Ok. I have procrastinated as long as decency allows, but it's time. It's time for me to watch Dorothy's final appearance on screen.
Join me as I wear my mourning garb and press play on Seems Like Old Times, part 1 and 2!

the thing is I do quite like individual stephen moffat episodes, I think they're good episodes. they get less good when you start to see patterns of writing and how he has a tendency of beating a dead horse + ongoing sexism which may be missed in one episode, but becomes very clear through repetition, but if one considers them as one-offs they're Neat bits of writing. it's when he tries to make it longform that it all falls to pieces for me and reverberates back. his lore is a mess and consequently so are his characters if one spends more than an episode or two with them.

Curled up in a fetal position on the floor, deadpan: sometimes I feel as if as a reader I'll never be as close to Kim Dokja as I was during my first read-through. When I was presented with such a stunning fabrication and had little or no reason to doubt his words, or I was doubting them for all the wrong reasons. In actuality they were never his words, or they were but only the ones spoken for his companions to hear, and he was never our narrator. If I read it again will I be able to pay more attention? Will I be able to feel the emotions more strongly? If I read it again will I come across the right interpretation? Understand it better? There is a strong urge to lock myself up in a room and do nothing but read again, read again, hoping to understand it a bit more, but that's not right. There is nothing you can do if you remain only a reader. Maybe I will understand if I live a bit longer and build up more history, collect more stories. Maybe the stories I collect will be too different from this one and work against it

i was so over Noragami but goddamn i keep going back to how Kazuma fucking kills people and tortures people and controls, subjugates, dominates people and he DESIRES his god and he can do all that without them being sins because he's fully convinced in his actions being justified and his insane love for his god overcomes all, gods can do wrong? KAZUMA can do no wrong by the power of his own will. god bless.
