This thought reaches #deeep down into #mysoul and #ringstrue like a perfectly crafted bell. It occurred to me that when people believe that #someoneorsomething is meting out justice and fairness in some way by some (albeit #mysterious ) design, they are much less likely to worry about what is wrong in the world. If you believe that there is a god of some kind or some kind of force in the universe that is #inherentlygood and rewards goodness and punishes evil, whether in this life or the next, then the atrocities that we commit are much less horrifying. The #ills of the world are not so distressing if you “know” that #somethingsomewhere has made note of it and will, in its own time, exact #justice upon the perpetrators. But here’s the thing.. what if there isn’t anything punishing the wicked? What if there’s #justus and no one or no thing is out there keeping track? #whatif we only have ourselves to make this world better? How would that change you? Does anyone else hear the rumbling regurgitation bubbling up from the bowels of hell? No? Me neither. 
This virus did not come from hell but from our own dear mother, nature. We have not been very kind to our mother. She deserves a lot better after all she’s done for us. Maybe this is her revenge for burning down her rainforests and killing her coral reefs.

One of the fundamental philosophical disagreements between our divided cultures is on the question of whether or not people are inherently good. Some people believe that we lost our inherent goodness the minute Eve bit into the apple. Some people believe the world is too evil for us to escape its corruption. I believe we are going to see some of the best and worst of humanity over the coming weeks and the number of people who are going to surprise themselves with their compassion and strength is going to far outweigh the number who think of themselves first.

If one of the consequences of the virus is a realization of the inherent goodness of people, with subsequent re-ordering of society in a more loving direction, it might be worth the cost.

He wants to sit right by you (or on top of you) and get his daily massages and tell you all the things that have happened in his kennel since he last saw you. It's truly his favorite part of the day. We like to think that when we tuck them in for the night, they stay up late playing on their Nindendo Switches and trading baseball cards. This is honestly one of my favorite pictures. I have it framed on my wall at home. It was taken last year at the Stand Up For Pits event in Hollywood where I had the honor of meeting the founder @rebeccacorry , @mister_todd_ & Sally. @standupforpitsfoundation helps educate, advocate, & save the lives of #pitbull “type” dogs. They are on the front lines 24/7. #SUFP was inspired by Rebecca’s first pitbull & soulmate, Angel (pictured in the background). I never had the privilege of meeting her. I can however relate to having a connection with an animal so deep that it profoundly changes your life. It is my hope that everyone has such an experience in their lifetime. Animals like Angel are profound teachers & wisdom carriers. Can you imagine all the good we could do if everyone took the love they had for an animal & paid it forward? 🐾 Meeting Todd was just unreal. I credit him & @calistathepitbull for adding “crazy pitbull advocate” to my resume. I first learned of him when he came across my IG discovery feed dressed as the pope! I truly believe that the world would be a much happier place if more random photos of the alien that is Todd, showed up on people’s electronic devices. 🐾 Tickets for Stand Up For Pits 9th annual comedy event went on sale Saturday. I am encouraging everyone to purchase a ticket if you’re going to be in the LA area Nov. 3rd. Along w/ hosting a donation drive & adoption event prior to the show, & a night filled w/ hilarious sets by some of your favorite stand up comedians (@pattonoswalt , @fortunefeimster , & @joshwolfcomedy are all show alumni) there’s also a silent auction afterwards w/ some truly amazing stuff! Last year I had the opportunity to donate a 1 hr session & this year I’m super excited to be participating in the auction again!
