🇩🇪 "Konzentriere dich auf das Gute." Das Leben ist nicht immer ein Zuckerschlecken und es bringt kleinere und größere Katastrophen mit sich, wie wir alle es im letzten Jahr gesehen haben. Manchmal möchte man verzweifeln, doch dann sind es manchmal nur Kleinigkeiten, die einem das Lächeln zurück geben. Für dieses #lettering habe ich die #colorsofthemonthchallenge Farben von @frauhoelle und @letterbraut genutzt. Außerdem habe ich mich zum ersten Mal an einem #ribbonlettering versucht, dass ich schon so oft bei @farbheldin gesehen habe. 🇬🇧 "Fokus on the Good" Live isn't always easy. Not sure if I've mentioned this but all of the solids in my Ribbon Letters Quilt come from a bundle that I got at @_theworkroom that they perfectly coordinated with the Rifle Paper Les Fleur fabrics. It's such a great way to make a favourite set of print fabrics stretch! This is what happens when you experiment in Photoshop because you’re brain is too messy to do much else. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Most of my commissions are done for now and, though I have a list a mile long for other things needing done, I wasn’t able to move around much or focus very well today. I’m surprised with my dizziness and smooshy brain that I was able to focus long enough to create this! 😵 The goal was to create the waves and shading but it took off from there and I learned/accidentally discovered a ton of new techniques. The lettering is pretty rough and crappy but I’m pretty happy with how this turned out anywho. Corners were cut on the overlapping lettering shading because I was working with teeny weeny pixels...definitely going bigger next time. I’m also displeased with the area missing in the wall of the A cross “inside” the letter...I’ll have to research/experiment with that issue. 🧐 Next step: custom letters and less fonts! (SALTY is a font FYI - PIER SANS - everything else was created by me!) And maybe a postcard series...or bookmark? Thank you to Danika @danika.ink for the wording suggestion. Aurora Tutorial Used: @makoccinos The stars look more like snow, but it’s okay!
