going to chinatown w/my friend today I'm excited for my miso ramen & boba tea & mochi donuts + a nice long walk in tom ping park. I haven't gone anywhere but the corner store in like 2 weeks & I'm pretty sure that's why I relapsed so hard bc when I'm doing nothing but lying in bed, bored & depressed, the temptation to take more than my allotted dose is sooo hard to resist

are you going to post the house from the video on youtube? I'm in awe of him!
unfortunately no 😞 the build is quite large and has a LOT of items & cc so the download file would be huge, and i'm not sure it could run very well on most peoples computers...
but i intend on building more and sharing these builds on my patreon & youtube, so keep an eye out :) they will still be very cc heavy, but they shouldn't be huge houses. i am working on a build now that i intend to share soon.
(floorplan here so you can see what i mean by huge and full of cc lol)

oh i hate selling my skills to people. "hi yes! we are peers! you are seeking my skills and want to pay! but you are asking about it in a public group chat and i don't have any control over my prices and i kinda feel they are high and i also know that your finances are tight!"

Not to sound like one of those war-on-Christmas, curse-this-heathen-society weirdos, but I'm sad that Divine chocolate don't have the story of the nativity inside their advent calendar any more. Where you get a bit of the story every day like this:
Tumblr media
I'm aware that:
I already know the Christmas story
I've read this exact version many times as a child
If I somehow forget I can just open the Bible and read it there
But I had one of these advent calendars from my grandparents every year growing up, so they're nostalgic, and I miss having a little bit of the story every day as part of the countdown to Christmas.
Anyway, I'm sure if any website can understand the appeal of reading a well-known story slowly in small pieces over many days, it's the website that popularised Dracula Daily.

man i just read an article about how architecture as a field seems to be on its way to become a "women's field" and i'm fuming no one can exactly say what is driving women to study architecture so much more than men. It used to be pretty much 50-50 for a long time and now it has tipped over to 70-30 im maybe guessing that it's not that more women are applying but less men are that would be a logical explanation and personally i think that it is mostly rooted in money there is a quote from decades ago from some man who was afraid that the salaries in the field would plummet because more women are entering architecture and lo and behold, architecture IS the lowest paying technical field job at the moment, in finland at least and fewer women are running companies or are even in leadership roles women are STILL facing sexism in the field, getting called "girls" and they are sometimes given a lower starting salary (happened in my first office job) and "tasks appropriate to women" also 100 years ago or so it was thought that architecture and chemistry were pretty much the only suitable more technical careers for women because "architecture is just drawing in a tidy office environment and chemistry is just cooking with bigger pots in a bigger kitchen" so im like it's a self fulfilling prophecy are architects really getting paid less because women a) still don't have the guts to ask for a raise and b) the value of an architects job is being reduced to "easy drawing in a tidy office that even *gasp* women can do" im just fgkjgdfhkdfjhdfkhkdfhkdhgkdfgf

Speaking of PDA I took my first test at the Disability Resources center instead of in the classroom and was like oh this is way worse actually like I kind of want to kms rn and leave everyone here to clean up the mess lmao.
I’ve just gotten so used to being in smaller size upper level classes and treated like a rational adult that when I went to the DRS center and they told me to put all my stuff in a cubby, said I had to turn off my phone in front of them, leave it with my stuff, you can only take these couple things into the testing room, you have to ask permission if you need to use the bathroom, stick to your timer, here’s your little cubicle, and looked at me like I was stupid when I didn’t immediately understand everything they were asking me to do or where I was supposed to go I was like. Oh. This is hell. I’m in hell.
I don’t remember even the AP tests I’ve taken feeling that demeaning. I was seething and spiraling throughout the whole test. Just going what am I fucking cattle?? Is that what I am?? You think you can jam me into a little cubicle like a farm animal?? Like I know p much everything about society is built in a way specifically designed to make living w PDA hellish but trying to use an accommodation and going “oh I would literally rather be dead rn” takes the cake

I need booktok/tube/whatever to realize that fiction has moved past the 90s and you can in fact demand more from a story than “the woman saves herself”

Link to the court document here
From the Guardian article:
Houston-based Inhance manufactures an estimated 200m containers annually with a process that creates, among other chemicals, PFOA, a toxic PFAS compound. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in December prohibited Inhance from using the manufacturing process.
But the conservative fifth circuit court of appeals court overturned the ban. The judges did not deny the containers’ health risks, but said the EPA could not regulate the buckets under the statute it used. The rule requires companies to alert the EPA if a new industrial process creates hazardous chemicals. Inhance has produced the containers for decades and argued that its process is not new, so it is not subject to the regulations. The EPA argued that it only became aware that Inhance’s process created PFOA in 2020, so it could be regulated as a new use, but the court disagreed.
Inhance said in a statement its “technologies … keep thousands of tons of harmful chemicals and fuels out of the environment, preserve product quality, and ensure compliance with many global regulations”. However, the company in 2021 admitted the creation of PFAS is “an unavoidable aspect” of its process [...]
