💮 Roméo et Juliette 💮

Maman m'a emmenée voir Roméo et Juliette. Je n'avais jamais vu de ballet auparavant et j'ai été émerveillée par tant de grâce et de beauté. Je ne pensais pas que l'amour était aussi puissant : au point d'en mourir !

En fait, je n'ai jamais vraiment connu l'amour. Ce sentiment me fascine et m'effraie à la fois. Comment réagir face à un garçon si on n'a jamais eu l'occasion de parler avec l'un d'entre eux ? Me trouveraient-ils ridicule ? ou bien agréable et passionnante ?

I'm reading Romoe and Juliet for the first time in like a decade and my honest thoughts:

Act 1

1. This is a comedy, tragedy comedy but comedy all the same.

2. Bite your thumb is to flip someone off?? Our boy William was having the time of his life

3. Romeo is obviously depressed and everyone just leaves him be

4. He's a dramatic son of a biych

5. Romeo was spitting out full sonnets at the drop of a hat for Rosaline and all of a sudden he's over her? Very flakey

6. Paris is the only bad guy here. "Younger than she are happy mothers" the fuck???

7. Romeo before the party. "Fuck me slowly with a cactus if I find anyone prettier than Rosaline. She is my religion" OK dude

8. I get that it was the thing of the day but married at 14???
