for your concert, may I suggest got my mind set on you for eren with a friends to lovers type trope? like maybe eren has a bit of a past as a fuckboy and realizes now that he's in love with his friend. she doesn't believe him given his history, so he is determined to woo her, but really he just needs to show her that he's serious about her (because she has already loved him this whole time hehe). OR whatever you want to do!!

“Y/N. White wife-beater or black wife-beater?” 

You peek up from the top of your textbook to glare at him and he has that stupid, stupid grin on his face. The one he uses to get anything he wants. 

“Man. At this point you’re just trying to sound like an asshole.” mutters Jean, taking Armin’s pillow and smacking it straight into his face. 

Mikasa and Armin laugh in response, agreeing as Eren makes his way over to you, flopping on his bed next to you. He’s leaning directly into your space, that musky cologne enveloping your nose as he starts talking. 

“Y/N.” 

“Eren.” 

“Black or white?” 

“Ass or face?” 

“What?” 

“Do you want me to punch you in the ass or in the face?” 

He laughs as he bends over, sticking the aforementioned ass into your space as he knocks your textbook out of your hands and you push him away. And you try to fight the smile trying to make its way on to your face, trying to feign as much anger as you can. 

But you can’t be mad at Eren. You can’t be anything but a jumbled mess of feelings at Eren lately. 

When you moved to college, you were looking forward to getting a fresh start from the town that you grew up in. Not that it was ever a bad place but it was never really a good place either. And you were ready to let it all go, to move away from your parents, to find out who you were. 

And just your luck, the one boy from your highschool going to the same college as you ends up in your orientation group and never leaves you alone after that. Dragging you to random club meetings for free food, taking you to mixers that your RA hosted, trying to sneak into frat parties together. 

At some point, you were just always together. And maybe some small part of you really liked having him around. That he wanted to be your best friend, told you all the little inner workings of his mind instead of someone else. That he thinks the Loch Ness Monster is made up, that he likes the Twilight movie soundtracks a little bit too much, that he loves mystery books. 

And he’s dorky - snorts when he laughs too hard, can’t drink beer without spilling it all over his shirt, and is so weirdly passionate about these little sea animals that he’s spending the entire summer doing an internship at the marine biology research lab at your university. 

But he’s also sweet - trying to memorize all the little facts about you, picking you up from class as a habit, telling you that you’re prettier than some shit guy who won’t come by. 

He’s your friend. Your sweet, secret little dorky friend. No one looks at you. But no one looks at him either. Maybe you guys only look at each other. 

Except when you come back from the summer, his dork is replaced with…charm. Charisma, an appeal, a magnetism. And maybe he was always really charming, but no one paid attention to it. It was just for you. 

But now they do - because he’s grown out his soft brown hair into this sunkissed loose man bun and spending all summer swimming in tidepools has defined his muscles. Because he was always gangly and a little awkward but one summer has him looking fit, in all the right places. 

That’s when it starts raining on your parade. Because when you and Eren go to parties, you’re talking to him less and the girl who's drunk and throwing up in the bathroom more. He’s too busy talking to the pretty girls, twirling their locks of hair in his hands and batting his pretty eyelashes at them. 

And he still picks you up from class with an iced coffee in hand, except the barista scribbled her name over your cup because she wants Eren to call her later. And you know Eren leans into it, because this newfound attention only gives him confidence to show off more. 

To tell girls about the creepy little slugs he spent all summer looking for so they can coo over how cute it is that he cares, to show off those ridiculously defined muscles, to gleam at people the way he does. 

You’re interrupted by your train of thought as Historia, the girl Eren met at a club meeting knocks on the door, shining sunlight at Eren as she smiles at him. And when he flicks the top of your forehead and stands up to press a kiss to her cheek and run out with her, you stick your face back into your textbook. 

And pretend it doesn’t sting. 

You peer over your notebook again to find Jean hanging upside down on the bunk, his eyes staring into yours. 

“Hi Y/N.” 

“Hi Jean. The blood is rushing to your head. You look like an overly ripe tomato.” 

He laughs as he flops off the bunk and next to you, leaning his head in to read your textbook. 

“A tort is a civil law that causes a claimant to suffer loss or….this shit is so fucking boring.” 

He snatches the textbook away from your clutches and flings it off the bed, giving an innocent smile as he does. 

“I was reading that.” 

“And now you’re not!” 

“Do you want something from me, Jean?” 

“Yeah. Let’s go on a date.” 

“You have a boyfriend.” 

“Yeah. It was his idea.” 

He pulls you up by the wrists as you both shuffle out of Armin and Eren’s dorm room, giving half-hearted goodbyes to Mikasa and Armin as he dragged you back to your hal. Trying to convince you to go on a date with him. 

“No.” 

“Listen. You make this mopey sad face whenever he brings a girl around. It’s really ugly.” 

“Thanks, Jean. You’re such a gentleman.” 

He pinches the bridge of his nose as he swings your door open, the two of you flopping onto your bed. 

“I just mean- I hate that you wait around for him. And Marco does too. I think it would be nice. For me to take you out, to make you feel special, to remind you that you don’t have to hopelessly pine over that idiot and wait for him to look at you back.” 

“Jean, I just-” 

He stands up, locking his fingers with yours, as he tries to use his boyish charm on you. And it’s entirely different from Eren’s. Where Eren oozes pure charisma, like you can’t help but give in because you just want to know what he’s getting at. 

Jean’s charm is more…boyish. Innocent. Because he’s smiling at you, all soft and genuine. Like you want to give in because you know he means well. It’s sweet. So you agree.

“Eren.” 

“Hm?” 

“Pink dress or white skirt?” 

You hold up the options as Eren looks at you for the first time - even though he’s been in your dorm for the past three hours texting Historia in your bed - and squints at you. 

“Are you wearing makeup?” 

“Yeah. I’m going on a date.” 

He stands up, placing his hands on your cheek as he moves your face around in the air, taking in the product on your face. A soft glitter on your eyelids, black around your eyes that makes your eyes look infinitely bigger, and soft pink on the tops of your cheeks. 

“With who?” 

“Well, Jean for now. But it’s practice before I start going on real dates you know?” 

“You’re going on dates? Why?” 

You roll your eyes as you turn back in the mirror, holding up the options to your frame as you weigh what to wear. 

“Because. I want to get out there and I’m like…deeply touch starved or whatever. I just want someone told hold me or something. And it feels weird to do it cold turkey so Jean’s taking me.” 

“You could have asked me. I could take you.” 

You roll your eyes as you push past him, reaching for your flowery perfume that you spray on for special occasions. Eren’s leaning against your bedpost, his eyes scrunched up in frustration that for some reason is really annoying you. 

“You have a girlfriend.” 

“Hisu’s not my girlfriend. We’re just talking.” 

“Okay, yeah. Same thing.” 

“Jean has a boyfriend.” 

“This was Marco’s idea, Eren. He’s not going to care if I actually go on it and I think he’s probably the one who bought the flowers Jean’s going to bring me.” 

You hold the two options up in the air again, boring your eyes into Eren’s as you gesture for him to respond again. 

“I’m not picking.” 

“I literally pick your date outfits for you all the time. You could pick for me.” 

And Eren mutters something that sounds like pink under his breath which you smile brightly at as you duck into your closet to slip the dress on. And when it’s all fresh and pressed against your skin, there’s a knock on your door and a very smiley Jean waiting for you. 

As you predicted, he’s holding a pretty bouquet of pink flowers in his hand, wearing a nice buttoned up shirt as opposed to his usual lame t-shirts. 

“Hi. Don’t you look pretty?” 

He reaches for your wrist and lifts your hand up to spin you around, the pleats of your dress whooshing in the air and a stupid laugh falling out of your lips. 

“Jean. You’re laying it on a little thick there.” 

He shakes his head dismissively as he places the bouquet on your desk, giving a small nod to Eren as he walks back to you, pinching the side of your cheek. 

“You’re getting the full Jean Kirschtein experience. I have to set the bar high so you don’t settle for a whole idiot or anything.” 

And Eren watches you and he hates it. That he has this angry, green little monster simmering in his chest. That you’re smiling at Jean, that he’s taking you on a date to set your standards, that you’re wearing a pretty dress and laughing with someone who isn’t him. 

And he knows it’s wrong. That he has no right to be jealous when he’s talked to other girls ever since the summer ended while you’ve remained steadfast and true. And it wasn’t like you were staying true to him because Eren’s positive that you don’t feel that obligation, that loyalty to him, but some part of him feels like you do. Or wishes that you do. 

But suddenly…he’s feeling it for you. That he shouldn’t be with anyone but you, that he’s the person who should be taking you on cute dates, twirling you around in pretty dresses, having you spread glitter all over your face for him. 

Eren texts Historia as he watches you and Jean duck out the door. 

“Uh huh, Kirschtein. I’m sure this is gonna be the best date of my life.”

“That’s a promise, baby girl.” 

“Ew. Baby girl?” 

“Do you prefer sweetheart instead?” 

“You’re so fucking corny, Jean.”  

And when the door closes, he sends the text. 

I want to see other people. Sorry Hisu.

You return from your date with Jean to find Eren slumped over in your bed, typing away on his laptop. Your roommate, Hitch, is glaring bloody murder at you as she flits her eyes over to his direction. 

“Eren.” 

“Ah. You’re back. How was it?” 

“What are you doing in my room? I left hours ago.” 

“Just wanted to see you when you got back. And I was spending time with my best friend, Hitch. She’s just so riveting to talk to and I just love her so much.” 

She throws her portable fan at his head, which he catches before it makes contact and then throws it back at her.

“I’ll walk you back to yours, Eren. And you’re buying Hitch coffee as an apology.” 

He rolls his eyes as he grabs his bag, blowing fake kisses to Hitch as she flips him off. You’re both trodding through the hall, the building quiet. It’s Friday night. Everyone’s partying. 

“Didn’t want to party tonight, Eren?” 

“Nah. Didn’t feel like it. How was your date?” 

You smile as you twiddle with your fingers. 

It was nice. To feel special, to have someone tell you that you were pretty. And sure he didn’t mean it in that way and it was entirely platonic, but it was nice to have someone look at you. Who wants to make you feel special, try to coax you into doing things you don’t usually do. 

And you’re positive it’ll feel even better when the feelings are reciprocated. 

“Really nice, Eren. I’m excited to…meet people. Date them. Have someone make me feel special, tell me I’m pretty.” 

“You’re pretty.” 

You look over to find Eren’s cheeks burning pink, the tips of his ears red as he avoids eye contact with you. 

“Thank you?” 

“Ye-yeah. Sure.” 

You make it to Eren’s door and he swings the door open, dragging you in by the wrist. From the looks of it, Armin’s not home, Eren’s desk light flickering on the desk. He drags you to his bed, the two of you sitting on his plush duvet. 

“Eren. I was just walking you here. I’m kind of tired from the painting.” 

“You went painting?” 

“Yeah. It was like a pottery type thing. We picked out mugs and just painted on them. Talked about stuff. Shared an ice cream together after. Jean and Marco gave me very sweet kisses on the cheek when I dropped him back off to his dorm.” 

Eren pushes his hand through his hair as he asks, the question making the air in his throat burn. 

“Ah. Would you ever…go on a date with me?” 

And you laugh. Quite literally laugh, because he cannot be serious. 

“God, Eren. Don’t be a cliche right now.” 

“What?” 

“You see your best friend go on a date with another guy and suddenly you’re interested in her. It’s like every corny rom-com.” 

You lean forward, pinching the plush of his cheek. 

“You just want what you can’t have, Eren. I’ve been waiting for you to notice me for two years. And of course, you only look at me when you can’t have me.” 

“Wait, but I-” 

“Eren. I want someone who makes me feel special. And you’ve always been special to me, but I want to be special to someone too. Let’s not make our friendship weird. And hey, maybe we can actually be equals this time.” 

“Equals?” 

“Two people who care about each other the same amount. Not one person hopelessly pining over the other.” 

You give his cheek one last pinch as you pad out his door, giving him a smile before you slam the door shut.

The next morning, Eren’s standing outside your Civil Law lecture with a coffee in hand. And a shy smile pressed across his face. 

“Good morning, Y/N.” 

“Hi Eren.” 

Despite your admission of your feelings and your swift rejection of Eren, he’s still standing here. And you were expecting it, because you know that Eren wasn’t really saying any of that in earnest. And it’s nice to admit your feelings, as a way of letting them go before you give in and like someone else. 

You take the cup from his hand and shove the much needed caffeine into your mouth, the two of you strolling to your next class. You look over to find Eren with a pinched look on his face, like he’s constipated. 

“Eren.” 

“Hm?” 

“Cat got your tongue? What’s wrong with you?” 

“You didn’t…look at the cup.” 

You look back down at the cup to find handwriting scribbled on it in green sharpie. 

you look pretty today, sweet girl 

You laugh, holding it up in the air. 

“No way. The barista called you a sweet girl? It’s that long ass hobo hair you have.” 

“What? That wasn’t the barista, that was me!” 

“You wrote on the cup? Why?” 

“For you, stupid! I’m trying to romance you.” 

You spit the coffee straight into your cup, looking back down at the cup again. And holy shit he’s right - the way the g is looped and the writing is slanted, it really is Eren’s handwriting. 

“Eren.” 

“What?” 

“It’s cute. But you’re going to do it for like one week. And then get bored of waiting and see some pretty girl at a party and change your mind.” 

“I’m not! You’re it for me.”

“Eren. Bullshit. You wouldn’t last a month.” 

He leans forward, pressing you into the hard of the wall as he looks down, green eyes glinting in yours. 

“Bet.” 

“What?” 

“I’ll bet on it. Prove it to you. That I’ve got my mind set on you.” 

“Uh huh. That takes a lot of patience, Eren. Time. Something that’s never been your forté.” 

“I’ll make it my forté, if it’s for you.” 

You give into the bet. A month for Eren to romance you, to prove that he’s really only got his mind set on you. 

You give in because you know you’ll win. He gives in because he wants to prove the stupid, silly girl he loves that he can do it right.

eren: ok ok see you after class sweet girl. and thanks for the picture. corniness aside, it really did make my day. you’re my favorite thing to look at. 

You ignore the pounding in your chest as you throw your phone into your purse and head to the coffee shop. And what you hoped would be an uninterrupted study session is interrupted by a certain green eyed idiot, smiling at you as he takes the seat across from you. 

“Hi doll.” 

“Eren. You have class.” 

“Got canceled. The planets and the fates and all the stars aligned. You and me, free for a little study date at the same time.” 

You crinkle your nose as you lift your backpack from the seat next to you, Eren sliding in and taking a sip from your watered down coffee. 

“Did you just rhyme? How long did that one take you?” 

“The whole walk over here. Did you like it?” 

“No.” 

Eren opens up his laptop, the two of you working in silence. And in the smallest of ways, Eren’s making it hard for you to focus. 

Tangling his legs with yours under the desk, resting his hand on your thigh every time you work out one of your homework problems with him, tucking your hair behind your ear every time it annoyingly flops forward. 

“Oh! I have something for you.” 

He holds out a tiny little candy, a twisted mango strawberry pop. The one you can only get in Shiganshina, a four hour drive away. 

“What the fuck? You had Mindy’s the entire time and your greedy ass wasn’t sharing?” 

You take the little candy in his hand, twisting the ends open and letting the flavors melt on your tongue. And the nostalgia hits your head, running in the grass as a kid, your mom keeping a little box on the top of the microwave for you two to share at the end of the day. 

“Just got them. I drove all the way to Shiganshina to get them for you.” 

“Uh huh.” 

“I’m being serious. I went on Sunday, after my lab meeting. Got the box, hung out with my dog for an hour and came back.” 

“You were probably just running an errand down there. I bet Zeke just needed your help with something.” 

“My parents and Zeke are in Hizuru, remember?” 

You feel your mouth go dry as you shuffle the candy in your mouth, huffing back in your chair. Corny ass idiot. They are in Hizuru to meet Zeke’s new girlfriend. But there’s no way in hell he drove all the way there just to get you a candy. 

“There’s no way you-”

“I’ve got my mind set on you. In my mind, you and I are already dating. I’m just kind of waiting for you to catch up.” 

“Oh, quit i-” 

“When you’re my girlfriend, we’ll go together. Make a little drive out of it, see your parents and my parents. Get Mindy’s. Bother that lady who works at the aquarium.” 

“Eren.” 

He pinches your cheek as you frown, rolling your eyes at him. 

“For now, I'll just drive down there alone to get you candy. Three more weeks, stink.”

Your stress is building. You’ve got two term papers due next week, a club meeting to plan, a project to go over with your research advisor, and groceries to do. And really, really all you are is bone dead tired. That you can feel your bones dragging and your eye bags deepening and the panic shuffling every time you breathe in and out. 

Your final straw? Forgetting you were going to get your period and leaking onto your bed sheets. 

And you know it’s not a big deal. That you can wash the sheets and get the stain out, that you can take a shower to feel better. 

But this tiny little thing, this red blotch on your sheets, is enough to push you over the edge. Because you’re tired, because so much is going on, because this is just another thing you don’t have time to do but have to. 

You can feel the tears streaming down your eyes, burning the sensitive skin underneath your eyes and flushing your cheek. 

That’s when Eren finds you. Curled up on the ground, tears streaming down your eyes. 

“Woah, hey. Hey, talk to me. What’s wrong?” 

He falls flat on the floor next to you, opening up his arms which you roll into and start soaking his shirt in your salty tears. He’s whispering into your ear, whispering sweet nothings and his warm arms are holding you. 

“Tell me what happened. Use your words.” 

“I-I have a lot to do. The Civil Law paper and the entire plan for the-the club meeting. Dr. Smith wants to meet with me about my-my research plan and I’m not ready and I got my period and leaked on my sheets and I don’t have time to clean and-” 

“Okay. It’s okay.” 

His warm, calloused hands are rubbing into the small of your back, his hold still firm against you. And he drags you up, opening the shower and warming it up for you. He’s rummaged through your closet - pulled out a stack of clothes and set them on the counter. 

“Are you…going to leave?” 

“Of course not, Y/N. Outside when you’re done, okay?” 

And you take the shower. Spend too long standing underneath the warm water, letting the shower scald your skin in a comforting way, relishing in the smell of your springy body soap washing you clean. Of the tears, of the blood, of your frustrations. 

When you towel up your hair and reach for the stack of clothes on the counter, you only now realize what this cheeky bastard did. Left a pair of your pajamas and the hoodie he was wearing on the counter. 

You pull it on, his musky smell mixing with the scent of your flowery shampoo, as you pad out of your room, Eren folding your laundry on your bed. 

“Eren.” 

He turns around and gives you a warm smile, walking forward to lock his fingers with yours. 

“You look so cute right now. Pouty little face and your hair in this stupid towel.” 

“Quit it.” 

He leads you over to your bed, climbing on as he pulls you forward. 

“Cleaned the sheets. Did your laundry. And made a plan for you to finish the paper and emailed Erwin from your account that you’re not free until the week after and-” 

You can feel your eyes burning, the tears welling up in your face. You lean into his arms and he rests his chin against the top of your head, his hands snaking under your hoodie to press against your cold skin. 

“Eren.” 

“Hm.” 

“This is a really elaborate plan to get into my pants.” 

He laughs, the sound vibrating through his chest as he talks. 

“I know.” 

“I knew it, you dick. You only want to get in my pants.”  

“Well, that’s part of it. I am very attracted to you. I’m not going to pretend like I don’t want to be in your pants.” 

“Charming. The whole “I’ve got my mind set on you thing” is really working.” 

“I'm being honest! I want to be in your pants and in your head and all your little dreams and your heart too.” 

You rest your head against his chest, his heartbeat hammering against your ears as he finishes talking. And when you drift off to sleep, you can still feel it beating in tandem with yours. And try to forget why you and Eren are waiting two weeks to do this for real in the first place.

He’s done it now. And you’ve caught him in the fucking act. The sweet, sweet satisfaction of proving this idiot wrong - that he would get bored of waiting for you and move onto another girl is standing right in front of you. 

It’s Eren’s friend Reiner’s birthday. Eren had told you in advance that he couldn’t see you Friday and you obliged. 

Except, Hitch invited you to the party the day of, claiming she needed someone to walk in with so she didn’t look like an idiot. Some guy Marlowe she’s really into is going to be there and she has to be at her best. 

And when you get to the party, you lose Hitch in all but five seconds, left in this awkward, sweaty mess of a room alone. But when you walk over to the kitchen, you see it. 

Eren leaning over the counter, talking to a girl. Short brown hair, a mass of freckles over her face, the two of them smiling at each other. And when you march over there, you’re all but too happy to rub it in his face. 

Because you’re right. And you knew you were right. That Eren, all hot and toned and sexy from his beach summer, would not give it up. The attention, the girls, the love he gets from all of it for you. That he would look at other things and not at you, that you couldn’t be enough for him. And he can buy you coffee and do your laundry and be there for you all he wants, but you know deep down you’re right. 

“You little son of a bitch. Week three and I win.” you say, crossing your hands over your chest. 

“Huh?” 

“I win. You’re at a party, flirting with a girl. Meaning, you don’t have your mind set on me. Meaning, I’m right. That you can’t let go of being a manwhore for me, that you surely have your eyes wandering elsewhere even though you claim to be only looking at me.” 

“Y/N-” 

“You think driving to get me candy and doing my laundry and giving me your hoodie would buy me over? You’re not getting into my pants for a quick fuck just because you know you can and-” 

He pulls you forward, clamping his hand over your mouth. He’s squinting his eyes at you, almost like he’s confused at your outburst. And when you look over at the girl, you realize why. 

It’s Ymir. The president of the Gay-Straight Alliance Ymir. Like literally the gayest girl you’ve probably ever met in your life. 

“Oh.” 

Eren smiles, rolling his eyes, as he drops his hands to lock his hand with yours. 

“Yeah, oh. Did you not see it was her when you walked over?” 

“No. Hi Ymir.” 

Ymir smiles, reaching forward to mess with your hair as she turns to Eren. 

“You’re right. She really is stubborn.” Ymir says, smiling at him. 

“Tell me about it. She does this every time I do something nice for her.” he responds, squeezing your hand as he talks. 

“Well, you are a manwhore.” 

“Not anymore, Ymir! I’m only a whore for her.” 

She pinches your cheek as she walks off, linking arms with a certain blonde as you walk away. And when you look over, Eren’s lazily making a drink for you on the counter, swirling it in his hand before he gives you the cup. 

“It’s Jungle Juice. There’s like three different liquors in it but you can’t really taste it s-”

“You’re not mad?” 

“Huh?” 

“I just…yelled at you. Really unfairly. And you’re not even mad?” 

“Got my mind set on you. Like you said, this thing takes patience. And time. I’ll wait for it. You’ll come to see I’m surprisingly good at this patience understanding when it’s something I really, really want.” 

And as he tilts his head back, pouring the drink into his mouth, like the entire outburst you had didn’t happen. And that’s it. You crane your head around the kitchen, looking for it. 

“Whatcha looking for?” 

Eren watches you mill around the kitchen, opening drawers, lifting picture frames as you look for it. And when you find it - the calendar posted on Reiner’s wall - you rip it off and place it in front of Eren with a marker in your hand. 

“What’s this, Y/N?” 

“Did you know that I can move time forward?” 

“Huh? How much have you had to drink?” 

You reach forward, crossing out through the entire week. The last week of the month, for the bet you and Eren had. 

Because he’s convinced you. That his mind’s set on you. That even if he used to like other girls, the girl he likes now is you. Enough to drive hours to make you happy, take care of you - bloody sheets and all, and gush at a party about you to other people. And when Hitch comes home from the party, all buzzed, to find you two under the covers, watching a movie, she says one thing and one thing only.

in light of all my bunkerposting i just thought of something really interesting. there’s a lot of talk always about how the town requires it’s residents to stay within city limits and when they try to leave they get acted upon by horrible things to make them return. and i personally, me, i LOVE thé alive town. alive town i love youuu 😘😘 but if you wanna make another leap, another little hop skip and jump, i give you narrator jughead and the case of coraline’s riverdale.

okay so we all love to dream about the town being alive, as in riverdale being alive, but at the crux of it all it is alive partially because it is powered by a real human being - narrator jughead - down in the BUNKER where he’s churning out story after story to keep the town + and his friends alive. interestingly, at the end of their highschool journeys (spiritually the end of s4 but was the start of s5) jughead first squats in the andrews’ house, and then in the bunker, until he leaves for iowa. he then ends up in NYC, writes his debut novel, and runs out of material almost immediately.

now, bear with me. canonically, jughead considers himself a narrator in all situations. the final scenes of s1 e2 have him say “it may have looked like there were four people in that booth tonight, but i was there, and i can tell you, there were only three. a blonde girl, a raven-haired girl, and the luckiest red-headed boy in the world.” we know for a fact that jughead was there. we know that jughead narrated all of riverdale, and that he was there to bear witness and write it all down later. but i present to you this: what if he was a narrator for the first four (+3 eps of s5) seasons, and then he assumed the position of author instead?

at the end of high school, once everyone has left, jughead is alone in the bunker. everyone else is off to college, cheryl has sequestered herself in thornhill, and all the parents — at least the ones that would care about jughead disappearing, (fp, fred, mary) have all left too. jughead tells us that at the end of summer, he leaves the bunker to go to iowa. but we only know this because HE said so. no one acknowledged his leaving, no one said goodbye or anything. my point is - if the bunker is a place where things go to die, and being dead is the only way to leave the story (ben button, ethel muggs in s7 e18) jughead never left the bunker -> he “died” -> he could leave the story and therefore narrate it.

let me explain. i always wondered why there were THREE jugheads in the jughead paradox instead of two, but if original!jughead never left the bunker, he started inserting himself as a character into his stories instead of previously assuming his narrator status in-story, so now you have original!jughead (in the bunker), character-dale!jughead, and eventually in s6, character-vale!jughead. character-dale!jughead goes to NYC, publishes a book about the events of riverdale that he narrates, and he IMMEDIATELY runs out of content. but why would that happen, you say. why would a guy writing out his own future nerf himself so bad. to that end, i say, the fucker was lonely.

think of the beldam from coraline. she exists in a pocket universe of her own making, in which you cannot go beyond the borders of the world she has created. my theory is that the real archie-ronnie-betty triangle never come back from wherever they are. toni and the other serpents staying in or coming back to riverdale is not really jughead’s concern, not until they’re needed for the story. think about how out-of-character character-dale!jughead himself behaves. the other three do what they want - betty is nancy drew irl, archie is sacrificing himself like always, and ronnie is back to being rich (and she seems flatter as a character than before, which, y know, interesting). jughead, however, who was incredibly passive about the barchie situation when it happened, is suddenly unloading massive amounts of anger on betty years after it happened. something says to me that’s original!jughead writing how he wished he’d handled it the first time around, the yelling and the name-calling and everything. and why else would we know so little about betty’s job beyond TBK? why is ronnie’s life never discussed fully in-depth? why do we not know what war archie is fighting in? doesn’t it make more sense that a boy who loved reading classic novels and watching tarantino films (and in my version, never left the bunker to read a newspaper) wrote the love of his life his best friend into a imagined war that resembles something from a movie set? all of archie’s dream sequences take place in riverdale, on the football field. we never SEE archie in active combat — at least, none that looks believable.

the town draws them all back, except, really, it’s jughead drawing them all back. why is hiram a big bad again, buying up the entire town like he was in season one? why is reggie “evil” when he was actually a close friend of archie AND veronica in s4? why are bee and vee fighting over archie again? the nana rose alien bodies plot, the cheryl building and re-building thornhill, polly being murdered, even? all of these events mirror, to some extent, the events and the characters of the earlier seasons. the boy who missed his friends so much, who roamed an empty town in his mind until he decided he couldn’t live without them anymore. he goes from narrator to author because he got dead, and then he got lonely, and all his characters harken back to an earlier age - cheryl burning down the house, hiram being a direct threat to archie when that peaked in s3, polly not being around for most of it and when she was, her being just motivation for betty to act (because that’s all jughead saw of her).

and that’s where the jughead paradox happens. that’s three jugheads, one for dale, one for vale, and one for the bunker outside of space-time. for all we know, the only thing left could be the bunker where ethel and him are writing the stories, and all that’s left of the real world is 1950s riverdale. do you ever notice how tabitha can come and go despite not being dead in the original timeline? how she stays by jughead even in his worst moments, something no one in his real life ever did for him (in his perspective, at least) ?

jughead exited the story via the bunker, the living coffin. maybe by accident, maybe on purpose. but when he couldn’t find his way back to the riverdale where he had people he loved, he started writing about one instead. maybe for his next book — but more likely, to power a universe where only the town exists. nothing else. if his friends can’t leave - assigned to riverdale FBI office, wall street reputation destroyed, town needs him to run every government service, percival’s curse trapping them in the path of THE COMET — they can’t leave him. the town is alive and is feeding on jughead’s stories, and jughead never wants to be left behind (in the bunker or otherwise) ever again. and what is a wish except a story where you get a happily ever after?

The concert featured songs by the Band interspersed with the group backing up a variety of musical guests, including Emmylou Harris, Neil Diamond, Mavis Staples, Neil Young, Muddy Waters, Bob Dylan, Ringo Starr, Ronnie Wood, Van Morrison and Eric Clapton.

“You can only get over your fears if you attack them head on”.

Mika Pauli Häkkinen was born in Vantaa, a city not far from Helsinki, in an humble family: his father, Harri, was a short-wave radio operator and a part-time taxi driver, meanwhile his mother Aila, was a secretary. He also has a sister called Nina. Since a young age, Mika was a very lively and athletic child and used to play ice hockey and football. It was at the age of 5, that his parents rented a go-kart for him to take and try on a track near their home. However, his first experience on four wheels didn't go so well: little Mika crashed, but thankfully he was uninjured; despite his accident, the young boy wanted to keep racing, so his father decided to buy him a second-hand go-kart, which turned out to be the one that, future rally driver, Henri Toivonen, previously raced with. Young Mika would earn his first karting win in 1975, and in the late 70s would go and win the Keimola Club Championship for two consecutive years. Yet his major success would come in 1981, when he won in the 85cc class of the Finnish Karting Championship, the following year he would win the Ronnie Peterson Memorial event. In 1983, he moved up to the Formula Nordic 100cc that he ended up winning on his first attempt, and would later go and win it in the three following years. In the mean time, to fund his career, Mika got a job with a friend repearing bicycles.

After purchasing his first racing car, in 1987, Mika would take a big step and leave karting to start racing in the Finnish, Swedish and Nordic Formula Ford Championships, that surprisingly, he'll win each one on his first attempt. After joining the British Formula 3, where he finished 7th in the championship, in 1990, the young Finn applied to become a 'Marlboro World Championship team' memeber, his application was the last to be reviewed by the judging panel (which included Ron Dennis and James Hunt) and after looking at his strong results in testing, he secured the membership; that very same year, he also became the British Formula 3 Champion. The following year, he was offered his first Formula 1 test session with Benetton: he really liked the car and its steering wheel and throttle response, but he was sure that the team wouldn't offer him the seat, so he preferred to sign with the Lotus team.

Mika made his debut at the US GP driving for Lotus, however his debut would be quite unpleasent, since he was forced to retire from the race due to an engine failure. But overall, his first year would be quite positive, collecting various points and ending up 16th in the World Championship; his second year in the team would be even more positive, since he finished 8th in the Championship with 11 points. Following a contract dispute, in which the young driver was in the middle of, at the end of the year he managed to sign for McLaren. Initially meant to be the new McLaren driver, he would end up 'on the bench' as the official test driver, due to the hiring of Michael Andretti. Yet, Andretti didn't last much in the team, and at the Portuguese GP, Mika would replace the American for the rest of the season. The Finn immediately showed his worth by outqualyfing Ayrton Senna and at his only second GP for the team, he would end up on podium at Suzuka, with an amazing 3rd place. These good performances lead him to earn his McLaren seat in 1994, that despite the bad start of the season and a ban for three races, he managed to collect a good amount of points and finished 4th overall. Always with McLaren, the 1995 season started with a good fourth place, but unfourtunately continued with a lot of consecutive retirements; but Mika's, already unfortunate, season ended in the worst way possible: during the qualyfing session at the Australian GP, his car suffered a tyre failure, and the car ended up hitting sideways a crash barrier. His conditions were highly critical, but it's thanks to the efforts of the trackside medical team, that his life was saved that day. Transported to the hospital nearby, Mika would spend there two whole months, where he was able to make his remarkable recovery. The Finn's come back to F1 was in time with the start of the new season, feeling stronger than ever, he wanted to start winning, he would have to wait almost one season where at the European GP, the last of the 1997 season, he would score his firts victory in his career, almost forseeing the bright future ahead. Driving the new silver McLaren MP4/13, Mika completely demoralised the competition by finishing on podium every race, except for five, and scoring 8 victories, leading Mika to claim the much coveted World Championship. The following season had the same good ending as the previous one: Mika became champion for the second consecutive year, despite various retirements, the Finn scored enough points to see him prevail on the competition. The Finnish driver almost won his third championship in 2000, but unfortunately Michael Schumacher, with a gap of 19 points, claimed the title. The 2001 season was off a bad start, and continued to be quite unsuccessful, due to the unreliability of the McLaren, this unsatisfaction lead Mika to retire at the end of the season, stating that he would take a sabbatical year from F1, to spend time with his family. (Where are you Mika? We're still waiting for you to come back from the sabbaical).

After his retirment he remained close to the world of motorsport and became a commentator for various tv channels and despite his retirement, he took part, and still does, in various motorsport events, like it happened earlier this year at the Race of Champions.

Nicknamed the 'Flying Finn', like many other Finnish racing drivers before him, he got his nickname, not only for his speed, but after a photo of his McLaren 'flying' mid air as he speeds on the Adelaide circuit was taken, and published by the note motorsport photographer Mark Sutton.

Mika's and Michael's iconic rivalry excited many in the 90s, especially for their different driving styles and personalities clashing against each other: Michael's firey personality reflected his more aggressive, lively and impulsive driving style, meanwhile Mika's cold and detached personality reflected his precise, calculated, neat driving style. But their 'loyal rivalry', actually dates back to their time in the British formula 3, where, at a young age, they were already having heated battles on track.

Michael always stated that Mika was the only driver he really respected and had fun racing against.

Ronnie and Rosalyn's Timeline (WIP)

Okey-doke, I decided to make a timeline of events involving Ronnie and Rosalyn, as if they were actual characters and not OCs. This took me a bit to put together, so I hope you like it! (Dividers by @firefly-graphics, Red Harpy fan art by davyonmartz on Twitter/X [Warning: 18+ Content])

1991

Ronnie Banner makes her comic debut as a newborn in Incredible Hulk #379. She is the result of the pregnancy revealed in Incredible Hulk #342. While Betty is discussing trying to process Bruce's new form as Merged Hulk, she mentions that his presence could be threatening to their newborn daughter, Ronnie.

Ronnie was born with green wings from Betty's previous mutate form, Harpy. At first, Bruce was shocked at the revelation of being a father, and feared that Ronnie would grow up to be just like him with an uncontrollable alter-ego, or that he'd repeat his father's past sins of alcoholism and abuse. With the support of his associates, Bruce was able to set his fears aside and be a good father and role model to Ronnie.

1993

After the events of Future Imperfect, Bruce began to fear becoming like Maestro, his evil future counterpart, and showed signs of instability when referring to himself as "Hulk" or "the Hulk" instead of "Bruce." This fear would get the better of him as it affected the time he spent with Ronnie. Eventually, after Ronnie's second birthday, Bruce reached a breaking point and decided to entrust her to his cousin, Jennifer Walters, aka She-Hulk.

2001

Rosalyn Sharp makes her comic debut in Umbra #1. Initially depicted as a no-nonsense mutant working for SHIELD. Her powerset consists of dark energy manipulation, invisibility, intangibility, flight, fear inducement, healing, and peak human condition.

Her backstory was revealed in the next issue; she was born in Atlanta, but was given up once her parents found out she was a mutant. She was then adopted by a seemingly benevolent family, only to later find out that they were working for an evil organization that would exploit mutants. Rosalyn would find out the truth when she turned 16, and unleash her untapped potential under a moment of extreme distress, destroying the facility.

This event gained the attention of the X-Men, who took Rosalyn in and trained her to better control her powers.

2005

Ronnie gets her own comic series called Hardy Hulk Girl. The first issue establishes the concept of a now 18-year-old Ronnie, and how she balances her school life with her hero life, which she adopted when she was 15. Her human form gained more attributes of Harpy such as more pronounced canines, the ability to shoot concussive energy blasts, and nails that could sharpen into claws. While her wings are normally hidden in human form, they will spread if she needs to fly or whenever she gets startled or angry.

As Hulk Girl, her wings and claws remain unsheathed, her forearms and calves become feathered, and she gains birds' talons (similar to the above picture, but more reminiscent of She-Hulk). Her strength and durability increases drastically from base form to Hulk Girl form. In dire situations, she can tap into a primal rage and become Savage Hulk Girl, further increasing her strength and durability at the cost of her intelligence.

Despite the fact that Hulk can speak, albeit in broken English, Savage Hulk Girl hasn't spoken, and is confirmed to not be able to speak. This is mainly because Savage Hulk Girl's personality is heavily based on the Hulk from the late 70s-early 80s TV show. Much like him, Savage Hulk Girl has a childlike personality, acts on either instinct or emotion depending on what triggered the shift (Savage Mode can activate regardless of Ronnie's form), and only communicates in growls and roars.

While Bruce's personality shifts are a result of his DID, Savage Hulk Girl's personality shift is due to Ronnie's mind kicking into overdrive due to multiple stressors. Since Savage Hulk Girl is still Ronnie at her core, she doesn't mind being called "Ronnie," unlike Hulk, who hates being called "Bruce" or "Banner."

2008

The Incredible Hulk is released in theaters. While not as popular as Iron Man released a month prior, one of the hottest conversation topics about the movie was the addition of Ronnie. People praised Bailee Madison's performance as Ronnie, calling her "adorable" and "charming."

2012

Marvel's The Avengers releases to critical acclaim. Some changes between the canon Avengers and this version is that Bruce and Rosalyn (who made a cameo in the post-credits scene of Captain America: The First Avenger) have a few scenes together, hinting at a possible romance. During the scene where Bruce hulks out on the Helicarrier, Rosalyn attempts to calm him down. This seems to be working, but it gets interrupted by a helicopter shooting at the Hulk. When he falls to Earth, Rosalyn ends up following him.

There's a deleted scene where Rosalyn tells Bruce about her backstory, which follows her comic origin for the most part, but instead of being taken in by the X-Men, she gets taken in by SHIELD.

2014

A sequel to The Incredible Hulk is released. This time, the movie focuses on Ronnie and her struggles. The plot kickstarts once Ronnie is sent to a summer enrichment program, and has to create a prototype for a device that could improve the world. Ronnie creates a gamma-powered Arc Reactor, inspired by her dad and Tony. While Ronnie is participating in the program, she befriends a young boy by the name of Christopher and quickly finds out that he has cancer.

Prior to Ronnie's presentation, an unknown entity sabotages the Arc Reactor. The presentation starts off normally, but once Ronnie tries to demonstrate the Arc Reactor's capabilities, it is set to explode. Everyone manages to get out safely, but once Ronnie notices that Christopher is nowhere to be seen, she heads back in to try and save him, despite the protests. Before they can escape, Ronnie and Christopher take the full blast of the explosion. Ronnie's frustration at the presentation being sabotaged combined with being bathed by lethal amounts of gamma radiation transforms her into She-Hulk for the first time (the name She-Hulk was used for Ronnie's alter-ego since Jennifer Walters doesn't exist in the MCU, therefore there is no risk of confusion with the names).

Upon recovering from her rampage, Ronnie finds out that Christopher died due to the blast expediting his cancer. Bruce decides to train Ronnie in controlling her anger and eventually transforming at will, but Ronnie is against using her new powers and tries to find a way to repress her emotions in order to prevent any accidents.

Meanwhile, it's revealed that the person who sabotaged the Arc Reactor was Samuel Sterns, who now goes by The Leader. As shown in the previous movie, after a drop of Bruce's blood entered an open wound in Sterns' head, his intellect increased dramatically, at the cost of his morals. His plan was to kill Ronnie as a revenge plot, but it ended up backfiring when Ronnie turned into the She-Hulk.

The final battle would focus on the Hulk fighting one of the Leader's lackeys, Crusher Creel, aka the Absorbing Man. At one point, Creel would get the upper hand, causing Ronnie, who was watching the fight as it was happening, to hulk out and assist her father.

Once the fight ends, Ronnie feels a bit more comfortable with her powers, but not to the extent of Bruce. The idea being that later movies would have Ronnie grow more as a character and accept She-Hulk as a part of her.

2015

Avengers: Age of Ultron is released in theaters. The plot is roughly the same as canon, with a few differences. For starters, Bruce and Natasha are not in a relationship, and Hulk turns back to Bruce in the first scene due to Ronnie's presence.

During the party, Natasha flirting with Bruce is replaced with Ronnie getting to know some of the partygoers, such as Sam, as well as Bruce and Rosalyn keeping their distance, since they're not the biggest fan of parties. When Ultron attacks, I vividly remember a brief bit where Bruce falls face first into Natasha's boobs… yeah, that's getting omitted. Instead, Ronnie runs into Bruce, and they tell each other not to turn green.

She-Hulk goes on a rampage in Johannesburg due to Wanda's mind control and has to be stopped by Hulk and Tony in his Hulkbuster armor (called Jughead here, since Veronica is Ronnie's full name).

After this display, the Avengers go into hiding at Clint's farm. The bedroom scene where Natasha tries to convince Bruce into running away with her is replaced with Ronnie doubting her status as an Avenger.

Bruce is captured by Ultron, but can't hulk out and escape since Ultron gave him an ultimatum: "If I even see a speck of green on you, I'll make sure you never see your daughter again." Once Ronnie finds out about Bruce's capture, she manages to face her fears and hulk out to save him.

Hulk and She-Hulk join the final fight against Ultron, and Rosalyn attempts to calm the two down once the fight is winding down. However, they get attacked, knocking out Rosalyn and She-Hulk (she's still inexperienced, therefore she's not as powerful as her father). Hulk takes Ronnie and Rosalyn to safety and tosses the Ultron clone out of the Quinjet. Here, Hulk does listen to Ronnie and turns it around, since if he left, he would break Ronnie's heart again, and he didn't want that.

At the end, Ronnie confronts Wanda and berates her for her actions. She ends up nearly killing her until Bruce and Clint intervene. They tell Ronnie that even though she still has ill-feelings towards Wanda, they're on the same team now, so she should at least tolerate her. Ronnie begrudgingly agrees, starting an interesting relationship with Wanda.

I år ger sig Anna-Lotta Larsson ut på sin 29:e julturné́. Hon besöker sex städer tillsammans med pianisten Fredrik Hermansson och lokala körer. Turnépremiär för ”Anna-Lottas Jul” blir fredagen den 8 december i Vännäs. Anna-Lotta Larsson är för många ett känt ansikte. Hon har dykt upp i många olika sammanhang i tv, på teaterscenen och otaliga skivinspelningar. Anna-Lottas samarbeten med lokala körer i juletid har för många blivit en tradition. I år är den eminente pianisten Fredrik Hermansson med på turnén.

”Det är en ynnest för mig att få göra dessa julkonserter tillsammans med alla härliga körledare, körsångare och att dessutom få möta en trogen publik. Det känns lyxigt och värdigt” säger Anna-Lotta Larsson.  Rollen som "Anna" i "Värmlänningarna” var hennes genombrott för den stora Tv-publiken 1980, även om hennes Tv-debut faktiskt inträffade redan 1973 då hon vid 19 års ålder framförde två sånger i Siewert Öholms program "Blå Vägen". Hon har fortsatt karriären med teater, film och i huvudsak musik som soloartist eller i samarbete med exempelvis Björn Skifs, Ronny Eriksson, Johan Stengård och Göran Fristorp. Anna-Lotta har sina rötter både i den värmländska och norrbottniska myllan. Hon har släppt 13 soloalbum sedan 1985. De fyra senaste på eget skivbolag.  Pianisten Fredrik Hermansson är en musikalisk mångsysslare som har rört sig inom en mängd olika genrer. Han har turnerat med bl.a. Zara Larsson, Rikard Wolf, Tomas Andersson Wij, Ane Brun, Henrik Dorsin, Sarah Riedel, Lustans Lakejer och många andra. Fredrik har även varit verksam som kapellmästare eller musiker på Stockholms Stadsteater, Dramaten och Scalateatern. Those in attendance enjoyed ice cold A-Treat soft drinks and Middleswarth chips provided by our friends at the local Boyer's Food Market. Queen's Quest (Utami Hayashishita, AZM, and Saya Kamitani) - Representing STARDOM, one of the most successful stables in the history of women's wrestling. Stable leader Utami Hayashishita has maintained the standard of excellence established by original Queen's Quest founder Io Shirai. Hayashishita brings with her the current Wonder Of Stardom champion Saya Kamitani and the current High Speed champion AZM.

The Factory (QT Marshall, Cole Karter, and Nick Comoroto) - QT Marshall has selected his trainee Nick Comoroto and the newest member of his stable, Cole Karter, to represent The Factory at Trios Kingdom 2022. Responding to questions about how Aaron Solo or Anthony Ogogo may feel about Karter being selected over them, QT explained that this was his way of rewarding the faith Karter showed The Factory by accepting their invitation.

The 37KAMIINA (MAO, Shunma Katsumata, and Yuki Ueno) - In an interesting development, The 37KAMIINA have accepted an invitation to join Trios Kingdom 2022 without their stable leader, Konosuke Takeshita. We can only speculate on the ramifications this may have on the group going forward, or what a potential match between them and Mr. Takeshita might look like. Takeshita had assembled some of the best young talent in DDT before leaving for his current excursion, and they are ready to show how they've adapted on their own.

Dalton Castle and The Boys (Dalton Castle, Brandon Tate, and Brent Tate) - Dalton and the Tate Twins, the current Ring Of Honor World Six-Man Tag Team Champions, are as decorated a trio as exist in pro-wrestling today. A rejuvenated Dalton Castle and his long time partners look to make a strong showing in Trios Kingdom.

Prolific (Isaiah Wolf, Marcus Marquee, and Tyree Taylor) - A promising young trio that have begun to make a name for themselves along the east coast, most notably for the Combat Zone Wrestling office. Their highest profile match yet awaits them in the opening round of Trios Kingdom 2022.

BULK Orchestra (Hayato Tamura, Ryuichi Kawakami, and Quiet Storm) - Representing the GLEAT wrestling office. In his young career, top prospect Hayato Tamura has already claimed the ZERO1 World Heavyweight championship and was a finalist for the GLEAT G-REX Title. Joining him are veterans Ryuichi Kawakami, who found success in Big Japan, DDT, and All Japan before joining GLEAT, and Quiet Storm, whose long career has seen him compete everywhere from the early days of Combat Zone Wrestling to the rings of Osaka Pro and Pro Wrestling NOAH.

Mysterious Q, FOR, and JJ - Little is known about this cult like group that orbits around the Mysterious Q. Even less is known now that recently introduced member White Rabbit and their valet Brown Bunny have suddenly withdrawn from the tournament. In their place, Mysterious Q and FOR will be teaming with someone known only as JJ. While questions abound, the success Mysterious Q and his admirers have found in CORE is indisputable.

The Moondogs (Moondog Cooper, Moondog Tucker, and Moondog Oliver) - The latest iteration of the legendary Moondogs will be making their debut at Trios Kingdom. If history is any indication, we can expect to see some wild and violent action from these three individuals. The Moondogs guarantee a dangerous and unpredictable matchup for anyone in the tournament.

Rock 'n' Roll Express (Ricky Morton, Robert Gibson, and Kerry Morton) - After begging his father for an opportunity, Kerry Morton will get his shot at CORE action as he teams with the legendary tag team of Ricky and Robert. How they will fare outside of Senior Division competition remains to be seen, but their experience is unmatched, and that combined with Kerry's youthful enthusiasm could present a challenge to any opponent.

Burning Embers (Athena, Samuel Shaw, and JONAH) with Raychell Rose - When it came time to assemble a team for Trios Kingdom, Athena looked into her recent past and called on Samuel Shaw and JONAH to be her partners. The three having wrestled together successfully as 3/4s of an eight man tag match in the Orlando territory. When Raychell Rose was asked if she felt any resentment about not being selected, Athena answered that Raychell was very grateful for the opportunity to observe their tournament triumph from ringside.

Jericho Appreciation Society (Angelo Parker, Matt Menard, and Daniel Garcia) - Angelo Parker and Matt Menard are no strangers to Trios tournaments, having participated in previous Trios Kingdom action as well as smaller tournaments. Garcia also spent much of his early career competing around the northeast in multi-man tags with some of his Buffalo area travelling partners. This trios’ experience combined with the knowledge they have gained from Chris Jericho make them one of the on paper favorites to win it all.

BUG'S MUTATION (Ayumu Honda, Chicharito Shoki, and CHANGO) - Representing the 2AW office in Japan. Ayumu Honda, one of the cornerstones of 2AW, is a former three time Chiba Six-Max Tag Team champion. CHANGO, a near twenty year veteran of the sport, has competed all over Japan including being a three time six-man tag team champion in the GUTS World promotion. Chicharito Shoki, the young lion of the group and one of the first talents fully trained by the 2AW office since their rebranding from Kaientai Dojo, recently claimed the Big Japan affiliated Yokohama Shopping Street six-man tag team championship. While all three members have found six-man tag team gold on their own, they have yet to score any major championship or tournament wins as a faction. Could Trios Kingdom 2022 be their first?

Team Filthy (Tom Lawlor, Royce Isaacs, and Danny Limelight) - Representing New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Lawlor and Isaacs have continued to develop their tag team chemistry during Lawlor's recent tour of NJPW as part of the G1 Tournament. While having no shortage of choices on who would take the last spot in Team Filthy, Lawlor pointed to Danny Limelight's pinfall victory over The DKC during the ten man tag at NJPW Capital Collision to explain his pick.

The Last Wave (Josh Alexander, Titus Alexander, and Mr. Takeshita) - When asked to explain the new group he dubbed "The Last Wave", Josh Alexander described the trio as the best overall wrestler in the world today (himself), the best wrestler just now entering the prime of their career (Mr. Takeshita), and the best wrestling prospect (Titus Alexander). As Josh Alexander put it, one of these three men will be dominating pro-wrestling at various points for the next thirty years, so they are not the Next Wave, or the New Wave, but The Last Wave.

Team FIST (Tony Deppen, Travis Huckabee, and Chuck Taylor) - An all-star team of sorts, streamlined and free of any dead weight. Different generations unite for a common goal, winning Trios Kingdom 2022.

The Colony (Electro Ant, Ultimo Ant, and Fire Ant) - An unlikely but very welcome reunion. Electro Ant and Ultimo Ant have continued to develop their skills since winning a small, largely forgotten trios tournament in 2018, and with the return of Fire Ant, The Colony have to be one of the fan favorites to win it all.

The Chi Season 5  – Release date, Expected plot, Cast Recap And Other Exciting News That You Need To Know!

The premiere of the highly anticipated drama TV series, The Chi Season 5 is set to release this year in the coming months. With the announcement of The Chi Season 5’s release, fans have been elated to find out what happens next after the nail-biting, cliffhanger ending of the last season. Created by the Emmy Award winner, Lena Waithe, and produced by 20th Television, the show features diverse characters with depth and tells a compelling story about them, garnering a vast audience. Here is everything we know so far about the release of The Chi Season 5.  The Chi debuted with its first season on January 7, 2018, and has had four seasons up till now. The last episode aired in August 2021, comprising 10 episodes each. The show aired on Showtime, with all four seasons available for streaming online. Fans have been waiting for the new season for a while, eager to know what the show has in store with the cliffhanger ending that the fourth season had. The Chi Season 5 is likely to explain the ending of season 4 and also take the story further ahead. The new season is also expected to have 10 episodes like the previous seasons. 

The Chi Plot Summary

A tender touch and a genuine affection for its characters mark, the plot of The Chi is about life on the South Side of Chicago. The series is a current, unique coming-of-age drama that follows a half-dozen interconnected characters in Chicago's South Side. The Chi Series Recap

In the first two episodes, Jason and Coogie died, which affected how many people lived near the epicenter, depending on how far they were from the epicenter. For Jason's family, Ronnie, who seemed like a father to him, is devastated. Even though he was no longer connected to Jason or Jason's mother Tracy, it seemed as if Jason was his child for a while. Ronnie, however, makes the rash decision to kill Coogie after Jason dies, which has disastrous results. Brandon’s truck being robbed sets off a series of events that threatens his relationship with Jerrika and brings the cops into his life for reasons other than Coogie. Kevin's relationship with Maisha, for example, remains complex, especially when Papa and Jake see their developing closeness. Furthermore, he and Jake are exposed to how the students at Northside Academy live, and with Kevin's option to attend there comes the temptation to abandon his buddies. It appears that, with Brandon and Jerrika not returning for Season 3, he may find himself filling up for Brandon's time and responsibilities.

The Chi series Recap Emmett tries to change his mother's mind about him as he grows from an uninterested adolescent to a full-fledged businessman, but Jada is focused on her own next chapter. Ronnie is unclear about his life's purpose but believes it is yet possible to change. Kevin, Kiesha, and their wedded mothers, Nina and Dre, experience a life-changing event. Jake is torn between his estranged brother Trig and Douda, his strong new father-figure, while Papa finds love in the most unexpected of places. Kiesha is torn between two options that will affect her pregnant child's life. A run-in with the cops leaves Kevin, Jake, and Papa shaken. Emmett tells Tiff the truth. Jada receives some shocking information. Tiff finds a solution to her continuing relationship problems with her new spouse Emmett. Mayor Douda, Tracy, and Trig realize it's time to take matters into their own hands and safeguard the village. However, Jemma and Kevin have hit a snag in their relationship. Jake, Jemma, and Kevin plan a demonstration on campus.

The Chi Season 5 Plot

The Chi Season 5 will continue from the ending of The Chi Season 4 and it will most probably be a direct follow up from the events of The Chi Season 4. Fans got a sneak peek of The Chi Season 5 from the trailer that was recently uploaded on the show’s official YouTube Channel. After Jake had a violent incident with some officers, the latest season of The Chi centered on a community movement for police reform. Trig's solution was a neighborhood watch programme, but it's far from perfect.

The Chi Season 5 Plot The Chi Season 5 might also be bringing Douda as per some statements that were made by one of the showrunners of The Chi, Justin Hillian. The viewers will undoubtedly be satisfied with the reasoning behind Tiff and Emmett's confrontation. There is also plenty of room for development of Christian and Kiesha's relationship. The Chi Season 5, on the other hand, may also focus on Christian and Kiesha's romance arc. Season 5 will also focus on strengthening the community protection programme in South Chicago which is the main highlight of this series.  In The Chi Season 5, the residents will come together to try to alter the neighbourhood in addition to coping with their own issues. The video depicts residents of Chicago's South Side contending with rising crime rates, daily violence, and a lack of access to basic services.

The Chi Season 5 Release Date

The fourth season of The Chi aired in May 2021. Showtime immediately renewed the series for The Chi Season 5. Since then over the span of a year or so, Showtime did not disappoint the fans of the show. Fans will be delighted on getting the news that we are about to reveal. The Chi Season 5 Cast

The Chi Season 5 will see the return of the main cast and will also see the introduction of new characters who will be developed for the new season. The main cast and most of the supporting cast from the previous seasons will return for The Chi Season 5.

The Chi Season 5 Cast Jason Mitchell will return as Brandon Johnson with Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine as Ronnie Davis and Jacob Latimore as Emmett Washington. The Chi Season 5 will also see the return of Alex Hibbert as Kevin Williams, Tiffany Boone will be reprising her role of Jerrika Little and Yolonda Ross will return as Jada Washington along with Armando Riesco as Detective Cruz.

Greta Van Fleet One Shots: How You Meet

Josh: 

It was an unexpected turn of events, but Josh liked to refer to it as universal intervention. Every morning you walked ten minutes down the street to your favorite coffee shop to get something heavily caffeinated before holing yourself up in your art studio for the rest of the day. This morning activity had gone past routine a long time ago and had quickly become ritual. You had found out that walk was a great way for you to start your day for sculpting with clay. 

One rainy fall morning right before Halloween, you were surprised to see four young guys milling around the coffee shop seeming to enjoy the atmosphere while they discussed various pieces of art from local artists lining the walls. A few of the pieces of photography were yours from when you visited the Grand Canyon a couple summers ago, but since then, your attention had been focused on pottery. 

After a steaming latte was firmly secured in your hand and a hefty tip left for the baristas, you began to make your way back to the door as you planned out your day mentally. Before you could grab the door handle, one of the shorter guys from the group with curly hair quickly held the door for you with a breathtaking smile. You hadn’t been into photography in years, but you would’ve died on the spot to have captured that grin on camera. 

You offered your thanks quickly as you your face was suddenly on fire. He had to of known you were staring, but what you didn’t know was the he had been staring since you entered the coffee shop. 

“Hey! Wait! What’s your name,” the young man called after you as you stepped outside onto the sidewalk. The morning light made him squint his deep brown eyes as he stared at you, waiting on an answer. 

“I’m y/n,” you answered shyly as you pushed a stray piece of hair out of your face and nearly slapped yourself when you realized you totally forgot to ask his. Before you could open your mouth, he had already beat you the punch and leaned back against the building with his arms crossed and a confident grin on his face. 

“So, y/n....do you come here often?”  

Danny:

The music was so loud that you were sure your head would burst. You could feel the beat of the music in your the center of your chest as you sipped on your drink. Your friend, y/f/n, was friends with a drummer for a pretty famous band and they extended an invitation to their house party to kick off their new album release. While you though Greta Van Fleet was a weird name for a rock n’ roll band, you did like their music.

Bob Seger blared through the house as you continued the search for your friend. The body heat from the crowd was coming off in waves and making you feel dizzy. You were just ready to leave, but you couldn’t leave your friend behind. A tap on your shoulder had you turning quickly coming face to face with a tall guy with long black hair who offered you a friendly smile.

“Hey! I’m Danny. I’m friend’s with y/f/n too! She’s been looking all over for you,” he yelled over the music as he pointed in the direction of your friend who was jumping up and down trying to get your attention. You and Danny laughed as some random guy with long hair and a pink shirt started doing the same thing to make fun of her. 

“That’s Sam. He’s my best friend. It’s getting to be a bit much in here, so we’re all going to step out for a few minutes if you would like to join. Unfortunately, I don’t know everyone here tonight and I don’t want to leave you by yourself,” Danny yelled over the music with a kind look on his face. 

“Yeah! That would be great! I was actually getting a bit overwhelmed, so I’m glad you’re here dude,” you shouted back as you placed your hand in the crook of his offered elbow. As you two made your way to the edge of the room where your friends were waiting, people stumbled over each other to get your way and were yelling and patting Danny on the back. A sudden realization ran through body as you felt your eyes widen at the idea that this was the Danny from Greta Van Fleet.

Sam: 

You and Ronnie had been best friends for as long as you two could remember which meant her brothers annoyed you as much as they did her. Throughout your high school years, you honestly didn’t have a crush on any of them but found their friendship to be as irreplaceable as Ronnie’s. 

Once they made their big debut, you didn’t see them often and you and Ronnie both attended different colleges. In fact, you had a once in a lifetime opportunity to study abroad and couldn’t pass it up.The miles between you and Ronnie didn’t matter and you talked every single day and normally face-timed too. Any updates on the boys came from her or Karen. You did miss hanging out in the garage on the weekends and playing pranks, but as the days turned into years, you didn’t think much more of it. 

Finally, you were able to go home for a much needed visit after your year abroad and apparently, Ronnie and the boys would be home at the same time too. Quickly, you all made plans to hang out at the first possible moment and you were jittery with excitement on your flight back to US. 

After taking a couple days to catch up on some much needed rest, you were finally able to go hang out at the Kiszka house. When you got there, you didn’t even knock on the door and waltzed straight into the living room like you had always done. Ronnie and the boys were sprawled all over the furniture with the exception of Danny who always preferred the floor. Hearing your entrance, Ronnie let out a scream as she lept over the back of the couch and literally sent you sprawling to the ground with her on top of you. 

“Okay-Ronnie-Ronnie! Let go of my neck! I can’t breathe,” you croaked out as the only Kiszka girl finally loosened her death grip and helped you up. All the boys got up next to give you a quick hug, but you noticed one missing. 

“Where’s Sammy,” you asked as your heard his feet hitting the steps on his way down. With a huge grin, he made his way over to get a hug, but you felt yourself swallow quickly as you willed yourself not to blush. Little Sammy had apparently grown up on tour and Sam was the one approaching you with his arms outstretched. Giving you a tight squeeze, you could smell his shampoo from his long hair and willed your heart to slow down. 

You had never had a crush on any of Ronnie’s brothers, but that had quickly changed in less than a minute. 

Jake:

The radio was still playing as you hung upside down in your car. Your seat belt was the only thing holding you in place. You could taste the blood in your mouth and salty tears and blood ran into your hairline. Adrenaline was pumping through your veins as you scanned your surroundings and tried to remember how you ended up in the current situation, but nothing immediately came to mind which made you cry harder. You were sobbing when you could hear voices drifting through the shattered windshield. 

Despite the pain in your ribs and the tightness of the seat belt, you let out a blood curdling screech that ended in hiccups and sobs. A few moments later, you heard hurried footsteps and gravel crunching..

“Josh! Call 911!”

“Damn! How are we going to get her out? Should we move her?”

“I don’t know! Did anyone get that license plate? She was ran off the road!”

The voices blurred together and your eyes felt heavy. They began to flutter shut when a guy with long hair and a worried expression stuck his head in your car from the busted passenger side window. 

“Hey! Stay awake! I know you’re tired, but you have to stay awake. What’s your name,” he asked gently as he wiggled into the car and grabbed on of your hands. The calluses were a drastic difference to your soft palms and he absentmindedly ran his thumb over the back of your hand. 

“Y/n. It’s y/n,” you stuttered out. 

“It’s nice to meet you. Help’s on the way, okay? I’m Jacob, but I go by Jake. I wish we had met in better circumstances, but you have super pretty eyes,” he said with a soft smile. 

“I’m scared, Jake,” you said as a new flood of tears ran into your hairline. 

“I know. I’m going to stay right here. You’re not alone. I promise,” Jake said with sincerity as he continued to comfort you. 

On the verge of bleeding out, you honestly were wondering if he wasn’t your guardian angel.
