The requester elaborates as follows: " The story is that in this panel (in translation from Japanese) the mangaka Takeuchi Naoko was intending to get across the idea of "Uranus is a butch lesbian" using limited queer terminology available to her in Japanese in the '90s. Readers saw this description, variously interpreted it to mean that Haruka is intersex, nonbinary, bigender, or genderfluid, and when Takeuchi became aware of these interpretations she kinda went "yeah, sure!" and the character has been presented in ways that support those interpretations ever since.

Haruka and Michiru (pictured with her above) being lovers has been specifically and explicitly confirmed as canon by Takeuich [sic]. Haruka consistently shown to not correct others when they refer to her in masculine terms, and her manner of dress varies from somewhat feminine to fully masculine, including wearing the boys' uniform for her school. "

has it only been 2 weeks since i left??? god.

i just wanna say that i’m leaving this tumblr, indefinitely. i won’t deactivate it but i’m not going to log back in after today, and i don’t see myself coming back.

i’ve been taking a break from tumblr for several reasons, and i just don’t think i can do this anymore. i have written some fics that i’m immensely proud of, and i’ve made some amazing friends here, but i’ve also been severely discouraged by a bad piece of writing and met some people i never want to talk to ever again. i’ve reached a point where coming on here just makes me want to cry and tear my hair out all the time. i’ve seen people completely freak out when i reply to them and i’ve seen people just straight out plagiarise my works, and i’m so fucking tired of dealing with it and pretending that everything is okay.

i started writing o’knutzy because i wanted to see more from them, and i figured if nobody was writing it, i could do it and get the ball rolling. writing was a respite for me while i was tied down by my internship and lockdown. it was nice seeing you guys enjoy my stuff. but then i started getting flooded by asks, and it’s completely on me for feeling like i had to churn out more and more content, but even when i closed requests, i had so many asks coming in. and it’s written RIGHT THERE on my bio, but someone still said “i don’t know if your requests are open or closed” and honestly i just can’t do this anymore. i could go on forever about how much i’m starting to hate it here (i’m not gonna lie, i really do) but i shan’t.

still, i have made some amazing friends here.

i guess there are always wins and losses in everything we do. i have lost a lot of sleep and time and sanity over the fics i’ve written (and still people think it’s okay to just rip off my ideas and turn them into their own fics *shrugs*) but honestly, i’d like to think that the friends i’ve made greatly outweigh all the shit that’s been going on the last couple of weeks here.

Kinda wanna write an AU where Cas is a radio DJ and Dean is a long haul trucker who listens to his station on the road, but I can't figure out how that would ever end with them actually communicating or meeting.
