Nathan has a few lines of work: burglary, information gathering, sabotage, smuggling, the rare hit job. All of them have a few things in common. They require a quiet approach, a soft but deliberate touch, and a lot of patience. If he's not waiting for an opening, he's waiting on the client at their meeting point. He never faults them for caution, though. They didn't exactly hire him to have anything legal accomplished.

Nathan figured out pretty young that his eyes were drawn to boys rather than girls; a realization that, while unexpected at that time in his life, was ultimately unsurprising. He's never questioned his feelings since, only growing more secure in his preferences as he got older. And with a husband like his, he could never be happier.

Maybe it's her own harsh edges seeking something softer, maybe it's from growing up surrounded by men. Maybe there's no explanation to it at all, it's simply who she is. But Victory has always been more inclined toward women, for as long as she can remember caring at all. There are girlfriends who have come and gone over the years; all very different from one another, all varying degrees of masculine and feminine. The one thing that's always stayed true, though, is that Victory loved them all.
