There's something so fun about the idea of Sydney and Richie getting closer in season 3 and Carmy just losing his entire mind because Sydney was his. She was his hire, his business partner, the only person who saw him separate from the history with Mikey. His little mind-meld, sentence-completing, unison-speaking cooking twin and why the fuck is she giving Richie samples for her menu ideas before talking to him?!
And I really don't mean this in a shipping way - the logical end result of the s2 finale is Carmy throwing himself headfirst into work and being like "HELLO SYDNEY I'M READY TO WORK NOW" but there's no way she'll be able to trust him because she basically had that trust shattered repeatedly for 3 months straight. But somehow, in the midst of their friends and family fiasco, Richie, WHO SHE STABBED, had her back? He brought her down from her panic and gave her the encouragement to pull it together and complete service.
Syd obviously has a wonderful relationship with Tina but Richie being really good at Expo, the thing that literally makes Sydney throw up, means they'll have something to work on together next season.
And Carmy will cry maybe idk

the "paul is richie's uncle" headcanon is really cute but i really love it in tandem with the idea that ted is surprisingly involved in his little brother's life while paul is more just vaguely fond of his nephew, but doesn't really know all that much about his friends or his day-to-day life
like, the idea of ted knowing all his geeky little brother's friends really well, like letting them chill in his apartment every now and then to watch movies or driving them home when they have their stupid library study sessions or whatever is already pretty fun, just the idea that the Local Bastard has accidentally and begrudgingly been saddled with these two loser highschoolers because they're his little brother's dweebus friends that he doesn't want to admit he has a soft spot for, but it's made doubly funny if paul just has no idea that his nephew's best friend is the little brother of the Worst Guy In His Office. ted comes over to paul's desk one day with a stack of dog-eared manga like "pete forgot to take these this morning, so you give 'em back to richie for me, okay? also, ruth's right, stein and spirit are definitely fucking and i want him to stop fighting with her about it when i pick 'em up from the library" and paul is just like. okay. i have several questions about this.

No bc imagine how shitty Pete must have felt going back to school after Ruth and Richie died. Like sure he gained 2 friends in Steph and Grace but he also lost his best friends in the world. Not only that, but I know for a fact that this boy fell behind in his fucking schoolwork while his friends were being murdered and he was sacrificing his bully to 5 eldritch beings. Like imagine wanting to mourn your best friends after the shock has worn off and you can't even do that because you have to catch up on your AP Calc homework because suddenly you're units behind and last you checked you were just finding derivatives and WHAT THE FUCK IS AN INFLECTION POINT-

re-watching the bear with mom bc it's finally out legally and we got to ep 6 today and oh my god honestly the way mikey and richie talk about claire is somehow worse than i remembered. the chubby girl who you likedd when she was ugly is now acceptably fuckable (to our standards) so you should really go fuck her and be a normal guy, carmen!! say 2 adults who are definitely not in healthy relationships and who only want carmen to get with claire so they can......what....... stop being uncomfortable with him not being like them? not have to worry about a possibility of carm being gay?

Before I watched NPMD I saw a clip of "The Best of You" and assumed it was like the original Heather's heaven prom ending. (Glad its not because I would be devastated if Pete and Steph died) But feel like an ending like that would fit perfectly with the Hatchet field universe. And everyone who "died" being on stage kind of helps the idea so....
AU where the nerds still make the deal with the lords in black, BUT they never said WHEN they would take care of max. So Max kills Steph, Pete and Grace, then gets dragged down to the Black. Everyone wakes up at a never ending homecoming, thinking that everything is fine and it was all just a horrible dream. All the nerds reunite. Steph's dad is a chaperone. And even Max is there restored to his human self. Everyone is overwhelmed with joy, Max can't even remember why he used to bully these dudes. And they dance the eternal night away, unaware that it's all a prison the LIB made for them.
