In the Stranger Things comic Rise of Hellfire

Has already had his handcuff belt in 1978

Also already has his battle vest with the Dio patch on the back

Has short but not shaved hair in 1978

Did not know anything about D&D prior to 1978 ( his freshman year)

Got roped into trying out the game with the original nerd's club by Ronnie

Thinks it is some "dorky ass after school acting club"

Being faced with the pencil and paper and numbers reality of the game he calls it a "math actors' club"

The bycicle he uses is old was tossed by someone

His first character is Relgar the Bloodied, a half-orc

He wanted to play a characther that "kicks ass"

Reading the new Stranger Things and Dungeons & Dragons: Rise of Hellfire comic (perks of working at my local comic book store) and this frame made me giddy. This book is absolutely wonderful.

SPOILERS BELOW FOR RISE OF HELLFIRE

I spoilered myself with the whole Rise of Hellfire comic, and because I’m fucking delusional, decided to ship Eddie’s DnD OC with my DnD OC.

I am also hella obsessed with the instrumental version of Muzan’s Infinity Castle, as well as Zenitsu’s little moves when he grabs his sword and locks in. That scene basically inspired this whole idea of them falling together.

So I’m thinking Eddie’s half orc barbarian Relgar would make a great husband for Allie’s half elf illusionist wizard Indil (who also happens to be my dark urge in Baldur’s Gate 3). This is a little scene I’ve had in my mind for a hot minute about them during a campaign, so far just a messy ass work in progress.

I’ll most certainly post the completed picture at another point in time. For now, enjoy some DnD art.

In light of this panel from the Stranger Things The Rise of Hellfire Comic #1, I feel obliged to share a snippet of Chapter 12 of Aftermath that I completed around September last year and never posted because I wanted to go back and reedit. I know I don't owe that to anyone or need to prove myself but for my own peace of mind here it is. Calling myself out because the document was last opened in October 2024. 😅

Aftermath Chapter 12 Snippet

“You know it’s a shame you can’t talk.” Dustin said bluntly, directly to Eddie. 

“Dustin!” Max hissed, being ignored as he continued on.

“I have questions about how Vecna managed to escape death in the first place.” He said, arms crossed over his chest as Eddie stared at him unblinking, grateful not for the first time that his words had left him.

“Hey yeah…” Mike said after a second of thought. “I thought Cas left him locke-” 

“He did!” Dustin gasped, pointing first at Mike and then at Eddie as the older man stared back at him wide eyed.

Eddie shrugged dramatically, trying not to wince at the motion as Lucas piped up.

“Well he is a wizard.”

Eddie nodded quickly, pointing to Lucas and then tapping his nose with his index finger.

Yes, he was.

That was probably how he did it.

Eddie had no clue. 

He had come up with a shadow of a plan during his original draft and left the paragraphs unwritten after that. A single note occupying the space where he was meant to explain. 

‘Figure out later.’

The irony that he had forgotten he did that was contrasted heavily against the fact that he would never forget when, or why he wrote it.

Because his friend Sean had arrived on his doorstep to take him to a party. 

The party where he’d met Karmen. 

He was a little busy for the next year or so.

He was grateful that his past self had pulled his weight for once and done all the work to plan out the campaign before he needed it so that he could focus on his school work. 

Before he met Karmen and his determination to graduate, as well as his freetime, decreased significantly. 

He hadn’t realized he’d fucked up until he revisited the plan the week before the last session. He had decided not to think about it too hard. 

Was banking on the fact that everyone would be so excited for the reveal that they didn’t ask questions before they moved onto the next campaign.

He would have gotten away with it too. If it wasn’t for…

Ironically. 

Eddie hoped that his own lack of planning wasn’t indicative of the real world and what was to come for them.

Hey OP, I think the comics may be resolving this plot point! When the next issues of Rise of Hellfire come out, we may know more about what they told Will and if he was involved

Still thinking about how Will wanted to play DND so much in season 3 and begged Mike and Lucas to play and they didn't because "we're not kids anymore" but then they join Hellfire not even a few months later.

Honestly, just for Will's emotional state, I hope he doesn't find out, because I fear that would be the start of his villain era
