Ground type chungus monsters. Tarricade were found traditionally in arid plains and wastelands however today are more likely to be found around the outskirts of cities and isolated towns. They cause a number of issues as they tear up road surfaces to eat and are notoriously difficult to move on. Baobasaur use their mighty girth to store copious quantities of water and can survive prolonged droughts for years if they are suitably prepared. When travelling, their steps can carve holes in the ground that fill with water pressed from their feet by their own huge weight. --Attack Info-- --Ability Info--

Insomnia Brass Band — Road Works (Tiger Moon)
Tumblr media

Road Works by Insomnia Brass Band
The Insomnia Brass Band wasted no time getting back out there once pandemic restrictions lifted. The trio took their rollicking, rhythm-driven, jazz-funk minimalist marching band out on the road, starting in the spring of 2021, notching 29 shows in that year and another 19 in 2022. This latest album, Road Works, feeds the energy from that jubilant return to public performance into a baker’s dozen of new tunes.
The threesome—that’s Anke Lucks on trombone, Almut Schlichting on baritone saxophone and Christian Marien on drums—sounds, as ever, much bigger than it is, perhaps because of how deftly band members fill the spaces between one another’s notes. There are always three different, but more or less congruent, musical ideas going on in these songs, a sort of hacky-sack of interconnected inquiry, in which each musician must be prepared to keep the tune in the air, regardless of the angle it flies in from.
A year ago, I said of Late Night Kitchen, “Insomnia Brass Band sounds like a cubist painting of an oompah band, noses jutting off in every direction, cerebral and off-beat, yet somehow capturing an eccentric, unexpected groove.” That is still very much the overall vibe in cuts like “Dreaming of East London” and “Frog Rock,” which lurch and roll with boxy abandon, all three members contributing to staccato rhythms at times, all three of them (Marien included, he gets a long solo in “Golden Wedding”) haring off into wild digressions at others. The proportion of rigor and experiment swings wildly.
While this combination of jazz chops and nearly punk energy may define Insomnia Brass Band, the group is not afraid to color outside the lines. A few pensive, introspective, loosely rhythmed tracks highlight the musicians’ willingness to consider timbre, tone and mood, as well as swaggering beats.  In free-flowing “So Dicht Bei Mir” (which translates as “So Close to Me”), the trombone and sax unspool languid flourishes of melody — not the same melody but complementary ones — while the drummer creates small, subtle sounds with cymbals. There are long, blown-out blats of reed and brass, extended to contemplate all manner of gritty, fluttery variation.
“Super Constellation” near its end does the best job of integrating all the things that IBB has gotten up to this record. At first, the sax keeps a syncopated, celebratory time, while drum and trombone head out into the improvisatory heights. Then the beat dissolves, and Lucks and Schlichting trade low-toned, breath-frayed meditations, while Marien ranges all over the kit. And finally, all three of them converge like a high-kicking chorus line around the rhythm, as if none of that inchoate mid-track meander had ever happened at all.
And in a way, maybe that’s what they learned from two years on the road: that forward progress is mandatory, but not all the time. All travel should include unplanned side excursions which seem like a distraction when you take them, but turn out to be an integral part of the trip.
