Fun times drawing at @brooklynmuseum last night during @target First Saturday! Did you know? 🎁 :: On the first Saturday of every month (*except* September), BK Museum has public workshops & performances. 🎁 There is NO admission fee & museum hours are extended until 11pm. ❗ #nowyaknow ❗ ➡ Their drink & draw workshop was PACKED. Complimentary paper and pencils were included for anyone who wanted to doodle, but they went quickly ☄📝🖍✏☄ (Luckily, I tend to have my own materials on hand 🖎☠✍) It somehow feels magical to be surrounded by people who want to •° #create °• things. I had a blast sketching from the fabulous live models in the museum's lobby and meeting other artists throughout the night. ➡ Amidst their contemporary collection, the poured mirrored-glass works of #RobWynne really stuck with me. The nature of their materiality felt frozen in time. I love working with glass and seeing work like his in a museum setting is very inspiring. 💎 I also spent a while contemplating their extensive Ancient Egyptian collection, pouring over the #bookofthedead. 👑 "I will not have ignorance in my heart.
