The evolution of my beautiful red #Amaryllis opening.😀✨ (Ah we need new emojis) - (insert red flower emoji here) Last year it had two stalks at once. I have a deep love for red flowers. They have the most intense red color to them. Like scarlet .... I never have to do anything to her for her to bloom like this. She has been in the same pot for over 3 years and honestly, i am scared to move her. I don't want to piss her off. She was given to me in the pot and i just keep loving her .... She seems to do just fine as she is, but maybe next year I will be brave and put her in God's hands and just pray she pulls through the transfer .... For now, i only add a little extra potting mix with some fertilizer around the pot in early spring and put her outside. I cut her stalk off at the end of the growing season and i overwinter her in the same pot every year. That's all. She does the rest. Isn't she stunning? 😍 .... I can't believe those flowers come out of that one bulb. I just can't stand it. Nature blows my mind non-stop. It amazes me and renders me speechless constantly .... My husband and I were just watching the new series called "Planet" on Netflix last night (we love those documentaries) and we were constantly looking at eachother with our jaws hanging down in astonishment of the new things we were learning about nature and our planet. God left nothing out. He made this perfect, immensely rich and diverse big ball of life for us. Just for us. It overwhelms me. My TJs amaryllis this year was quite the bargain. It gave one giant bloom, then when its second bud was knocked off it produced another one, and after that bloomed another stem produced another bloom and then three more. Here are the two current blooms and one more bud.
