When I started this build in late 2022, I ofc had no idea there would be a pack specifically dedicated to apartments coming out a year later. At most I planned for people to use mods, but I had also never used any such mods myself. All this to say, I'm honestly not sure how well this build plays as a rental! It is almost completely un-playtested and still largely unfurnished, and is only being released from the vault early in honor of finally getting rental residentials to exist.

But since the exterior facades and interior floorplans are done, its still an excellent shell for you to fill out! Only the first unit is (partially) furnished as an example for which rooms are which. In terms of build and furnishing, this is the wealthy decades player's dream, a Gilded Age townhome worthy of Upstairs, Downstairs.

Front and Back entrance for each unit

Large kitchens with separate scullery and pantry

Servant's dining hall, Housekeeper's quarters, and staff dormitory

Parlor, Library, and Dining room enfilade

Butler's pantry

Master bedrooms have private sitting room, ensuite bathroom

Children's room on third floor has private playroom, ensuite bath

Content:

New herb system! In expanded mode, your medicine cats will gather herbs and treat illnesses and injuries, reducing lethality, duration, and potential risks. Information about your current herb stores, sick/injured cats, and a log of medicine cat activity can be found in the new medicine den, accessible via the medicine cat den label on the clan screen or the matching button on medicine cat's and injured/sick cat's profiles

Mediator role has been added! The mediator is an optional role. Once a moon, you can choose to "mediate" between two clanmates, increasing relationship values. Or, if you would rather sow discord, you can sabotage the relationship, lowering relationship values. Mediators also have a chance to visit other clans upon timeskip, affecting reputation values. Mediators can take apprentices, apprentices will only choose to become mediators if there is already a fully-trained mediator in the clan. In settings, you may allow warriors and elders to choose to become mediators upon timeskip.

New pelt patterns: Mackerel, Classic, Sokoke, Agouti, and SingleStripe

New White patches: Seal, mink, and sepia point.

New colors: Black has been renamed to ghost, and new black has been added.

Heterochromia is now possible with all eye colors.

New eye colors: Gray, Copper, Sage, Pale Yellow, Pale Blue, New Blue, Gold, Heather Blue, Cyan, Emerald, Sunlit Ice, and Green Yellow. Dark Blue and Hazel have been tweaked.

Tints! Cats can now be slightly tinted, to give some variety to cat colors. Tints do not affect white patches, scars, or eye color.

Redone shaders.

You can now view lost or exiled dead cats under the "Unknown Residence" sub-tab.

Many, many new herb patrols, unique to each biome. New patrols involving a fox, new training patrols, and new cat-joining patrols. And we mean… many. Like over 1000 in total.

Some new ceremony text.

You can now retire warriors, medicine cats, mediators, deputies, and leaders. You can also demote a leader to warrior status.

Many new thoughts!

New pelt color, pattern, pelt length and white patches inheritance system. Note that this is not a completely realistic genetics system, it’s just meant to give kits more of a chance to look similar to their parents!

Quality of Life:

You can now sort your cats by rank, age, or ID!

New role management screen, with summaries and icons for each role (some icons are still placeholders)

You can now disable first-cousin romance in settings.

Timeskip events now link to the involved cats.

Patrols now have a short summary of outcomes at completion.

Fullscreen mode added

Made sure splines are properly reticulated

Your currently loaded clan no longer shows up on the switch clan list.

Patrolled cats are now saved.

Many bug fixes!

i like how quickly game modding sounds like complete technobabble. i need to go in and de-geneticize my 3rd PTs skin and redo the process of converting the GUID and putting it into the multi PT file so i can have sims babies i like. and reticulate the splines while ur at it.

1. What do you have under your bed? Mostly boxes of clothes. And some dust.

2. Favorite candy? (be very specific if possible)  I don't know if I have a favourite I don't eat it much really, biscuits are more my weakness 👍 My local supermarket was selling off these giant bars of milka chocolate a while back though... I did get through 1 or 2 of those... 😳

3. Describe your favorite shirt:  I like a comfy flannel shirt I'm wearing a blue and yellow one.

4. The last thing you drew/doodled was:  I used to draw a lot as a kid up until I was a teenager but I haven't drawn anything since. I liked drawing animals, had a lot of trouble working to the scale of the paper though so they'd always end up tiny in a corner.

5. Are you completely sober rn?  Yes.

6. What’s the one thing that annoys you more than anything?  I get unreasonably annoyed by the sound of people eating, think it's especially an autistic thing.

7. Have you ever gotten your tongue stuck to a cold pole during winter?  Nope.

8. If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would it be?  Around about three miles from where I am.

9. What was the single last word you spoke?  'Bye' I think.
