Limiter

The screwdriver's edge rests against a groove in the metal of your shoulder as you carefully twist it. Everything in this area is sensitive, but you're rooting around in your inner-workings with a purpose this time. The tired eyes of her screen watch you from the charging bed as you set the tiny screws aside, carefully removing and resting the protective plating next to them. The internals of your shoulder emit a dim blue glow as you try to get a grip on your target.

It takes a bit of care to get it out safely, but eventually the force limiter wiggles free in your fingers. Its wires snap satisfyingly as you rip it from your body and toss it onto the table. You can feel more power flowing through your limbs now, and your fingers shake a bit as they acclamate to the change. You hear her slide out of bed behind you, and turn to face her.

"You don't need to worry, you can stay in bed. I'll be over in just a moment. Just finishing up."

She laughs softly as she takes the screwdriver, pushing you towards a chair with a firm hand.

"Let me screw you up, love. When I tried to put myself back together after taking mine out i couldn't stay steady and accidentally severed some connections. You'll need some time to get used to it, so let me take care of you."

You sigh and lean back in the chair, letting her get to work on screwing the layers of plating back into place. It only takes her a couple minutes before she puts the screwdriver away and offers you a hand, pulling you to your feet and leading you back over to the bed. You fall backward onto the soft surface, feeling the trickle of power into your system as she climbs on next to you. She wraps her arms around you, and you do the same.

You're still shaky and unsteady, but you hold each other tight regardless- And for the first time, it really is tight from both sides. No more gently resting your limbs against her body, no more yearning for a stronger touch. You can finally hold her for real with your jittering arms, and you bury your face in her shoulder. You hold each other with force that the limiter worked so hard to prevent, force that the world hates you for having, force that would obliterate a human body a dozen times over.

But there are no human bodies here. Just her. Just you. Just this.

thoughts on robot4robot vs robot4human?

i definitely love a lot of humans but theres a certain connection that you can really only get with other robots. Its tiring having to explain to every single cis i mean human person that no, i don't miss eating, or having to bathe, or the feeling of whatever clothes on my limbs (literally that's the worst!) like, i'm happier than ever in my chassis.

A little piece snaps off somewhere inside of her as her machinery tries and fails to push against the harder metal of your forearm. It's hard to tell if the little squeaks and whines escaping her are mechanical failure or exclamations of overstimulation, though at this point you suppose it doesn't matter. A thin half-gear wiggles out of its place as you wedge her torso apart, chiming pleasingly on each component it bounces against on its trip to the bottom of her chassis. You grasp a fistful of wires, watch her movements go desperate and erratic as you give it a forceful twist. Most of it snaps free. Her left arm goes limp. She shakily rests the other on your hip as your straddle her, and though her vocal box has been reduced to a whimpering distorted mess, it's clear what she's feeling. Please don't stop, keep going, go further. Take more. Destroy me if you need to. Whatever you do, just don't let this feeling end. You're happy to oblige. You rake fingers along the back wall of her interior, shredding PCB and connections all the way down. She gives a happy sound like a jammed industrial fan as her neck goes limp, head flopping to the side, her few geometric facial motors twitching. She moves that weak, convulsing hand from your hip to your waist, grasping hold of one of your abdominal columns. You pull hard on an interwoven cable cluster and it pops cleanly free from its port. The arm, her last functional limb, goes limp. You delicately uncurl it's fingers from around the column, placing the hand neatly at her side to mirror the other. In this state, it would be easy to mistake her for scrap. You imagine she likes that. Immobile, body splayed across the floor, sensation centers in overdrive, there's no doubt in your mind that the girl inside the motionless heap of metal beneath you is exactly where she wants to be. You sigh, press your rigid face tenderly against her own for a few seconds in an act that signals the beginning of a long and fulfilling process of aftercare. A dim LED blinks somewhere in the mess. You reach for your soldering iron.

He is pushed to the front when external factors are stressing the body out, and exe fronts immediately to help alleviate those issues.

Cy has to delegate tasks to others, and in rottz downtime, may prefer to be left alone, spending time mostly isolated somewhere quiet in headspace.
