One of my favorite lyrics from 'American Pie' goes, "Lenin read a book on Marx, the quartet practiced in the park." Whether or not McLean meant Lennon or Lenin, despite writing the latter and referencing the former, it highlights how revolutionary and cultural movements can intersect.
