SUFP provided @muttmisfits (who took some of the dogs on) a $1,300.00 Angel Grant so they could buy some new kennels for these babies. Here’s sweet Fancy girl in one of the new kennels and Zepplin (swipe left) is just being precious. The rescue is looking for fosters for two more of the survivors who are currently in boarding, so if you are able to help, please contact @muttmisfits directly. When will people in and outside of the animal community stop ignoring this horrific epidemic happening in all communities by all people? This is Todd and Sally and they are dogfighting operation survivors. They are gentle, kind, brilliant and inherently good regardless of what was done to them or what they have been forced to do.

To deem any dog vicious because of where it comes from is fear based ignorance and sadly exists in many states. Every dog is an individual and should be treated as such. Like humans, many experience horrors at the hands of humans but they are not all defined by their experiences or past environment. Dogs are the exact same way. To vilify, ban, and murder dogs who have known nothing but life as a victim is shameful, hateful and intolerable.

He wants to sit right by you (or on top of you) and get his daily massages and tell you all the things that have happened in his kennel since he last saw you. It's truly his favorite part of the day. We like to think that when we tuck them in for the night, they stay up late playing on their Nindendo Switches and trading baseball cards. Thanks to all our amazing supporters in Brazil for making me aware that she has taken on some of the dogs rescued from the horrors of dogfighting in Brazil. (Please read previous post for details). Many of you are asking how you can help these dogs. Please direct all questions about the dogs to them directly as well as inquires about how to donate to them directly. Please understand that dogfighting is an epidemic that is not a priority to end and is happening daily in United States. We as a society must report dogfighters. It’s up to us to be the voice for these dogs. Law enforcement cannot do this alone. Dogfighters are cowards who hide and are deep underground, so the people who suspect or know something MUST say and do something. Where there is dogfighting, there is always other crime which makes this everyone’s problem. Some of the largest busts in history have come from anonymous tips. Lets do more of that. Lets not allow evil humans to get away with doing this. Dogfighting is truly one of the most horrific forms of animal abuse there is and it will not end unless we as a society do our part. I encourage rescues to open their hearts and minds to victims of dogfighting. So many groups won’t take these dogs on out of fear based ignorance. Law makers also need to change ignorant ordinances that deem victims of dogfighting “vicious.” This ordinance exists in Los Angeles County and further victimizes these dogs because they euthanize them. And people need to consider adopting these dogs instead of fearing them. The only thing anyone should be fearing are the HUMANS who do this to these dogs. Those humans are the purest of evil and are capable of doing the same to you and your loved ones. The dogs are not evil, they are the victims of evil.
