Request: Heart Break (Marcus Volturi x Reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were very young when taken in by Marcus, around three or four years old. It wasn’t easy for either of you, the two of you only becoming truly comfortable with one another by the time you were six. In that time, your bond had become almost unbreakable and you in particular had become very close to Marcus. For not even a second, did Marcus regret his decision of taking you in, even when things were at their worst. To be a parent was certainly a gift and the precious moments he had with you was his reward.Although everyone could tell you knew something wasn’t right with Marcus. Not that he was a vampire but instead that he seemed sad, all the time. In fact that seemed to be the major barrier between the two of you.
“Oh my…” Marcus could help but chuckle at the mess you hair was in. The front was well done, but the back was knotted worse than it likely was when you woke up. “What on Earth happened here?” Marcus walked into the bathroom. “I couldn’t get them out!” Your tiny voice replied. “Then it was taking too long!” Marcus chuckled, you were just like Didyme. She too was never patient enough to fix her hair. It drove Sulpicia to madness that Didyme just couldn’t sit still for that sort of thing. She preferred to be outside or even reading, doing anything other than that. Didyme always had been an adventurous girl, even as a child and specks of that nature seemed to resonate in you. “Patience is key, my dear.” Marcus smiled, remembering he’d had to say the same to Didyme many times before. “Now let’s see if we can fix this, hm?” Marcus picked up the comb. “Let me know if it pulls, understand?” You nodded. Marcus was careful to separate the knotted hair to give it selective attention. Slowly and lightly pulling the comb on the ends. As he made his way up, knots he remembered many times Didyme standing in front of him.
“Blast these things!” Didyme huffed. “No ones hair is supposed to sit like this!” Marcus chuckled. “Patience is key, my love.” Marcus hands were weaving into Didyme’s hair, removing every little pin that kept her hair in place. “I’m never letting Sulpicia touch my head again! Mark my words! She overdoes it every time!” “Nearly done…” Marcus reassured Didyme.
Marcus’ eyes lifted to yours in the reflection. “Nearly done…” He barely managed the words out as he realised how similar the scenes were. Instead of it being an impatient Didyme, it was his impatient child’s hair he was fixing. “There. Now to smooth it out and it’ll be done.” Marcus frowned slightly, his lips moving into a tight line, doing his best not to get upset in front of you. He noticed your eyes flicker up at him through the mirror. He exhaled, doing his best to hide his heartbroken expression from you. “There, all done.” Marcus briskly left the room without another word. “Thank you…” He heard you say quietly. He kept walking, a hand covering his mouth.
No one could forget the first time you asked about Didyme. It was when Caius took you to bed one night. “Uncle Caius?” “Yes, sweetie?” Caius said quietly as he made sure you were tucked in. “Do you know why Dad is so sad sometimes?” Caius paused, looking at you. He was uncertain of how to answer since you were so young but perhaps it was better you knew rather than being kept in the dark. Caius lay down beside you and you immediately leaned into him. “A very long time ago, your father was married. Sadly, his wife passed on and sometimes he is very sad because he misses her.” “Where did she go?” “We don’t know, sweetheart. Some of us would like to think she’s now in heaven.” “Like an angel?” “Yes, my dear, a beautiful angel watching over us all, even you.” Caius smiled slightly at you. “Will dad get a new wife?” Caius looked over at you, somewhat sadly. “No, sweetheart. No, I don’t think so.”
The leaders discovered you loved to draw and it was often a pass time as well as a distraction to keep you occupied whilst they worked. Aro smiled as you ran up to him paper in hand and seconds later Alec was behind you. “Hello, little ones.” Aro’d smile gleamed as he smoothed back some hair out of your face. “What’s this?” Aro bent down to your level. “Did you do this?” Aro looked down at the drawing of a butterfly. Of course it wasn’t accurate, it was a child’s drawing. Although that didn’t make it any less sweet to look at that. Especially your grinning smile behind as you presented it. “Alec helped me colour it!” You rocked on your heels. Alec moved to Aro’s side. “That’s divine, dear ones. It’s magnifico!” Aro nodded at Alec whilst giving the two of you praise. Aro knew Alec tried his best with other children. Jane wasn’t as open to the idea. For Alec to make an attempt with you, was very promising. He always seemed to watch over you. Not quite protective, but Alec always had his eye on you - just in case you were to wander off or be hurt.
“You’re very special, you know.” Athenodora smiled at you reaching out for you. You were ten and only had more questions about everyone’s behaviour. The twins were always angry, your father always sad. Caius was and Aro could be scary at times and the other guards...none of them were the same towards other people as they were to you. Now that you were older, you couldn’t help but notice. “I am?” You asked walking into her arms. "You see, you have a gift." Athenodora said as she lifted you into her lap, prepared to do it as much as she could whilst you were still young. Then again, you had another thing coming if you thought you wouldn’t be in her lap even as an adult.  "I do?" "Yes, and it's not a gift in terms of a shield like Reneta or illusions of pain like Jane or even the ability to read ones mind. You've had it even as a baby. I can tell you about it if you like." You nodded. "Well when you were brought here, only an infant at the time, we were going to care for you. Aro, Marcus, Caius, myself and Sulpicia. You gravitated towards Marcus very quickly and soon enough we took a step back and Marcus became more of the traditional father figure. We, in turn, took a more secondary guardian position. However, it wasn't long before I discovered one of your many greatest qualities. You were attached to him because you can sense the vulnerability in people and welcome it. You appreciate it and you're the type of person people can trust themselves with. If you catch on to any void within a person's soul, you will do everything you can to fix it. That's a beautiful trait, (Y/N)." "So I'm not gifted like the twins?" "No, dear, not like them. You are gifted in your own way that's just as important as the most powerful gift. You open your heart to people and overcome any pain that comes with it."
When you became a teenager, sometimes he still had these moments of pain but now you were more equipped for them, prepared even to help him.
You found Marcus kneeling on the floor of his room. “Dad?”  “Yes little one?”  “Are you okay?” He didn’t speak but slowly nodded. “Yes.” You barely heard it and knew immediately that he wasn’t okay. “Dad, look at me please?” Marcus turned, his black eyes meeting yours with a look of heart-break.
You immediately hurried forward crouching behind him and wrapping him in a hug. You rested your head on his shoulder. Marcus’ head lowered slightly before you felt him lift your hand and press a light kiss to the top of your hand.  “You’re very sweet.” He said quietly.  “I hate seeing you sad.” You mumbled.  “I found her necklace.” Marcus opened his palm revealing the necklace. “I thought it was gone, or that she’d lost it.”  “It’s really pretty.” You gazed down at it.  “One of many.” Marcus wore a ghost of a smile although it was drowned out by sadness. “This one had much more sentimental value to her.”  “Maybe she’d be glad that you have it and keeping it safe.” You lightly offered the comfort to him. Marcus didn’t respond. You never said her name. You didn’t know what to consider Didyme since you never knew her. You didn’t know if she was your mother and you didn’t know how much pain it would cause Marcus to hear her name, so you didn’t dare.
You didn't know what to expect when Marcus summoned you to his room. Since that night he had been keeping to himself, still healing from a wound that happened so many years ago. "Dad?" "Hello, my dear. Come in." You closed the door behind you and moved to sit beside him on his bed. "I have something for you." He said. "You do?" Marcus nodded with a small smile before standing up and moving to his drawers across the room. He held something in his hand but you couldn't see what it was. "I've thinking about you a lot lately." You went to speak but Marcus beat you to it. "For once I haven't been worrying about you." "Then, what's wrong?" "Wrong? Nothing is wrong, my dear. I've just been thinking about all these years, watching you grow up. You remind me of my beloved Didyme." You were startled that he said her name. "You always have, even as a child. I'll admit that I once feared that about you but I began to see the gift in it." Marcus opened his hand and you saw the golden pendant in his hand. "She adored this necklace. Every time she left the castle, she wore it, even if it was just to the gardens. She had many jewels but she never had as much love for them as she did for this one." "Why that one?" You asked. Marcus cracked a smile. "It was the first one I ever gave her." Your face softened, looking down at it. "Ever since she never parted with it." Marcus took a breath. "She'd hate that was hidden away in here and quite frankly so would I. We never had children of our own blood but I know she'd have wanted to pass it down. If she was here, I'd quite frankly never hear the end of it." Marcus held out his hand. "So I'm giving it to you, our child." "Wait, what? I couldn't- it means a lot to you." You said quickly. "Because it meant a lot to her, but i know what she'd have wanted and I'd like to see it worn again." Suddenly you remembered his words. "Did you say 'our child'?" Marcus smiled. "I know she never got to meet you but...I also know she'd love you more than anything in the world. If I'm your father then she is most certainly your mother." You felt a lump in your throat, overcome with emotion.  Marcus stood up, moving behind you to place the necklace on your neck and clasp it. Finally, he moved any hair in the way. "That's better." Marcus smiled slightly and no longer could you hold back your tears. You covered your face immediately. You didn't dare even say her name after all these years but to find out Marcus considered her your mother. It was a bittersweet feeling, that only made you wish you met her even more. Yet still you were elated to know you had a mother. "I know, dear one." You heard Marcus say as he sat beside you once more. He pulled you into his chest, kissing the top of your head. "I know." He did. He knew the feeling better than anyone. Marcus wished more than anything that you'd have gotten to meet Didyme. You two were so alike after all. You looked up at him against his chest and for a brief moment he saw you as a child again, your eyes boring into his own, mouth slightly agape with wonder. "Thank you..." Your childlike voice said. "For what, little one?" Marcus asked before blinking, shunning his imagination away. "For being my dad." You were older again, tears dripping down your cheeks. "You don't need to thank me." Marcus shook his head.

Request: Broadway (Volturi x Reader)
Tumblr media
"You did Broadway!?" Chelsea asked you with a grin. You smiled back, her excitement infectious. "Yeah, I did. Lots. I grew up in that sort of thing y'know?" "Which ones?" You thought for a moment. "I was the phantom in Phantom of the Opera, that was my first major role. Mrs Teapot in Beauty and the Beast. Lots really, it's bizarre. Some of the lines you forget now but the songs will be stuck with me until death at this rate." "Tell me more! I love Broadway!" Chelsea grinned and you grinned at your mates who watched on in amusement. "We'll do this, I'll sing a line or two, maybe give you a line or two of dialogue and you guess which one it is." "Yes! Although I will admit, we might not know the more modern ones." You cleared your throat. "Christine, I love you~" "Phantom of the Opera! It's my favorite, as well as Reneta's!" You nodded. "Oh mama welcome to the sixties!" Chelsea paused for a moment. Corin immediately burst in. "Chelsea! That's Hairspray!" It then dawned on Chelsea. "Yeah, that's a bit modern for me." "This one might be a bit more difficult..." You paused. "Can we be seventeen~?" The two girls paused. "I don't know that one." Chelsea immediately said and Corin agreed. You tried to think of another from a different show. "If you stand for nothing, Burr, what will you fall for?" "Hamilton." Marcus immediately said. You leaned into his line of sight "Nice!" Another popped into mind. "The sun will come out! Tomorrow!" "Annie." Caius groaned. "I hate that one." "Popular, i know about popular!" No one could figure that one out. "I dreamed a dream a time gone by..." "Les Miserables!" Aro declared with a smile. "I know I've done others like Fiddler on the Roof but it was so long ago I cant really remember them." You admitted. "I’m surprised you guys know so much about Broadway." "It's more familiar to us than other forms of entertainment." Caius said and you nodded. Your three mates were very interesting to say the least. They always had a story and to see them so engrossed in yours simply tugged at your heartstrings.

Imagine Caius getting jealous (Caius Volturi x Reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"God, Esme hit the jackpot. Do you know what if give to have a man like Carlisle?" You said through your teeth. Heidi smiled in amusement as well as Reneta, both at either side of you. Caius froze, immediately looking up at the wall facing him. "What?" "It's nothing honey." You called out to him. "Why would you say such a thing?" You sighed. "No, no, elaborate. Why is Carlisle so legendary?" Caius’ voice was practically dripping with venom. "I wasn't being serious Caius-" "Then humour me." He said flatly. "...He bought Esme an island for starters."  "I see, would you like an island, (Y/N)?" You were taken aback, unable to even comprehend such a thing. "That's not necessary and a stupid amount of money to spend on me." "Continue..." "I just think he's a very nice person and is very loving to Esme. She of all people deserves that after her past." "I see, and so tell me, am I not loving to you?" "Okay, now you're reaching and this is becoming a trap." You said flatly. "Caius, you know I'd prefer you any day. If I didn't, I wouldn't be here." "Then perhaps stop allowing your eyes to wander." You had become somewhat desensitized to Caius' words. How he spoke to you was terrible, as though he thought the worst of you, but you always instantly felt better remembering what time Caius was from. You even pretended he felt so insecure that he had to 'assert his dominance' so you said nothing and let the words slide.
That night was pretty relaxed, you were lost in thought so you jumped when Caius fingers brushed against your back before coming to your side. You offered him a smile, pulling him closer to you. "Caius...you weren't really worried that I wasn't committed to you, right?" "No... I'm just not too fond of Carlisle's life choices. The mentioning of him aggravates me." You squeezed him slightly in reassurance. "Only you." You promised him. "You don't need to buy me an island either." You sipped at your wine glass. Caius leaned down to your ear slightly. "I could buy you five by dawn." You choked, immediately coughing hectically. "(Y/N), my dear, are you alright?" Aro asked. "They're perfectly fine, brother." Caius patted your back with a smirk. "(Y/N) just realised that their mate is much more than they originally thought."

Genetically transmitted (Volturi x Reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were the hybrid biological child of Demetri Volturi. You became his pride and joy when it was discovered that you had his own ability with your own little twist. You weren't as powerful as your father. You had to know someone by name or face to track them. This meant you weren't the best at tracking strangers- that was your father's ability.
The Volturi used you for more modern investigation. A prime example would be now. It was bizarre for a anyone to keep a laptop and other devices in a barn but then again, it made sense. Who would look for such a thing in a barn? Rumor had it this nomad was being reckless with his feeding and the proof would be, no doubt, in his belongings. Alec and Felix were your look outs as you searched each device and through the vampires belongings. You all were aware of the suspicious man walking around. You being half human, he could still hurt you and you were terrified. Therefore, the quicker you got this done, the sooner you get to leave.
You weren't the best hacker, you knew the basics and had gotten very good with technology over the years. You weren't too proud of it. You had been raised better. Nevertheless, you would do it for the Volturi. The nomad was a woman, she'd been changed three years ago judging by the missing persons information. Hm. Newborn. Social media was a gold mine and it was very stupid of this nomad to be keeping tabs on her old life. Her history alone told you exactly what kind of person she was. This wasn't for sentiment. Looking through private messages, she was actually rather narcissistic. She loved the attention she was getting. She was using family members accounts to check on her own account. However, you hit a dead end on the terms of anything criminal within the vampire world. It was then that you knew you'd have to dig through her laptop files. This kind of person was significantly easier. They're often to engrossed with themselves that they don't consider the possibility of digging their own graves. You suddenly looked up, alarmed. "... He's coming back." You said chewing the inside of your cheek nervously and around a minute later he walked past the door giving you a little wave. After a moment, Felix told you he was gone and to continue but you hesitated and looked up at them. "I can't. I can't until I know we're safe." "Don't worry, you're completely safe." Alec said nodding at the laptop. "Go on, we won't let anything, including you, out of our sight." You continued. You went through emails and the secrecy of a few with a particular person was highly suspicious, but that wasn't enough to consider as proof. You checked the trash bin and photos, her documents and that was where the mistakes had been made. There were pictures that had been sent to the same email address of a man who was dead and with the added letter that she killed many of them and that the town was getting suspicious from previous attacks. The police weren't so sure they're animal anymore and she didn't know how to get rid of the body. You had found your proof and you jumped when the strange man once again was approaching. You looked up at Alec and Felix. Alec gestured for you to move back, out of sight. "Keep going." He said quietly as he 'unintentionally' pulled the door further in so that inside wasn't visible anymore. You heard the man ask some questions but you didn't catch what he actually asked. Felix seemed to humour him, giving him responses and Alec chiming in every so often. You found another email that was responding, revealing that this was not the first time this had happened. You basically had all you needed. You waited for the man to leave before peeking out from behind the door, to tell them you were done. The three of you briskly left.
"Was that man a vampire? The strange one that kept walking around." "Yes, he was acting a little suspicious if you ask me." Felix said. "He was walking around, just out of earshot like he was on patrol." You said. "another suspect, but don't worry. You did well, it's in our hands now." Alec put a hand on your shoulder.
"Welcome home." Demetri smiled at you immediately pulling you closer to him so that he could kiss the top of your head. "Dad." You mumbled, mostly to yourself as you encased him in a hug. You finally felt safe. "I did it, dad." You smiled up at him. "I did it." Demetri smiled down at you warmly, he loved that even now you still sought his approval even though he was capable of giving you nothing less than his approval. He still saw you as his baby. "(Y/N), let's go." Alec said making you pull away and hurry to catch up with him. Felix and Demetri, following behind. "Young (Y/N), I hope that lovely smile is telling me success." Aro grinned and planted a kiss to your cheek, his hands on your shoulders. Out the corner of your eye, you saw Alec lock fingers with Jane. "Delightful!" Aro praised. "We'll be sending for our nomadic troublemaker soon. Brothers, (Y/N) did very well." "Good. I expect nothing less." Caius was never one for praise but after many years of living under the same roof. You knew he meant well, deep down...very far down. Marcus on the other hand didn't even seem to be listening. "Go now, I'm sure you're glad to be home." You nodded, beaming at him before leaving. Demetri patted you on the shoulder as you left, nodding at you. Silently praising you. "Oh and (Y/N)..." You halted at the sound of Caius' voice. You tried to hide your nerves as you spun lightly to face him. "My wife has been asking for you. I'm sure she'd appreciate the visit." Your eyes lit up and nodded profusely turning to the other double doors.
You always needed Caius' permission to visit Athenodora much to her annoyance. She practically raised you when Demetri couldn't be around. In your younger years, you remembered being carried around by Jane or Alec to be watched over by Athenodora. Or even Heidi having you attached to her hip for hours at a time. You didn't like Heidi as much as Athenodora since you had to witness the flirtatious relationship between her and your father. As you grew older, you found out there was a particular way Demetri would thank her for watching you. You would shiver when you finally understood what Heidi meant when she told Demetri to come to her door when being a father was too stressful. You were relieved as you were pretty sure neither of the two knew that you knew the nature of their relationship.
You always forgot just how many stairs you would have to climb to visit the wives. It was a tower of winding staircases that seemed like they went for miles when you were smaller. You remembered Afton lightly teasing you for it as he'd lift you and with some superhuman speed, you had arrived in no time. When you finally reached the top, you were met with Afton grinning. "Welcome home, I'm glad to see you made it." You knew the last part was about the stairs and your eyes narrowed on him. "That's mean." "Not at all! As a matter of fact, I was going to call down some words of encouragement to you." He grinned as he opened the door for you. "You're mean!" You called back to him and after another narrow hallway, you were met with Chelsea and Corin, standing outside the door. They smiled at you and gestured for you to go in, keeping it a secret as to who was outside the door. You heard a light. "Is that...?" And you knocked. The door opened to Reneta who immediately stepped out of the way and there was Athenodora herself. Athenodora's face lit up when she saw you and you rushed to her giving her a hug. "I have been pestering my husband for five days now, looking for you, only to find out that he sent you away after the first two. I promised him I'd never let him forget it." "I missed you." You smiled as you felt her tight embrace. "and I missed you, sweetheart." She kissed the top of your head. She was always taller than you since she wore high heeled boots under her long dated dress that was at least the 1700s. "Athena, if you don't mind, I'd like to see them too." Sulpicia said from her seat, her back to you. Athenodora huffed, letting you go so that you could make your way to Sulpicia. You leaned down, draping one arm across her as she kissed your cheek with her cherry red lips and you pulled away. It was always brief with Sulpicia whilst Athenodora would never let you go. Then again...she had always wanted a child.
Unsurprisingly, she didn't let you go for the next two hours. She always had her hand on you as though you'd disappear. There was a brief knock before Caius entered with Demetri standing in the doorway. "Hello, my love." Athenodora smiled at Caius, reaching out for his hand with her free one. "My dear." Caius nodded to her, taking her hand to his chest. You smiled at Caius before a wider one grew at the sight of your father. "Pardon my interrupting, but I can't help but notice the time...it's late, (Y/N)." Demetri gave you the look, his father senses were spiking up but that didn't stop the smile on his face. You whined as Athenodora raked a hand through your hair. "I say so because I care, my dear. I didn't think I'd be suggesting a bedtime when you're this age either." "So...to be clear, are you telling me to go to bed?" Demetri smirked. "Not necessarily, you only need a few hours of sleep remember but it's late and I do think it's time to go." Immediately, Athenodora pulled you into her so that she could kiss your temple before releasing you. "Come back soon, (Y/N)! Don't let my husband stop you!" Caius immediately looked at his wife who gave him a stern look. "I will ensure the next visit is much sooner." You heard him say as you headed out the door to leave with Demetri.
Demetri pulled you into his side as you both headed back down from the tower, bidding goodnight to Afton as you did so. "Imagine that, I worry for my child for three days and I'm the last to get proper time with you." You squealed as Demetri tickled your side as he teased you. "You were the first to see me when I got home!" "I got to say 'hello' and that is it. I'm your father, you're supposed to agree with me." You giggled as you took his arm. "I'll be leaving soon with Felix. I decided to grab you whilst I still could." "Who's babysitting me this time?" You groaned. "You haven't been since you were very young!" Demetri responded. "Dad, I know you. I could be a hundred years old and you'll still ask someone to keep an eye on me." "You're my baby. It's my job to ensure your safety." "I haven't been a baby in a very long time." "(Y/N), you'll always be my baby. We've had this conversation so get over it." Demetri squeezed you before opening your door. "Afton will be checking on you every so often. I won't be gone long, it's a retrieval after all." You nodded before flopping onto your bed. "Graceful." Demetri commented. You pointed at him. "That's not nice."    There was a moment of silence. "Do you think Jane and Alec will mind my company?" "I'm sure they'd have told you by now if they did." Demetri understood where you were coming from, you didn't have many to speak to. "Darling, if anyone were to give you trouble, you know they'd have hell to pay." You decided to ignore the detail that Jane and Alec didn't count but...they were the closest to your age. "Anyways, now that I think of it, Jane will be coming with us. So really you'd be asking Alec." Demetri added. Alec was nice enough to you but you knew he'd be missing his twin. "I hope you're not worrying what Alec would think. No dating and romantic relations yet, (Y/N)." "Dad!" You whined. "It's not even like that!" "It better not be. Now hurry up, get changed." You huffed and got up heading to your drawers and then your bathroom. "Attitude!" Was Demetri's remark.

“The Volturi will never forget what has happened here…” -Vladimir
Things were different after the confrontation with the Volturi. The Volturi were quiet, making their previous actions look as though they were flaunting. All wished they could say things were better, that they lived happier. Instead the lived under an umbrella of the confrontation. The Volturi were silent and deadly, they no longer wear the sinister smiles in mocking. They wasted no time in eradicating any one under suspicion. So naturally there was fear when Carlisle adopted you and informed the Volturi of your change which was arriving soon.
A cool breeze swept your curtains, the moon light illuminating your room. You were home alone since your family were hunting. Being alone didn’t bother you in the slightest and you were sound asleep before midnight. However, you were no longer alone in the house. Around stared at you from the shadow on the opposite side of the room, his red eyes had a slight glow. He stepped into the light which hit his face, his face stoic. He slowly moved toward you, making his way to your bedside. You were in the middle of the bed your face turned towards him. He slowly pulled back the duvet and slid in beside you- but not too close. He slowly laid his head on the pillow.
He gently brushed your hair from your face. “They took something from me and I can’t have that. The world has turned cold.” He whispered. “I always win and I will bring hell upon them in due time…and you…you will be the greatest prize of all. I’ll take you from them, my own precious jewel.” He hovered over your ear. “I’m taking you home.”
Your eyes snapped open and you sat upright to be alone in your room. You raked a hand through your hair and exhaled. You didn’t know what woke you, but it startled you. You quickly shrugged it off and settled back down, looking at your illuminated window before your eyes fluttered shut.
They never thought they’d find themselves in the same formation they did back in the confrontation yet there the Cullen’s stood with the covens behind them for support. You were holding Carlisle’s wrist for everyone’s assurance but your own. Seeing so many black cloaks in the distance made your heart race…you felt sick. Carlisle looked at you taking your hand from his wrist and encasing it in his cold hand.
Aro, Marcus and Caius moved in front as Jane and Alec as well as Felix and Demetri lingered at their heels. “A little older than than a child to adopt wouldn’t you think?” Aro said his eyes running over you as his brothers did the same. “They’re in their late teens, but not over the age nevertheless.” Carlisle said politely. “Then let us meet them.” Caius looked over Aro’s shoulder to you. “Let them come forward.” Marcus continued. You looked at Carlisle who nodded. “just the human.” Aro said with a stoic expression.
You slowly moved forward, over took with nerves. The Volturi internally took much delight to the sight. Aro immediately took your hand, enclosing it in his cold ones. “And you are?” Caius moved to stand by Aro and Marcus followed. “My name is (Y/N).” “(Y/N)…” Aro said as Marcus put his hand on his shoulder. Aro smiled, making you shiver and he had yet to let go of your hand. The Cullen’s moved forward carefully, very conscious of every move the Volturi made. “Tell me, (Y/N), do you know about cause and consequence?” Aro said. You slowly nodded eyeing the faces who were staring from all around you. “It’s where something happens through the event of something else.” “Clever little one.” Aro said almost mockingly. “How about we learn a little more, just so you understand what’s happening.”
“O-okay…” Your answer pleased him as he turned you to face you family, your back to the Volturi. “Do you know there is a coven who didn’t appear today?” You shook your head slowly. “Well just as our previous meeting, before you were adopted, everyone is standing where they are now…all but two. The Romanian coven are not here.” He pulled you in to place his hands on your shoulders. “The Romanians were here for that child but are not here for you because their lives depend on it. Your family angered them with their decision not to fight us. Therefore they took my wife from me. She died. My mate died by the Romanians and so they are hiding. Your family have a responsibility in her death.
Cause and consequence.
My mate died because Bella and Edward are incapable of following our ways of life.“ You saw the Cullen’s glare at the Volturi before Aro turned you back to face him, taking your hand again. “Here’s another, this is important. Much like they took from me, I will be taking from them.” Aro opened your palm and placed it against his chest where his heart would have beat. “You’re my mate, my sweet and you belong with me. Therefore I am taking you with me. Cause…” He pounded your palm against his chest once before turning you to face your family. “and consequence…do you understand?” You shuddered. “A little bit…” You said weakly.
Many barred their teeth in response. “You would do this to them?” Carlisle began. “You would rip them from everything they know even if they were your mate? You’d forcibly take them from us?” “That is exactly what i would do…and what i will do.” No one had time to react as Aro hit you hard on the back of the head, knocking you unconscious. Your body hit the ground hard. A small dark-haired woman walked around Aro to check on the human, she looked up. Reneta nodded confirming you would be fine as a smaller copper haired woman made her way to your side placing a cod hand on your back. Eleazar recognised Chelsea in no time.
The Covens waited for Carlisle, waited for him to attack but he never did. Infact he held them back. “We have to think of everyone here. This is what they want…we…we have to let them go.” Esme’s eyes closed in dread. They looked at your peaceful expression. Reneta caught eyes with Eleazar and took the opportunity to lean down and place a hand over yours when no one was looking. It was a secret between Chelsea, Reneta and the covens. You would be looked after. It was a promise.
