps gets caught on jonathan’s camera?), which causes Jonathan to either scream, burst through the bushes into the pool party rambling about a faceless monster like a madman, or both.
Now, having witnessed Jonathan Byers’ incident, Steve’s involved. Maybe he gets suspicious of the woods around his house, catches a glimpse of the monster too. Potential slowburn Stonathan friendship bc it’s clear, from the fact that Steve goes to apologize & pays for a new camera & talks ab hanging out with Jonathan in season 4, that steve genuinely wants to be friends with this guy.
In this au, Steve likely wouldn’t break Jonathan’s camera, bc Jonathan hasn’t given him a (frankly, completely justified) reason to. Steve & Jonathan’s fistfight probably wouldn’t happen. But unless Jonathan sees the monster… without Nancy & the photos Jonathan took of Barb getting taken, Jonathan has no reason to believe his mother, and no reason to try & fight the demogorgon (which probs wouldn’t be called a demogorgon here, given that the party isn’t as into dnd w/out Mike, RIP).
You know what else No Nancy means? Nobody to make the connection about demogorgons & blood. & later, in season 2, No Nancy back in season 1 means Alive Barb, which means no exposing Owens/the lab, which means the lab is still up & running in season 3, & ALSO means no Murray until season 3 at Least (through Hopper), AND given Nancy’s wildly different relationships in this au could mean there’ll be nobody to stab Will with a hot poker & free him from the mindflayer at the end of season 2, and depending on how we resolve that & season 3—
Basically, Nancy Wheeler is insanely important, and her absence is gonna have a lot of implications. (Thankfully, given that the Wheelers move to Hawkins pre-season 2, she’ll be around for season 4. 🙏)

When I get up the motivation, I really want to write a fruity four Selection au, where Robin and Nancy are chosen to participate in competing for Prince Steve’s hand in marriage, but along the way, Robin befriends Steve and they strike up a deal for her to be his woman on the inside in exchange for him keeping her in the competition so her family can continue getting compensated for her participation and she doesn’t have to return home where she will run into her ex.
However, the fic deviates from Maxon and America’s story when Steve tries to kiss Robin, and she’s like, “um, ew, no. I’m a lesbian.” A fact which she has been keeping from him because up until that point, she had thought he might kick her out of the running because of it, but she wagered that he won’t now because they are good enough friends. And he doesn’t kick her out. Instead, he realizes the deep feelings he had for her were friendship, which he has never felt because he didn’t get to grow up around people his age. So, they spend the night joking around, and Robin tells him all about her ex Vickie and seeing her hanging on her exboyfriend right before Robin left for the Selection.
Meanwhile, Robin is starting to fall for one of the other contestants, Nancy. Nancy, who everyone thinks is the perfect candidate for the One--that she will be Steve’s princess. And Robin, much to her own pain, is pushing Nancy to be the One as well, because she thinks the other girl is straight. (She’s not, she’s having a bisexuality crisis all thanks to Robin, and maybe that makes her a little mean like Celeste, only she’s not trying to show Robin up to gain Steve’s attention. She’s competing with Steve for Robin’s attention.)
During this, Robin and Steve are taking a walk through the palace, shooting the breeze (talking about boobies), when Robin stops in her tracks, spotting a familiar face in a guard. A one Mr. Eddie Munson has traded his guitar for a gun, so he could be at the palace to protect his best friend, Chrissy (who is also in the competition). Robin and Eddie grew up in the same caste, so they are pretty good friends. Steve decides to have Eddie guard her room because Robin’s been homesick lately, and Eddie will provide a familiar face. However, as Steve continues to keep hanging out in Robin’s room, he strikes up a friendship with her new guard. A friendship that feels different than the one he has with Robin, but no less deep. And Eddie is starting to feel the same way.
So, by the time the competition nears what should be its end: Steve choosing Nancy, and Robin returning home, the country is blindsided when Steve chooses a lowly guard, and Nancy and Robin (who Steve knew had feelings for each other) get together instead.
And of course, we’ve got to have the rebel attacks, but in this universe, it’s the craziness of the Upside Down that they’ve got to protect themselves from. Unfortunately, Chrissy is not saved in one of the attacks (rip), and Steve, Nancy, and Robin help comfort Eddie while he is in mourning. Also, Steve’s parents are killed, leaving Steve in charge of the kingdom (and pretty much free to marry whoever he wants).
Also, in this au, the contestant age requirements begin at 14 (which makes Steve, 19/20, want to projectile vomit), so Max get selected, and the rest of the Party apply to work in the palace so they can be with her. During one of the Demogorgon attacks, the fruity four and the Party get separated from everyone else, and they have to defend themselves from some Demogorgons, then hunker down in a panic room until they are released. This leads to them all bonding, and Steve getting his kids more friends (even if they are much younger than him). Also, because Max is in the competition, Steve has to pretend to take her on dates, but in that time spent together, he learns about her home life, and decides to keep her in the competition, same as he is doing for Robin. However, the two of them form a big brother/little sister relationship, and after the competition ends, he offers to let her stay in the palace and bring her mom as well, so they don’t have to keep living with Billy and his dad.

Alright gay people. Be prepared to lose your shit:
Ronance Lemonade Mouth AU
Nancy is Stella!!! Because I said so!!! Nancy deserves a rebel era and I can so see her being upset about the arts funding being cut for sports, including journalism. Electric guitar player Nancy my beloved >>>
Robin is Olivia, the shy, socially awkward songwriter and singer!!! Going to have her living with Steve as opposed to a grandma or something, but keeping the cat (who ironically in the movie is named Nancy). Might keep the her dad is in prison part? Undecided on how I’m translating Olivia’s background to Robin.
Speaking of Steve, he gets to be Charlie, the drummer! Keeping the pretty hair and parental pressure, but instead of wanting him to go to Stanford or play soccer, his dad wants him to join the insurance firm.
Eddie is Wen because Stella/Wen friendship > Nancy/Eddie besties ofc. Rather than coming in with rap, he adds amazing guitar riffs and heavy metal elements to the band’s sound. His family trouble involves settling in with Wayne, rather than dealing with a new stepmom.
And Mo was hard to decide, but!!! Our own Chrissy Cunningham. Her mom puts so much pressure on her to be the perfect daughter and Mo’s relationship with the one guy translates far too well to Chrissy’s relationship with Jason. Chrissy bass player arc omfg.
The rival band includes Jason, Billy (the one shitty guy who always starts drama), Tommy H, and Lucas (mirroring the basketball team here). Lucas tries to settle the drama throughout the AU.
The story begins when everyone gets detention. Robin and Chrissy were skipping class, Nancy blew up at someone about a news segment. Eddie got mad at a teacher, and Steve hit someone with a basketball (on accident).
The music teacher is Joyce and she leaves them all alone and that goofy little music moment happens and they all sing together.
Instead of Mel’s Lemonade, hear me out: Argyle’s Lemonade.
Robin has severe stage fright, but the band helps her get through it, especially Nancy. She and Steve live together. Eddie is often over to help with lyrics. She has an old ass cat that’s the last thing she has of her mother, just like Olivia.
Nancy gets to be rebellious in this fic. Her dad thinks she should just settle for a white picket fence (when he bothers to pay attention to her at all), her mom doesn’t really fight it, so Nancy rebels. She’s also getting the school newspaper together after the funding cut. Tell me this girl isn’t the kind to protest lack of free speech and the removal of the lemonade machine.
Eddie was only just sent to Wayne. It’s supposed to be temporary. In the same way Wen gets used to his stepmom, Eddie has to get used to Wayne and they do eventually grow closer. The scene where it’s revealed that Wen’s stepmom is moving in is instead Eddie arriving home to all of his belongings there in boxes and his parents nowhere to be seen—his stay is suddenly much more permanent.
Steve’s dad wants him to be an athlete (basketball) and join the insurance firm, but Steve just doesn’t want that. He quits basketball for the band and there’s some family struggle.
Rethinking the living situation, I may have Robin and Steve move in together partway through the story as opposed to the beginning, but I’m unsure where that leaves Robin. Her background is the hardest to work out.
Chrissy learns to stand on her own, gets away from her mom’s expectations, and sees Jason as the manipulative shitheel he is. Naturally she falls for one of the band’s biggest fans: Vickie.
Dustin plays the role of the AV kid that helps the band throughout the movie. He shows Nancy around in the beginning, explains the budget cut, and he makes the first vinyls for the band.
Nancy gets to rock Billy’s shit because I said so.
In the end scene, it’s Max and Lucas who save the day. Lucas leaves the rival band to help Lemonade Mouth out, Max is the first person in the crowd to start singing.
Steddie is established already. Ronance is the focus. Any of the Wen/Olivia scenes will be Ronance instead because I said so. Rumors circulate that Eddie and Robin are dating because Steddie keeps quiet and Robin isn’t out and the whole band finds it hilarious.

☆ munninghams’ massive hellcheer masterpost ☆
well! i promised a big one. here it is :) hopefully people get some use out of this! i devoured a crazy amount of fics in an alarmingly short amount of time and nothing would make me happier than sharing them with u all. :) DISCLAIMER however. i read so manhy fuckin fics lmao. so this is part 1. ladies and theydies and everyone else, without further ado... them.
MULTICHAPS - COMPLETED
put your lips close to mine (as long as they don’t touch) - @percyjacksonfan3
Here's the thing about Chrissy Cunningham: she actually is the straight laced dependable good girl that everyone thinks she is.
She's also, until she starts having these weird visions that make her feel like she's going out of her mind, insanely bored.
Or, alternatively, the fix-it AU where Chrissy doesn't die and she and Eddie try and figure out what the hell is going on with her. And with them. Also, the usual gang is there. Eventually. Because these two need some serious help fighting demons and figuring out that they are not just friends.
this is one of the best fics i’ve ever read. can’t recommend enough! vecna au, it feels ripped straight out of canon. the first hellcheer fic i read and what started the obsession!
someone reaching back for me - @enoughtotemptme
The first time Eddie Munson watches Chrissy Cunningham die isn't the worst. It's the second, because he had thought she was going to live this time.
//
The universe made a cosmic mistake the day Chrissy Cunningham was allowed to die. It set off a chain of events that led to catastrophe, at first local, then global, and eventually interdimensional. It led to the end of all there is, was, and would ever be.
But the universe is rather interested in self-preservation. It couldn’t save itself in the future, but it could save itself then.
If only someone would get it right.
vecna timeloop au. fuckin BANGER of a fic. a little angst, of course, (okay, kind of a lot) but it’s very worth it!!!
graceland, too. (whatever she wants) - @cunnninghams
“Have you ever thought about anything you want to do before you die?”
“Who said anything about dying? I’m gonna live forever, Cunningham. A modern day Dracula, if you will.”
“… those bats didn’t bite you that hard.”
***
tired of living in fear after helping save hawkins, chrissy decides to make a bucket list. and who better to help cross things off than her unlikely new best friend, eddie munson.
bucketlist au baby! kind of a vecna au? the party defeats him anyway and this takes plce after that. sweet fluffy story (with a hint of angst) and rebel chrissy, which i love. so good ♥
ride the sky - @deathinasmalltown
He tucks his tin lunchbox under his arm, shoves the door open, and stumbles inside—
It’s very obviously not a bathroom, as he gets an eyeful of someone’s pale ass, against white sheets.
“Uh, sorry. My bad,” he mumbles at the two teenagers fucking on the bed.
They’re far too into it to even notice that he barged in on them. Well, he’d argue that the girl might be overselling it, if her exaggerated moans are anything to go by—he’s seen enough porn to know an actress when he sees one…or hears one, more like.
He tries to back out of the room as quickly and quietly as possible, but he yelps in shock at being blocked from leaving. He twists towards the person in his way just as he’s roughly shouldered to the side by a flurry of strawberry blonde hair.
yall. this one is so good lol. eddie is so funny and their chemistry is off the charts. it’s a big fuck jason carver from me! high school au, no vecna.
you really got me now. - @ melodicvinyl
Eddie Munson is not a hero. He’s the first one to admit that, and so even he is surprised when, two weeks into attending Hawkins University, he rescues a cheerleader.
Chrissy Cunningham is finally free of Oakview, Indiana and, most importantly, her mother. She's never felt at home anywhere until she meets a metalhead who lends her his pajamas and walks her home in the morning.
A 1980s College AU.
WOOOO BOY. i don’t even have words for this one. so good. college fluff, no vecna. it’s like chicken soup for the soul. can’t reccomend enough. there’s a sequel that’s incredible.
it’s different for girls - @adelaideelaine
Chrissy Cunningham experiences an unexpected sexual awakening during her senior year of high school.
exactly what it sounds like; chrissy coming to terms with herself and her life. so good. their chemistry in this one is PALPABLE. everything by this author is amazing!!! no vecna au <3
duality - @broomclosetkink
“Holy fuck, did I take acid?” he asks. Because he’s staring at himself in the mirror, but he is Chrissy Cunningham. Her hair is messy from being slept on, her face is bare of make-up, and she’s wearing a soft pink gown nightgown. It has little white flowers on it and a lace ribbon. He can see her nipples through the thin fabric.
“What the fuck,” he whispers. “What the fuck, what the fuck, what the fuck.” Chrissy’s face twists with his expressions, and Chrissy’s mouth forms the words, and Chrissy’s voice is a little hysterical in the big room.
OR
Eddissy Bodswap!AU
MAN y’all this is SUUUCH a good one lmao. i’ll happily read fifty fics with the same premise, but what i love about this one is that i haven’t seen this premise before or since i read this fic. sweet, heartwarming, sexy, and i cried. what more do you need!
tenderness - @adelaideelaine
Eddie Munson is determined to keep his head down and get through his last summer as a counselor at Camp Hawkins Lake (aka Camp Hawk)...until a certain cheerleader-turned-lifeguard catches his eye.
yeah baby! hot and heavy at a summer camp. literally what more can you ask for. no vecna here, just hot wet american summer vibes.
you drew stars around my scars - @em_jaye
Hellfire Ink,” she repeated, glancing around the still-unsettled front room. “You’re a…tattoo parlor?”
“No,” he shook his head. “We specialize in Satanic calligraphy.”
Chrissy stared at him for a long beat before she snorted and covered her mouth to hide a laugh. Suddenly, Eddie wanted to make her do that again. And again.
THEE hellcheer flower shop/ tattoo parlor au. i reread this hoe and cry all the time. it’s so sweet, the story is so satisfying, and the characters feel like canon even in an au. so good!
of roses and thorns - CaCD
A soulmate AU
In a world where you share all your feelings with someone you most likely will never get to meet, Chrissy is trying at all costs to keep her head above water as she lives a life she has never got to choose for herself.
Enters Eddie, the last person she would have thought could bring happiness into her life. He shows her how to roll a joint, how to take control of her life and, maybe, if she finds the courage to meet him halfway, how to follow the string in her heart all the way to the other end.
Or: Chrissy and Eddie are soulmates, but things are never just that simple
one thing about me is that i love a mf soulmate au. and i’ve never seen two kids that are soulmates more than chrissy and eddie. a really good one.

Stranger Things Au
Badgirl Chrissy
Tumblr media
Chrissy never enjoyed listening to her mother. She knew right away that her mother's ploys to make her eat less were fucked up. Her mom even used her best "loving mother" voice to get Chrissy to listen.
Still she sometimes felt the need to listen and to purge. She was never given breakfast and liked to spend her first 5 minutes at school smoking, it cut her hunger and made her feel good.
Passing through the halls she got glares from a group of popular cheerleaders, girls who in another life she would've considered her friends. Chrissy couldn't help but smirk and flip them off as she passed, hearing them gasp as she turned into her first class of the day, only seconds before the final bell went off.
While she might've rebelled against all she could, she kept her grades up. They were exceptional; the classes weren't difficult for her. Which helped her this year with all the scholarship offers she has been receiving. As soon as graduation is over, she's getting the hell out of Hawkins; away from her parents as fast as she can. Making a life for herself and plans to only visit for her brother and the few friends she has.
She tries to make herself as unapproachable as possible. Keeping a resting bitch face and a no care attitude while she walks through the halls; it's very effective. Everyone here was fake, pretending to be what they weren't and she wasn't about to lie to herself the way everyone else did. All but three people were the exception to this rule.
The trio of friends was an odd one. Never in their life did the three think they'd be as close as they had become. Jonathan Byers, Robin Buckley, and Chrissy Cunningham had nothing in common on paper. They all came from different wealth backgrounds and households. Jonathan from a loving home; being raised by a single mother. Robin's parents are happily married. And Chrissy, a broken home with high expectations.
They found themselves bonding in their photography class freshman year and have been inseparable since. Jonathan and Chrissy joined the student paper together to handle the photography. Chrissy enjoyed teasing Jonathan about his obvious crush on Nancy when the girl's back was turned to them.
They ate lunch in the paper office and worked on the next spread. While Robin ate with the band kids in the lunch room. Jonathan and Robin had somehow figured out that Chrissy was never sent to school with food, so they always packed extra to make up a lunch for her. It was awkward at first but after she realized how much they cared she couldn't help but cry.
Eddie "the freak" Muson was the third exception. Chrissy had met him last year when she made a trip to the picnic bench hidden in the middle of the woods. She was looking to get a smoke break during her study hall; planning on completing her homework as she sat at the table outside.
Eddie has thrown a wrench in her plans; sitting at the table already when she arrived. He thought she was there to buy drugs because this was his dealing table. After clearing up the confusion, he invited her to sit. They got to talking and she learned they knew each other back in middle school, when she was still under her mother's thumb and doing cheer.
"You know, I didn't realize it was you at first Cunningham. But I have to say, I dig the new look." He took a drag from the cigarette they were sharing as his eyes roamed her body.
"Have to say the same Munson. Not a fan of the monk lifestyle anymore?" Chrissy teased back.
Ever since then, she found herself hanging with Eddie after school. She smoked pot for the first time in his trailer. Just like when she was with Jonathan and Robin; she could drop her cold exterior and fully enjoy herself with him.
He taught her how to play guitar and picked her up after her curfew to join him at shows at the Hideout. She loved getting him worked up by wearing leather skirts and stockings; the way he stuttered and turned red was addicting. And she loved to be the one to cause it.
Chrissy was crushing on him hard. She knew that, Robin and Jonathan knew that. Everyone but Eddie seemed to be aware of her feelings. She planned on telling him soon because she's pretty sure he felt the same way, if his long looks were anything to go by.
Her relationship with her mother and father was strained. In middle school, Chrissy had religiously followed her mother's "words of wisdom". When she had hit 8th grade her thoughts changed.
It was a Sunday when the family was at church. The priest was doing a sermon about sinning and lust. Maria Finegold, that's who they were talking about. A woman who followed her mother's rules to a T. But still was blamed for the infidelity of her husband. They were told that she must've done something wrong. That's why he cheated, it wasn't his own fault. It was never the man's fault.
It broke something in Chrissy. She realized it could be her, following her mother's rules, but still getting blamed because a man couldn't keep it in his pants.
That day forward she stopped listening to her mother. Both her parents tried to warn her about the damage it'd do to their reputation. They even tried blackmailing her, saying they'd send her to the institution. It backfired after she gleefully told them she'd make the most beautiful scene for the neighborhood.
From then on, they mostly left her to her own devices. Getting the cold shoulder from her mother was nothing new so no change was felt. Her father didn't speak with her before she changed her attitude. They were never a touchy feely family. They didn't hug or confide in each other. It didn't feel like a family, it felt like a group of people put in a house together and told to survive together.
Matthew was the exception. Chrissy's little brother and her got on like fire. He was 5 years younger than Chrissy herself, but they loved spending time with each other. Hold up in the other room, watching a movie or reading a book together.
They spoke freely with one another. Sharing their secrets and making plans to escape together. She promised that after he turned 18, she'd bring him to wherever she lives at the time.
Matthew had pressure put on him as a "man" of the household. Told to be firm and dominating. That women didn't like weak men; over sharing would cause a woman to leave you and women didn't like weak men. She worked on showing Matt that it was untrue. Women liked open men. They loved bonding with them and feeling like equals, she contradicted everything her parents were telling him.
She hit on that the most. Being equal with the woman you love. After Matthew embarrassingly confessed that he liked a girl in his grade; Erica Sinclair. She couldn't help but feel proud about how Matthew described her.
"She's just so unapologetically herself Chrissy, it's amazing." He gushed to her after school about the other 8th grader almost everyday. Of course after Chrissy's daily spat with her mother.
Chrissy didn't dress how her mother wanted her to. She flew out of the house every morning before her mother could get any comments about what she was wearing; not like she was getting fed in the morning anyways. Waiting until after the day was over to listen to her mother's shrill voice complain pathetically about how she's ruining the family image.
"Christine, what on God's green earth are you wearing?! I can see your nipples!" Her mother shrieked. It was always the same thing with her.
"Mom, if men stare it's not my fault. This is a natural part of my body, they need to keep it in their pants." She was bored, leaning against the doorframe. Her mother was like clockwork about this.
Matthew was at the top of the stairs waiting for it to be over. Rolling his eyes along with Chrissy the entire time.
Chrissy could handle it. She's almost out of this house. A scholarship at the institute of the arts waiting for her.
Just 4 more months. 4 more months until she packs her shit into a van with her 3 favorite people and gets the hell out of this town.

Hellcheer Au... But I don't know what 😭😭😭
Bad Boy Actor and Angel Model
Bad Boy or seemingly bad boy non confirming actor Eddie Munson and new comer model Chrissy Cunningham have been seen together lately. Reportedly her mother (momager) and ex Beau are not happy about it. Chrissy has always been an admirer of Eddie Munson's work, but because of her mother's hold and boyfriends jealousy, she was never able to interact with him at events, until a creative opportunity arises that even her mother could turn it down.
"Fuck princess," he growled against her throat, his hands up her skirt, shoving the scrap of underwear to the side. The music of the awards show could be heard in the distance but they would not be perturbed.
Detectives in Fantasy World Hawkins AU
Eddie Munson comes from a line of convicts. If it wasn't for his uncle Wayne, the previous commissioner he'd probably be with his father in jail. Now he's one of the best detectives in Hawkins.
Teachers / Business owners Au
Eddie Munson and Chrissy Cunningham are two business owners. Eddie owns the well-worn tattoo parlor, while Chrissy, much to her mother's charging, has recently opened a bakery.
Follow the lives of the teachers at Hawkins High through their eyes and the eyes of their students. Art teacher Chrissy, Rebel English Teacher Eddie, History Teacher Steve, Jounalism prof Nancy, photography teacher Jonathan, Gym teacher Billy, Music Teacher Max, Botany Teacher Argyle. The rest and Jason still deciding what teachers they'd be...
Renaissance Era rebels
Chrissy runs away to join the rebels. Betrothed to Lord Carver, Christine Cunningham - who's forced to watch her family uphold monarchy and further make the poor poorer - meets a band of rebels when she runs away. One of them being her childhood friend Steven Harrington, disgraced son of Duke Harrington who followed his ex lover Nancy Byers and her family over to the side of the revolutionsts lead by her mother in law Joyce Byers and her husband James Hopper.

For the hellcheer role swap AU that I’m not going to write, I feel like Chrissy would’ve still experienced abusive and controlling behaviour from her mother and she would’ve grown up wealthy with her parents but a few years ago as she started to rebel more and become less ashamed about her interests (metal/dnd) she decided she had enough and ran away and her auntie took her in, but her auntie isn’t wealthy like her parents and she lives in the trailer park. Chrissy’s auntie encourages Chrissy to be her true authentic self, she loves and supports her and protects her from Laura when she tries to scare or pressure her into returning home.
I picture Drew Barrymore as her auntie, something like this, because Drew has such safe and comforting vibes.

No, but hear me out; a ChrissyLives AU but she and Eddie are reacquainted after Vecna's attack.
Eddie's heard the rumors, he's seen the front page of The Hawkins Post, he's watched the million 'breaking news' segments on tv; Chrissy Cunningham, captain of the cheerleading squad and crowned queen of Hawkins High, had been found late at night at their town's ring road, laying suspiciously unconscious and in great disarray next to her car, driver's side door open, engine still running, the radio softly playing. And then a nerdy reporter from the school newspaper was found dead and a jock from the basketball team had the same fate soon after and these tragedies were just as shocking as seeing Cunningham return to school after spring break sans her emerald cheerleading uniform and signature high ponytail, in clothes two sizes bigger than her, in darker colors, in combat boots and with her blue eyeshadow being swapped for black, bold eyeliner.
Face ghastly and doe eyes deprived of any light, she looks as if she's completely uninterested anymore, ignoring anything that has to do with their fake little high school world, labels and social hierarchy and all the teenage drama in between. So Eddie can't do anything but stare, keep noticing her, keep examining her, like she is suddenly a wild species in this fish bawl of forced conformity. One day the rumor mill's hot topic is her and golden boy Jason Carver breaking up and the next Eddie is doing a double take, as he watches her stride towards him and his van, asking for anything to help her take the edge off and relax.
Later that day, at his designated drug-dealing table in the woods, he finds out that she wants - no, needs - something to quiet down the noise; something to ease her deranged mind. And Eddie gives it to her. And even brings her to his trailer for something even stronger, per her request. And for some reason he has trouble pinpointing, he keeps trying to help her more, actually help her, as a person, as maybe a friend, because this rogue, dark parade Chrissy is a glitch in the Matrix that needs to be fixed - or so he lies to himself. And she keeps pushing him away and keeps spirialling, hiding more into her shell and making stupid desicions and rebelling against her mother and talking back to teachers and getting drunk in shitty bars and asking for more and more of his stuff each time she comes knocking at his door at midnight and now he is not curious anymore, he is concerned and he wants to talk but she just shushes him with a kiss and tries to make a pass at him, because she wants to feel something, to feel alive again, and, after he gets over the initial shock, he stops her and she is hurt and runs away and they never talk about this and she never asks him again for anything.
Until Henderson and his weird tomboy friend that happens to be Eddie's neighbor, Mayfield, are asking an awful lot questions about Chrissy Cunningham and they seem concerned too but for something that Eddie can't quite grasp, even after they take turns trying to explain. And now he goes to talk to Chrissy again, determined and persistent while she tries to brush him off, and, after a long conversation, she starts bawling her eyes out, one part of her relieved that she is not alone in this and the other devastated because everything he told her sounds crazy and horrifying, but he promises that they're going to deal with this together and she finds a weird sense of comfort in his words, her hand seeking his in the dark and their fingers intertwining, silently sealing the promise.

tell me about the greater hawkins polycule? i think i can guess some of it but i'm just obsessed with these characters and i never really considered a polycule before, yet it is a god tier idea akfgsjs
gsjsgsjsh ok so i have to preface this by saying my main idea for this setting is no upside down au, or even w upside down its nobody dies au cause it includes characters that did not make it in canon but canon is a toy we play with
THAT SAID i also want to add in this au billy is trying to become a better person and unlearn the toxicity he learned from his father. being abused is not an excuse for anything he did but it does offer a lot of context, and i think without his dad in the picture he would have room to grow
SO THE POLYCULE starting w my main blorbo my beloved Eddie Munson. I read him as being only into men, but he canonically has a crush on chrissy so hes bi in this. He's dating Chrissy and Steve OBVIOUSLY
Steve is also dating Billy (i think they have a lot in common being ex-popular jocks who were different levels of asshole but still both kinda sucked, and Steve having already changed could be a huge positive influence for Billy) and Nancy
Nancy is also dating Jonathan, because love triangles are stupid, Robin and Barb, because i decided she's bi i will not be taking opinions on this unless u agree w me. Shes the one w most romantic partners in the au
Jonathan is also dating Argyle ofc
Robin is dating Barb and Chrissy because she deserves to have 3 gfs and i havent read it but i know she was friends w barb in the book rebel robin or smth like that i forgot the title
So, circling back, Chrissy is dating Eddie and Robin. Robin is still a lesbian obviously so her and Eddie are just besties. Steve is still her soulmate (platonic) i think tbh u could make an argument for queerplatonic here but main point is they arent romantically involved
Barb is dating Nancy and Robin.
Billy is dating Steve but sometimes he and Eddie get together, partly because they're both dating Steve but also another reason i choose not to elaborate on in this blog.
Argyle is only here for Jonathan tbh but hes so supportive of Jonathan and Nancy and the extended polycule as well, he and Eddie get along great. I imagine Argyle as demisexual so atm he rlly is only interested in Jonathan, i dont see that changing but it could!
So basically its all the older teens*. The children are NOT included. Aside from like max being billy's sister and steddie being dustin's dad (2 in 1 father woah)
This happened because i love polyships i love multi shipping and i love the greater seattle area polycule meme.
*yes im aware Eddie is like 20 or 21 but hes still a highschooler and very much has the mentality of one. See: Munson Doctrine

106,107 for eddie and chrissy please
106; do you believe in aliens?
107; do you believe in ghosts?
genre; fluff warnings; dr*gs, mentions of s*x but no nsfw stuff happening ship; eddie x chrissy notes; au, chrissy went to eddie 4 drugs for less dramatic reasons (read: no vecna). they get h*gh and talk about stuff
Tumblr media
"so now we just lay here and wait for it to kick in?" chrissy asked, as the two were laying on eddie's bed.
chrissy cunningham had realized something. her life was boring. she'd had the most boring boyfriend for three years. he was good looking, the captain of his team, had good grades, rich family... refused to sleep with chrissy before marriage. chrissy was also told by her family that she was not to have sex before marriage either. "because that's what good girls do," her mother had told her; that's why chrissy was the leader of the celibacy club of the school. chrissy's parents thought jason was good for her; for early mentioned reasons.
chrissy was bored. she was a cheer star, she had a lot of friends (who didn't really know her and chrissy only counted them as friends due to hanging out at school). she got good grades, she had never skipped a day of school other than for the reason of having caught the flu etc; but never simply for the hell of it. she always took care of her appearance, after her mother having yapping on and on about it for years. she'd never stayed out later than 8pm, she'd never drank alcohol, never smoked a cigarette; never said a curse word. she was the perfect example of the perfect girl ━ and she hated it.
that's why on the last month of her high school senior year, she'd decided to make a change. she dumped jason, telling him it was because high school was about to end and they were going off to different colleges... all that. the next thing to do, was basically ruin her reputation of the perfect girl. she'd thought about ways to do it. get drunk in the middle of a school day, flip off the principal, strip off her cheer uniform mid routine... but then she got it.
eddie munson. the guy from the hellfire club, the guy who played guitar in corroded coffin. also the guy who chrissy remembers from the middle school talent show. she knew he was dealing drugs, and that was the winner idea. drugs. she needed to do drugs. she didn't really know anything about them, but she figured that someone like eddie munson would definitely know more than someone like wendy lou, the party bimbo.
so here she now was, in eddie munson's bedroom, getting high. at first eddie didn't believe his eyes and ears, having the queen of hawkins high walking over to him, asking him to smoke with her. she'd told him all about her plan to rebel, and to be honest, eddie had found it kinda badass. so he'd agreed.
"yeah," eddie said. "now we wait for it to kick in."
"i think it already kinda has," chrissy mumbled, holding her hand up in the air, watching her fingers from the distance. eddie turned to look at her, letting out an amused snort.
"what?" chrissy turned to look at him too.
"it's still just super weird to me," eddie said. "that i'm currently high with chrissy cunningham. in my bedroom."
chrissy smacked him playfully. "come on, it's not that weird."
they both looked at each other in silence, before bursting out in laughter together.
"okay, it's super weird," chrissy admitted, and eddie laughed, rolling on his side.
"so what do you usually do when you're high?" chrissy asked, and they turned to their sides, looking at each other.
"it depends." eddie shrugged a little. "i listen to music, write songs... have sex."
"you have sex?" chrissy blurted out, shocked.
"yeah...?" eddie found her reaction a little amused. "what, you don't think i'm handsome enough for that?"
"no, i just-" chrissy blabbered, feeling her cheeks turning red. "i, uhm-"
"what?" eddie asked as he noticed the small blush on her cheeks. then the realization hit him, and he got a bit flustered as well. he did not just mention sex to chrissy cunningham; the leader of the celibacy club.
"oh, shit- i'm sorry." he blurted out. "sex isn't good. it's bad. very bad; very very sinful."
chrissy turned to her back, closing her eyes. this had gotten awkward very fast. she did not want to talk about sex with eddie munson. she felt embarrassed, awkward; suddenly she found herself caring what he thought of her. did he think she was a freak? a prude?
"you know i think it's uhm, i think it's cool." eddie tried to save the situation. "the whole celibacy thing. i think you absolutely should wait till marriage. i would join the club too, if i could."
"do you believe in aliens?" chrissy suddenly asked, and eddie raised his brows. chrissy wanted to change the subject, and this was the first question to pop up in her mind.
"huh?" eddie asked, and chrissy turned to look at him.
"aliens. do you believe in them?" she asked.
"uhm..." eddie was a bit lost. "sure... i guess. do you?"
"i feel like that's something i want to believe in." chrissy looked around the room. believing in aliens was definitely something her parents wouldn't approve of. so yes, she did believe in aliens, starting from now. "what about ghosts?"
"definitely." eddie said.
"have you ever seen one?" chrissy turned to look at him again, nudging closer. eddie felt his palms sweating as she got closer to him, and just now he realized how good she smelled.
"in movies." eddie said fast, trying not to get overwhelmed by chrissy so close to him; and terribly failing.
"i've never seen a horror movie before." chrissy said, and eddie's eyes widened in shock.
"what-?!" he asked.
"i was never allowed to watch them at home," chrissy explained. "and jason is afraid of them, so we never did it at his house either."
eddie snorted, rolling his eyes. of course jason was afraid of them.
"can i ask you something?" chrissy asked.
"sure." eddie said.
"do you think i'm stupid?"
eddie looked at chrissy, not helping but feeling a little bad for her. why would she ask that?
"no," eddie said, one hundred percent honest. "i actually think you're really cool."
"what?" chrissy smiled. "really?"
"hell yeah!" eddie blurted out. "i think you're way cooler than all the other girls in hawkins. no offense to any of them."
"now you're just trying to flatter me." chrissy let out a small laugh.
"but it's true!" eddie tried. "i think it's brave what you're doing. rebelling against what the rest of the world wants you to do."
"but isn't that also what you're doing?" chrissy asked softly.
eddie looked at her for a moment, before he let out a small chuckle and glanced down.
"i don't know." he said. "i'm just doing what i want to."
chrissy was staring at eddie. she had never really looked at him this close, and was suddenly seeing him in a completely different light. he had absolutely beautiful eyes, and his hair was bouncy and looked extremely soft. he had tiny little dimples when he smiled, and he actually had quite broad shoulders.
"what?" eddie asked, noticing the way chrissy looked at him. "do i have something on my face?"
"can i ask you something? again?" chrissy asked.
"sure." eddie answered again. normally, chrissy would never have the guts to ask something like this so straight forward; but she felt so relaxed right now, here with eddie. so she did.
"can you kiss me?"
eddie blinked at chrissy, mind blank. can he what now? chrissy was staring at her, deer eyes also blinking, filled with curiosity.
"uhm-" eddie was at a loss for words. "y-you want me to... kiss you?"
"yes." chrissy nodded. "i do."
wow, eddie thought to himself. when he woke up this morning and started eating his captain crunch out of the box, this was definitely not what he was expecting to do later on.
"okay then," eddie said, kind of awkwardly starting to shift closer to her. "just- are you absolutely sure?"
chrissy nodded. she was already impatient.
eddie swallowed visibly, feeling some sweat form in his forehead. he'd kissed girls before, obviously; but this time it felt different for some reason. it felt like there was this tension so thick, you could cut it with a knife. when he was close enough, he grabbed chrissy's cheek gently. chrissy felt like every atom of her body was on fire, feeling eddie this close to her. she swallowed, licking her lips. eddie's gaze kept flying from her lips to her eyes, and he could almost hear her heartbeat thump in her chest. chrissy had never kissed another boy, only jason. slowly eddie started to lean in closer, closing the gap between their lips. he pressed her lips on hers softly, pulling her face closer with his hand. his hand was large, nearly the size of chrissy's cheek. chrissy let out a small hum against the kiss; his lips were soft, and he was definitely a good kisser. eddie's eyes nearly rolled in his head by how good it felt kissing chrissy. her lips tasted like strawberry, and the way they pressed up against his, sent him to space. he had to pull away, eyebrows slightly scrunched, looking at her face, trying to read her reaction. chrissy only looked back at him, trying to gather her thoughts; and then she started to smile. relieved, eddie smiled too, letting out a small, almost shy laugh as he pulled his hand away from her cheek.
"wow." chrissy said.
"wow to you, too." eddie said.
"that was the best kiss i've had." chrissy commented, and eddie started smiling, and then dropped his head down, chuckling.
"nah, you're just trying to flatter me." he repeated her earlier words.
"can you do it again?" chrissy asked, and eddie turned to look at her again.
"i don't know..." he murmured. he didn't want to do anything she was going to regret sober. one kiss, sure; that was harmless. but a second one? eddie knew if he kissed her again, he'd kiss her even better than the last time. so what if tomorrow she woke up and regretted this whole thing? he didn't want to make her uncomfortable, and he didn't want to make a fool out of himself. he liked her, and if the next day she pretended like he didn't exist, it would hurt him.
"please." chrissy said, and eddie wanted to cry.
"at least buy me dinner first." eddie joked. chrissy let out a small chuckle, blushing as she turned her head away. eddie felt bad; did he embarrass her?
"i'm sorry." chrissy said. "you don't have to, i, uhm... if you don't want to-"
"no, no," eddie rushed to say. "no, i definitely want to."
chrissy started to smile as she turned to look at him again. "you do?"
"shit, i do, so much." eddie blurted out. "it's just; you're high. i don't want you to regret this tomorrow."
chrissy's smile softened, as did the look on her eyes. she'd been here with eddie for less than a day, but she already felt his presence more calming than jason's ever was. she felt like he'd known him forever; and she felt bad that she actually hadn't.
"you're sweet." chrissy said.
"thank you." eddie nodded, and chrissy chuckled. she bit her lip, trying to stop herself from smiling so much.
"don't do that." eddie said. "i like your smile."
chrissy blushed a little again, lifting her gaze back up to him. eddie smiled at her, and chrissy slowly sneaked her hand into his large one. eddie glanced down at their hands, feeling his cheeks burning up even more when chrissy intertwined their fingers.
"it's okay, i'm allowed to hold hands." chrissy joked about the celibacy club, and eddie let out a chuckle. chrissy nudged a bit closer, leaning her head against eddie's shoulder. eddie's body tensed at first, but when he felt chrissy's body rise up and down from her soft breathing against his body, he relaxed as well.
"can i ask you something now?" eddie asked.
"of course." chrissy answered.
"are you free tomorrow night?"
chrissy smiled, playing with eddie's fingers softly.
"i am."
"good." eddie said. "i want to show you a horror movie."

Hellcheer and Rumbelle crossover AU?
Oh you fight DIRTY. I like you. OUAT season 1 AU. Let’s do this!
1.) In the Enchanted Forest, Chrissy is the youngest of the Twelve Dancing Princesses, and Eddie the poor soldier who finds out where they were going every night.
2.) Eddie was conscripted into the Ogres War. He deserted, and was on the verge of being caught and executed when Rumpelstiltskin appeared and cursed him with invisibility for seemingly no reason. In reality, Eddie’s uncle made a deal with the Dark One to keep his nephew safe. Rumpel, understanding both Wayne’s fear of losing his boy and Eddie’s anger at being abandoned by his criminal father, waived his normal price.
3.) Chrissy was the most rebellious of the twelve sisters. When an invisible Eddie followed them to the neighboring castle, Chrissy was the only one who could sense him. After three days of getting to know one another, they share True Love’s Kiss, which breaks Eddie’s curse. The two get married and live happily until the Dark Curse strikes.
4.) In Storybrooke, Eddie is known as the town freak. Desperate to leave the town and make a name for himself, something always stops him from crossing the town line. And Chrissy, once the most rebellious of her sisters, is held under her parents’ thumb. When Emma comes to Storybrooke and the curse begins to weaken, Chrissy begins to rebel. Her mother speaks with her good friend, Mayor Mills, who suggests that Chrissy have an extended stay in the asylum hidden in the hospital basement.
5.) Through trial and error, Chrissy realizes that there’s a gap in the wall that allows her to speak to the occupant of the neighboring cell: a girl with a foreign accent, who doesn’t remember who she is or why she’s there. When Eddie works with Storybrooke’s new sheriff to find Chrissy, Chrissy tells Emma about the girl in the next cell. This leads to Belle being released from her cell early. Mr. Gold, learning that his lost love is still alive, offers her a safe place away from Regina.
The story would probably continue from here with cursed Storybrooke Hellcheer and Rumbelle, but that’s a start.

Role reversal AU concepts
First off is that Chrissy goes to Steve instead. Maybe she remembers going to his parties and figuring he'd have something to take the edge off. Steve then being the one to witness her death and subsequently running off as he Knows this has something to do with the Upsidedown, but wants to try to handle it on his own.
No one else they know has a car, so the kids turn to Eddie to help the track down Steve, putting him in the role of the babysitter and Steve left feeling guilty, on edge, and self sacrificing for failing to save someone Again.
Second is full on Steve being an outcast, weird kid and Eddie gaining popularity for being a party boy and always having the hook up. Steve being his own brand of outcast/rebel, listening to Devo and The B-52s and Echo and the Bunnymen and Oingo Boingo. Having his own brand of odd, relating to this music that appears vapid on the outside, but hides these deeply political undertones.
This is mostly nothing and is mostly made in response to seeing role reversals where Steve basically IS Eddie and listens to metal and such, but imo even an outcast Steve would still have his poppy style/nature. He'd honestly fit in a little better with Robin and the kids in this style.
