Ik some people see a plot hole in all the Jedi accepting Vernestra’s coverup since Sol was at the Temple teaching younglings when Indara was killed, but honestly, I don’t get it. If anything I see it as a reflection of how respected and influential Vernestra is. Idk much about her as I haven’t read the comics, but they way the other Jedi treat her have me the impression that she’s one of the most respected Jedi short of the High Council. It seems to me that even if a Jedi was able to get solid proof of Sol’s innocence (which would probably be very difficult as Vernestra would have sealed away the evidence and official records and confronted anyone who tried to reopen the case) they would have to be both extremely courageous to openly challenge Vernestra and have incredible conviction to knowingly cast the Order in a bad light especially since their relationship with the Senate is becoming strained.

That being said, Vernestra still knows there’s a threat to the Jedi (her former Padawan) and there’s a major loose end (Mae) which she is going to need to take care of without drawing suspicion. Hence she gets Yoda involved since she knows she’s not powerful enough to do it alone, which makes it even more unlikely that someone would challenge her cover story. But it also presents a huge risk since if Yoda doubts her, he 100% could and would reopen the case and bring her reputation crashing down. I think that this would have been the plot of season 2: can Vernestra maintain the coverup while also taking care of Qimir, Osha and Mae with Yoda carefully watching her every move?

Thinking thoughts about Abuela being back and with this backstory about her being taken in by charlatans and Eddies whole catholic guilt thing and how the two things kind of play into one another as an exploration of faith and being taken in by something.

Abuela giving all her money to the tarot card readers etc because she was searching for something - for connection (with Abuelo) - trying to recapture what she had lost, and How Eddie has spoken about trying to re-find the magic he had with Shannon - how Eddie hasn't actually fully reconciled the Shannon of it all when it comes to relationships and how his Catholic guilt connects into that.

How Marisol as a physical representation of Catholicism is part of that narrative - how Eddie is entering a place where he has to chose his path - in order to move on from Shannon he needs to fully square the hole - catholic or non catholic. And how that needs to happen first - before he can begin his queer journey!

I'll try to be short:

Max cancelled their hit show, Our flag means death, before the final season. There is literally no good reason i could find why did they do that. This show wasn't just a big success (high ratings, record views, great fandom), without any promotion from Max and with a huge budget cut for s2, but it's a pretty important representation for queer people. It also has a great cast and crew and they deserve the chance to finish their story.

It's a beautiful silly pirate show, if you are open to queer media, I recommend it whole heartedly.

Just rewatched episode 5 of Onyx Equinox and it just gets to me how Yun was fatally wounded and still worried more about Izel's wellbeing (even though he's the one who broke his leg in the first place) and wanted him and K'in to stop fighting, and only cried and expressed his fear of dying after everyone else left. He was literally dying but he still tried to keep it together, probably because he didn't want K'in to panic more than he already was. He spent the whole episode putting everyone else's needs above his own even though he was dying and I'm having feelings about this

Heyya, remember this au? Decided to write an hurt/comfort one shot between Min and Kez. This au is mostly fluff so this is more of a what-if scenario still hope you like it

CW for panic attack and implied/referenced suicidal thoughts

[Min was curled up in the corner of the room, his breathing was heavy mixed with sobs. He didn’t know what to do, everything hurt, it hurt so much. He just wanted it to stop, he wanted it all to stop]

[Suddenly he heard meowing near the door so, he got up to open it and found out it was Kez, his eyes were still full of tears as he spoke]

Min: Kez? Oh, I’m sorry baby, did I wake you? It’s fine you can go back to sleep.

[Kez continued meowing]

Min: Hey hey, come on now. It’s okay just go back to sleep.

[Kez was still meowing and standing by the door, Min picks her up]

Min: Do you wanna be with Daddy? Is that it? Okay, only if it’ll make you stop meowing

[Min takes her over to the corner he was previously and he sits down with her in his lap. Min is still tearing up, he tries to wipe them but more just kept falling)

Min: (voice shaking) Please don’t worry about me baby, Daddy’s okay he’s just a little shaken up right now

[Kez looks at her dad with big black eyes as if she wanted him to tell him what was up, Min brings her closer to him]

Min: (breathing is still heavy, sniffles in between pauses) It’s just… I feel so… scared all the time and life has just… been so hard lately. Like I can’t… ever do anything and there’s no… point in eating or sleeping… or drinking. Existing just… feels like a damn chore.

[Min is sobbing harder as he says all this, Kez just cuddles further into Min’s lap. Min takes a deep breath as he strokes her]

Min: I’m so sorry you have to see me like this baby. I know I shouldn’t be dumping all this onto you but, I really feel like I’m losing myself and I can’t even talk to Ryan or my parents about this, I-I don’t even know if I wanna still be here anymore but… I don’t know… I just don’t know… I… just… d-don’t…

[Kez places her head on Min’s chest, softly purring. Min notices this and gently wraps her arms around her, his breathing is finally starting to slow down and his eyes start to feel heavy as Kez continues to cuddle against him. He mumbles one last thing before drifting off to sleep]

Min: Remind me to cuddle with you more

A fic idea that has been stuck in my head since i finished the book series is (obviously book spoilers(THB spoilers)) after Lucy leaves L&C she has awful nightmares about Lockwood and the Fetches prediction coming true, so she has to start taking sleep medication (with prescription) because she’s terrified to go to sleep. Which then leads her to be unable to sleep without the medication, so when she runs out of her prescribed medication she’s so dependent of the drugs that then she start’s to get the drug illegally from a dealer. So even when Lockwood comes to her to offer her a job she still addicted to the drug then the fics about her trying to recover and then the L&C agency trying to help her and lots of traumatic things going on in between.
