Having icons on the dashboard increases community. I don't take the time to read every username, but with a quick glance, I know who posted something. It means I can associate what they posted with them. Otherwise it's just Stuff. (It's also fun to see the icons. It's a unique personalization that makes people happy, and their prominence makes tumblr unique.) It doesn't take up space. Why take that away?

it's honestly alarming that they're making this shift to depersonalize and disintegrate community.

part of me feels like this is the progression they want:

can't tell who posts -> don't care who posts -> no connection to who is on your dash -> FYP/algorithm

and it's horrible that they seem to be taking such a beloved website and sending it in these directions. probably overreacting but it's sad and frustrating to watch it go

anyway. it's a good reminder to reblog the posts you love, because that's how the website can keep functioning like it does

Asterius found his liege sprawled across a lavishly cushioned chair. A bottle of Ambrosia stood just beneath one limp, bare hand, contents dwindled. Heaped on the floor beyond his feet, Theseus had cast his gloves, his belt, his crown. Dishonor? Asterius replaced the discarded garments to the gilded chest, their home. Pride? "You prevailed against Lord Hades' son." "I let him go." The voice of a broken man, cracked and haggard, circled in deep darkness. Shame? "My king?" Asterius knelt before him, wary of his blood splashed across his armor. A wail fought through the beating silence: "I killed you."

this ui change with the reblog icon on the user icon and the text going 'reblogged' feels really weird. you were already using the icon. it's the exact same one as the reblog button you can see when somone has reblogged something more clearly WHERE are the icons. remember when they changed icons to scroll with the post and everyone mostly hated it but we got used to that because it was better for longer posts? yeah we've gone back to what was before that

“Sae we really don’t have time right now –” you try to speak your mind but Sae’s lips crushed on yours, cutting you right there. If you don’t have time, then don’t speak and use it to kiss him. He’s been worked up for the past few days, coming to his parents’ place was your idea but he’s not not a big fan of it. He can’t act as he likes and that also implies that he can’t spend the quality time he wants with you ; making him want you, more than he’d like to admit.

The hands caging you against the sink of their bathroom a second ago were now on your waist, running up and down, cradling the skin under your clothes as he’s more eager to have you. He’s almost rough in his kiss, making it impossible for you to catch your breath and your hand laying on his chest now gripping on his shirt. You’re not sure if you’re trying to push him away to breathe or if you’re pulling him for more. What’s sure is that he’s intoxicating and you nearly can’t think straight.

Biting your lower lip a little too hard in the middle of a heated kiss, you whined at the pain only to feel him smile against it before kissing you one last time. Soon you could feel him getting down your throat, leaving a million kisses along the way, to stop at your collar.

“Sae stop,” you weakly warned but you could already feel his teeth around your skin. You yap in surprise before gripping his hair and trying to pull him away but he’s quick to pull your hand down and hold it closely, enjoying as he wants the tender skin of your shoulder. With his other hand, he stripped you just enough to bite down on your unmarked skin.

“God damn it,” you moaned, hiding yourself in his shoulder. You’re hot and you’re not certain if it will be visible or not. He knows what he’s doing and where he wants to take you, and you’re almost ready to cave in. Grabbing your face when he’s done biting his way up to your lips, he lay on yours once again, looking for more, taking your hand in his. He’s lost in the kiss.

Stopping from time to time to look at you, all messed up and chasing his lips. That boosts his ego for sure, having such a beauty chasing for more.

“You have no idea how much I want you right now,” he commented before kissing you again, and again.

“I have an idea, I think.” you hinted, pulling him by his shirt to kiss you again. Roaming his hands on you, he’s almost forgetting what he’s doing here and he started to get under your shirt.

“Sae !” Before that. He never pulled out this fast and stopped everything that was going on. “Dinner’s ready !” you giggled at his mother’s voice down stairs but mostly at his face.

“We’re coming !” you screamed back before taking his face with both of your hands.

“But she doesn’t know that.” You kissed his nose before pulling yourself together again while he sighs deeply behind you.

That’s exactly why he hates being here.
