Final Chats with LIs and recoupling intro

&LOVERSNOOK: Alfie

You find Alfie chilling at the beanbags.

PLAYER_IDLE: Hey, Alf. Can we talk?

ALFIE_HAPPY: Of course, {0}. Make yourself comfortable.

You sit down on one of the other beanbags.

ALFIE_EMBARRASSED: So, I’ll admit I’m starting to get a little shaky now.

PLAYER_SURPRISED: Why’s that?

ALFIE_IDLE: I know you said you wanted to give it a go with me.

ALFIE_HAPPY: And I’m still over the moon about it.

ALFIE_SERIOUS: I guess that Suresh ring drama just rattled me a bit.

ALFIE_EMBARRASSED: And I could understand if maybe you’d changed your mind. And if so…

Alfie trails off.

ALFIE_SERIOUS: Well, after our chat earlier.

ALFIE_SAD: I’ve realised that I could actually be going home tonight.

PLAYER_EMBARRASSED: I guess we all could.

ALFIE_IDLE: I hadn’t really considered it could happen. It kind of slipped my mind.

PLAYER_SURPRISED: How could you not have thought about it?

ALFIE_SERIOUS: I don’t really know. I guess my mind has been elsewhere.

ALFIE_FLIRTY: You know me, {0}, I’m a hopeless romantic.

ALFIE_HAPPY: And a hopeless romantic doesn’t daydream about being dumped.

ALFIE_SAD: Even if it’s pretty likely.

ALFIE_SERIOUS: Or about being sent home with his tail between his legs.

ALFIE_FLIRTY: He’s still too busy thinking about weddings, kids, and barbeques.

PLAYER_HAPPY: Still feeling optimistic then, Alfie?

ALFIE_HAPPY: Always.

ALFIE_SAD: Even if it won’t be with you. Still hopeful I’ll find love.

ALFIE_IDLE: And I think part of the reason why I haven’t lost hope is because of you.

PLAYER_SURPRISED: What do you mean?

ALFIE_IDLE: Well, getting to know you has really helped me grow as a person.

ALFIE_IDLE: Seeing you go through everything that you have with Suresh.

ALFIE_IDLE: How you don’t let the past determine how you’re gonna live your life.

ALFIE_IDLE: Even if our story ends with us being friends.

ALFIE_IDLE: You’ve taught me that I need to stop holding back.

ALFIE_IDLE: To stop being afraid of being hurt.

ALFIE_IDLE: And I’ll always be grateful to you for that.

PLAYER_HAPPY: That’s lovely to hear.

ALFIE_SAD: Somebody like Meera might have seemed like a good match for me, but…

ALFIE_FLIRTY: She never made me feel alive like you do.

Alfie smiles sincerely at you.

You stand up from the beanbag.

ALFIE_IDLE: No matter what happens, I’m so happy that I got to know you, {0}.

PLAYER_HAPPY: Thanks, Alfie.

ALFIE_IDLE: No worries. I’ll see you at the firepit.

&ROOFTERRACE: Finn

You find Finn sitting on the terrace.

PLAYER_HAPPY: Hey, Finn. Can we have a chat?

FINN_HAPPY: Sure thing, {0}.

You sit down beside Finn.

FINN_HAPPY: Not long to go now.

PLAYER_IDLE: How are you feeling, Finn?

FINN_IDLE: I’m feeling all kinds of stuff at the moment.

FINN_IDLE: I thought I might be torn between more than one girl at this point.

FINN_IDLE: But, I didn’t expect to be torn for the reasons that I am.

PLAYER_IDLE: And what are they?

FINN_FLIRTY: Well, I assumed I’d end up coupled with the girl I was most attracted to.

FINN_EMBARRASSED: It sounds daft, but my feelings have gotten far deeper than that.

PLAYER_SURPRISED: Really?

FINN_FLIRTY: Yep. I think that getting to know the real you has been huge for me.

FINN_FLIRTY: But there's a lot that's still a mystery about you. Which is frankly, really hot.

FINN_FLIRTY: Red hot, actually. Just like the fun we had in the shower.

PLAYER_FLIRTY: That was something wasn’t it?

FINN_FLIRTY: It certainly was, beour.

FINN_FLIRTY: It's kind of fun not knowing what's around the corner.

FINN_FLIRTY: Part of me wishes I’d had more time with you this summer.

PLAYER_FLIRTY: Oh, really?

FINN_FLIRTY: But then I don’t want to live with regret either.

PLAYER_EMBARRASSED: What about you and Kat?

FINN_EMBARRASSED: Kat is great, and spending time with her has been a lot of fun.

FINN_IDLE: Don’t get me wrong, I really care about her too.

FINN_FLIRTY: But if the choice is up to me, I’ll be picking you, {0}.

Finn smiles charmingly at you.

FINN_FLIRTY: I know I’m not really the marrying type.

FINN_FLIRTY: But, you could say that I’m becoming more open to being tied down.

FINN_IDLE: Don’t expect me to change who I am though, {0}.

FINN_HAPPY: Why would anybody want me to change? I’m perfect in my own weird way.

FINN_FLIRTY: And you’re perfect just as you are.

PLAYER_HAPPY: Do you think so?

Finn laughs.

FINN_FLIRTY: Course I do. You’ve got to love the person for who they are.

FINN_FLIRTY: If you’re with me. We can both be true to ourselves.

FINN_HAPPY: I think we could be great together.

PLAYER_EMBARRASSED: And what about Kat? She still has no idea about the shower the other night.

FINN_SAD: Kat would be angry, obviously, but I need to do what’s right for me now.

PLAYER_SERIOUS: I think Kat would be more than angry. She told me earlier.

FINN_SERIOUS: For sure. But I’ve got to go with the person I can see a future with.

FINN_HAPPY: And I’ve realised that you are that person, {0}.

FINN_FLIRTY: So, {0}, how does coupling up with me sound?

PLAYER_FLIRTY: Yeah, I’ll probably pick you at the recoupling, Finn.

FINN_HAPPY: Really? That’s great news, {0}.

PLAYER_FLIRTY: Sounds like we’re in for an eventful ride then, Finn.

FINN_SAD: Really? That’s a real shame. But your mind’s your own.

FINN_IDLE: And that’s one of the things I’ve always loved about you.

FINN_SAD: Well, I hope whoever you choose treats you like the rose that you are.

PLAYER_EMBARRASSED: I’ve still not made my mind up.

You stand up and look back at Finn.

FINN_IDLE: No matter what happens, I’ve had a hell of a time with you, beour.

FINN_HAPPY: And I’ll never forget that kiss.

PLAYER_HAPPY: Thanks, Finn.

FINN_IDLE: No need to thank me. See you down at the firepit, {0}.

PLAYER_IDLE: See you there.

&BEDROOM: Suresh

You walk into the bedroom and find Suresh fiddling with his suitcase.

PLAYER_IDLE: Hey, Suresh. Mind a quick chat?

SURESH_HAPPY: Of course not, {0}. I’ve always got time for you.

You sit down on the edge of a nearby bed.

PLAYER_IDLE: What are you doing with your suitcase?

SURESH_IDLE: I was just putting things in place, just in case.

PLAYER_SURPRISED: In case you get dumped?

SURESH_EMBARRASSED: Yep.

PLAYER_IDLE: Do you think that’s likely?

Suresh sits down beside you on the bed.

SURESH_IDLE: Well, I’d normally back myself, but I can’t stop thinking about the door.

SURESH_SAD: Maybe Gabi did the right thing? Maybe what I’m looking for isn’t here.

SURESH_SAD: It’s not like this has been a successful trip for me.

SURESH_SAD: I’ve messed things up from the moment I set foot in here.

SURESH_EMBARRASSED: You were right to push me in the pool when you first saw me.

SURESH_EMBARRASSED: You should have pushed me in the pool when you first saw me.

SURESH_SAD: Nothing has turned out how I hoped it would.

SURESH_SERIOUS: I came in with some kind of plan.

SURESH_EMBARRASSED: And then when Gabi turned up, everything just went out the window.

PLAYER_SERIOUS: Why didn’t you tell me about her sooner?

SURESH_EMBARRASSED: I should have, I know that now.

SURESH_EMBARRASSED: I convinced myself that keeping my relationship with Gabi secret was a good idea.

SURESH_EMBARRASSED: I figured that if I could win you back, and move forward, I needed to bury the past.

PLAYER_EMBARRASSED: Did you really think that would work?

SURESH_SAD: I thought maybe you could’ve forgiven me for a one night thing.

SURESH_SAD: But, I knew I wouldn’t stand a chance if you knew it was more than that.

SURESH_SERIOUS: Seeing Gabi again did do some good though.

PLAYER_EMBARRASSED: What good did it do?

SURESH_SERIOUS: It showed me that you didn’t deserve to be caught up in all the drama I created.

SURESH_SAD: That was when I realised that it was best for me to leave you alone.

SURESH_SAD: And try not to be a part of your life.

PLAYER_EMBARRASSED: If you don’t want to be a part of my life, why are you still here?

SURESH_IDLE: I thought Gabi might have a motive that would cause you trouble.

PLAYER_SURPRISED: Like what?

SURESH_SAD: I don’t know. She was always impulsive and I could never fully read her.

SURESH_SERIOUS: All I knew is I hurt her, like I hurt you. And I wasn’t sure how she’d react.

SURESH_IDLE: So, I figured it best to stay and make sure that you’re ok.

SURESH_SAD: The truth is, no matter how we were back in the day…

SURESH_SAD: I’ve done nothing but cause you problems since we met.

SURESH_SAD: It's true though, I do love you, maybe I always will.

SURESH_SAD: But I feel like leaving now is the right thing to do.

He stands up and puts his hands on his suitcase. He is silent for a moment.

SURESH_FLIRTY: But then again, when have I ever done the right thing?

Suresh turns back and smiles at you.

SURESH_IDLE: I’ve been in this from the beginning.

SURESH_FLIRTY: I should see it through to the end.

SURESH_FLIRTY: So, {0}, do you know who you’re going to couple up with?

I'll probably couple up with you, Suresh

PLAYER_FLIRTY: Yeah, I think I’ll pick you at the recoupling.

SURESH_EMBARRASSED: Really? After everything?

PLAYER_HAPPY: We’ve been through a lot together, haven’t we?

SURESH_FLIRTY: We have. I just want you to do what’s right for you.

SURESH_HAPPY: All I’ve ever wanted is for you to be happy.

SURESH_HAPPY: Whether that’s with me or with someone else. That’s all that matters now.

PLAYER_SERIOUS: I’m going to pick somebody else.

SURESH_SAD: Oh. No probs. It’s your decision after all.

SURESH_EMBARRASSED: Can’t say I blame you for feeling that way after everything.

SURESH_IDLE: And I don’t want to try and change your mind anymore.

PLAYER_IDLE: That’s good to hear.

SURESH_SAD: I probably never should have tried. I’m sorry, {0}.

SURESH_SAD: For everything.

SURESH_SERIOUS: I am glad I’ve got closure now though.

SURESH_SAD: Even if it does sting a bit.

SURESH_HAPPY: This can’t be an easy call with everything you’ve been through in here.

SURESH_SAD: For everything.

You stand up and turn to leave the bedroom.

SURESH_IDLE: I’m glad we went through all this together, {0}.

You look back at Suresh.

SURESH_HAPPY: I’ve definitely grown and changed through the experience.

SURESH_HAPPY: Even though it’s too late for you and me, I’m definitely a better person than I was.

SURESH_SERIOUS: So, thank you for that, {0}.

You look deep into Suresh’s eyes. He smiles at you.

SURESH_HAPPY: Anyway, I’ll see you down at the firepit.

&LIVINGROOM: Lulu

You find Lulu relaxing alone in the living room.

PLAYER_HAPPY: Hey, Lulu. Fancy a chat?

LULU_HAPPY: Sure, what’s up, {0}?

You sit down on the sofa beside Lulu.

PLAYER_IDLE: Are you ready for the recoupling?

LULU_IDLE: As ready as I’ll ever be.

LULU_IDLE: I’m chill. I’ve managed to get this far. I must be doing something right.

LULU_HAPPY: I survived the couples’ compatibility vote. Despite being with Suresh.

LULU_HAPPY: Then I survived the public vote.

LULU_HAPPY: Not a bad success rate.

LULU_HAPPY: I might survive this one too.

PLAYER_HAPPY: You’re sounding positive, Lulu.

LULU_HAPPY: I can’t see a reason not to be, {0}.

Lulu pauses for a moment.

LULU_IDLE: When I entered Casa Amor, I had such high hopes of finding love.

LULU_IDLE: I know Casa is always about the drama, but I still had hope.

LULU_HAPPY: When I started chatting to Suresh it felt like things were looking good.

LULU_EMBARRASSED: But, coming back with him, meeting you, and…

LULU_SAD: …Finding out about your past.

LULU_SAD: I saw how much you’d been through.

LULU_SAD: And how you didn’t deserve any of it.

LULU_EMBARRASSED: And then I felt a bit silly being with Suresh.

LULU_SAD: Especially when he was distracted by Gabi.

LULU_SAD: So with everything going on with you, Suresh and her, I felt like I was invisible.

LULU_SAD: That was when I realised that Suresh never wanted me in the first place.

PLAYER_SAD: Sorry, that can’t have felt great.

LULU_IDLE: It didn’t, but I’ve just tried to have fun and get on with everyone.

LULU_FLIRTY: But, I’d sure like one final shot at the real thing before I go home.

LULU_HAPPY: I’ve enjoyed the island part of this trip, but I’d also like a taste of the love too.

LULU_HAPPY: I feel like you’ve been so mixed up in all the villa drama this whole time!

PLAYER_EMBARRASSED: Tell me about it!

LULU_FLIRTY: Feels like I haven’t got to know you as well as I’d have liked to.

LULU_HAPPY: But I’ve always had fun being around you.

LULU_FLIRTY: And when we kissed during ‘Snog, Marry, Pie’ I felt butterflies.

LULU_IDLE: I wasn’t sure if you felt them too, or if it was just a challenge kiss.

LULU_HAPPY: But either way, I liked it. You’re a great kisser.

PLAYER_HAPPY: Thanks, Lulu. Glad you appreciate my skills.

LULU_FLIRTY: And when you married me during ‘Snog, Marry, Pie’.

LULU_IDLE: I wasn’t sure if it was just a bit of challenge fun.

LULU_HAPPY: Maybe even a chance to wind Suresh up.

LULU_FLIRTY: But I kinda felt some butterflies when you picked me.

LULU_FLIRTY: I’m not sure if you felt them too.

LULU_HAPPY: I guess what I’m saying is I’d like to get to know you more.

LULU_SAD: Things haven’t really worked out for me so far.

LULU_HAPPY: But I can’t think of someone I’d rather couple up with now.

LULU_FLIRTY: So, if you’re attracted to me, maybe we could explore our connection.

LULU_FLIRTY: And maybe end this thing together?

You find Dana sipping her water bottle in the kitchen.

PLAYER_IDLE: Hey, Dana. Room for one more?

DANA_HAPPY: Always.

You lean up against the kitchen counter.

DANA_IDLE: Well, I suggested you chat to the people you’re considering coupling up with.

DANA_SURPRISED: Does this mean you’re considering picking me, {0}?

I’m open to picking you

PLAYER_FLIRTY: Of course I’m open to coupling up with you.

PLAYER_HAPPY: You suggested I speak to the people I’m interested in, and here I am.

DANA_HAPPY: That makes me a very happy Dana.

PLAYER_HAPPY: I’m happy you’re happy.

DANA_HAPPY: I’m happy that you’re happy that I’m happy. If that makes sense?

Dana laughs.

PLAYER_EMBARRASSED: I’m not thinking about coupling up with you, Dana.

PLAYER_IDLE: I know you said to have a final chat with the people I might pick.

PLAYER_HAPPY: But I just wanted to chat to you again as a friend.

DANA_HAPPY: Yeah, that’s cool. Touched you found the time for me.

DANA_HAPPY: I’ve always valued your friendship here.

DANA_EMBARRASSED: Well, I didn’t think I’d be in this situation.

PLAYER_IDLE: What do you mean?

DANA_EMBARRASSED: This close to the end, and my partner walks out on me.

PLAYER_IDLE: Don’t be so hard on yourself, Dana.

PLAYER_IDLE: Like you said, you knew Gabi came here to get the truth from Suresh.

DANA_IDLE: Yeah, but I still believe her that the attraction was genuine between us.

DANA_SERIOUS: Even if it was never meant to be.

DANA_FLIRTY: But, it’s nice to know that you’re still considering me as an option.

DANA_FLIRTY: That’s great to hear.

Dana looks out from the kitchen. Casting her gaze around the villa.

DANA_HAPPY: Spending my summer here with you is something I’ll never forget.

DANA_HAPPY: And we’ve had so much fun together.

DANA_SAD: I know it’s not been perfect, and there’s been some ups and downs.

DANA_IDLE: But, that’s all part of getting to know people I suppose.

DANA_HAPPY: And I’m so glad that I got to know you.

PLAYER_HAPPY: Thanks, Dana.

DANA_HAPPY: That’s okay, {0}.

DANA_HAPPY: I knew we’d have a laugh from the moment we met.

DANA_HAPPY: I could tell straight away you were gonna be a spice-bomb in the villa.

DANA_IDLE: And, through everything, I still think you’re amazing.

DANA_HAPPY: And I really hope you find the person you’re looking for.

PLAYER_HAPPY: Thank you, Dana. I appreciate that.

DANA_EMBARRASSED: I sound a bit melty right now, I know.

DANA_IDLE: But, I’m not really gonna have another chance to say this stuff to you.

DANA_FLIRTY: So, I might as well get it all out.

DANA_FLIRTY: What I mean is, I feel there could be something more to us.

DANA_FLIRTY: Something that could grow after we leave here.

DANA_EMBARRASSED: I mean, I think we could be good together, outside of here.

DANA_IDLE: I’m gonna be heading back up to Manchester.

DANA_FLIRTY: And I think it would be kinda cool if you wanted to come visit me.

DANA_HAPPY: I could show you around The Village. Maybe even show you my bar.

DANA_HAPPY: I might even finally get up on stage and tell some weird jokes?

PLAYER_HAPPY: You and your jokes, Dana.

DANA_HAPPY: Having you there to cheer me on would make me feel so confident.

DANA_HAPPY: You kinda make me feel like I can do anything.

Dana smiles sincerely at you.

DANA_EMBARRASSED: Anyway, I’m rambling again.

DANA_EMBARRASSED: I hope you understand what I’m saying.

DANA_EMBARRASSED: Or maybe I just made a fool of myself… again!

DANA_HAPPY: Anyway, {0}, my cards are on the table. Over to you.

You’re walking across the lawn when your phone pings.

PLAYER_SURPRISED: I’ve got a text!

The other Islanders gather around you.

ALFIE_SURPRISED: I guess this is it.

DANA_EMBARRASSED: Oh, the butterflies are starting again.

You read out the text.

LITEXT: Islanders, it’s time for the final recoupling. Please gather around the firepit. {0}GoBigOrGoHome {1}FinalDecision

FINN_SERIOUS: No point waiting around.

KAT_SERIOUS: Let’s get this done.

SURESH_IDLE: It’s all been building towards this.

LULU_IDLE: Are you nervous about the recoupling, {0}?

Yeah, I’m nervous

PLAYER_SAD: Yep. The nerves are kicking in.

PLAYER_SAD: And even though me and Gabi are a sure thing, it's still nerve-wracking.

LULU_IDLE: Well, try not to worry too much. You’re a winner no matter what happens.

LULU_HAPPY: You’ve brought all the vibes this summer.

No, I’m not nervous

PLAYER_FLIRTY: Of course I’m not. This is gonna be a breeze.

LULU_IDLE: There’s still a chance you might get dumped later though.

PLAYER_HAPPY: I’m feeling too confident to be dumped.

PLAYER_HAPPY: Me and Gabi are a sure thing!

LULU_HAPPY: Love that energy.

I’m unsure

PLAYER_SAD: I’m all over the place at the minute.

PLAYER_SAD: And even though me and Gabi are a sure thing, the occasion is still daunting.

LULU_IDLE: Well, just try to stay chill. It’s not the end of the world.

You and the other Islanders make your way silently to the firepit.

The Islanders sit around the firepit, the air is still, the atmosphere tense.

A phone pings. It’s yours.

PLAYER_SURPRISED: Here we go.

LITEXT: {0}, please stand beside the firepit. It’s time to make your final recoupling decision.

You stand up and walk towards the flames at the centre of the firepit.

You stop and turn to face the rest of the Islanders.

Alfie, Dana, Finn, Kat, Lulu, and Suresh all have their eyes fixed on you. This is it.

Who are you going to choose?

PLAYER_SERIOUS: The Islander I would like to couple up with is…

NARRATOR: The final recoupling is upon us and {0} has jumped in and bagged Gabi before proceedings have even begun!

NARRATOR: But who will the other Islanders take a leap of faith with?

NARRATOR: And whose hopes are about to take a crash landing?
