I have to say, this sentence and the feelings behind it is horrifying for so many reasons.

Arya doesn’t really know what they are thinking but she knows it’s worse then the people who want to steal her belongings. I get the feeling that she knows what they want but doesn’t want to acknowledge it because that’s making them real.

For us, it’s horrifying because we are not 9 years old girls, but adults who clearly understand what that sentence means.

This chapter is also really the start of Arya being the main point of view, the witness and a victim of what it actually means to be a smallfolk in Westeros.

It is an important part of her arc and it’s political in nature because, her having lived through that (and being the only one who lived as a smallfolk in Westeros) means that her rexperience could make the best person to reform/create new laws for them later on.

What would be the point to have Arya specifically, Arya underfoot, Arya the extrovert of the Stark family, who talk and play with everyone regardless of class, see that if not so that she can do something about it when she does get some power (at some point) ?

Whats insane about Disney’s decision to replace Tarzan’s treehouse with its former theme, Swiss Family Robinson is that it sort of like, another Disney Remake. Its a carbon copy of what was already there and doesnt really add anything except the ability to rexperience the magic of your childhood(if youre like 40).

But also like??? Why now why the SFR????? Theres no remake coming out on Disney+ as far as I’m aware and Tarzan’s treehouse was great for Toddlers and Little Kids who needed energy to burn. If they wanted to do a retheme theres a perfectly good scene from the movie Encanto—treehouse and all—they couldve borrowed from. I just dont get it.

sonic generations was really cool because it allowed old fans to rexperience some of their childhood nostalgia but ALSO because it gave little kids just becoming sonic fans at the time the opportunity to share that nostalgia as they got older. i didn't play SA2 until i was in my early teens but i still experience fond emotional flashbacks of sitting in the floor of the living room playing my new sonic game when i listen to For True Story and for an entirely different reason than the people who were kids during the adventure era do. that's so cool that these experiences get to be passed down
