Career World Credits Map: Copperdale
Tumblr media
The Career World save file has been curated and edited by me, but is by no means filled with my own creations. Here are the original creators of the lots used in Copperdale. As an FYI, there are a number of variations for the formal dance version of dumbest_king's auditorium that I did specifically for this save file. They can be found on the gallery under the hashtag #CareerWorld.
Copperdale also contains a bunch of new teens made by talented CAS creators from the gallery. Here is a list of the new sims, broken down by house:
Womp Womp House: Most of the cheerleaders of Womp Womp House were made by X_Ody12_x. The only exceptions are Sidney Price, who was made by EA, and Valerie Bennett, who is part of a group of sims from the High School Years trailer made by Machine170. Coach Dugan, the Womp Womp House monitor, was made by Bunnyhart.
Llama House: Most sims in Llama house are EA originals. The only exceptions are Cody Thompson, who is part of the HSY trailer group by Machine170; Kiana Flynn, who was made by ExcitingChives; and Kyleigh Ocampo (name changed), who is by NaomiAE26.
Cowplant House: Tai Lum and Ash Harjo are EA originals. Ryan Guerra is by themessylemon. Tyler Peterson is by T33ths0up. Tristin Quan (altered) is by Zenrosa. Rainbow Hillman (altered) is by Shes_Witchin. Samaira Rihaan is by me (rachelwolfe).

Bodyguard - Part 2
Lisa smiled at the guard as she walked up to him, an unlit cigarette in her mouth. She saw him look her up and down. She looked like a woman on a night out with her black wet-leather look leggings and blue crop top under a jean jacket. She pointed to the cigarette in her mouth and motioned to ask if he had a lighter.
The guard nodded and walked towards her, giving a quick glance to his colleague by the back door as he did so. They looked like young men, both with beards and shaved heads that were trying to give the impression that they were more intimidating than they were. Lisa winked at the guard and let him close the gap to her. She put her hand behind her back.
"Thanks" she said as he approached, the lighter raising in his hand. He sparked the lighter and as he did, she moved like lightning, spinning him around as he was off balance with one hand whilst the one round her back reappeared with a knife that went to his now-exposed throat and cut it open quickly.
Pfft-pfft. She saw his colleague begin to look alarmed before he fell forward, shot twice in the back. As he fell, he exposed his killer in a black turtleneck shirt and black trousers and holding a suppressed Beretta. Landon Breer looked surprised at what he had just done but Lisa walked over to him and put her arm on his shoulder.
"Good" she said quietly, "now finish him".
Breer seemed to gulp but fired once more into the head of the guard he had shot, the back of it exploding as the bullet hit home. "Oh shit" he whispered, but Lisa gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.
"We'll talk about it later" she said, "let's do this first". He nodded at her, steeling himself and still gripping the gun tightly. Lisa took her jean jacket off, throwing it to the ground and exposing the shoulder holster over her top that held her suppressed Sig-P226 and ammunition. 'This is going to make for one interesting debrief' she thought to herself.
------
"Hey let's go to my room". Lisa tugged on the arm of Breer as he watched the scene in his hotel room. It was now a commotion of police officers and hotel staff, some of the police photographing the three dead bodies, others seemingly standing around and trying to look busy. "Landon?" Lisa prompted him and he turned to her, "let's go".
"Sure" he said, turning away and she led him down the corridor where it was more peaceful. The last hour had been intense. The hotel security had come bursting into the room to find Lisa and Landon sitting on the bed, her seemingly comforting him.
"Look distraught" she said, "we'll just say it was probably a robbery, but I'm your security and I intervened. I was in here doing the schedule for tomorrow" she had told him as she quickly put her dress on again over her lingerie. He had agreed and played his part to perfection but she still guessed the evening had been shocking for him. Within minutes they had gone from the pleasures of sex to the carnage of a shootout.
The detectives had questioned them both with the help of an interpreter but Landon stuck to their story. He was kind and courteous to the police. Lisa for her part was asked very little, the detectives wanting to dedicate most of their attention to the movie star rather than her.
She opened the door to her room a way down the corridor from Breer's and showed him inside. "Coffee?" she offered after they had shut the door.
"Sure" he said, nodding. "Hey Gretchen," he said, looking up at her, "look I just....I wanted to say thanks. I didn't.....I didn't mean to put you in danger".
"Well it's a good job I was there" she said, smiling at him.
"Yeah" he said, chuckling, "is it weird that I still had an awesome time tonight?"
"No" she said, "I had a good time too". She smiled at him. "I guess we can probably cut the rest of the trip short?"
"Sure" he said, "I already texted Giorgio, he says he'll come over here".
Lisa nodded. "And Rihaan Arandawala - the black dragon...why is he wanting to kill you?"
Breer sighed. "I owe him a few debts. I came here in my younger years, went to the casino and lost....a decent amount. I couldn't pay so I asked for forgiveness and he gave me a loan which....which had pretty unfavourable terms". He put his head in his hands. "I was twenty years old, I was fucking stupid".
Lisa nodded. She knew some local gangs could be terrible and take advantage. He had probably been playing against a rigged hand. "And you can't pay him off?"
"I've always wanted to" Breer protested, "but Giorgio told me we couldn't, said it could be bad for business if it got leaked to the press, we don't want to be funding crime etc. Maybe he'll listen now".
The coffee had finished making and Lisa gave him a cup, which he accepted gratefully. She sat next to him on the bed and sighed. "Oh Landon" she said, "well at least you got to see some of my talents tonight".
"Yeah" he said, "you were amazing Gretchen, amazing".
She edged closer to him. "At the killing or....?"
"Everything" he said, smiling at her. He moved his mouth closer to hers but they heard a knocking on her door.
"Landon! Landon!" called a man, and Lisa recognised it as the voice of his agent Giorgio. She saw Breer wince, a little embarrassed that the moment had been interrupted but Lisa got up and opened the door. His agent was short and balding but came rushing to Breer's side. "Landon, Landon, Landon!" he exclaimed, "oh my god boy, are you OK? Are you hurt?"
"I'm good, thanks Giorgi" Breer said, "I'm lucky Gretchen was there" he said, indicating towards Lisa.
"You?" the agent said, turning towards her, "what the fuck were you doing in his room?" he asked suspiciously.
The question annoyed Lisa. "Protecting him," she said simply. "When is the plane scheduled to leave?" she asked before he could say more.
"Plane? What plane?" Giorgio shot back.
"The plane to get you both out of here" Lisa answered, "If this attack is what we think it is, then you need to leave before they make another attempt".
"She's right Giorgi" Breer added, "they impersonated staff here, managed to get a machine gun upstairs. It's not...it's not safe. We need to pay off Arandawala and go".
"Woah woah Landon, nobody's going nowhere" Giorgio interjected, "we've got fucking commitments we need to make, we need to keep building the brand, we need to make you a fucking star. Nobody's going".
"Respectfully I think that's a mistake" Lisa said.
"Hey you stay out of this" the agent said, jabbing a finger in her direction, "your job is to fucking protect, not fucking talk".
Lisa bit her tongue but found herself increasingly disliking the man and his attitude. 'I am protecting' she thought, 'sometimes the best way to do that is get the fuck out of a place'. She was convinced the Black Dragon would try again.
"Look Landon, you got to stay else this becomes a thing. I can make the police thing go away but stay, do the tour, do the press, make it big, come on I tell you" Giorgio said, fixing his eyes on Breer.
"OK..." Breer said, but Lisa heard the hesitation in his voice, "but we have to settle the debt with the dragon. We have to".
"Leave all that to me" Giorgio said, "now come on, let me get you a new room, something better, it'll all be OK". He glared at Lisa again, "somewhere safer" he added as if Lisa had personally put his client in danger. "I'll sort it out now". He stood up and left the room, slamming the door as he did so.
Lisa waited for a few seconds before speaking. "You sure this is a good idea?" she asked Breer.
"I....I got to trust Giorgi" Breer said, but his voice betrayed that he was in no mood for trusting at all. "You really think they'll try again?"
"Probably" said Lisa. Her mind whirred for a solution but all it kept doing was settling on one she did not like. She looked over at the actor again and saw his crestfallen face. The evening came flooding back to her, the laughter, the joy, the pleasure.... "Unless" she said, half of her mind already cursing the other half as she said it, "unless we take a preemptive strike".
"On the Black Dragon?" he said, "what, like....attack him?"
'No Lisa, no' her inner voice was saying, 'don't be so stupid'. "You sure your agent will pay him?" she asked Breer.
"No," he said, shaking his head.
"Then it's time to take matters into our own hands" she said decisively. Something about the conversation with the agent had disturbed her and whilst she knew she had no obligations to do so, she felt like she wanted to help Breer. "You know how to shoot right?" she asked him.
"I've had lessons" he said, "but only with blanks and props".
"It's basically the same" Lisa said, "except a little more deadly". She walked over to her case, still asking herself why on earth she was doing this.
------
Lisa checked the pocket of the guard whose neck she had cut. Sure enough, there was a set of keys inside and she found the one that slipped into the back door they were guarding. There was a dull thud of music on the inside but around the alleyway where they were was quiet. The late hour had reduced the streets to only a few people around but even still Lisa took the time to hide the bodies under some garbage bags down the alley. They were outside the back entrance to a club and casino that Rihaan Arandawala operated. Lisa had found its details whilst Breer had got ready at the hotel. His presence carried some risk, but she knew it could be equally a mistake to leave him at the hotel.
She unlocked the door and opened it slowly, taking her gun out of her holster as she did so. It opened to a back corridor with some stairs going up and a door that seemed to lead towards the club, the music getting louder as Lisa moved towards it. She chose the stairs, edging up slowly, keeping her gun in her hand but out of sight so she just looked like a lost partygoer at first sight. Her intel suggested the building had a penthouse on the fifth floor where she was sure that the Black Dragon would be waiting. Breer climbed up to the second floor with her but she heard a noise before she climbed the next stairs. It was two voices chatting and descending, joking.
On instinct she pushed Breer against the wall and kissed him passionately, keeping both of their guns sandwiched between their bodies. The voices she heard became louder and seemed to make some comments but then ignored them and passed. As they did so, Lisa broke the embrace and raised her pistol towards the two men in shirts and carrying automatic weapons. Pfft-pfft, pfft-pfft. She shot them twice in the back and they grunted as they fell forwards. Pfft, pfft. She stepped forward and placed kill shots in both of their heads.
Breer still seemed taken aback by the force of her kiss but nodded at her when she pointed up. There was still further to go. They climbed some more stairs, the music from below becoming more faint as they reached the third floor. Lisa paused when they reached there. She heard more voices and she guessed that above them was maybe four, possibly five guards. 'Too many to shoot through' she thought, particularly when attacking from below. There was a door on this floor though and she signalled for Breer to follow her through it.
It led Lisa into a small corridor with red walls and black doors along each wall and at either end. There was the sound of jazz music playing softly and she guessed they were near the casino part of the complex. She looked up - there were several wires along the ceiling running into the room that was on her left. It was likely a security room and her suspicion was confirmed when she edged closer to the door and saw the word on it.
She directed Breer to stand on the other side of the door from her, giving him a look that left him in no doubts what their intention had to be. She counted down silently with her hands 3...2...1...and then opened the door with one hand, raising her pistol with the other. The room was darkened but glowing from the range of low technology monitors within it. Three men in suits sat in the room, two drinking from coffee cups, handguns on the desks in front of them. She found her aim and her finger worked on the trigger pfft-pfft, pfft-pfft, placing two shots into them. To her side, she heard another pfft, pfft as Breer shot the man on the other side of the room.
Lisa felt herself grin. There was something slightly exciting amongst the danger of the situation and Breer taking part just made it more surreal. She stepped into the room with him and closed the door behind them and walked over to the men she had shot, who had slumped forward on the desk and were trying to grab their guns. Pfft, pfft. She placed bullets into both of their heads and -pfft- did the same to the man that Landon had shot. It was a satisfying feeling.
"You...you really like this job?" Breer whispered to her.
"Like you wouldn't believe," she said. She felt in the moment and grabbed him for a long and passionate kiss before breaking it off and changing the magazine on her Sig. They looked at the array of monitors that seemed to show camera footage from the upper floors. Lisa took it all in quickly. "The elevator up there looks pretty guarded," she noted, seeing several men at both ends of it. "But look here" she pointed at another screen. "there's only one guy by this door". She pulled out her phone from the pocket of her leggings and looked at the blueprints she could find for the building. "There's a ladder from there to the penthouse balcony".
"OK" Breer said, "where's the Dragon?"
Lisa looked around the monitors but none showed the inside of his chambers. She shrugged. "I'm sure we can find him". She worked out the route amongst the corridors. "This way" she said, pointing at a door at the opposite end of the room. It led to a dull service corridor and Lisa jogged along it, taking a left at the end. Landon followed her, only stopping when she did, by another door that led to a stairwell. She signalled for him to open it and he nodded.
Her pistol was already raised and ready when Breer opened the door and she found the guard who she knew was standing there with ease. Pfft-pfft, pfft. She walked her shots up his chest and placed one in his head before he even had a chance to fall down. She kept moving, swinging the door he was standing by open and finding herself again with the humid air of the city on a balcony where a ladder was heading up to the roof.
"God, I love heights," Breer said, joining her and staring up at it. Lisa gave him a wink and tucked her gun back in her shoulder holster. She began to climb the ladder quickly, feeling her adrenaline rushing and wanting to get the mission completed before any of the bodies she had littered the club with were discovered. She slowed as she approached the top. She could see foliage on the roof and as she peered over the edge, found a beautiful roof garden that had been created, with several trees and trimmed hedges. A man in a blue shirt was patrolling the edge.
Lisa knocked on the edge of the balcony and ducked down. She waited until she could sense that the guard was above her, investigating the noise before she reached up, surprising him and using his forward-facing weight to hurl him over her head and down to the street below where he landed with a thud.
"Woah," Breer said quietly behind her, "that was like..."
"Something from one of your films?" she quipped before hoisting herself over the edge of the balcony, taking shelter behind a hedge and drawing her gun. The penthouse had dark exterior walls but large windows and Lisa could see inside it. The furnishings were a mix of red and black with a large desk by one wall. There were three men in black suits around the edge of the room, evidently Rihaan Arandawala's personal guards. She looked to see the Black Dragon himself. He had short jet black hair that was slicked back and a trimmed goatee. He was sitting on a high-backed chair in a crisp white shirt, talking to someone whose face was hidden.
"OK now what?" whispered Breer as he joined her. "We could snipe him through the window"
"No" Lisa said, "my guess is they're bulletproof". She needed some kind of entry and saw that two of the windows on one side were also doors that opened to the roof garden. She beckoned Breer to follow her and flatten himself against the wall of the penthouse next to her. She peered around through the window they were now next to and stopped in shock.
Getting up from the chair opposite Arandawala was Giorgio, Landon Breer's short and balding agent. He was shouting and she could hear him clearly. "It was one fucking girl! One fucking girl and you can't deal with her!"
"But you convinced him to stay?" the deep voice of Rihaan Arandawala growled back, "I lost good men over this incident"
"And I'm sorry for their loss, I really am" Giorigio retorted, "but we have to do this again tonight Rihaan. I've already got the insurance claim ready to file. He dies, we get $100 million".
Lisa swore in her head. Of course. It all made sense now. Giorgio would have a policy against Landon. No wonder he was keen for there to be less security and to keep him in the country. She looked at Breer, and her face betrayed her shock. He looked around the window himself.
"What the-" he exclaimed, but Lisa pulled him back.
"It's an insurance thing" she said, "Giorgio wants you dead so he can get the payout".
"No!" Breer said, unable to fully comprehend it.
"Just listen" she said, "I'm sorry Landon".
She maneuvered him so he could hear what was going on inside the room. "Look, it's suite 504 we moved him to. Send your men now, the cops will be gone, he's ripe for the taking" Giorgio was saying.
"I'll need compensation" Arandawala shot back, "it needs to now be a 75 - 25 split"
"What, because your men were too incompetent?" Giorgio argued, "50 - 50, as we agreed".
"You're asking for more resources, I require compensating for those resources" Arandawala snapped, "or you could always be a man and do this yourself?"
"What the fuck?" Landon said quietly, "that...that...". He looked broken. Lisa put her hand on his shoulder, still looking at ways to get in. Breer took a few seconds but turned to her. "How do we get in?"
"Tough to say," Lisa said, "it's pretty well covered. If I could lure them outside...."
"You need a distraction," Breer said. He stood up tall and looked resolute. "Just like in the movies eh?"
Lisa clocked what he was about to do. "No Landon, don't do anything stupid now. This isn't a fucking film".
"All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players" he said, giving her a smile. He kissed her passionately. "Just don't miss Gretchen". He handed her his pistol and walked confidently around the corner from their position and out into the middle of the outside garden. Lisa wasn't sure whether she admired his bravery or hated his stupidity as he stood facing the windows. She slunk down out of sight further. "Hey, Dragon!" he called, "did you miss me?"
There were shouts from inside the penthouse and she heard the glass doors sliding open. The three guards in the room ran outside, MP5 machine guns raised at Breer as they fanned out in front of him. "Wait!" came a shout from inside, and Lisa peered around the corner to see Arandawala slowly step outside. He had a bemused look on his face. "Well Mr Breer, so good of you to join us. We were just discussing you"
"Landon, I....what the fuck?" Giorgio said, emerging as well from the penthouse.
"You tried to kill me tonight Rihaan" Breer said, standing tall as if he was the hero in his own film, "now I've come here so we can settle this together, just you and me".
"An interesting proposition" Arandawala replied, still amused by the situation. "But why would I not just ask my men to shoot you right here and now?"
"Pride" he said, "you want the satisfaction all for yourself".
Arandawala took another step forward, and so did Giorgio. Lisa looked at the five men. They were now all in range.
"Maybe" the Black Dragon said, "but money brings enough satisfaction of it's own". He shouted an order to his guards and Lisa took her chance. She sprang from her position, both pistols raising at the guards. Pfft-pfft-pfft-pfft-pfft-pfft-pfft, pfft-pfft-pfft-pfft-pfft-pfft-pfft. She worked the trigger as quick as possible, emptying bullets into the three men in black suits. They cried out, dropping their guns as they did so. Arandawala had drawn his own pistol from behind his back but there was another shout as Landon Breer charged him, tackling him to the ground.
Lisa rounded on Giorgio the agent. "Shit!" he said, seeing the chaos in front of him. Pfft-pfft. She placed two low shots into his leg and he shouted in pain as he collapsed to the ground. "Ahh! My leg! My leg!" he called out. She ignored him and turned her attention to the guards, one of whom was reaching for him MP5. Pfft. A shot to his head finished him. Arandawla and Breer were rolling on the ground, the Dragon's pistol off to the side. She saw Arandawala land a punch to Breer's stomach and force him off, turning to the pistol and crawling towards it. She ran and kicked it away from his outstretched hand.
Arandawala looked up and into the barrels of Lisa's guns. She gave him a mischievous smile and he looked like he wanted to say something but her fingers started working both triggers and emptying the magazines, pfft-pfft-pfft-pfft, pfft-pfft-pfft-pfft, only stopping once they both clicked empty. The adrenaline rush was incredible for her as she looked down on the slain dragon, moaning a little for a few seconds.
She breathed deeply and went to help Breer get back to his feet. "That was a really dumb plan" she said as she did so.
"I mean...it worked?" Breer said, looking a little shy. "What happened to Giorgio?"
Lisa gestured over to where his agent was still writhing in pain on the floor. She handed Breer his gun. "I thought you'd want to decide what to do with him".
He took it and nodded, firstly changing the magazine as Lisa did with hers. He walked over to the stricken man.
"Hey Landon baby, let's talk about this OK? I was never going to let them hurt you, never, that's why I....that's why I...hey baby, I been there for you OK, all the time".
Breer looked over at Lisa, who simply shrugged. He turned back to Giorgio and raised his gun. Pfft-pfft. He squeezed off two rounds and Lisa saw the agent's head snap back and for once his constant talking stopped. Breer turned away from the body and walked to Lisa, a sad look in his eye.
"You OK?" she asked, taking his hand.
He nodded. "Let's just get out of here Gretchen".
Lisa nodded and opened a small pocket inside the front of her leggings. There were two high-strength ropes inside and she walked to the back of the roof garden, tying them on the balcony railings. She helped wrap one around himself before doing so to her own waist. She paused before climbing over the top. "Lisa" she said to him, "that's my name". She smiled at him.
They abseiled down together in silence, finishing at the back door where they had started their attack earlier in the evening. Lisa took Landon's hand and ran with him to a taxi, ditching their guns as they did so.
------
Two months later...
Lisa was perusing the entertainment section of the newspaper when a story caught her eye. It showed the smiling face of Landon Breer next to the director Sarah Howard as they announced their partnership on a series of films. He had already been cast in her latest work but he was already teasing something that he had written himself. "I can't say much" he said, "but it's about an assassin with compassion, with style and with love". Lisa chuckled. She had not spoken to Landon Breer since they kissed goodbye on the runway in Colombo a few hours after their attack, and she knew they would never do so again. The dalliance had been brief and fun but as they said goodbye, there was an understanding between them that things had to end as soon as they had started.
She had been as coy as possible when discussing the situation with her contact. "Well, I did save him" she said, referring to the attack in the hotel, "and as for what happened at Arandawala's club, well....I guess there was some sort of gang argument, maybe after his agent turned up". She did not offer more details about what involvement she and Landon had.
She continued to read the article in the paper. Breer had offered a name as a working title to the work he was writing. It was to be called 'Lisa'.

His Dollar biwi – Rihaan SS by Tanya (Part 3)
Taking slow steps towards his destination, Vihaan reached to Riddhima’s ward. Inktober 20: Coral
Underwater was a world Rihaanyaki had never seen the like of. She had orbited above gas giants, she had seen rings spinning around vast planets, she’d been to one of the Diwar ringworlds, she’d walked on the surface of a dozen alien worlds… but the coral reef was beautiful and alien beyond anything she’d ever seen.
Kai, unlike most kai-formed creatures, could see a range of colors that went as low as infrared and as high as the range humans called “blue”. What she was seeing was very close to what humans saw. There was nothing useful in the infrared down here – all the living creatures she could see were poikilotherms, creatures whose temperature was the same as their environment – but literally every other color lay out all around her in profusion.
The coral protrusions from the reef were so delicate. Rihaanyaki reached out a paw to touch one, before she remembered that her diving instructor had told her not to do that, that it might kill some of the tiny creatures who made the coral.
There were coral medallions shaped like flowers, and coral shaped like a sapient mammal’s brain, and protrusions that looked like bones or tree branches, but in wild colors no bones or tree branches had ever been. Blue and green and red and yellow in all sorts of combinations. And the fish! Everywhere there were fish, moving constantly, leaving contrails across her vision. Kai-formed creatures were optimized to see movement; everything that moved in a way she didn’t expect brightened in her vision, and everything around her was moving in patterns she didn’t understand and couldn’t predict.
Her ear bud crackled. “Rihaan, you doing ok down there?”
“It’s so beautiful,” she said into the microphone in her mask. “I’ve never seen anything like it. Do you think maybe there are similar things in the oceans of Mreh’gai?”
“I don’t know anything about other planets; never been off Earth,” her instructor said.
“Oh.” That was too bad. She wanted to go diving in the oceans of Mreh’gai, and see what might be in there. The Kai had never explored the depths of their own oceans; they sailed, and caught fish, but most Kai hated being wet. The very few like Rihaanyaki who loved the water had never been numerous enough to develop diving technology. Her diving instructor had barely been able to believe that a Kai would want to learn to scuba dive.
“Am I allowed to catch the fish?” she asked.
“We’d really prefer you didn’t. We’ve got other places where you can dive to catch fish, but this is a protected area. You can look, but please don’t touch.”
“All right,” she said. “We have amusement parks at home where the trick is to sit on a bridge and catch fish, but  the rules don’t say you can’t jump in the pool.”
“Up north they’ve got streams where you can catch fish by hand if you want, but they’re cold; can you handle that?”
She huffed with laughter. “I have fur! If humans can do it, so can I!”
“Yeah, but you can’t take off your fur if you get it saturated with ice cold water.”
“That is what a drying booth is for.”
The water here was warm; coral reefs grew in the tropics on Earth. Rihaanyaki was wearing a full-body diving suit and flippers on her lower paws, but her upper paws were mostly bare, and the water flowing through her fur felt pleasant.
“Your air tank’s got about five minutes left. You want to come back up?”
“I don’t want to leave. The coral reef is so beautiful. I wish I could live here.”
“Well, you can’t breathe water, so that’s not going to work out, but you could choose to live in a tropical area like this one, near a beach.”
“I would like to,” she admitted. Her coat would thin out in this heat and she’d have to work to stay hydrated, but Kai had lived in much harsher conditions. “I’m not sure how I would get a job on Earth, though.”
“This place is a tourist trap. Someone’s gonna want to hire a cat waitress or cashier for the novelty of it. You’ll bring custom in just by being a Kai, and then they’ll look around the shop and maybe buy something after they gawk at you.”
Rihaanyaki wasn’t sure how much she wanted to be gawked at, but on the other hand, her tourist visa expired in two weeks, and to get it extended, she’d need a job and an affidavit from the employer that the job couldn’t be done by a human, which… did suggest trading on the novelty of her appearance. She didn’t think she was as trained as she wanted to be – she hadn’t done a single deep-sea dive yet – and she knew, just from this swim now, that she wanted to be near beautiful underwater worlds like this for the rest of her life.
“Could I work here? At the scuba equipment store?”
“No, I don’t get much of a boost from having a Kai in the store, but you wanna know what, right across the street there’s a beach-themed gift and novelty shop. They got shells, hermit crabs, all kinds of stuff like that. You go there, I bet they might think it’s a great idea to have a salesperson on staff who’s an alien. And it’d be kind of crazy to have it be a cat alien, we already know the dinosaurs and the elephant horses like water fine but when you think beach, no one thinks Kai.”
“Dinosaurs” was a slang term for the Diwar, who bore a resemblance to a ground-dwelling bird that humans kept as livestock, creatures that supposedly had evolved from far more ancient creatures called dinosaurs. But “elephant horses” was new. “Who are the elephant horses?”
“Oh, that’s the Purundi. They’re the size of creatures here on Earth we used to ride for transportation once, called horses, but they’ve got trunks like elephants, which are huge. So, elephant-horses.”
It seemed a little reductive to Rihaanyaki to try to relate every species in the galaxy to the species on one’s own home planet, but then, humans had not had space travel very long. “Is there anything here I can touch?”
“No, but you can take pictures.”
“I don’t see the point. Pictures already exist.” Humans had extensive photography of their coral reefs. Some of the pictures were even taken with film that could capture the color range Kai could see and humans couldn’t. Rihaanyaki wasn’t a good enough photographer to add her own to that body.
“Yeah, but they’re not of the things you, yourself, saw. Photos can be just to look at something, or they can be to record memories.”
“I will never forget this coral reef, trust me.”
Her time was up. She could feel the oxygen getting stale. Mr. Kale’s voice reminded her of this. “Ok. Tank’s almost gone. Time to come up, Rihaan.”
Rihaanyaki took a last, regretful look around at the coral reef. She hated to leave… but her oxygen was definitely running out, and there would always be tomorrow. She was here for at least another two weeks. There was time for many more dives, still.

“Wait, you can’t be serious, Rihaan!”
“I am serious. Someone needs to keep Ace out of trouble.”
“And it has to be me? I want to fight with you. I want to fight with Sabah!”
“Stay here, Holika. You need to protect Bir’alloth. And my sister.”
Holika huffed as she left the room, fists clenched tightly. She was grand general. She should be fighting Asmodeus alongside her queen, alongside her family. Not babysitting a spoiled princess. But...she did suppose Bir’alloth couldn’t be left defenseless. Someone had to stay behind. She just wasn’t happy it had to be her.
She made her way to the room where Ace was, sighing as she entered. “Your Highness, Rihaa-- Sidonai has left. He’s instructed that I keep you under my care. The battle is extremely dangerous and...” What was a good way to ensure she didn’t run off? “He’s entrusted Bir’alloth to the pair of us. To protect.”

Log ladte hai milne ki khaatir Par apni toh bichhadh jaane ki ladaai thi.  Jeet mili hum dono ko bas,  Bas aasun ki kamaayi thi.
Tum panchhi the, aur mein thi machhali, Hum dono ki alag thi duniya, Alag zubaan, aur alag jahan. Sab kehete the hum dono ka iss Duniya mein mel kahan. Par bhool nahi paaungi woh lamha jab, Tumne dil ki dhadhkane sunaayi thi. Log ladte hai milne ki khaatir, Par apni toh bichhadh jaane ki ladaai thi.
Yeh bichhadna milna hi toh shaayad mohabbat hai, Apne pyaar ko woh de dena jiski usse zaroorat hai. Hum dono the kaid kahin, apni samajh ki salaankho mein, Tumne aisa rihaan kiya, Khud azaadi sharmaayi thi. Log ladte hai milne ki kaatir, Par apni toh bichhadh jaane ki ladaai thi.
Milenge hum yeh vada hai, Roz raat ko chaand ke zariye. Mein bhejungi pegaam tumhe iss beheti hui Hawa ke zariye. Saath rahenge soch mein dono, Naazuk naazuk yaadon mein. Mein kahungi mujhko mila tha paagal, Jisne zindagi sikhaayi thi. Tum kehna sab se, ek ziddi padosan Apne ghar bhi aayi thi.
Chalo bohot hua, ab chup rahungi. Chuppi mein mazmoon hai zyada. Tum jaisa banna kahungi sabko, Bas itna hi mera vada. Isse zyada kahungi kuchh, Toh phoot padegi rulaayi bhi. Log ladte hai milne ki khaatir, Par apni toh bhichhadh jaane ki ladaai thi.

Headcanon: Heritage
Sidonai has a complex relationship with his mother’s side of the family. He has only met his Basmur relatives as a very young child, around age 2, and has no recollection of them. He knows he has family in Brakhava but often chooses to brush it off, mostly because they’re not relevant to him, and it allows him to fight better against Brakhavan forces.
He first truly met his family as an adult after rescuing his mother. While journeying through Brakhava with his party, he was ambushed as the group separated by Holika Basmur, the grand general of Brakhava and Sidonai’s second cousin. She took him and Terrance back to their homeland, with the intent to execute the prince for his crimes against their country and their family. However, she was stopped at the last moment by Sabrael, who had arrived there with Kaelon. Once realizing the prince meant to make amends, the others backed off from him, albeit reluctantly. Shortly after, he and Sabrael met his grandparents, who were wary, but eager to accept.
Sidonai’s ultimate goal was to usurp his father’s throne and end the war with Brakhava. During his time with the Basmur clan, he was taught about his family’s culture, about Brakhava, and studied kalaripayattu under both his mother and his grandmother, Homai. He felt like a bit of an outsider while around his family, but they soon came to accept him as one of their own, after seeing his dedication towards peace and justice for Brakhava. He was offered a kurta pyjama that was commissioned by his grandfather, Moloch, specifically for him. His family gave him a Basmur name, Rihaan (meaning ‘prince’ and ‘destroyer of enemies’), which they used for him affectionately. Sidonai soon took on the Basmur surname for himself and continues to use it for himself, and has even given it to his own son, Liran.

His Dollar biwi - Rihaan SS by Tanya (Part 2)
His Dollar biwi – Rihaan SS by Tanya (Part 2)
It’s been an hour since Riddhima didn’t came out from her room and had locked herself in the room. And here vihaan was being restless for her safety what if she hurt herself. Thinking this he didn’t wasted a single second and ran towards her room which was locked from inside. Breaking the door he entered inside only to see silence and emptiness. Which scared him for her more. Just then he heard…
