venus retrograde at 10 aries

venus retrogrades happen with some frequency and can, like mercury retrogrades or mars retrogrades, be seen by some as not a huge deal and by others as the hugest of deals. i will posit that this venus retrograde is a bigger deal than many. mars just ended his retrograde and venus begins hers in the sign of his rulership. mercury will be joining her in very nearly the same regions of the sky ensconced within her longer retrograde period. she is in the sign of her detriment. rather than viewing this as a weakness, personally i see it as a push for justice, and self love and due to the later ingress back to pisces, also the love of all things as one. with that said venus is exalted in pisces, so that part of the retrograde has her rather strong, although retrograde. all that said, there's no getting around the fact that venus in aries is not exactly comfortable. it's not supposed to be.

i will say, though, i always personally have really fun things happen in venus retrogrades... i almost look forward them.

venus retrogrades have 8-year cycles. in march 2017, venus was in approximately the same region of sky (early aries and late pisces) doing a very similar retrograde.

we therefore spiral around now to see, cyclically as we so often do, what we have seen before (in 2017 especially) from some new, hopefully improved perspective.

you're not repeating a pattern. you're seeing it in a new way and making new choices based on new knowledge and experience.

when a planet is in retrograde (rx), it appears to be moving/rotating backwards from our point of view on earth. it's important to note the planet is not actually moving backwards - it just looks that way because of its position in relation to earth and the sun. with that in mind, the sun and moon cannot be in retrograde.

when a planet is in retrograde, often it makes it harder to deal with its energy. it could cause a lot of internal conflicts that also impact connections with people throughout one's life.

having a planet in retrograde in your natal chart is not a bad thing or a bad placement - it just means one has to work a little harder to understand and harness the energy of the planet compared to ones that are direct.

technically, this post was made to read for natal retrogrades, but it can also be useful if you want to know general challeneges that can occur during transit retrogrades also!

𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐂𝐔𝐑𝐘

this retrograde is what's most known when people talk about retrogrades. with this planet in retrograde natally, you could find it hard to communicate with others. this could be in that you have a stutter, or you could be too harsh or too passive when addressing others (depending on the sign). you could be too impulsive in your actions, or you could overthink and inhibit yourself from taking charge in your life. i could also see people with this planet in retrograde finding it hard to write and learn new languages.

𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐔𝐒

you could find it hard to fall in love and/or to find, be in, and maintain relationships of any kind - but especially romantic ones; it could take a long time for you to start dating compared to others. this planet in retrograde can also make it hard for people to develop and sustain self-love and self-attraction. you may not see yourself as handsome or beautiful and/or others may look down on you or ignore you because of your looks. this is another planet that could make it hard to get along with people because venus is also associated with harmony overall, but the issues with beauty and love are more prominent.

𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐒

you could find it hard to bring your drive and passion to the surface. you could find it hard to be self-motivated and may prefer to take things slow throughout life and see how things pan out versus taking control. if you know the musical hamilton, you could be similar to aaron burr in waiting for things to happen to or for you versus making things happen. i could see natal mars retrograde manifesting as someone being asexual and/or having a low libido. you could have issues with bottling up anger, creating anger issues; if underdeveloped, i could see this leading to self-harm or other violent tendencies - this is not absolute

𝐉𝐔𝐏𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐑

it could be hard for you to recognize your luck and/or you may feel as if you have no luck even if you actually do. this is a "the glass is half empty" type of placement. you might have taboo beliefs, and people may make you feel as if you’re weird or wrong for them. although people may make you feel that way, your belief system may still be strong depending on your jupiter sign. there's a possibility of not being fit for tradtional higher education. you may feel like you have to create your own luck and could have trouble trusting the universe and your guides to provide for you.

you could be too harsh on yourself when it comes to having structure. you may burden yourself with responsibilities no one else is giving or expecting of you. you may put more boundaries and limitations on yourself than is naturally expected of you. i could see this placement manifesting as asceticism in some people. you might feel like people never live up to your expectations, or they always let you down, so you only trust yourself to get things done. with this placement, there's an emphasis on self-motivation and high ambition.

ADVICE FOR MERCURY RETROGRADE 📢📢

Hey folks!!

I hope everyone is okay, hope being the keyword. I felt like everyone around me is in a crisis and decided to do a mercury retrograde reading, because we need to make it make sense!!

I still have a lot of asks left to do, but this felt important so here I am!!

For all three piles, the moon cards are Full Moon cards, which basically means energy is peaking. And at times, when energy peaks, your mind and body does not understand how to cope with it and hence, it comes out as frustration and anger. So just know, its not you, its just the energies and it's gonna be okay very very soon!!!

Pile 1

Your Dreams Need a Practical Plan (Full Moon In Taurus)

Your tarot cards are so much in sync with the oracle card, I honestly love when it happens.

Anywho, you have a goal in your mind, but you don't have a proper plan of achieving it.

You know, you fantasize about your goal, that you've achieved it, how amazing it feels and everything. Which is great and it literally feeds energy into your manifestations as well!

However, you got to atleast make a very starting, list of baby steps you will take in order to achieve those goals.

Currently, through the tarot cards, its clear that if you pursue your goals you'll end up as the King of pentacles, at the highest level of abundance. But, with the reversed 10 of pentacles, you aren't working with a well defined plan. The retrograde might be trying to pull your focus towards this, and with the full moon energy of the card, you would feel frustrated with as well. but take a breath, you know what you have to do. Start moving towards it and hopefully mercury will start being a little gentle with you!🫂

Cards are telling you to look at the bigger picture, you've got the world in your hands with the two of wands. Appreciate all that you have and look forward to the future with a lot of love. Also, be mindful of where you are putting your energy and from where you are receiving it as well. If there's anything which is not serving you, learn to let go of that and be intentional with it. The full moon is in Scorpio, which is a water sign, so you can try washing away the negative energies through water baths/shower, or whatever works for you.

The retrograde might also be pushing you to see how good and amazing you are. Its telling you to celebrate yourself more and love yourself more. You may have difficulty seeing that during this time, or whatever is happening in your life is exactly opposite to what the cards are saying, but that is just for you to realise how wrong all of it is, and reinforce your faith in your own self, and being confident with what you are and what you are becoming.

I'll give a little example of what happened with me recently, in my university. Basically my morale and motivation took a hit because of some seniors saying that my whole batch of '26 is not performing upto the mark. Which, personally, I know I am lacking over all, but whatever I am doing is my best. After stewing in that feeling for a day, I went to my club/committee seniors and they told me how well I was working and… everything was bright again.

So.. yeah, it sucks, but this is your sign to fuck the negativities out of your life, and focus on the better things, and make yourself a priority!!!💌

Show the world the Real you (Full moon in Aquarius)

I think you have been conforming, or living according certain rules in your life, which you dont necessarily enjoy or resonate with. It might be easier to just follow the traditions and the rules, rather than being yourself and acting against it, while having to defend yourself for embodying your true self.

Fortunately, or unfortunately, this retrograde will be hella pushing you towards breaking out of these norms, and finally emerging into the world as the real you. You might be feeling fueled up with a lot of inspiration and a lot of energy, because retrograde and the full moon energy of this card.

These might be huge transformations, changing your appearance, your hair colour, getting a new piercing. Or even mental changes, you might create new boundaries, or let go of old ones, revise new ones etc etc. You might even start questioning out loud about the norms and the regulations you used to follow. This would give you a good reality check of your likes and dislikes, and then you can start your transformational journey from there!!💓

Venus cycle: conjunctions with the Sun, its retrogrades and how it all works

Because Venus just stationed retrograde so here's all you need to know 💖

One of the best aspects one can have in a natal chart is probably Venus conjunct the Sun. There is one catch though - the orb of that conjunction has to be smaller than 1 degree (or, even better, 0°17' - this is the orb I personally give), otherwise Venus is said to be combust. Now, combust planets aren't necessarily all bad, but being so close to Sun makes them operate in a shadow or, how I like to call it, on a backstage. Venus being overshadowed by the big hot luminary will still be full of charm, allure and talent but it may feel like it's not being recognized. Alternatively, those talents can be used on a literal backstage, for example, when working with or for other people who present themselves on stage - literally or figuratively.

But what if Venus is extremely close to Sun, within that small orb? Well we call it cazimi - which means in the heart of the Sun. It gives Venus bonification but also carries the energy of a reset of some sorts because it marks the beginning of a Venus cycle - people born on a conjunction have the ability to start projects, constantly reinvent themelves. They're often also trailblazers.

How often does a Venus cazimi occur? About once a year BUT - and that's an important part - they're conjunct in the same sign every 4 years, alternately when Venus is direct (exterior/superior conjunction) and retrograde (inferior conjunction). So, this year cazimi will happen when retrograde in Aries, 4 years ago happened when direct and 8 years ago when retrograde again. So 8 years is Venus' synodic cycle - this is how it takes for her to be in the same position in regards to Sun. Her cycle is nearly perfect and you've probably heard that if we were to connect the points of cazimi on a chart with lines, it would create a star (it's also often called the rose of Venus). And because of that perfect nature of the cycle, conjunctions in the same sign happen almost at the same degree each time, just being roughly two days shy of and exact cycle. And because of that, it slowly moves backwards. So, for example, the Sun-Venus exterior conjunction in Aries happened on March 31st 2005 (10°31’), then March 28th 2013 (8°10’) and March 26th 2021 (5°50’)… and so on.

RETROGRADE: GOOD OR BAD?

It is stereotypically said that Venus retrograde is not a favorable time. I'd say yes and no. During the retograde, Venus goes into the underworld, goes through a rebirth and comes back as a feisty warrior-like morning star (just like in the myth of Inanna, who was the sumerian og incarnation of a goddess of love). This means Venus changes her point of view and becomes indeed more feisty, demanding and sometimes scandalous. A few Venus retrograde examples? Amy Winehouse, who had a very specific, recognizable image and a distinct musical talent that couldn't be replicated - you hear Amy, you instantly know it's her. She had a darker vibe, very in the style of Venus retrograde. She also battled mental health issues and addiction. Mariah Carey is a more optimistic example (again, talent like no other) although for years media coined her as a diva (in a pejorative way) and as a child she suffered discrimination from peers (that's the element of retrograde-y banishment). Actresses like Charlize Theron or Jodie Foster carried their retrograde-y character through movie roles they were choosing (Atomic blonde, Mad Max, Monster, The silence of the lambs or The Accused all have the essence of an underground Venus). Jack Nicholson is another one who embodies that theme in a lot of the movie roles he picks (One flew over the cuckoo's nest, The shining, The witches of eastwick), he also has a very distinct charm to him, despite not being conventionally attractive. Interestingly, since Venus rules women in one's chart, he grew up thinking his mother was his sister and his grandmother - his mother. Very retrograde-y.

So, Venus retrograde doesn't have to be bad. And we'll talk about it in a second when we look at Dua Lipa.

VENUS AS A CLOCK

For me though, what's important is, that people born during the retrograde or close to the superior conjunction, are somewhat branded with Venus' synodic cycle. It's like they carry a meter, a clock that's counting down to important events in their life. And I think this is one of the most powerful ways astrology shows how predestined our lives are. There's an amazing episode of The Astrology Podcast (watch HERE) where they look at lives of "time twins" Hitler and Chaplin and every. single. breakthrough they had in their lives happened during the Venus retrograde in Aries (they were both born during retrograde in that sign). Heck, Hitler even died during one. Now tell me it wasn't literally written (and set in stone) in the stars?

DUA LIPA AND THE POWER OF THE RETROGRADE

Dua was born exactly on a Venus cazimi in Leo. What's more, that conjunction is right on top of Regulus, a fixed star that symbolizes royalty, succes and wealth. Sure, Dua's popularity doesn't match the one of Billie Eilish or Taylor Swift but she slowly but surely gained a pretty decent popularity worldwide - and that is rare for a British-based artist. Her Venus cazimi lays in her 3rd house of thought and adds themes of her Venus-ruled 5th house of creativity.

And, you guessed it, Dua does operate under Venus cycles. She was born during a superior conjunction, so while Venus was direct, somehow she's more influenced by retrogrades. Her first single was released during Venus retrograde in Leo in August of 2015, which clearly brough her luck. During the retrograde in the same sign in 2023 she took a pretty huge part in the Barbie film (a very Venus retrograde-y movie as well). After the release and after retrograde was over, Dua hit a reset (literally as she wiped her whole instagram) and started promoting her next album - and that is the reset I was talking about in the beginning. It's constant reinvention. During that time she also announced that her real ascendant lays in Gemini as opposed to Libra, which is a funny cherry on top.

She also seems to react to other retrogrades as well. During one in Capricorn a few year ago she released her newsletter and then podcast Servce95, which seems to be pretty popular to this day.

See??? Starting things during the retrograde doesn't have to be bad!

Similar example? Ella Fitzgeralt was also born with Venus cazimi in her chart. She was a Leo rising and the conjunction fell into her 10th house in Taurus - a sign ruled by Venus. She was destined to be on stage and to become a music icon - Taurus is known for beautiful voice and grace so this is a perfect representation of a cazimi in that sign.

Her life was also directed by Venus cycles. Her debut stage performance took place one day after Venus conjoined with the Sun in Scorpio in 1934. She had heart surgery in 1986 right before the retrograde. Then in 1991, also before the retrograde, she performed on stage for the last time in her life. Ella eventually passed away just a few days after the cazimi in Gemini in 1996.

So, we see some of her important life events coincided with Venus going retrograde or conjoining the Sun… although in her case, it all took place in signs other than Taurus, interestingly.

DIFFERENT SIDES OF VENUS CAZIMI AND IT'S COMBUSTION

Okay but timing aside… let's look at a couple of other examples of people being born with Venus in the heart of the Sun and see how it affected their lives.

Gordon Ramsey! This is one of my favorite examples of a Venus cazimi because it's not stereotypically obvious. Gordon wasn't necessarily endowed with beauty and charm but let's not forget that Venus rules food, pleasure and taste! His natal conjunction falls in… Scorpio. This is probably where his prickly nature comes from. Venus is also presence and he became one of the most recognizeable and charismatic tv personalities of the recent decades.

Princess of Monaco, Charlene, was also born with Venus cazimi that landed on her MC. Her ascendant is in Taurus so Venus exalted her as a person and literally put her on a royal throne through marriage with Prince Albert. Sun rules her 4th house of family so that brings in the family aspect to the mix. Unfortunately, Venus cazimi doesn't have to mean luck in love. She has other stuff in her chart that indicate pain and struggles, like her Moon being besieged by Mars and Saturn. She was labelled as the saddest bride in history as she got married after news broke that her soon-to-be husband was having affairs left and right (she tried to escape the country 3 times, allegedly and cried during their wedding). She's with his ugly ass to this day. What's important to note is that her Venus is still in the same degree as the Sun although it passed the 0°17' mark - does Venus really get combust at that point and is this also the reason for her partner's hidden secrets?

Interestingly, her time twin is Ukraine's president Zelenskyy - they were born on the same day (!!!) and have ascendants in neighbouring signs (he's a Gemini rising). It's safe to say they have a similar experience as being the face of politics (it's the Sun's throne but also Venus rules diplomacy and riches). Additionally, Zelenskyy used to be an actor - another venusian career. And just like Charlene, depending on the school of thought, his Venus is already combust and there are themes of suspected hidden "backstage" activity he was accused for for a few years now. Could that be a combust Venus' doings as well? What's certain though is that the conjunction did endow him with likeability and composure either way.

OK BUT WHAT ABOUT ROMANCE?

I know you're all asking: but what about love? It is commonly said that number one rule during a Venus retrograde is to stay away from new relationships as they may end quicker than they started (or, quicker than Venus goes direct again that is). Honestly? I'd say no to that and although it may be that people from the past may come back during that period for a brief fling, if you find someone new during the retrograde and you feel there's substance to it, that might be your long-term destiny indeed. Just like we've seen with Dua and Ella, starting something on a retrograde may actually produce good results. Do keep in mind though that you may be putting a timer on that relationship. Also, the relationship may be a bit frowned upon so take that into consideration.

To top it all off, you know who got together during Venus retrograde? Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Their romance started in 2004 when our lovely benefic was retrograde in Gemini (fitting as Angelina is a Gemini while Brad is the sister sign - Sagittarius). Brad was still with Jennifer Aniston so that was scandalous indeed. But that didn't stop them and they quickly became the it couple everyone was swooning over. 4 years later their twins were born (right after the retrograde). 4 more years later - they got engaged (right before the retrograde). Another 4? Angelina filed for divorce. And this is how two whole Venus synodic cycles later Brangelina ceased to exist. That's some impressive astrology right there.

People always ask me if I think it's a good idea to cast magic during Mercury retrograde. I definitely cast magic during Mercury retrogrades.

Protection magic is an obvious yes. Mercury does not impact that. Death work? 100 percent, Hermes was one of the only gods to enter the land of the dead and return to the upper world. Mercury is so changeable that trying to define their energy is challenging anyway. Your spell will manifest differently than when the planet is in direct motion.

the outer planets all spend roughly half the time in retrograde, so that part is not shocking or a major event indicator. but the days of the stations forward and back, like now, can point to some "tower moments" - as in the tarot card the tower. destruction is the name of the game with pluto and we're bound to see some of that around now, so just keep in mind that it's not always bad. some of it is bad! those are the things to work on. but also look for ways to destroy what is not working out, ways to destroy evil, and for bonus points clear out your room or house and give away things you don't need, which are still in good condition, to people who will make good use of them.

Well, if you're looking at a certain placement in your chart you have to pay attention to the house and degree it's in as well because it gives you more context.

Retrogrades typically mean that there is a lot of waiting, thinking and re-evaluating which can take place. That's why I suggested that it could mean something about your meeting will take time. Usually a lower case 'r' will show up under planets in retrograde in any chart.

Just going with Union retrograde in Sagittarius tells me that you could have met this person while travelling, or at school and even at church. You could have met this person long before you started to recognise each other as a partner or could have started as friends for a while. It's something like that, see?

Working With Personal Planet Retrogrades

Note: This is my personal experience and contains a lot of UPG. Traditional astrology would say that you should not, under any circumstances, work with a planet when it is in retrograde motion.

As we approach two major person planet retrogrades in March (Mercury and Venus), I wanted to touch on working with personal planets during their retrograde cycles. For the purposes of this, we are focusing on Mercury, Venus, and Mars - we can extrapolate this to include Jupiter and Saturn, but that is a more complicated conversation better left for another day. We are not including the Sun and Moon here because, as luminaries, we do not perceive them as moving backward through the sky.

What is a retrograde?

A retrograde occurs because of the physics of our solar system: all planets rotate around our Sun, but we perceive them from our position on the Earth. It's essential to understand this: all astrology is based on the position of the planets in relation to us.

We perceive all the planets as moving in the same direction through our skies, a term called prograde. (It's seldom used in modern astrology, but it's worth noting here.) At certain times, the planets appear to move in the opposite direction for a period of time; this is what we call a planetary retrograde.

What is interesting to note is that the planets appear to retrograde for two different reasons based on their position in our solar system.

The two planets inside of the Earth's orbit, Mercury and Venus, appear to retrograde due to their own circumnavigation of the Sun. Mercury and Venus move fast - much faster than Earth or the outer planets. As they move around the Sun, they conjunct the Sun in two ways - either in inferior conjunction (when they are between us on Earth and the Sun) or in superior conjunction (when they are on the other side of the Sun from the Earth).

When the planet has completed its superior movement, it must move back around the Sun again in its inferior movement. This makes it appear to move backward in our skies toward and across the degree of the Sun, creating our retrograde cycles. The retrograde ends as the planet begins to turn around the Sun again and move into a superior position.

For the planets that are past the Earth (Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and our dwarf planet Pluto), retrogrades happen because of speed. The Earth is the fastest of these planets, and so it regularly catches up to and passes the outer planets in their orbits. When this happens, the planets appear to move backward for a time.

You have experienced this firsthand when you are in the fastest car on a highway - it can, at times, look like the car next to you is moving backward as you pass it.

In either case, because we track the planets in relation to the position of OUR planet when they move in the opposite direction as normal through the skies, we identify it as retrograde.

But What Does It MEAN?

In traditional astrology, planetary retrogrades were considered extremely bad omens, which meant that the powers of the planet were out of reach until the retrograde had ended. Most modern astrologers take a more nuanced approach.

When a planet retrogrades, its energy takes on a very different signature than when it is in forward motion. A planet considered highly beneficial (Venus/Jupiter) is less so when in retrograde motion. In contrast, a more malefic planet (Mars/Saturn) may be easier to approach and lighter-handed during their retrograde cycles. If you think about the domain the planet rules and then reverse the energy associated with that planet, you are in the realm of what energy it produces in retrograde.

Especially in regards to the personal planet which effect our personal lives most directly, this can create a lot of disruptions in our expected flows of energy.

When Mercury is retrograde, we can assume disruptions will surround Communication, Technology, and Travel.

When Venus is retrograde, we can expect disruptions in relationships, beauty, and art production. Negotiations can also go poorly, and pleasures of all kinds will be harder to find.

That is oversimplified but may give you an idea of what I am getting at here.

This doesn't make retrograde cycles bad or wrong. It makes them different.

It's wise to remember that retrograde cycles happen periodically: Mercury retrogrades 3-4x a year, Venus about every year and a half, and Mars every twenty-five months.

Will You Be Affected By the Upcoming Retrogrades?

I can't answer that for you, not with any certainty. Some people seem more susceptible to changes in energy than others. Some people are more aware of what goes on in their own lives. Some people are more sensitive. Some retrogrades hit harder than others - due to sign placements, aspects to the other planets, and aspects in our own lives.

On average, people tend to notice personal planet retrogrades (Mercury, Venus, and Mars) more than the rest of the planets. People also tend to notice the retrogrades of their chart ruler or the ruler of the Sun and Moon the strongest. Additionally, retrogrades that strongly aspect your natal birth chart - especially by conjunction - are likely to have the most substantial impact on you.

In this way, Mercury retrogrades are most likely to impact Gemini and Virgo types (Sun, Moon, Ascendant, and Mercury). Venus retrogrades will most likely impact Taurus and Libra types (Sun, Moon, Ascendant, and Venus.) Mars retrogrades will most likely affect Aries and Scorpio types (Sun, Moon, Ascendant, and Mars.)

From another perspective, we can look at what you do and the impact the retrogrades might have on that:

Mercury retrograde will most likely impact writers, communicators, and the tech and travel industries. Venus retrogrades will most likely impact all relationships, artists, and those who work in the beauty and sex trade industries. Mars retrogrades will most likely impact soldiers, manual laborers, and anyone who works with their hands.

Should I Work With the Upcoming Retrogrades?

I'm not you, and I'm not here to tell you what to do.

But here are a few things that lead me towards yes:

You work in one of the industries listed above and need your work to continue as smoothly as possible

You need to travel during Mercury's upcoming retrograde cycle

You're in a rocky relationship, and Venus is going to retrograde

You're a writer or artist who wants to remain productive

You were born while that planet was in retrograde and have had a hard time connecting with it in prograde motion

You work with that planet regularly

That last one is the most important to me. If you want to work to have a strong working relationship with one of the planets, I think that you should be working with them in prograde and retrograde motion.

There are caveats to this. I would be careful before working with a retrograde planet while they are also poorly placed by dignity (in the sign of their fall or exile) unless you have a STRONG reason to do so. This goes doubly for our two most benefic planets (Venus and Jupiter).

Note: in these upcoming March 2025 retrogrades, Mercury is in its fall AND exile while it is in Pisces, and Venus is in her exile in Aries. These are both complex retrogrades as they both span two signs, so neither sign dominates the retrograde cycles.

Unless you are mitigating the effects of the upcoming retrogrades, I would suggest against working with them, again, with exceptions for times of great need and some preference to the reasons mentioned above.

That said, you can ALWAYS work with a retrograde cycle to remediate some of its harsher aspects.

Examples of working with Retrograde Mercury

Casting a road opener to keep your life running smoothly during its retrograde cycle

Casting a protection spell over your computer, router, or modem to keep your internet running smoothly while you work from home

Casting a spell for clear communication in your workplace

Creating a charm so that your plane is on time for your vacation

pathfinding of all kinds is always supported by Mercury's retrograde cycles

Examples of Working with Venus Retrograde

Creating a happy home or peaceful home charm for your house to keep away the senseless arguments

Creating an inspiration spell to keep you motivated to create art and not fall fallow during the retrograde period

Charm an object to help you get tips, commissions, or sales of your art

Creating a charm to keep your heart happy and healthy during Venus's retrograde

Most of these charms/spells are best cast while the planet is in direct/prograde motion and fed throughout the retrograde period. I find the Mercury spells are often well-fed with coffee, and Venus spells are often well-fed with perfume, rose water, or flower teas. Honey or sugar might also work well, depending on your intent.

When choosing a spell to work with personal planet magic, I prefer the day of the week associated with the planet during their hour.
