"Off Stratum" Acrylic on wood - 12"x16" . Myself and my work has been going through some major changes lately, in everything from my inspirations to my setup and process. I've been more and more drawn to architecture and, geometry and hard lines. I cant explain why but I'm incredibly intrigued with my own current evolution. It's like my art had done a 180° from loose, feminine, organic gestures I've grown so close to. This new painting really fell off my hand with what seemed to be no effort. And before everyone asks... yes it's meant to be uneven and a bit disorienting. I have to make it known, I have been long thinking and have ultimately decided to close Revel Detroit and I am no longer taking commissions for the remainder of 2020.
