there are five categories of destiny raid bosses who survive their fights in a form other than being turned into a gun. behold:

A. Vex Minds: literally all the vex bosses they're doing vex collective bs and don't die properly espc Atheon

B. Came Back Wrong: Oryx (Echo of Navigation was Witness' perception of him), Val Ca'uor (Taken at some point after Spire of Stars), Atraks-1 (Corpse or rogue copy is being piloted by an artificial Vex Mind)

C. They're technically dead but there's actually a slim to zero chance they are actually dead from a lore perspective: Ir Anûk and Ir Halak (they invented oversouls, they MUST have a throne world), Taniks (is Taniks)

D. Last Wish Bosses: All of them except Morgeth survived in some form for the sake of the plot to come, the techeuns because they were chill and Riven because creating another major living ahamkara character takes too much effort.

E. Ir Yût. she's just completely fine
