Whats insane about Disney’s decision to replace Tarzan’s treehouse with its former theme, Swiss Family Robinson is that it sort of like, another Disney Remake. Its a carbon copy of what was already there and doesnt really add anything except the ability to rexperience the magic of your childhood(if youre like 40).
But also like??? Why now why the SFR????? Theres no remake coming out on Disney+ as far as I’m aware and Tarzan’s treehouse was great for Toddlers and Little Kids who needed energy to burn. If they wanted to do a retheme theres a perfectly good scene from the movie Encanto—treehouse and all—they couldve borrowed from. I just dont get it.

I might be looking too much into it but I swear jlb put the flashback of Jameson, Emily and Grayson in the treehouse to retell what or how both relationships were like. In a sense. So in the treehouse, Emily wanted to kiss Grayson but instead Jameson swoops in like Tarzan and offers to kiss her. She kisses him because why not. Then proceeds to kiss Grayson after…
My interpretation of this is that Emily began a relationship with Jameson first despite the fact that she wanted Grayson more. This is what made Avery and Jameson different is the fact that this time, Jameson was actually the first choice instead. Because Grayson was Emily’s first option but as we know… she couldn’t let Jameson go etc etc.
Her kiss and relationship with Jameson means that she only did that to satisfy what she couldn’t have. yet. Because he was willing to give her everything, which was himself. Unbeknownst to him, Grayson is willing to do the same, hence their relationship too.
But Emily and Grayson’s kiss, through Jamie’s perspective, seemed more real because “it lasted longer” and she “looked like she wanted to kiss him again”. long story short, the real relationship was actually with Grayson because she wanted him more than Jamie.

Need inspiration for art, you say?…
Tarzan!Freyja.
And the “Jane” she carries over her shoulder is either Chester, Roger, Duncan, or Barnaby.
Chester: bruh why is he even here he’s the equivalent of an accountant jk jk he would probably be the closest equivalent to Jane, but more susceptible to fainting spells from the heat. Freyja found him after one such spell and takes him to her treehouse or tree to recover. Would have the most Tarzan/Milo x Jane/Kida dynamic with Freyja, maybe.
Roger: read all of the adventure/swashbuckling books and somehow thought that was enough knowledge to go exploring himself. Prepared for the likely scenario of finding and rescuing a delicate native damsel in distress from a dangerous jaguar. Not so prepared for being on the run from an angry family/army of baboons, and even less so for being rescued by a capable, amazonian young woman. Freyja is confused and slightly annoyed by how this guy keeps getting into trouble (totally not staging scenarios in which he can rescue her only for something to go wrong and needing to be rescued instead, again)
Duncan: his parents were probably explorers that found and rescued Jacob and brought him home to be a playmate to Duncan, not realizing J was separated from his sister. Years later, Jacob and Duncan return to the Jungle in Africa because the former had a gut feeling his sister was still alive. What were the chances that his grumpy, grumbling best friend would be the one who would find —well, be found by— the long lost little sister? A…slightly-taller-and-slightly-buffer-than-he-was little sister? No Jacob, he is not blushing he is flushed from the heat thank you very much.
Barnaby: he came for the animals, obviously. Freyja stopped him from hugging an angry gorilla. He adopted her as a new friend.
so … orphans Jacob and Freyja got separated in the African jungle as children, where unbeknownst to Freyja, Jacob got taken back to the UK. Freyja remained in the jungle a little while alone until she was found by missionaries. They managed to keep her “tame and civilised” until age 14 or so when she escaped back to the jungle, and has been there at least a decade.
Having no desire to leave the jungle until she finds Jacob, she puts up a hostile front to any people who wander through her part of the jungle. People pass through occasionally, either
by accident (Chester)
Tumblr media
((in which case she is more likely to give them safe passage in exchange for their promise to discourage others from coming through that part of the jungle. “There’s a demon living out there! I barely got away with my life!”))
from curiosity (Roger)
Tumblr media
the curious ones are more dangerous in Freyja’s opinion. They’re more likely to try and “re-educate her” and “bring her back to civilisation” to “fulfil her natural role” as some have attempted to do in the past. It didn’t end well for them.
or a little bit of both (Barnaby)
Tumblr media
some friendly people have come through Freyja’s part of the jungle in the past 10 years, and have gifted knowledge on self defence/trapping and items like books/material. Other items she acquired by simply looting. So by the time Jacob drags Duncan to the other side of the world to find his long-lost sister, she is more than capable of defending herself against strangers.

Blue Skies Smilin' At Me, Nothin' But Blue Skies Do I See! I actually dig this ensemble. On the right is Bill Cable, actor and beefcake model -- he was the opening icepick victim in "Basic Instinct" -- who was a pre-Elvira Cassandra Peterson's boyfriend in the '70s. The lived in a treehouse (!) like Tarzan and Jane, and he later appeared on "Movie Macabre" rising out of a cauldron in a loincloth.

Tsua Jungle AU (No Quirks)
Visitors of the Jungle Cast
Midoriya's Group consists of the following people:
Archeologist! Izuku: A young intern training under All Might. Think of a mini Indiana Jones. A total sweetheart who will whip a bitch for stealing from ancient temples. Arrived in this jungle to explore lost cities.
Bionist! Ochako: Girlfriend of Izuku and botanist! She's the one who's in charge of driving vehicles ("Uraraka start the engine!" <<Midoya running for his life) and identifying edible foods they can eat. She came along because she wants to keep her bf safe, and explore the unknown!
Photographer! Shoto: A run away rich boy. Daddy disapproved of his choice in career, that among the obvious, Todoroki struck out on his own. Came to the jungle so he can make an online calendar.
Herpetologist! Tsuyu: The guide who owns her own nature blog. She keeps everyone calm under the most dangerous circumstances. She's also the main cook of the group. Is the one that suggested they come to the jungle for research.
Koda's Group has the following people:
Zoologist! Koji: A mute, sweet zoologist who loves animals. Prefers to study rather than go on adventures like Izuku's group does. Suggested they go to the jungle to study animals.
Writer! Momo: A rich girl who has a taste for the thrill. Got bored at home and decided to leave to get her groove back. Came to the jungle to get some inspiration for her next book.
Translator! Menzo: A translator that graduated from college a month ago. Like Tsu, he’s calm even in the most dangerous circumstances. He arrived with the group so he could build his resume.
Guide! Fumikage: The Survivor of the group after his plane crash landed months ago. Tells dark poetry and tells stories of tales of the jungle. Joins the group so he can not only get back to civilization, but test himself in the dark.
Ojiro's group consists of the following people:
Explorer! Hagakure: A senior Explorer who knows what she's doing. Brave as all hell and is a good spy for the group. Came to the jungle to help Hoshi get his explorer badge.
Researcher! Mashirao: A budding researcher. Knows his stuff and keeps his cool unless it's too out of control. He wanted to go to the jungle so he could find the king of the jungle.
Inhabitants of the Jungle
Tarzan! Tenya: The Prince of the Jungle. A serious individual, but very curious of other people like him. Just as, even if not more feral than Tensei. Lives with his brother Tensei.
Tarzan! Tensei: The King of the Jungle. Mute due to his trauma, yet a very ferocious man who will stop at nothing to protect his home and his baby brother. Lives in a treehouse with Tenya.
Explorer! Aizawa: A grumpy ass explorer. Aizawa dislikes his job of discovering why he's still doing this is unclear. Lives in the jungle with Shinso so he can make a map of the place.
Explorer! Shinso: Another grumpy, yet much more curious Explorer. Often hides in his tent, but will go out if he has to. Lives in the jungle with Aizawa so he too gets his badge.
The Amazons tribe: An all women tribe deep in the jungle. This tribe is well known as discoverers and hunters, always out looking for the unknown. The tribe is ruled by Midnight.
Vlad King Tribe: A more welcoming, if not slightly territorial tribe. Just simple dwellers trying to live their lives in peace. Though sometimes it's not always simple. The tribe is led by Vlad King.
Bakugou's Tribe: A hostile and barbaric tribe. Only the strong will survive in this tribe filled with treasure hoarders and very territorial people. They will kill and/or capture intruders on sight. Ruled by Bakugou and Bakugou alone.

JUNGLE HEAT
18+ if you're a minor do not read this
Tumblr media
❈ ∴ ∵ ∴ ∵ ∴ 🥭 ∴ ∵ ∴ ∵ ∴ ❈
Summary: Tarzan loses his loincloth and discovers his love for exhibitionism.
Warnings: exhibitionism, male masturbation.
Note: This fic was requested by @princeasimdiya12
❈ ∴ ∵ ∴ ∵ ∴ 🥭 ∴ ∵ ∴ ∵ ∴ ❈
Tarzan is swinging from vine to vine, returning home after picking some fresh fruits.
The morning sun is filtering between the thick foliage of the jungle, warming his tanned skin.
The sweet taste of mangoes still lingers on his tongue as he makes his way back to his treehouse.
The chirping of birds fills his ears and the rustling of leaves beneath his feet.
His long, muscular legs pump with each powerful swing, propelling him farther and farther into the heart of the jungle.
Suddenly, a loose vine snaps beneath his weight, launching him in a free fall towards the ground.
With a loud gasp, Tarzan grabs onto another vine just in time to save his life.
He hangs there for a moment, catching his breath and to his horror, he realizes that his loincloth has come undone during the fall.
Embarrassed beyond reason by his nudity, Tarzan searches for his lost garment.
He finds it hanging on a branch and as much as he tries to tie it again around his hips, unfortunately, it's completely torn off now, leaving him exposed anyway.
He knows he has to make his way back home in that state without being seen.
He can't decide the best route to get to his treehouse as fast as possible, the vines are faster but anyone could see him swing fully naked, on feet will take more time but it's somewhat safer.
While he climbs down a large tree, he hears voices coming his way.
Tarzan freezes, his heart pounding in his chest. He recognizes the voices - they belong to his friends, who are probably looking for him.
Frantically, he scans the area for a place to hide, his mind racing with fear and his cheeks burning from embarrassment.
As Tarzan hides behind the tree trunk, he can hear his friends' voices getting closer, their steps audible as they walk on twigs and dry leaves.
His heart is pounding so hard in his chest that he fears even others could hear it.
Tarzan feels a strange sensation as he hears his friends approaching; he feels a twitch in his groin.
He tries to ignore it, and his friends pass by, they continue chatting and laughing, completely oblivious to Tarzan's naked presence.
He holds his breath, praying they won't stop or turn around, but to his relief, they keep going, their voices fading into the distance.
Shaken but relieved, Tarzan takes a moment to steady himself, he closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, the comforting smell of the ground fills his nose.
He tries to shake off the strange sensation he feels, blaming it on nerves and adrenaline.
One of his hands sneaks down to touch the patch of hair on his groin, curious about the twitch he felt before.
As he gingerly explores his exposed genitals, he feels a surge of arousal wash over him.
He can't believe it, he's used to strange things as life in the jungle is always an adventure but that...he's turned on by being naked and exposed in the open.
He's not a stranger to arousal, he has experienced it many times before, but always in the safety and privacy of his treehouse.
Using the rough pad of his fingers, he begins to slowly stroke his shaft, feeling the heat and weight of it in his hand.
He hears a twig snapping, his head shoots up and he quickly retracts his hand from his groin, trying to act casual as he looks around, the tingling sensation in his neither regions intensifies.
But another sound catches his attention - the rustling of leaves and the soft thump of footsteps.
Tarzan's heart skips a beat as he realizes his friends must have doubled back on their path. He quickly glances around, looking for somewhere else to hide.
His mind races as he remembers the time they caught him swimming naked in the nearby waterfall, laughing and teasing him mercilessly.
The waterfall could be useful, remembering the small crevice behind the thick curtain of water, he starts moving stealthily in that direction.
His erection is now throbbing painfully, Tarzan feels the weight of it as he moves.
He can't help but fondle himself occasionally, his fingers brushing against the sensitive head of his member.
As Tarzan reaches the waterfall, he quickly slips behind it, pressing his body against the cool stone.
The deafening roar of water covers every other noise, his eyes darting nervously in all directions, but there's no one.
He knows he can't stay hidden forever, but for now, he needs this moment to himself.
With a gentle caress, Tarzan begins to explore his own body, his fingertips tracing the contours of his muscular chest and flat stomach.
His nipples start to harden, thanks to the chilly sprays of water that soothe his burning skin.
His heart races as he dips lower, tracing the trail of hair that leads to his manhood.
With a small groan of pleasure, Tarzan begins to touch himself.
He grips his shaft tightly, feeling the toughness of his palm against the sensitive spots.
His hips begin to move involuntarily as he keeps his hands still and thrusts his hips into his fists, grunting and groaning with each movement.
The sensation is overwhelming, and he feels himself getting closer and closer to release.
His cock jerks and twitches in his hand, leaking a clear, viscous pre-cum.
As Tarzan reaches the peak of his pleasure, he throws his head back, letting out a primal growl that echoes through the stone walls.
His muscles tense, his fists clenching tightly around his shaft as he feels the rush of release washing over him.
Warm, thick cum erupts from his cock, spurting out between his fingers and splashing onto the rock beneath him.
He looks down at the sticky fluid that coats his hand as he catches his breath, he realizes how much he enjoyed masturbating in public.
He washes his hands and groin under the water stream, before cautiously heading back home.
He sneaks past his family and friends until he reaches his treehouse, he tears a piece of fabric and fabricates another loincloth to wear.
He's disappointed that he can't stay naked outside, but maybe in the confinement of his own house, things could change.

so my parents took me to disneyland a few times as a child... and the one memory that never ceases to send me into a laughing fit, is the very vivid recollection I have of the year 1999 when the Tarzan movie came out. because, in disney's absolutely shortsighted marketing reasoning, they decided that it would be a 100% good idea to create this attraction called Tarzan's Treehouse.
Tarzan's Treehouse only recently got taken down (2021) so I know plenty of people have seen it, but there were a few blissful, ill-conceived months after its unveiling that it featured a live male Tarzan actor inside.
and let me tell you. imagine the most naturally ripped, shirtless man in all of LA, inside a rope/wire mesh of a cage 30 feet in the air. imagine a tiny, claustrophobic walkway around it that's part of the line for an incredibly popular ride, forcing people to pass by it. you have no choice but to witness this man.
do you know what it's like, to see fifty straight women desperately rattling the walls of a hot shirtless man's little enclosure? screaming out, whistling, catcalling in horny ecstasy, in the middle of this children's amusement park? the man stares out, hollow eyed--this hopeful actor realizing that maybe the big break he'd always dreamt of was not for his career but for his psyche?
can you imagine being a disney employee standing there on day 1 of this thing, and realizing that after probably a year of planning and talent-searching, all you've created is the most unintentionally popular, hot flash-inducing attraction in all of disneyland history?

Disney Dreamland - Part 2: Adventureland
Due to my quirk of wanting each land’s name to reflect a broad genre, Frontierland was basically merged into Adventureland (I know westerns are their own genre, but I felt it too niche compared to the other genres I picked). I tried my best not to be stereotypical in regards to certain areas. Cultural experts would be consulted (both native to their country and diaspora).
Also, I should mention, I friggin' love carousels. I put at least one in each genre land. I'm just that nuts about them.
Tumblr media
Imperial Courtyard
This area would be similar to the China Pavilion in EPCOT, but more focused on fiction and mythology. Includes a lovely lotus pond garden to sit and relax in. Would have Lunar New Year celebrations in the winter. Disclaimer: I may be a child of Hong Kong immigrants but I grew up a full westerner New Yorker. Please consult cultural experts.   At the moment, my mind’s eye is picturing this area neatly tucked away in a corner between World Galleria and the rest of Adventureland.
Sun Wukong the Monkey King / Journey to the West: Dark ride. I only recently learned that despite Sun Wukong being a popular character, he is not in fact the protagonist of Journey to the West. I think centering it on either Sun Wukong’s life and backstory, or the actual journey to the West with the other characters could work. The art style would resemble Chinese calligraphy paintings come to life. I would also love an original song that ties the entire ride together, in the same manner as “Compass of Your Heart” from Sindbad's Storybook Voyage in Tokyo DisneySea.
Mulan stage show: Would contain well-choreographed martial arts stunts, alongside musical performances, with “Make A Man Out of You” being the big showstopper combining both. For the design aesthetic, I’m thinking of something similar to Mulan’s float unit in Shanghai’s parade.
Zodiac Carousel: Under a lovely red and gold Chinese pavilion roof. Features twelve rows of animals of the Chinese Zodiac. Could be located inside the garden.
Jade Phoenix Tea House: Chinese tea, pastries, and dim sum.
Golden Dragon Restaurant: Table service.
Tumblr media
Equatorial Tropics
Blends from Polynesia to Africa.
The Enchanted Tiki Room : The only thing I’d change is have a new cast of host birds, to make it unique. Maybe there could also be a temporary Lilo and Stitch / Moana overlay during the summer months.
Polynesian Terrace restaurant: Table service.
Jungle River Cruise: Obviously would not include condescending stereotypes of natives. Otherwise, I would like it to be distinctly unique from other versions of the ride with a new storyline and skipper commentary.
“Treetop Village” : My park’s equivalent of the Swiss Family Treehouse. I wanted to have a suspension bridge entrance like Anaheim’s version used to have (as Tarzan’s Treehouse), which I thought looked so cool, and then I thought about putting my treehouse on an island in the Jungle River Cruise, like Hong Kong’s, with the bridge crossing over the river from the walkway entrance. Then I thought, why not make it a whole village of treehouses on the island, all connected by suspension bridges? It would be limited to a handful of trees so as not to disrupt the Jungle Cruise ride too much, but would still have plenty of scenic views for guests to see. There could be a few interactive elements for guests to play with, such as rope and pulley systems, to simulate the illusion of functioning living quarters. Maybe even include a couple of swings.
Tales of Anansi: Dark ride. A stylized retelling of the Anansi stories with a unique art style, in the same manner as how Lion King was adapted for stage. This is partially to look cool and unique, and partially to avoid Anansi looking too creepy for anyone afraid of spiders. Please consult cultural experts.
Circle of Life buffet: Cuisine from Kenya and Tanzania, the countries of inspiration for The Lion King. But just for fun, one of the desserts could be Timon and Pumbaa’s Chocolate “Mud” and Gummy Bugs.
Disney Dreamland Railroad Adventureland station: Styled after a jungle trading post
Tumblr media
Pirate Cove
Visually based off the Adventure Isle area in Paris’s Adventureland. Includes a walkthrough ship, a restaurant ship, a small island (Skull Island), and a picturesque waterfall. This area would probably be outside the railroad perimeter, accessible through a mountain tunnel.
“Pirates Ride” : I think Pirates of the Caribbean is a very neat ride. I have a lot of mixed feelings regarding *ahem* certain scenes, but that’s a lot to unpack for another time. I do not want this version of Pirates to have anything to do with the movies, which while entertaining, I feel have overstayed their welcome (but I will admit the scenery in Shanghai’s version of the ride is breathtaking, both real and digital, and the battle climax is definitely exciting). Rather than copying the classic ride, I would love it if Imagineers would come up with a brand new story with a brand new set of pirates in another part of the world. That said, I have no issue with Jack Sparrow being a walk around character in the area.
“Pirate Explore Zone”: Inspired by the various walkthrough ships in Disney Parks. Could also extend to Skull Island, which includes caves you can wander around, inspired by Le Ventre de la Terre underneath Paris’s version of the Swiss Family Treehouse.
“Pirate Stunt Show”: An action stunt show on the water utilizing floats.
“Pirate Ship restaurant”: Quick service.
X Marks the Shop: Pirated themed merchandise.
Tumblr media
Wild Western Frontier
The start of “Frontierland”. Part typical Wild West town, part Native community featuring adobe pueblos, part Grand Canyon-style rock formations. Please consult cultural experts.
Western River Expedition: Based on the never-built attraction by Marc Davis. Would be tweaked to avoid any stereotypical portrayals of Native peoples. Please consult cultural experts. The river flume would be crafted to intertwine with Big Thunder’s railroad. Also includes a snapshot photo-op at the final drop, like Splash Mountain.
Big Thunder Mountain: Mostly the same, but I would rearrange to have the train pass through the underground Rainbow Caverns at the end before the unloading dock. Story could go that in trying to find the last motherlode of gold, you accidentally trigger explosions that nearly trap you, but end up unearthing the caverns; pretty much like the Mickey Mouse short Nature's Wonderland that homages this ride and its predecessor. Lesson being that in life, you may not always find what you want, but sometimes you find something else just as valuable.
Cowboy Carousel: Would appear to be built out of wood. Could resemble a farm enclosure. Horses in cowboy hats and bandanas. This is not really a necessary addition to the area, but as I mentioned, I LOVE carousels and could not resist putting it on this list.
Golden Horseshoe Revue restaurant: American cuisine and BBQ and saloon stage show. Table service. (I have yet to experience this in the existing parks, but I’d like to some day.)
General Store: Cowboy-themed merchandise.
“Native Legends of the West” / “Legends of Coyote”: Dark ride designed in a Native art style. Please consult cultural experts. Could retell various legends of the region, but for a more unified story it could focus on the trickster character of Coyote.
Native-owned shops: Authentic Native American artisan crafts. Shout-out to @disneylanddilettante for the idea. Could feature live demonstrations and workshops for kids, along with guides to explain the cultural significance.
Land of the Dead restaurant: Mexican cuisine. I wanted a place that could be themed as a nod to Coco, my favorite Pixar movie, without being heavily IP themed. Actual Día de Muertos celebrations would only happen in the fall; this restaurant would basically allude to the daily lives of the inhabitants of The Land of the Dead the rest of the year outside of Día de Muertos. Please consult cultural experts. Would include a live mariachi band.
Tumblr media
Rivers of America
Embodies the calmer aspects of Frontierland, however I still think they fit neatly into Adventureland if you think of life itself as an adventure, with this area being the "take it easy" part. The northern coast of the river would be on the edge of Mysteryland, part of that land’s city themed area, but with the buildings facing the river themed to New Orleans.
Fort Wilderness Island: Themed to a summer camp.
Fort Wilderness River Rafts: Transport to and from the island.
Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes
“Tall Tales Campfire”: Stage show retelling of classic American tall tales. Does not have to be a literal campfire, as that would limit the shows to nighttime only, not to mention be a hazard.
Camp Woodchuck Kitchen: Based on the restaurant of the same name from Tokyo. Quick service. Waffle sandwiches and s’mores brownies. The original three flavors of waffles sandwiches were Fried Chicken and Maple Sauce (Huey), Bacon and Vegetables and BBQ Sauce (Dewey), and Shrimp and Avocado (Louie).
Johnny Appleseed stand: Apple tarts, apple fritters, apple fries, caramel apples, and apple cider.
On the coast of the river:
Mark Twain Riverboat
“Musical Americana Animals”: Animatronic stage show inspired by The Country Bear Jamboree and America Sings.
Tiana’s Palace: New Orleans cuisine. Tiana’s signature beignets and swamp gumbo are a must. Jazz band playing live music, with appearances by Louis the alligator and performances by Tiana and Naveen. There could even be a short Mardi Gras show every hour.
Other parts:
World Galleria
Mysteryland
Fantasyland
Create-It-Land
Discoveryland

I know it's never going to happen in a million years, but today I'm fantasizing about if the Disney parks had made a little "Stonetown" area, like the Tarzan/Swiss Family Robinson treehouse or Tom Sawyer's island

context: during disneyland’s earlier years of operation, park-goers would purchase individual tickets for each ride. these tickets were priced on a sliding scale based on which rides were the biggest/most complex/most popular, with A being the cheapest and E being the most expensive. below the cut are prices + examples :3
A ticket: 10 cents. main street horse carriages, fantasyland carousel, sleeping beauty castle, etc
B ticket: 25 cents. casey jr circus train, swiss family treehouse (currently tarzan’s treehouse), alice in wonderland, etc
C ticket: 40 cents. mad tea party, mr toad’s wild ride, shooting galleries, peter pan’s flight, etc
D ticket: 70 cents. tomorrowland rockets, peoplemover, storybook boats, tom sawyer island, etc
E ticket: 85 cents. matterhorn bobsleds, pirates of the caribbean, tiki room, haunted mansion, etc. also for some reason the pack mules were in this category as well (the pack mules were just riding a donkey around frontierland for a couple hours)
