lacking sexual and/or romantic attraction doesn't make you homophobic. obviously. it literally means nothing about you as a person--your character, your beliefs, your behaviour outside of sex/romance.

but i will say... solid... 60-80% of ace/aro rhetoric, like FOUNDATIONAL TO THE COMMUNITY type rhetoric is extremely homophobic. or is homophobia-adjacent.

and misogyny and sometimes.. every other type of bigotry you wouldn't even think to connect to sexual/romantic attraction comes in heavily too. like...

i am not saying the lgbt community is squeaky clean rhetoric wise. but... like foundational beliefs in the ace community are like... openly hostile to gay people. also survivors. women. disabled people. everyone else who is marginalized. it's fucking crazy.

and it makes it clear that the ace/aro community, as it exists now, is not for ending any real form of oppression. it's just a new way to exert power/individualism.

i'm not debating or clarifying this btw, so no one try, but like iykyk and if you don't know you're either the problem OR you ar eblissfully ignorant and keep it that way
