Vito
Vito, once a semi-successful soccer player, found himself comfortable settling down after his retirement at the age of 26. He got married, had children, and indulged in the pleasures of life. This newfound lifestyle resulted in him gaining a significant amount of weight, but Vito didn’t really care, his strict diet days as an athlete were a thing kf the past now.
Tumblr media
After struggling to find purpose in post-retirement life, Vito managed to secure a job as an assistant coach at a big football club. Still basking in his past glory, he found himself attending numerous dinner parties and social gatherings, further contributing to his weight gain. Despite this, the club achieved success under his coaching. Vito's talent did not go unnoticed, and he eventually landed a position as the head coach of an English soccer club. Excitement and anticipation filled his heart as he embarked on this new journey, although it meant being far away from home. The first few months proved challenging as he resided in a hotel, relying heavily on room service and dining out every night. The restaurant owners and staff would celebrate his presence like a king, showering him with bottles of champagne and free food. Vito's weight continued to spiral out of control with each passing week. Amidst a tough season, where the club experienced both wins and losses, Vito resorted to snacking on packs of gummies during training sessions and indulging in big lunches with the club's CEO or players. They would even pass on their leftovers and desserts, further fueling his unhealthy habits.
Tumblr media
As the press and media took notice of his expanding waistline, Vito reveled in the attention. The club managed to secure a third-place finish that season, but Vito's weight gain became a topic of concern. “Can he be a good example to the team at this weight?” The media questioned. Taking a well-deserved vacation, Vito's frustrations led him to overeat during his month-long all-inclusive stay in Dubai. Constant lounging at the pool and dining at extravagant restaurants only added more weight to his already hefty physique.
Tumblr media
Upon returning to the club, Vito faced numerous remarks about his weight gain. Despite the criticisms, he remained focused on his work and became stricter with the players. No parties were allowed, and he would push them hard during training camps. However, unbeknownst to Vito, the players started using his weakness for food to their advantage. They would discreetly pass on their leftovers to keep him busy, providing them with some relief and relaxation. As the season progressed, Vito's weight continued to escalate. But he remained indifferent, solely focused on the success of his team. Parties became a regular occurrence, and hangover breakfasts started being a part of his daily routine. Snacking, lavish lunches, and dinners dominated his every waking moment.
Tumblr media
When the moment of truth arrived, Vito's team emerged as victors in his second year as head coach. The ecstatic celebrations and constant partying only added to his ever-increasing size. But in the face of victory, he couldn't care less about his physical appearance. Vito had become massive, but his unwavering dedication to his team defined him more than his physicality ever could. Despite the consequences on his body, he had achieved success, which meant the world to him. And as he continued his coaching journey, he learned that true fulfillment came from within, not from societal expectations of appearance.

First Class, Low Class, No Class: The Passenger Hall of Shame.
I’M OLD ENOUGH to remember when people dressed up to fly. I remember my dad putting on a tie before we left for the airport. And that was as recently as the early 1980s.
One of the reasons, though, that people once took flying so seriously, is that so few of them had the means to partake in it. Not all that long ago, only a fraction of the population could afford to fly on a regular basis. Flying today is far cheaper than it used to be. As a result, almost everybody does it.
And as the demographics have changed, so have the levels of behavior. This we’d expect. With nearly four million people flying every day of the week, across every strata of culture and class the world over, standards of decorum are going to fall. That’s fine, and I don’t want to sound snobbish about it. Maintaining simple dignity doesn’t require anything too formal. I have no problem, for example, with people wearing shorts and sandals onto a plane.
But there comes a point, and what I do have a problem with, is the idea that otherwise reasonable protocols of civility, manners and courtesy cease to apply when you’re at an airport or on an airplane.
I’ve never been privy to a full-blown “air rage” incident, but I’ve witnessed countless instances of shameful behavior: passengers cursing at airline staff; stealing from the liquor carts; leaving soiled diapers in seat pockets; etc., etc. Why, for example, do so many airline passengers find it acceptable to throw their garbage and food all over the cabin floor, then mash it into the carpeting with their feet? You don’t do this in a restaurant. Why is it okay on an airplane? It tends to be small-scale stuff — rudeness and a lack of elementary courtesy — rather than anything violent or overtly hostile, but that doesn’t excuse it.
Here is just some of what I’ve witnessed over the past several months…
I am at the airport in Dubai one early morning, waiting to catch an Emirates flight to Boston. I’m sitting in the boarding lounge when I hear a strange noise coming from behind me. Snip, snip snip, click, click, click. What is that?
I turn around, and what do I see? The guy directly behind me — a young guy in his twenties — is sitting cross-legged in his chair. Both of this feet are naked, and he is clipping his toenails. With every snip and click he splits away another crescent of toenail, which he drops into a growing pile next to his left knee.
Would you take off your socks and start clipping your toenails in a movie theater? In the waiting room at your dentist? Most people would feel uneasy doing it in the woods, never mind at an airport boarding lounge in front of three-hundred people. And while I don’t want to watch, I feel that I have to. Because I need to know what he’s going to do with that big, disgusting pile of trimmings once our flight begins to board. Is he going to collect them up and carry them to the trash? Or will he brush them onto the floor?
What do you think he does?
On another occasion I am at Kennedy Airport, in terminal four, down near the Virgin America gates. A woman and her young daughter are sitting on a bench-seat right along the edge of the corridor. The daughter is four, maybe five years old, and she’s holding a tall plastic cup brimming with round, colored candies. They’re marble-shaped candies, possibly peanut M&Ms. All at once, with no warning, the girl takes the cup and flings the entire thing onto the floor. It’s an impressive spectacle, I have to say, as hundreds of tiny orbs go clattering across the carpet, coming to rest in a great fan-shaped display of color. People turn and stare. And what does the woman do?
She stands up, takes the girl by the hand, and the two of them walk silently away, leaving the entire mess — even the plastic cup — sitting there for some unfortunate janitorial worker to sweep up.
Meanwhile, people are kicked off planes all the time for acting, and even dressing, obnoxiously. In Boston recently, jetBlue denied boarding to a young woman because they felt her shorts were too revealing. Apparently, though, a t-shirt emblazoned with the words FUCK LOVE in giant block letters is within the boundaries of decency?
I’m not a prude. Nonetheless I’m dying to understand when and how this sort of thing become acceptable. And I’m imagining this same attire in a different context. In the bleachers at a baseball game, for instance. Would that be okay? Would the guy be asked to leave? Wouldn’t he be harassed by parents who’d brought their kids along? There are plenty of little kids at airports, so why is it different here? And which is more troubling, the fact that he’s being accommodated, or the fact that somebody rude enough to put on a shirt like that exists in the first place?
I’m reminded of a shirt that was all the rage a few years ago in Asia. It was a sleeveless tee bearing the grainy image of the model Hedi Klum. She was topless, biting her lip and sticking her middle finger at the viewer. After six days in Thailand I must have seen five hundred tourists — all of them women, whatever that means — wearing these distasteful and hostile things.
Next we have Ms. Stinkytoes, luxuriating in her Emirates first class suite. She shows us that boorishness these days isn’t merely for the louts in steerage. Are these the same people who buy elephant ivory and rhinoceros horns? And the privacy of her suite is no excuse (couldn’t she at least have closed the doors?). Maybe I’m overreacting to this one, but how is this any more appropriate that resting one’s bare and splayed toes on a restaurant table? This is still, for all intents and purposes, a public place, and somebody else is going to be occupying that cubicle a few hours from now. And for crying out loud, they give you socks and slippers!
What is it? Is it the stress? Is it the contempt people harbor for the airlines? Whatever the causes, flying has a way of bringing out the worst in people.

Unforgettable Steak in Dubai (11 Woodfire One Michelin Star)
This was one unforgettable trip. Started off a little bumpy as I was worried that my friend  @MelVinegar  couldn't get on plane but we manage to create miracles, thanks Yully! Thanks Qimen too! His Royal Hai-Ness, Our Crown Prince of Rawang finally managed to arrive in Dubai.
Our  @SheratonHotels  Hotel is connected to Mall Of Emirates, so it's really really convenient for both travel and shopping!! The hotel lounge is beautiful and usually filled with good food so we will never get hungry.
Did some shopping and had lunch at Cheesecake Factory. Then we took a little afternoon nap.
Dinner was divine. We had dinner at 11 Woodfire. It's a One Michelin Star Restaurant. Every dish was delicious and their steaks are especially unforgettable. It's the way that the steaks are prepared. So juicy, flavorful, succulent, and totally a new experience to me. Especially the flavor. My first Michelin Star anyway. I was actually really full when the steaks arrived because we had a train of appetizers before the main course, steaks! Thank you Team Top G.
After dinner, we walked to a nearby mall to chill a bit before heading back to hotel. There was some celebration in the mall because it was UAE National Day. What an experience!
PS : Since Dubai I've been always craving for steaks....

Here are 5 things you must do to get a taste of Dubai’s nightlife:
Tumblr media
Driving down Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, a long eight-lane road that was lit up and busy with traffic even at two in the morning. The designer facades of the tall buildings on either side of the street reflected light. In no other place did I feel as safe returning home at 4 a.m. as I did when a student in Dubai, where I frequently spent the evenings discovering the city's clubs and hangout spots. The nature of Dubai's nights is so distinct from that of Dubai's days that it seems like a completely separate city. One has to get an emirates visa for Nigerian citizens before they can enjoy Dubai’s nightlife.
1.  Go Club-Hopping
Tumblr media
Dubai's club scene is extremely amazing and draws tourists from all over the world. Every type of nightclub can be found across the city, from opulent to edgy, so on Friday nights, you have a tonne of options! Large screens for game nights are available at Barasti (Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort), Chi@The Lodge (Al Nasr Leisureland) has a chic atmosphere and fantastic music, Kasbar (Al Sufouh Road) is a hip spot with authentic Arabic décor, and Nasimi Beach (Atlantis) offers a breathtaking view of Atlantis as a backdrop.
2. Order Late-night Shawarma
Tumblr media
Without a Shawarma run at midnight, no trip to Dubai is truly complete. Lebanese eateries that serve this delectable pork wrap in the early hours of the morning are the spots that are bustling with the most bustle after midnight. Near the sidewalk, where the waiters collect orders from cars, many people will halt their vehicles. Aroos Damascus and Al Shami Restaurant (Al Muraqqabat Road, Deira), Al Mallah (Satwa), and Reem al Bawadi (Jumeirah Road), among others, are the greatest locations for late-night Shawarma.
3.   Drive Through the City by Night
Given the excellent roads, street lighting, and well-organized traffic, driving in Dubai is a delight. Driving at night is a fantastic treat since there is less traffic, better music playing on the radio, lovely roads to go on, and a glittering city to admire. Al Mamzar, where a creek separates Dubai from Sharjah and a lovely Corniche (promenade) draws people for leisurely after-dinner strolls, is my favorite location for a long drive. You can find Filli Café directly across from this bustling location, where you can finish off your late-night trip with a cup of traditional masala chai. highly advisable
4.   Walk along the Marina
Tumblr media
Dubai Marina is a waterfront surrounded by speedboats, luxury yachts, and boats in the more modern area of the city. Families, couples, and friends enjoy the lights from the high towers as they are exquisitely mirrored on the crystal-clear seas as they stroll along the walkway, where European-style cafes are bustling with activity all night. This is a really beautiful way to experience Dubai's nightlife.
5.   Take a Puff of Sheesha at a Lounge
Tumblr media
What would a trip to Dubai be without a sheesha cigarette? Many people still like evenings at quieter sheesha lounges, which typically have multiple screens showing live football or cricket matches, despite Dubai's reputation for having exciting nightclubs and a fantastic food and beverage scene. In addition, they frequently include lounge chairs, pool tables, board games, and video games for a laid-back evening with friends. And of course, sheesha—or hookah, as it is more widely known—in a huge variety of tastes and sizes! This is a typical Dubai night out and is a lot of fun, especially with friends!
Good to Know
In Dubai, the weekend is Friday and Saturday—not Sunday!
Tuesdays or Wednesdays are often designated as Lady's Nights in clubs and pubs. To get the best deal, schedule your girls' nights out on these days.
The Dubai government is very tough about drinking and driving, and on the weekends there are many checkpoints to catch drunk drivers and severely punish them. Since taxis are often available close to popular nightlife areas, returning home is both safe and simple.
In Dubai, the drinking age is 21, in Abu Dhabi, it is 18, and it is forbidden in Sharjah.
Drinking is not permitted in undesignated or unlicensed areas and those who do so face harsh penalties.
Apply emirates visa for Nigeria nationals to enjoy all the tourist places and attractions in Dubai.
In Dubai, there is something to do every single hour of the day or night. What are you still holding out for? Let your hair down and take full advantage of Dubai's vibrant nightlife and for this, you have to take an emirates visa for Nigeria passport holders.

However, it is quite problematic to determine the difference between 4-star hotels and 5-star hotels because of the variety of star rating systems in the tourism and hospitality industry.
Although most of these systems have similar ratings, there may be some differences as well. The main and most obvious difference between these two hotels is their comfort level, and 5-star hotels ultimately offer luxury and state-of-the-art accommodations. Large hotels of this type will have a wide variety of on-site restaurants, spas, and other amenities. Similarly, these hotels typically provide more personalised service and staff members who provide the necessary services to guests 24 hours a day.
