I get to see @taylorswift twice this weekend in Dublin with my best friend and I couldn’t be happier.

We’ve been to so many of Taylor’s shows together over the years and I love that my mum is just as stoked as I am to see her again.

My mum has always been a person, a place, of stability in my life. I have a non-physical disability (which I don’t usually disclose because the stigma is suffocating) that has a colossal impact on my mental health and adds to my general and social anxiety. It has always been difficult to make friends but I have always had my very best friend... my mum. 

So when reputation came around and the line ‘here’s to my mama, had to listen to all this drama’ played through the speakers I related to it on a personal level. Not so much for the friend-related drama aspect, but more for the difficulties of me navigating my life with my disability and anxiety. It’s almost like a rollercoaster with medium highs and extremely low lows. And the lows are really tough, on both myself and my mum who has been such a rock for me. 

She, like me, is a complete swiftie and has been almost all of my Taylor shows with me over the years. We are both going to be in Dublin for both shows (night one: lower303 row Y seats 13&14 and night two: upper718 row A seats 4&5, if anyone wants to come say hi!).

Going to concerts and shows is a really important part of my life as it gives me things to look forward to and stay positive about, and it also is a place that I can de-stress and forget about the things that weigh me down. After the reputation tour in Dublin, I’ll have been to seven of Taylor’s shows over the years. And I feel so incredibly lucky to have seen someone that many times who’s music and character has been a large part of my life.

We cannot wait to see you @taylorswift, your shows have always been such a boost for me and I cannot wait to dance and sing to every word. Your music is an escapism and watching an album be played out live is transformative. I’ve been avoiding tour ‘spoilers’ so the first night in Dublin will be a complete surprise and I cannot wait to see what you have planned, and to make lots of new memories to hold on to.

I have been a fan for 11 years and on tumblr for 4 or 5 years now but i’m not well known in the swiftie family.

Nobody really roots for me to meet Taylor except myself hahahaha there are so many amazing people going to the same show as me and they also deserve to be picked to meet her but I REALLY want to 😩

Tour prep has been underway for the past few weeks and has completely taken over the kitchen table. In the meantime, a friend’s dog has been staying with us. The cat is not particularly fond of dogs. She took refuge on top of the (unfinished!!) posters and left her own little design of paw prints all over it.

So, @taylorswift, whenever the posters finally reach Dublin, they truly will be one of a kind.
