MAMA Day 1

Although I missed the red carpet and the beginning for Day 1, I did catch just about 98% of the main ceremony.

Red Carpets are my guilty pleasure, but due to my schedule I wasn't able to watch it yesterday. So today I shall be watchin the redca for Day 2.

About the main ceremony yesterday, it felt so bare performance wise. With the exceptions of Kara (Kara!!!!), Stray Kids and Forestella, I felt unimpressed by all other stages. Well, TXT did good, but I'm a little biased towards them, I'll admit that. I'm not saying it's an issue with the groups themselves, but something did feel incomplete. I'm very disappointed, as everyone else is, in the camera work. We missed key parts of some performances because of it, not to mention the mess during the girl groups' collaboration stage. HOWEVER, I'm not entirely sure how much good camera work would've helped for some of those performances. The girl groups' collaboration stage felt more like a flash mob dance cover, to songs we already saw being performed by the original artists literally minutes before the collaboration stage. I get that it's disfficult to pull together a performance for so many people and you have a very little time to actually perform, but compared to past years I was a little disappointed.... By everything on day 1 honestly.

But the good parts! Kara came back and I cried. I got into them quite late as a teen, it was around their Pandora comeback but I spent whole nights watching them and learning their names, followed them thourgh all the way to the disbandment and then...... You all know. I was beyond happy to see them come back, the song was amazing. The prformance, although nothing jaw dropping, was so powerful. It immediately made me feel that girl group energy that I had been missing the entire ceremony. You could feel their professionalism and experience through their performance and it was so, so good.

I did start watching the main ceremony somewhere halfway through Bibi's performance of Animal Farm, I'm very happy I was able to catch it. Her collaboration stage with Hyolyn was really good. Still I can't help feeling that there was some sort of vital energy missing from the entire venue. Again, not blaming it on the artists. I think there were several factors at play for this, such as time they had to prepare the performances, the limited time, MAMA's poor camerawork etc.

As for Street Man Fighter, again, something was missing. Great dance, but we already knew they are great dancers? I would've liked to see.... Just a little more. Something a little bit more powerful, more creative. And quite honestly, I would've liked to see it without Kang Daniel. I know he's a great dancer, but as he was the MC for the show I just don't see it appropriate.... Even if some of the soundtracks were sung by him... Or was it one soundtrack? I don't remember now, my memory is failing me. Anyways, I would've liked to see a better performance from them because I know they CAN and HAVE done better.

Pretty much this is what I had to say. Currentlty getting ready to watch Day 2 redca. But I'll probably take a while to write about that too. I want to enjoy it and let it sink in. I gave Day 1 a full night of sleep so I can really sort out how I felt about all the perfomances.

Name of your favorite muse: Ness! I first started being passionate about him when I played Melee at age three and was drawn to the boy in the red cap. Since then he's been a major comfort character in my life - when I went through school, very bullied, I would often pretend he was in my class and talk to him, imagining his responses. I think that's why I like writing him so much. He's easily my main muse.

Name of your very first muse: First time Rping, period? It would be my self insert, Lightningdawn. Not counting that, it would be Ness, actually, in a crossover roleplay my friend hosted on the old warrior cat forums. On Tumblr, it was Gumi Megpoid over at @/carrots-and-cappellas.

Name of your meanest muse(s): Not counting Dark Pit since I might drop him - Leaf. She can easily come across as mean due to her disposition, and tends to accidentally tread on people’s feelings.

Name of your nicest muse(s): Lucas and Marth! Both are very kind and prefer to use words over coming down to combat, and like to take care of their friends. Pit is also up there.

Name of your most troubled muse: Ness. Ness is a whole disaster of a muse. He’s very heavily traumatized, and though he tries to hide it, it tends to come through when he’s afraid or angry.

Character you have the most muse for atm: Red will not leave and considering I don’t have many threads with him right now...yeah

Two of your muses that would never get along: Red and Pit do not get along, and Red and Ness quarrel a lot as well due to the differences in their personality, though unlike Red and Pit, they’re friends.

Two of your muses that could be best friends: Red and Lucas, Kris and Marth, Ness and Lucas, and Red and Leaf are already pretty much best friends! 

Two of your muses that would make a cute couple: ...Kris/Marth is one of my OTPs and I will die for it. Redcas can also be nice as a slowburn, and Leafcas or Ness/Leaf can just be funny for the irony.

Two of your muses that are most similar: Leaf and Ness share a lot of similar personality traits, both being very fiery! They both are very devoted to their friends, both tend to be spur of the moment types, and both are extroverted.

Name of the muse you’d be best friends with irl: I think I’d get along best with Lucas, truthfully! We’re a lot alike, and I don’t think he’d wear me out like Leaf would. I would also so be best friends with Ness given the chance.

Name of the muse you’d probably hate irl: The only one that comes to mind is Pittoo, even though like I said, I might drop him. He’s too snarky and deadpan, and I’m a really sensitive person.
