What is Happiness ??
Hello Everyone,
Its such a lovely day ...Today I decided to start my day a little differently than usual. I got up early in the morning, did my yoga Exercises, went for a Morning walk, walked on the green grass, gazed at the beauty of Mother Nature, thanked God for being so kind to me and off to my office.
So, today lets talk about what is this word Happiness? If I ask you, what is it that made you or makes you happy? Some would say, When I graduated I was happy, or when I had got my first job, or when I got married or when I got my child or when I became successful. What do you think is the one common factor between all these incidences that made you happy?
Well, that one factor that determined your happiness no matter what was the occasion is that you got what you had expected or you wanted. So, when you get what you want, you are happy, isnt it? Lets imagine, you did not get what you want or you got something else from what you had expected? Then, would you still be happy?  Your answer would be NO. That may be true for me too. As humans, we want to get what we think is the best for us. Often forgetting that there is someone or some force who has a better plan for us than us. HE knows what is the best for us. So, if that is the case why should we worry about what is happening in our lives?
We have a tendency to either dwell on a past experience or fear of the future. We have never lived in the Present Moment. The truth is This Moment, yes This Moment, yes This and only This Moment is the Reality of Life. There can be no other reality in life than This Moment. This moment in our life is the only unique, new and fresh moment, the next moment will be a new moment. If we Accept this moment of life as the only reality there would be nothing called  worry or fear. When our life is imbalanced, we are worried or afraid of something. So, to remain balanced, we need to accept what we get even if it wasn't the way we had expected. Only then will we be truly Happy.
So, the next time you think about any past experience or any fear of the  future, stop yourself, tell yourself that all that is not your reality, the only reality is This Moment. Immediately look around, see the trees, watch the sky, smile at someone and be grateful that you are alive and feel awesome.
