Sometimes I wonder how Chaewon has to look back on all of her choices that led her to her current path. Isn't it ironic how the same hands that used to heal and soothe, now are bruised and caked with blood? I feel like it'll hit her especially hard after a particularly rough cleansing ceremony she has to officiate. What would her past self think, if she knew this is how she would end up? Anyways, Love Me Dead by Ludo is such a Chaewon song.

part 1

you find yourself sitting across from rika. this time there’s a smile plastered on your face while a smirk rested on rika’s.

“you aced the exam once again. now, let’s see if you can defeat me in a battle.”

entering the next room, you and rika take your places at the opposite ends of the court.

“i’m not losing this time,” you say, pulling your first team member’s pokeball off of your belt.

“that’s a shame, because i don’t plan on losing either~,” rika pulls her whiscash’s pokeball off of her belt.

you both release your pokémon, and your battle begins.

rika’s clodsire slumps over in defeat. she returns her partner to their pokeball and makes long strides over to you.

the elite four member takes your hand in hers, giving you a congratulatory handshake, “that’s was impressive. i knew you could do it.”

“will you let me take you out then?” you look at her shyly.

“of course, i’ll come pick you up from your place at eight?” she winks at you to which you can only nod. “poppy, you’re up next!”

the aforementioned elite four member makes her way through the doors.

“you lost rika? don’t worry i’ll take revenge on you,” she smiles.

“revenge for me,” rika chuckles, taking her place in the sidelines. “crush them for me poppy.”

hours later, after defeating the pokemon league, you hear your doorbell ring.

rika smiles, coincidentally offering you a bouquet of your favorite flowers, “i hope these are okay.”

you take the flowers from your date, offering her a nervous smile, “they’re perfect. you can come in. i just need a few extra minutes”

“you already look amazing, but take your time.” rika enters your home, making her way to the living room.

you quickly place the flowers in a vase and make your way into the bathroom, finishing up your appearance. rika examines the photos on your wall, smiling at a picture of you with one of the pokémon you freshly hatched.

“sorry about that,” you walk out of the bathroom and make your way over to rika.

she kisses your temple, “don’t worry about it. let’s get going.”

rika takes your hand and you both make your way out of your apartment. she calls a flying taxi for the both of you.

your date opens the door for you, making sure you’re comfortable before sliding in next to you, “to artazon please,” she tells the cabbie.

“you had this planned out?” you turn to your date.

she chuckles, “i’ve had this planned since you left the league the first time.”

the cab lifts off the ground, causing you to scoot a bit closer to rika.

“you’re not afraid of heights, are you?” she wraps an arm around you, a teasing smile resting on her lips. “don’t worry, i’ve got you~”
