I wanted to sit outside and read, but couldn’t because it was raining and I and my book would get absolutely soaked. I was really upset about it because I was looking forward to reading there…
Just as I’m sulking, River walks outside and makes a dish of water above his head, almost like an umbrella! It absorbed the raindrops from above, and he allowed me to walk to my sheltered reading spot without getting wet!!!
He’s so smart!!! Even knowing his amazing water abilities, I would have never thought of that!!!
Now, both my Pokemon friends and I are sitting outside. I’m reading with a cup of tea, Callister is sitting next to me - he’s curious about the pictures in my book - and River is nearby sitting in the rain. Pokemon never stop making me happy!!!! 💙💙💙

It makes me so sad when people say inteleon is ugly. My baby boy River is ADORABLE to me! He’s so affectionate for his species, and actually really loves leaning against me and tolerates the occasional hug as well- he’s even initiated it a few times when I’ve had a really rough day! He’s so precious to me, and it makes me sad when people say I should have got him an everstone when he was a Sobble- my vet said he would be fine to evolve, and I know he’s the only one I should listen to, but it’s so rude to insult someone’s partner Pokémon :(
aw man, i'm sorry to hear that. people can be super rude about pokemon they don't like. i have people tell me pidove are dumb all the time.
it's hard in the face of negativity, but i like to try and spread information about the positive aspects of these pokemon when people are being negative about someone's partner. like, consider how incredible inteleon's eyesight is! a specialized lens in their eyes gives them the ability to focus on targets miles away. not only that, but they process visual input WAY faster than we do- they can see things moving at about 3 times the speed humans can! they need to be able to see and act that fast to strike a moving target across a large distance. you'd think a pokemon like that would have a super high metabolism and be really energetic, like a yanma...but they love naps lol. theyre neat pokemon, and your partner sounds like a great companion!

-- Hoenn Arc II: Traveling (3)
Tumblr media
Arriving on the route leading up to Rustburo City, the family were greeted by a beautiful, clear river as well as the ability to battle some local trainers visiting the area and to study the pokemon -- or in this case, play with them in Willow's attempt at chasing after Volbeat and Illumise which reminded her all too much of home.
That being said, the following morning they made the trek to Rustboro City and after booking a room at the pokemon center, spent the day going through and exploring said city. It wasn't until the day after that Leon was able to snag a battle with the local Gym Leader, Roxanne, a rock-type specialist.
A three on three battle was issued with Leon opting for James, Cavall, and Celeste to take to the field for this fight. The first battle was against her Golem, and thus Celeste was chosen. The battle was fairly intense, but was an easy victory for Celeste who gave a thumbs up to a cheering Larvae and Willow.
The next pokemon sent out was her Aggron. A bulky and massive beast of a pokemon that had Leon grinning to himself. Celeste was quick and fast to deal damage but in the end, she found herself knocked out with said Aggron due to its defenses. Thanking her for her trouble, Leon was prepared for the rock-type specialist's ace in Probopass by sending out his Inteleon.
James found the battle boring, but that didn't stop him from putting on quite the show as well as while taking heavy damage, was able to stand perfectly well against the Probopass' onslaught, winning his trainer the second badge of Hoenn. Upon receiving it, Willow and Ashe were treated by Roxanne to a tour of her fossil collection as well as Willow being taught about some of the fossils of Hoenn.
Overall, an educational and fun experience, but not before Leon and his family were pointed towards the routes just above Rustboro City where they'd be treated to some wild pokemon and some battles which Leon was all too keen to experience.
---
Leon's Status: Decidueye (Alolan / Celeste), Armarouge (Bedivere), James (Inteleon), Lancelot (Luxray), Lycanroc (Midday / Cavall), Urshifu (Miyagi). -- 2 badges
Ashe's Status: Sylveon (Lucky), Garchomp (Kumiko).
Willow's Status: Larvesta (Larvae).

“You Gigantimaxed! The soup really worked, just like Mama Honey and Master Mustard said! That’s so cool! Look at how cool you are Riviera!”
Riviera, often times would prefer if his trainer weren’t so touchy feely, and yet...
He smiles, more than proud of himself as she hugs him tight.
Proud of her, too.
It’s almost enough to make a grown lizard cry...
Almost.

2020 Critmas Fic Day 25
Take a Chance…Catch ‘Em all (CR C2/Pokemon Crossover Ficlet)
-
It’d certainly been a turbulent Pokemon Challenge season, leaving many convinced the Wildemount Pokemon League Championship would have to be called off (reigniting the debate about whether the Menagerie, Dwendalian, and Xhorhas regions ought to separate out with their own regional leagues, given the near-constant tension and strife between them), but peace had been secured (for the moment) and the biggest tournament of the year was about to commence.
Seven entrants in particular were creating quite a stir during the tournament lead-up and opening ceremonies—as they had since emerging from seemingly nowhere early in the season. To some, they were nuisances, to others, heroes, still others saw them as loose cannons, but all could agree that they were powerful trainers with loaded teams. (Seriously, how did they get into the kind of shenanigans that ended with each of them having a Legendary Pokemon anchoring their teams, along with the now-standard Mega-Evolving or Gigantimaxing Pokemon?)
They’d traveled as a team; they’d trained as a team; they’d triumphed as a team—perhaps the only thing giving anyone else a chance in the tournament was that hey could not compete as a team, but would have to stand on their own. (But then again, each on their own was a force to be reckoned with for sure…)
There was Veth, who seemed to sing rapidly between ‘Team Mom’ and ‘Trouble-Maker-In Chief’, and her eclectic team: Buttons, her Klefki was her oldest partner; Whiskey, her Spinda was unpredictable—useful in a pinch, but he caused nearly as much trouble as he prevented; her Thievul, Rogue, made up for a lack of brute power with her blinding speed; River, the Gigantimaxing Lapras, seemed to make even her own trainer wary; likewise, Nott, the Sableye, had taken a long time for Veth to come to terms with, to work with; and the Legendary Zapdos, Motherhood, dared anyone to even think of messing with her family—blood or no.
Caleb had been traveling with Veth long before they’d met up with the other five of the Nein, and his Delphox, Wizard, had been with him even longer, as had his Mega-Evolving Blaziken, Fireball. Frumpkin, the Meowstic, had been the next, beloved, addition to the team, followed a little later by the Gigalith, Transmuter’s Stone. As a battler, Caleb was well-known for his creative tactics when employing Polymorph, his Ditto, but speculation abounded regarding how he’d come to have Atonement, the Legendary Shaymin, on his team. (Truthfully, even he could not say—though he’d sought it for so long.)
There was some debate and discussion of whether Beau was officially affiliated with the Ioun Academy for Trainers or not—at first, she’d seemed to be a runaway student, but now she appeared to occasionally be running missions for them as a kind of faculty member—but there was no denying that she was a skilled battler and a keen strategist. Her first partner had been a Snivy (now Serperior), the iconic Pokemon of her family, named Lionett. They two had struggled to work together at first (apparently), but they had come to develop a style that was uniquely theirs, unconnected to her family, and in that, partner and trainer had found their bond. Likewise, Monk, her Mienshao, and Cobalt Soul, her Mega-Evolving Lucario, had taken some getting used to as she navigated her relationship with the Academy. All she would say about her acquisition of Tarot the Xatu was that he was ‘a gift from a friend’; while her back-and-forth sniping with her Noctowl, Professor Thaddeus somehow (no one watching from the outside could quite say how) led to a decent win record for them. And guarding them all as Beau guarded her friends’ happiness and well-being was Sentinel, the legendary Zamazenta.
The bubbly trainer from Nicodranas, Jester, had quite the varied team that leant itself to a very unorthodox battle style. Trickery, her Mega-Evolving Banette, seemed quite the dark and spooky partner for someone so fond of pink and pastries, while Ruby, the Ninetails, had all the elegance and grandeur of her namesake. The Inteleon, Gentleman, was a recent addition, but kept a narrowed eye on anyone that got too close to his precious trainer; while many marveled that such a battered- and haggard-looking Zangoose as Sprinkle was still alive, much less still following his trainer’s coaching. While many dismissed Smeargle as a ‘gimmicky’ Pokemon, Jester proved time and again that her Paints could be useful if only one was clever…as clever, say, as the Legendary Hoopah, her beloved Traveler….
There was one other trainer from the Menagerie Region: Fjord, originally from Port Damali, whose own diverse team marked quite the convolute path he’d taken to get to where he stood now. He’d started after receiving Warlock, his Malamar from unknown sources—and it was that mystery that’d set him on this journey. Along the search for answers, he’d found Crystal, the strange Carbink, and Uk’otoa, the menacing Spiritomb, in short order. But whatever he’d learned seemed not so satisfy what he’d truly been looking for and, after adding his disciplined Kingdra, Captain, he seemed to change track altogether with his Mega-Evolving Kangaskhan, Paladin, and the Legendary Zacian, Star Razor. But whatever had prompted the changes, there was no denying the comfort and confidence he now battled with.
Caduceus originally hailed from outside of the three regions, and had joined the others after an unexpected confrontation with an Evil team had turned deadly, early on. He’d come to their aid, then come along, with his gentle Meganium, Cleric, Graveyard, his deceptively-spooky Trevenant, and his Polteageist with the on-the-nose-name of ‘Tea’ (apparently it was an old family joke?). Speaking of the rest of his family, he had been using this journey, at least in part, as a means of finding what had become of them, finding Decompose, his Shiinotic, and Gorgon, the Gigantimaxing Copperajah, and finally his parents, aunt, and siblings—thankfully alive and (now) safe. All the while, guiding, guarding, and anchoring his team was the Legendary Lugia he called Melora with warmth and reverence.
Yasha, the one member of the group from the Xhorhas Region, (if the wilder, southernmost part of it), was an undeniably intimidating sight—as were her first two partners: Barbarian, her Mega-Evolving Garachomp, and Orhpanmaker, her foul-tempered Hydreigon. But there was a softer, gentle side to the woman as well, clearly demonstrated in her tender care for the Comfey she called Zuala with an odd, sad smile. Bone Harp, her music-loving Alolan Marowak perhaps best embodied the duality of his trainer, even as Angel Wings, the Togekiss, best exemplified the hope and the light that she strove for, despite her painful past. But less any opponent be tempted to forget the sheer power at her command, the team was anchored by Strom Lord, the Legendary Zekrom.
Yes, the Mighty Nein (as they were called for reasons no one in the watching crowd fully understood) were certainly the center of attention as the opening ceremony of the tournament unfolded—stories of their convoluted and dangerous journey to this point had spread on ahead of them, even ridiculous rumors that they’d single-handedly stopped the latest war and brought peace to the regions; and many were curious to see what they could muster as solo battlers, rather than the unit that they had operate as for so many of their adventures. Then, the final entrant of the tournament was introduced and his team revealed, and a ripple went though the stadium crowd and home audience alike—could this contender be the one who could upset what had looked to be a sure sweep for the Nein?
He was introduced simply as ‘Matt’, but there was nothing simple about his team: Pumat the Oranguru was a formidable tank; Kiri the Chatot hid some surprising tricks while her gimmick distracted attention; his Gigantimaxing Drednaw, Orly, was fearsome in battle despite a generally friendly disposition; crowd-favorite Essek, the Weavile, was no above using shady tactics where necessary, while Yussa, his Kommo-o tended to rely more on overwhelming power. But a pall hung over the arena as his own Legendary was revealed—what did it mean that he had a Guzzlord, and why was it called ‘The Eyes of Nine’?
As the ceremony drew to a close, one man turned away form the large screen outside of the stadium—he’d seen as much as he needed to, what he’d come to see. He looked to his own team of three—found along a path of a life anything but simple: Bloodhunter, the Grimmsnarl whose terrifying appearance belied a selfless heart; the colorful and fun-loving Oricorio, Carnival; and the solemn Chandelure he called Death while still smiling). Mollymauk nodded to the three of them with a friendly wink as they made their way from the stadium.
“Don’t they all look impressive now? Hardly recognize ‘em. Let’s put old Luci down once and for all and heave a heartfelt reunion—Whatdya say?”

I told River we would go out training today, but I had a super long nap and now my brain is all fried so I forgot... and I'm laying here in bed trying to get to sleep and I'm awoken by River poking me, trying to convince me to still take him out... it is almost 10pm and I'm half conscious, buddy...
But I really can't blame him...when someone tells me we're gonna do something and then they don't, I get pretty cranky too... so maybe I should do it anyway...

I personally felt a bit unsatisfied with a lot of Pokémon designs in all of the generations, more prevalently in the new starters. So, I decided to try my hand at redesigning them! However, I am not in anyway saying that this is objectively better or that the original design is bad, just off in a few ways. These are my own personal thoughts and ideas purely made for entertainment and fun. For the Inteleon line, I personally liked it the most (I played with a Sobble), but felt that the body was still too anthro and the colors too saturated. Most importantly, there is a lack of cohesion between the evolution stages. Other Pokémon have this issue as well and I do plan on drawing them. However, to keep my focus on Inteleon, I decided to not only make the colors more connected but also an overall tear-drop shape in the body. Sobble: This shy Pokémon always looks so lonely and tearful, hiding in the reeds of lochs and rivers. Sobble had an awkward weight distribution with his head that I had to fix in my design. As well as a general feeling of mediocrity. He never looked like a Pokémon to me, just a blue, sad chameleon.   Drizzile: Drizziles have a pension for a dreary attitude, often moping about and messing with its overgrown frills. Drizzile suffered from similar issues as Sobble along with its lack of connection to its baby form. But out of all the forms, I hated the colors on it the most. Especially the purple in its frill that appears and disappears just as fast. Inteleon: This confident 'mon examines the emotions of the opposing Pokémon in order to determine the right strategy to take it down. As stated before, I enjoy the design of Inteleon, flaws and all. But I still think that it needs to be more animalistic and less human. I tried my best to keep the suave 007 spy vibes while making him a Pokémon. I never noticed until starting, but its eye color was completely different from sobble's. I think the lack of eye color in Drizzile helped this fact slip by me before. I gave Sobble Inteleon's eyes to fix this. Moreover, I thought Inteleon needed more frills and less human hands. Mine are a bit off from what I wanted though.

There is only an endless void around.
“Some people thought of you as the devil.”
A child Oliver sits on the ground looking over to someone.
“However I knew better.”
The person he was looking at was a younger Aichi with his back turned. His face was hidden though tears trailing down his cheeks were visible.
“I knew that in reality you were kinder than anyone.”
The young Oliver got up and approached Aichi.
“You simply wouldn’t let your enemies see it.”
The young Aichi briefly looked over to Olivier acknowledging his presence. Olivier put a comforting hand on Aichi’s shoulder.
“You had the burden of a great destiny. One that far exceeded me or anyone else. However I wasn’t envious in the slightest. I knew it was tough for you extremely tough especially with your kind heart.”
The young Aichi walks forward as he does; he seems to grow older. His clothes changed from his attire as a kid. He now wore a long black general-like coat lined with red. The side of the shoulders had a yellow part hanging off. Underneath was some sort of white zipped up top. He wore grey pants and long white boots. He had a belt similar to his father’s with a red A.
“I decided I wanted to be by your side. I wanted to protect you and aid you .”
The young Oliver followed Aichi, also growing older and wearing the same clothes as his current self.
“Conquering others. Subjugating nations. Bringing the world to your feet. Guiding the world. That is what it means to be the messiah. The world may consider you a devil. But I consider you as what you truly are. You will do what needs to be done even if the world curses you as a demon. You are the true messiah who brought peace to the world.”
Olivier vision got blurry and he swayed. He held out his hand desperately out to Aichi as he got further away.
“So why…?”
“Why?”
“Why have you betrayed Team Asteroid? You were more loyal to Team Asteroid than anyone else?!”
Oliver blinks looking around feeling confused. His vision started to become clearer as it did he noticed the pungent scent of smoke everywhere. He noticed his feet were moving as despite his state as if he wasn’t really there and simply reliving a memory. He walked by the side of Aichi in the same attire he was wearing before. The land around them was scarred and billowing with smoke. Once radiant gold buildings had been tarnished in the destruction. The once magnificent structures were now nothing more than rubble. Even the grandiose statue of Arceus was not unscathed. He could make out a stronghold which they seemed to be heading to. You could tell that the building was a bit worse for wear.
Oliver wanted to reach out and speak to Aichi beside him like when he had finally reunited with him. Aichi’s eyes were trained forward as straight as an arrow towards the stronghold. He felt completely different then from when he met him before or even when they were kids. No trace of weakness shown in his expression. He was completely focused on the objective in front of him like a good soldier.
Various elemental attacks shot at them. He felt like jumping, but his body didn’t move. Aichi didn’t seem alarmed in the slightest. They continued to walk forward unfettered to his shock. He noticed a psychic barrier had formed around them. Tons of smoke blocked his vision as they were continuously bombarded with attacks. After a few minutes the attacks ceased.
“Haha! We did it”, one of the people in the stronghold said.
“Those demons must be dead, not even a legendary can survive such an attack!”, another gloated.
Underneath the cover of smoke Oliver saw Aichi’s expression shift to amusement. Aichi continued to walk forward before in an instant he seemed to vanish. The smoke cleared from his vision and the barrier still remained. Aichi stood behind the soldiers holding their general in one hand casually. The general was sweating rivers of sweat and shaked. The soldiers gasped, turning to Aichi and their Pokémon faced him. The general seemed to be struggling to breathe possibly due to the effects of Aichi’s aura like what happened in Hammerlocke caste.
“Guess who?”, Aichi said with amusement.
You could see the general’s hair turning white from all of the stress. His heart beating loudly against his chest and sweating rivers of sweat.
“P-put h-him down!”, a soldier demanded.
Aichi just scoffed, having a very confident look.
“Honestly...you dare tell your god what to do.”, Aichi finally said...no it didn’t seem like exactly the Aichi he met or even the 003v he knew.
The soldier flinched and he backed away unconsciously and noticed their Pokémon had moved back far away from Aichi quivering in fear. These weren’t wimpy Pokémon either, these were: Charizards, Tyranitars, Aggrons, Nidokings, Gyaradoses, Electivires, Hydriegons, Garchomps, Druddigons, and far more.
“You aren’t in the position to make demands anyway.”, Aichi said as he raised up his hand to the general’s neck.
“H-hey what a-are you waiting f-for attack him!?!?!?”, a soldier ordered the Pokémon pointing at Aichi who wore a smug smile.
Tyranitar is a Pokémon that lives for a battle, a Pokémon that actively seeks out challengers and is said to have unbreakable armor. It nervously shuffled back like it was a Pachirisu or something. The Pokémon looked over Aichi cautiously full of fear. Aichi outstretched a hand to the Pokémon with a smile on his face.
“Do you want to come with me? Do you want to get back at them for how they have been treating you?”, Aichi asked.
The Pokémon shuffled nervously looking at each other. A shiny Lycanroc looked down at its damaged paw. You could tell that it had been whipped and beaten a lot; the signs were all over a few of the Pokémon to varying degrees.
“You really think our Pokémon would betray us?! We have raised most of them since they were babies!”, a soldier said.
The Lycanroc looked over to Aichi feeling almost lured in. The aura he gave off while to enemies it can choke the will out of them to others it can feel extremely warm and inviting. It was an aura that naturally made those exposed to it want to give up everything for him. Some Pokémon tensed closer towards Aichi. The soldiers expression shifted to disbelief in horror as the Pokémon started walking over to Aichi’s side. A soldier raised a gun to shoot the Pokémon however Aichi used his psychic powers to jam the gun.
“Good choice. Now...”, Aichi said as he turned to the frightened soldiers.
He walked over to Aichi’s side raising a Poké ball. Aichi raised up one as well as the soldiers cowered.
“Go, Morgana!”, Aichi called out, throwing out a Inteleon.
“Go, Percival!”, Oliver called out, throwing out his Cinderace.
“Morgana use snipe shot!”, Aichi ordered.
“Percival use pyro ball!”, Oliver ordered.
Their attacks hit the soldiers and the other Pokémon joined in.
“W-why?!”, a soldier questioned.
“You shouldn’t be surprised. Considering how you have been treating these Pokémon. It’s ironic this place used to be a preserve but the moment the rare Pokémon that it was supposed to be protecting became useful to them of course as you humans tend to do...you exploited them.”, Aichi said, frowning.
Aichi turned away walking as Oliver followed. The soldiers screamed as they were attacked by their former Pokémon till eventually they went silent.
“It was just platitudes. They didn’t care at all…”, Aichi said, his voice more quiet now.
Oliver put his hand on his shoulder as they walked through the former preserve. He noticed a flicker of sadness in Aichi’s eyes. Many were beaten pretty badly which was likely intentional considering they can easily be healed by the healing stations all over the faculty.
“Olivier can you call for some grunt to pick them up?”, Aichi asked.
“Yeah...It’s fine 003v they be fine now.”, Oliver replied as he pulled out a communicator.
As Oliver made the call he noticed two employees of the company standing in front of an injured Haxorus. It seemed they had been rushing, likely hearing that they had arrived. The Haxorus growled at them stubbornly grabbing one of the whips the employees had with its teeth.
“Darn it you stupid reptile! Just give it to us! Before that-“, one of the employees was saying before he froze.
He desperately tried to move and panicked as he realized he couldn’t move his body. Both of them screamed as Aichi walked between them. Aichi looked down at the injured Haxorus and it seemed to be protecting something. It held an egg close to its chest. The Haxorus backed away nervously as Aichi approached with eyes full of paranoia and roared at Aichi.
“Hey, it’s alright. I won’t let them hurt you anymore.”, Aichi assured.
The Haxorus growled at him and Aichi looked taken aback. Unlike him Olivier couldn’t understand Pokémon. The Haxorus staggered and swayed as Aichi reached out for the Haxorus.
“W-wait!”, Aichi pleaded, before the Haxorus started to fall.
He caught the Haxorus with his psychic powers before it fell. Aichi lowered his head, closing his eyes.
“She’s dead...you…”, Aichi said with venom in his voice and glared at the two employees who tried to cower but couldn’t move.
Aichi was surrounded in a dark blue aura.
“All of that for an egg! You killed her for her egg!”, Aichi said, his voice full of rage.
“W-wait we can explain?!”, the employee stampered.
“Explain it to Giratina after you see him in the Distortion World.”, Aichi replied as the two panicked more.
As Oliver finished the call the employees bodies crumpled to the ground dead. Aichi held the Haxorus’s egg securely.
“You gave everything to protect this egg. I won’t let it be in vain.”, Aichi said.
Olivier felt a sad smile form on his face. Aichi lowered down the Haxorus’s body gently and closed her eyes. Aichi’s eyes were shadowed as he did so.
“003v. It’s alright.”, Olivier assured patting his shoulder as Aichi stubbornly looked away.
“It’s alright for you to feel. No one else is here.”, Olivier continued.
Olivier could see him holding back his tears before finally letting them fall.
“W-why...can’t I just be emotionless?”, Aichi questioned, putting his hand over his heart.
He may be able to trick their enemies but he couldn’t trick him. Oliver gave him a small hug.
In reality Olivier rushes to Aichi and the others before they leave.
“It’s a long story but after I completed the Millennium Puzzle a spirit came from it.”, Yugi explained, gesturing his necklace.
“Alright.”, Aichi accepted nodding like that was perfectly normal.
The others sweat dropped at this. To be fair considering how weird Aichi’s own existence was it was no surprise he wasn’t bothered by something so ridiculous. Then suddenly Aichi froze and a worried expression appeared on his face.
“Wait...Oh...Arceus...my mom is going to kill me...”, Aichi realized, looking very pale.
Kai and Misaki sweat dropped at this and Kamui looked fearful knowing very well how Aichi’s mother could be.
“Your mom? Is something wrong?”, Tea asked.
“I-I’ve got to go back to Kakusa as soon as possible! I’ll just have to train there and make sure she does not find out.”, Aichi replied, looking very panicked and fearful.
“I don’t get what the deal is. It’s just your mom.”, Jonouchi replied cluelessly.
“Aichi’s mom is a scary woman…”, Kamui replied shaking.
“And she’s overprotective of him.”, Misaki added.
“Ooh…”, Jonouchi replied as Aichi quickly looked around for a way back to Kakusa.
“Well our boat got blown up so you would have to fly back.”, Yugi said.
“I...I don’t have any flying Pokémon. I’ll just have to…”, Aichi pondered.
Flying there with his Psyqualia crossed his mind though he was still a bit worried about losing control again. Still...he knew he would have to use it again eventually versus Leon. So, whether he likes it or not he must use it.
“I guess...I’ll fly myself.”, Aichi said, before his feet started to hover above the ground and the Kantonians jumped in shock.
“Wait...but Olivier...this might be my one chance to talk to him.”, Aichi thought.
“I have to do something here first.”, Aichi said.
“Well, your not going alone.”, Misaki said, and Aichi reluctantly nodded in response.
“Alright.”, Aichi agreed, knowing how much he had already made them worry.
Aichi sees Oliver approaching him from a distance. The others look a bit cautiously as he comes near. Aichi starts approaching Oliver much to their confusion.
“Hey bro what are you doing?!”, Kamui questioned incredulously.
“I need to talk to him.”, Aichi replied simply.
“Why? He could have been sent down here by Gin.”, Misaki asked.
Aichi said nothing looking towards Oliver who was now there. Jonouchi sneered at Oliver and Honda readied to hold him back if he needed to. Yugi looked at Aichi with confusion and curiosity as to why he was doing this.
“Oliver we need to talk before I leave.”, Aichi said.
“Wait...did...did he ever introduce himself?”, Anzu pondered.
“No, he didn’t.”, Misaki replied.
“How do you know him bro?”, Kamui questioned.
“Oliver is the son of Arthur Gaillard, my father’s brother. Making us cousins.”, Aichi revealed as the others gasped in shock.
The others gasped in shock besides Kai who just looked shocked but didn’t vocalize it.
“Your cousin?!”, Kamui questioned.
“I spent a lot of my early life with him. Just give me a few minutes. Please.”, Aichi said.
“...Alright. Fine, but me and Kamui will be there to make sure there’s no funny business.”, Misaki replied.

By the way since I don't have a computer I play a lot of Pokemon sword last week ('-w-) I finally got to evolve my farfetch I'm a proud dad, my daughter Gretchen evolved to a big and strong warrior *sob sob*.
My sobble's (now a beautiful Inteleon) name is Río, wich means "river" in Spanish, and my Gengar's name is Kevin (Kevin and Gretchen are not on my mane team, but I love them) .
I would love to dress them up, so I'll draw them with all the clothes I can't buy for them on the game!!!
Someday I'll come back with cleaned drawings ...

-- Hoenn Arc II: Traveling (2)
Tumblr media
The next day, Leon found himself facing off against Norman in a three on three battle. Being the man specialized in normal types, Leon opted to use Miyagi, Bedivere, and Celeste for this fight. With Willow and Ashe seated in the stands and Willow cheering for her papa, that left the battle to start.
Norman sent out Zangoose first -- a rather underrated normal type that was known for its physical attacks, and thus Leon led off with Bedivere first. The fight was intense but it ended up with Bedivere standing. Next came out a Linoone which Bedivere had no problem in taking down, but she also went down with it. Thanking her for her hard work, out came the Slaking, his ace.
Sending out Miyagi, the fight was surprisingly intense despite the pokemon's lazy nature. It ended with Miyagi brought to one knee and the Slaking knocked out. With such an intense gym fight, Leon now found himself looking forward to the region's battles, and after receiving the badge, Leon and his family departed to sleep overnight in the Pokemon Center.
The following day, they departed heading through the next route and as well as the Petalburg Woods. Over the next several days travelling the wood they'd see and experience all kinds of pokemon, but upon exiting, they'd be greeted with a large river and on the other side Rustburo City where the next gym challenge awaited.
Time to get going!
---
Leon's Status: Decidueye (Alolan / Celeste), Armarouge (Bedivere), James (Inteleon), Lancelot (Luxray), Lycanroc (Midday / Cavall), Urshifu (Miyagi). -- 1 badge
Ashe's Status: Sylveon (Lucky), Garchomp (Kumiko).
Willow's Status: Larvesta (Larvae).

The Minnesotan Pokedex
Tumblr media
Let’s jump right in! As explained in my last entry, Pokemon distribution relies mostly on habitat. For my home state of Minnesota, I based my Pokedex off the following habitat types and pulled from the linked sources:
Temperate and Deciduous Forests
Woodlands
Grasslands/Plains/Prairies
Ponds
Streams and Rivers
Fields and Meadows
Cities
Lakes
Lakesides and Riversides
Swamps, Bogs, and Marshes
I also added Pokemon that I imagined could be found in areas such as cemeteries or power plants, but since these aren’t natural or large environments, I didn’t consider them habitats.
After selecting for and removing Pokemon that I thought would be odd to include in my state, such as the Luxray line, I was left with the following Pokedex! I did not include legendary or mythical Pokemon because I wouldn’t consider them “species” that could be found, but rather individuals that I’d like to cover in a separate essay. So, for those of you who may find interest in the topic, I present:

The Preface
This is in the Pokemon Shield’s post game. I’ve beaten all the gym leaders and the Champion in the game.
The main character’s name is Lupe.
Lupe, Hop, and Marnie are all 16.
Her mom left her dad when she was little. So instead of a single mom she has a single dad.
Her champion team was Inteleon, Corviknight, Theivul, Cherrim, Bolthund, and a Mudsdale.
Hop, Leon and Marnie have gone missing. People assumed Leon went off grid due to embarrassment from the loss of his title. They also assumed Hop and Marnie went off to try new paths in life in other regions. Hop was reported missing when his Pokemon in their balls were found wrapped in his jacket in the Motostoke River a week before the story starts.
Lupe let Eternatus flee back into space. [In game I did catch it but story-wise Lupe did not.]
The ancient sword and shield were taken into police custody and never heard from again.
Chairman Rose was found not guilty and was framed by Oleana; who was arrested.
