Hogwarts Legacy, and the Builds inside the Game:

While most might prefer the Dark Arts build (as did I when I did my first play through), it is more fun and versatile to incorporate herbology and potions so it didn't become monotonous or boring when you enter a duel.

More under the cut-off:

It would keep the body count low so that the Voldemort and Grindelwald are still one of the Darkest Wizards who have a massive body count. Because if you're like me, in my first play through, I abused the crap out of the Cruciatus Curse and the Killing Curse just because I could. But toward the end of the story, it's crazy that you're so well-regarded as a hero but also a mass murderer on the side when you're not in classes.

(I admit that I do love using the Imperius Curse, though)

Halfway through my first play through, I realized that I was more inclined to use herbology and potions in combat rather than the Cursed because it was more fun and gave me more of reason to grow a whole garden in the Room of Requirment (that, and I love the Hufflepuff aesthetic more in the RoR due to all the nature-themed items but I love the Slytherin Common Room more).

The fact that I have two magical menageries in my RoR but also head into the Dark Arena doesn't fit the ear right to me.

I get HL on Switch tomorrow and I intend to go about my second play through in a role play stance, rather than the first timer I was and just wanting to experience everything.

(Though the struggle to always use a hippogriff rather than fly will be a constant, owing to the fact that the broom is faster and smoother but I believe my animal-loving Slytherin would opt for a Hagrid approach).

-Hercules- He’s not smiling. He’s not smiling. He’s not- he’s smiling- a snort of laughter leaving him before he laughs out loud, holding his belly by your clever comeback.

-Jack- Instantly went to confront the teacher, demanding to know if they tried to insult you. Once you were off the hook, her ruffled your head, “Witty smart alack!” which made you giggle.

-Shiva- Oh hell no! Nobody is gonna treat his baby like that and get away from it! Your teacher was quick to learn fear and quick to learn that if they wanted to be rude, there would be consequences. Once you left, he had to pause to sit down after he started laughing so hard he couldn’t breathe.

-Raiden- Is quickly going to be on the ground, twitching from laughing so hard, hearing how easily you turned the teacher’s words on them.

-Buddha- Twitching on the ground part 2, he is crying from laughing so hard, finding it hysterical before he praised you and gave you a lollipop.

-Hades- Another scary guardian who put the fear of Hades himself into your teacher, getting a quick and harsh lesson in respect but he was proud of you for standing up for yourself.

-Qin Shi Huang- He’s chuckling first, then laughing, then crying, then laughing so hard there is no sound coming out from him until he started to gasp, holding his sides from the pain from laughing so hard.

-Beelzebub- His lips struggle to remain still but you quickly see a smile as he chuckles softly, praising you for you wit and quick response.

-Tesla- Frowns at first when he heard that you had gotten detention, but once he learns what the teacher had said to you, and what you said in response, you were off the hook, your teacher wasn’t so lucky, as he went in, demanding a meeting with the teacher and the principal, showing why, as a genius himself, that education should be treated seriously, and teachers shouldn’t be talking to students like that.

Hades

Exigent and paternal at the same time. He wants you to do your best and sometimes keeps repeating to you to study study and study again... but he is also the type to sit near you and stay by your side while listening at you repeating the lesson, reassuring and comforting you, giving you a lot of advices to learn better and faster.

He surely brings you to the glory.

Kintoki

Very calm, he doesn't push you to do anything and smiles at you often, especially if he sees you nervous about the test. With every page you turn he showers you with sweets, pats on the head and back and reassurances. He asks you questions specifically to make you think and rewards you every time you know the answer. With him you come prepared to the exam… and probably saturated with sweets.

Confucius

The cheerleader. Confucius is always by your side to cheer you up: he brings you water and snacks, gives you a shoulder massage, asks you if everything is okay, if you are ready, if you feel calm, if something hurts… In the end, you have to gag and tie him up so you can study. And he even accepts, if he can still stay by your side and give you all his support. A good boy certified.

Also, the day of the exam, he nearly cries and screams your name like a mad man. A bit embarassing, but totally sweet.

Shiva

He does the lucky dances to help you, and the funny thing is that they work: or at least, they make you laugh so much that all the anxiety goes away and you find yourself learning everything without difficulty, with tranquility and quickly. The test goes great, and you had already guessed this, and now a new challenge presents itself: trying to slow down Shiva, because now he gives himself all the credit for the victory and doesn't want to listen to reason.

Okita

This golden child sits by your side and keeps you company every time you study, bobbing up and down with his adorable ponytail and baby-like smile as he listens to you repeat patiently. He often corrects you even if you say something wrong, or comments on your words and gives you an opinion on how you do repeat, if everything is clear or if you need to be more confident. A calming presence… but remember to take care of yourself, or he will tear you away from the books, dragging you away as soon as he gets tired and then forces you to follow him elsewhere.

Loki and Anubis

These two threaten professors and teachers that if they don't let you pass the exam, then they will be the ones who won't pass the night. Because of the study you cannot give them the attention they deserve, and this is already a huge affront; even more, if the professors don't let you pass, then they really asked for the war, and then the difficult thing will be to avoid a massacre and keep everyone safe.

Bishamonten and Benzaiten

Bishamonten is inflexible: he wants you to do your duty and well, he monitors your progress and questions you at the end of the day; however, once you have done your work, it allows you to relax and doesn't make you pull all-nighters, because he knows it is counterproductive, and rather pushes you to give your best during the moments when you are most active. Benzaiten, on the other hand, would do nothing but cuddle you and is sorry to see you bent over books for hours, so, like a good Goddess of Knowledge, she stands by you gently and gives you the energy you need. Often she and Bisha get into arguments because they have different visions of the matter, and then goodbye to study.

The Science Crew

Confucius pt. 2, especially Edison and Einstein, but there is also the ingenious component: together they do their utmost to teach you everything they know, repeat it a thousand times and make you learn it in a uncountable ways, until you know everything perfectly and, above all, you have learned it by reasoning. It will take time and in fact they are not in a hurry, what matters is that you understand the subject thoroughly and it is not something you learn just because you have to, and in this they prove to be excellent teachers, patient and proud. Whatever happens.

Adam

He is proud of you regardless, whether you pass the exam or not. He doesn't care that much, nothing, nothing could make him lose the respect he has for you. Studying isn't everything in life and not all of us have to succeed, for him it is enough to see your commitment, and how it goes, without too much drama.

Apollo

He doesn't care if you pass your test or not, but this god wants you not to forget to take care of yourself; therefore, while you study, he styles your hair, keeps you tidy, puts on your make-up, arranges your clothes, intersperses observations with beauty advice, and when necessary he lifts you by taking you under the armpits, takes you off the table and forces you to take a walk in nature, to regenerate yourself and let you breathe beneficial air. Every day he checks that you get enough sleep, that you don't forget to eat and drink, and that you take a relaxing bath to reward yourself. And if you don't, well, then he steps in. And at this point there's nothing you can do against him-

He always answers as normal, never cracking a smile, nor does he show a frown of any kind while doing so. It’s impossible to catch him in any kind of act as if he’s a delinquent. Not anymore, at least.

• Jack happens to be friends with Heracles as well. But it’s odd to others as to how they had been through that said process. Perhaps it could have been an enemies to friends type of thing in middle school? Heracles never did confirm anything, even if he’s close to giving it away in some shape or form. Yet, Jack always silences him before he can say anything else, and leads the attention away.

• He himself is a student of both good grades, and tends to be polite as he speaks. He makes for a good enforcer, as he knows exactly when people lie, or when people are doing what they’re not supposed to be doing. But still, Jack isn’t a teacher’s pet. He does things his own way, and doesn’t need a teacher’s help unless it’s truly necessary.

• The man is usually closed off to all people that approach him, even if he is polite, and smiles at times. Which is why certain people love him, and certain people hate him. It’s honestly debatable to others because of how he is and his standing at school.

• However, it’s not as if he’s completely closed off. There are some like Heracles that have managed to get past his own closed off walls. And that goes for you too. You are someone that has managed to slowly get past him, and of course knows what he was in the past. Yet, you never do talk about it either unless he wants to, in which he’s glad of.

• Work as a Student Council President can be tiring, even with other people in the group helping along as much as they can. But it isn’t too bad when you come in every now and then to give him tea and a few minutes of affection. He’s glad for you, and wants to let you know, even if he really only has time on the weekends.

• It does have him slightly sad though. To know he only has time for you in weekends, with only rare days for him to stay near you. Those days seem to go so fast, especially when he enjoys them so much with you. However, he gets relieved whenever you look at him with that same color. You always wave or greet him whenever you see him, whether that be while he’s in the halls or you see him in a certain room.

• Of course, he smiles softly or waves in reply.

• It’s rumored that whenever someone tries to flirt with you, they will feel a burning gaze in the back of their head. However, whenever they turn, they don’t see anyone around unless it’s Heracles. But if someone is bold enough to flirt with you while Jack is next to you, they’re getting the most dead stare of all from the man.

• Of course, no one has ever seen him mad. Which was why the thought itself was terrifying to pretty much anyone. And is also why they don’t mess with you unless someone is a new student, and a sort of bully. They’ll learn though-

• In short, Jack does tend to be very busy. However, when he’s available, he’ll make the time with you as worth it as possible.

• Ah, the music teacher. Hermes does tend to be mysterious, even to his own students, which already has him in the infatuated category. But, from what the people rumor, he already has a special someone. Yet, it’s never been confirmed, as he never tells anyone of his personal life. Not even Zeus, the Principal, would tell anyone about Hermes’ personal life, and would shake the question off with a weak laugh.

• Though, while no one knows anything about him, mostly, he knows every single speck of tea that goes on. Someone cheated on their significant other? He knows. Someone got caught sucking dick in the second floor bathroom? He knows. There’s going to be a fight somewhere? He knows, and will watch in a private spot. But, he will eventually stop said fight if it goes too far.

• As normal, Hermes I’d more talented in the violin or viola, but does know how to play other instruments, as he does get bored of certain ones. So, it’s no wonder that he’s a Music Teacher. But the amount of times he has to tune instruments has him regretting becoming a music teacher at times. The band students are also sometimes very… crackhead-like-

• Naturally, Hermes us very respectful of others. While he does get somewhat annoyed at times, he always keeps his calm exterior until he gets home. That man definitely sighs and removes his tie once he gets home.

• But still, he does seem to spend more time with Ares, a sub for the Physical Education. In fact, those two seem to spill tea, which is where others get the info. From Ares, because he never seems to know when to keep his mouth shut- Still, Hermes doesn’t mind. In fact, he gets amused whenever he hears the gossip. It gives him better chance to hear new tea as well-

(I don’t ship Jack and hlokk and I don’t see the appeal in it, and I don’t ship Jack and Heracles or Noah there “from enemies to bros” please don’t ship them. Actually I don’t ship any of these characters together.)

Sorry to disappoint you, but I’m not up to date with Jack’s manga, so I know Alaric only from his introduction moment and for me that's not enough to write about him 😅

Before I start, because this is an alternate universe, I assumed that each character grew up in a normal family. So:

Jack’s mother is alive, but she has her episodes of uncontrollable rage. His father never was in the picture.

Herakles has an average family.

Noah is also raised by a single mother, but Anne is a really good, if not the best, parent. He has only one adopted sibling - Luna - to keep things simple.

Jack isn’t sure how to feel about this kind of project, but it’s school assignment, so he accepts the challenge. The teacher said that the project will prepare students for the future and even if Jack doesn’t see himself having children, he still has no intention of running away like his father did, if things don't turn out the way he wants.

His own mother didn't set a good example for him, but Jack still remembers her kind and gentle side from his youth and tries his best to act like it around the child. This seems to work as the baby doesn't seem upset.

Jack learns everything the hard way, for example: he feeds the baby, but he doesn't know that he has to make it burp to avoid spitting up. His mother doesn’t help him, so he’s on his own. It’s a process of trial and error.

It’s not a real baby and Jack can’t read its emotions. He can only rely on reading body language and he panics a bit whenever baby starts crying.

Jack is a light sleeper, so the moment the baby starts crying, he's already there. Interestingly, this does not affect his daily routine.

Herakles

Being great example for his peers in almost everything, Herakles isn’t scared of this school project, but oh boy… he really didn’t expect THAT. Run around the school twenty times, stay after school, helping with chores - no problem, but taking care of such a small fragile thing? He has a younger cousins and he used to play with them when parents very busy, but he didn’t realize that was only the tip of the iceberg!

He is so gentle with the baby, even if it’s just a toy, he’s scared he can hurt it. For the very first time being tall and muscular doesn’t help at all.

When he is sure that he has taken care of everything and can finally put the baby to sleep, he is very confused when the baby starts crying again. The mother must explain to him that children do not understand what being tired means or how to fix it. They cry because that is their main form of communicating with others.

Poor Herakles, he's always so punctual, but because of his new duties he doesn't get enough sleep and is late for school or training. How embarrassing.

After few days, he gains more and more respect for his parents.

Noah

Actually, the student who gets the highest grade. He took care of Luna when she was younger, and with Anne as a great parent example, he just makes it seems easy.

When he brings the baby home on the first day, he messes with Luna a bit and asks her for help. She refused offended, but secretly she would like to play with such an amazing doll. They live a modest life and all her toys were from Noah and other children. Such an opportunity may never come again.

Of course, Noah knows that Luna is secretly taking care of the baby and he doesn't mind at all. Seeing his sister happy makes him happy, even if they would both deny it.

Noah does everything that needs to be done and nothing more. He takes the responsibility seriously, but he doesn’t care much about the toy. Let’s be real, why would he?

In this case I feel the correct answer is "canon" due I made her 🤣🤣, but anyway...:

- her full name is Phoebe Maffei, born from an italian family (in Sicily) which now lives in England (sometimes go there for vacations);

- Phoebe speak both italian and english;

- her proffesion is being a florist;

- she and Jennifer meeted each other at university. Jennifer was pretty much the "lone wolf" on the place and Phoebe decided to know her out of curiosity, due the students shared so many "gossips/missinformarions" around Jennifer past;

- she dont have problems to bring up what is going on in her mind. Indeed she talks a lot, while Jennifer, compared, is more private and silent around her troughts;

- did punched someone in the face at one point (it was due this journalist bothered Jennifer over stuff around her novels);

- she used to know Bernadette (another RoR oc) since childhood due they both grow up on an location mainly lived by italians (i still need to think what England city to make it work so... wait for such answer XD);

- she planned at one point to gift a dog for Jennifer Bday but realized was truly a bad idea... so instead got a new typewriter;

- there is a specific rule between them to not "bring british cousine" to her parents, due last time Jennifer cooked for them... a discussion abt food happened (it was for usual italian "belief" related things but Jennifer is not really a good cook anyway 😭);

- while Jennifer is a lover for sweets, she prefer more "salty" recepieces;

- Phoebe was the one who confessed first, Jennifer needed some mins to process so;

- she is a member of a lil traditional sicilian dance group;

- Phoebe cannot play any instruments while Jennifer is pretty good with piano;

- Originally Phoebe was a full English character, but got changed due some friends ended a lot to mistake her with Bernadette. After many thinkings, I liked the idea of Jennifer GF being italian so... i leaved it;

Do you think that the lack of follow up on the Sectumsemptra Scene is badly done in the books? This is one of the most horrific things our protagonist does in the entire series and yes its a mistake but he still nearly killed a student in a really brutal way, a person he's known for years and the fact that the books dont actually follow up on this is ludicrous imo. I mean generally some of the most important things in the Harry-Draco dynamic are happened in b6 and b7 (Harry being obsessed, Sectumsempra, seeing Draco unwilling to kill Dumbledore, seeing Draco forced to torture in Voldemort visions, Draco no identifying him in the manor, Harry saving Draco in the RoR) and it just whizziles out into nothing - like Dracos arc in general. IMO there is at least one scene between Harry and Draco needed to maybe tie up this subplot instead of wasting time on shit like the epilogue. At the same time I’m 85% certain that JRr regular scheduled petty hissy fits when people disagree with her canon like being Hermione/Draco or  -Hr/Harry shippers, Remus being gay, and her “gurls are dangerously attracted to bad boys like Draco >:(´” partially played into this.

Anon I agree with you! This is also my personal opinion but I do think that JKR was setting up a more well rounded redemption arc for Draco but dropped it half way because she was really displeased with people finding Draco attractive (which she blamed on Tom Felton... literally no) and shipping him with Hermione, aka the character she identifies with the most.

Sectumsempra was a truly harrowing and unsettling moment in the narrative. Harry had already been worrying about being corrupted and hurting people and now he actually has. It’s a crucial point to explore the black and white view of good versus evil the story keeps trying to set up but half asses. And it’s like… the tension rises and rises only to fizzle out. Harry’s what, banned from quidditch? Okay??? And??? That’s it? No meaningful exploration about what this means? Did he break curfew or almost kill a classmate?

I feel the same about 1) Draco lowering his wand in the astronomy tower, 2) Draco refusing to identify Harry in the manor, and 3) Harry saving Draco from the fiendfyre. It’s like there are pivotal moments to set up an arc but they don’t connect or find a resolution.

I feel like the movie producers also saw that and tried to add Draco throwing his wand to Harry because of it. Take a guess who vetoed that.

I think you’re the only one that agrees with me on Neville being a mediocre character. You may not agree with this, but my blood was boiling when Neville destroyed the last horcrux in DH. Ginny was the one I thought deserved to destroy the last horcrux. Instead of the Neville scene, what if Ginny was like: "Fuck you, Tom. He didn’t run, and he wasn't a coward like you; he was more of a man than you'll ever be, and fuck you and your fucken diary," she gets flashbacks of her first year (walking up in the middle of no where covered in blood, blackouts during major parts of the year, knowing these students were petrified because of what Tom was making her do), Harry saving her, him playing exploding snaps when she felt alone, their time in Grimmauld Place, the summer before her fifth year when they finally got to know each other properly, the number of times she caught Harry staring at her, their first kiss, time spent by the lake, their breakup, their last kiss, the love she felt when she saw him battered but safe in the RoR, the fear she felt when she felt someone walk past her near the forbidden forest, and the way her heart and future shattered when she saw Hagrid carrying Harry's body. Then she gathers up her courage and pulls the sword from the hat, and then she cuts off Nagini's head. Give my girl the retribution and justice she deserves for what Tom did to her! I wanted that emotional fuck yes, that's my girl moment. Instead we got a typical antihero become a hero. Boring. Why is Hermione the only female Horcrux destroyer? There were seven horcruxes, and only one was destroyed by a female? As much as I love Molly's line and the killing of Bellatrix, I don't mind if Neville kills her instead. Bellatrix messed up his family, so killing her would make sense. Tom ruined Ginny's first year, and the possession messed her up mentally for a while. Yes, we adore it when the underdog becomes a hero, but I hate it even more when it comes at the expense of a girl who deserves redemption. Ginny deserved to kill the last Horcrux with the sword of Gryffindor, not Neville. Okay, sorry that was my little rant. Lol.

I do agree with you. Neville is mediocre and I don’t think he deserved to destroy the final Horcrux. Ginny slaying Nagini would have been badass and had her storyline come full circle.

☠️Drives a nice car which made him very popular. He used it to take his brothers everywhere but he ended up sharing it between his brothers and bought a motorbike of his own🤭

Hey, can I request RoR characters react to being called by teen!Reader teacher who tell them reader got in trouble for beating up the school bullies with her friends? True story, did this with my friends group after they try to pick on us and I have a black eye 😂

-It started with a phone call home, “Your child was involved in an altercation. We need to you come to pick them up at once.”

-News had spread quickly that you had been in a fight, there was only a bit of concern if you were hurt, but others were beaming with pride, hearing about you being in a fight, curious to know if you had won or not.

-After some debate only one of your guardians went to pick you up as well as to find out what had happened to cause the fight.

-Lu Bu- The first thing he noticed was you had a shiner over your right eye, a busted lip, your knuckles were bandaged and a grin on your face. He couldn’t help but mirror your grin, ruffling your hair as he approached your meek principal who was terrified to be looking up at such an intimidating man. Lu Bu folded his arms but said nothing, allowing the other man to speak, “Y/N and her friends were involved in an incident, there was a group of bullies who attacked another student, four on one, and she and her friends were quick to jump in.” Lu Bu seemed to swell with pride, hearing of your actions before your principal swallowed, “However, we have a no fighting policy at our school. The bullies have been suspended for two full weeks, but since Y/N defended another student, she’s only suspended the rest of this week and can return on Monday.” Lu Bu nodded and the two of you headed home. His hand came to your head again, ruffling your hair, “I knew teaching you how to fight would come in handy!” you grinned up at him, wearing your injuries like badges of honor.

-Raiden- He couldn’t keep the grin off his face, seeing the shiner over your left eye, busted knuckles, and a red spot on your forehead, telling him you had headbutted someone. Your principal was a stern, intimidating woman, but she always gave second chances, but never third chances. She presented Raiden with the video footage, seeing four boys approach F/N and jumped him, four on one, the next thing he saw was you leaping in and immediately headbutting one of the bullies before punching another, rescuing your friend. Your principal fixed her glasses and spoke, “Y/N is to be suspended for the rest of the week, not two weeks like those four boys. I don’t tolerate fighting in my school, but I don’t tolerate bullies more and she showed bravery by stepping in to help her friend.” Raiden was proud of you, ruffling your hair as he praised you for stepping in for your friend, “That headbutt was awesome! Who knew that teaching you how to do that when you were young would come back to help you!” he bought you some ice cream on the way home, telling you about some of the most memorable injuries he had growing up when he was in fights and sumo bouts.

-Hercules- Your black eye, busted lip, and grin on your lips took him by surprise as he ducked under the doorway to enter, seeing your principal waiting for him, a kind older man but had a no nonsense attitude about bullying. Hercules took a seat, seeing your knuckles were pretty banged up as the principal turned his monitor around, showing the demi-god the footage of the fight. Four boys, ones Hercules didn’t know, approached you while you were at your locker, and his blood boiled as they started to attack. However you quickly gained the upper hand, knocking TF out of one of the bullies before grabbing another by his head, delivering a knee to his gut to knock him back. Once the video ended your principal spoke, sending you a small nod, “We inquired with several witnesses and this attack was deliberate, but they were not expecting Y/N to fight back. Unlike those four boys, who have been suspended for the next two weeks, Y/N will not face any repercussions as she was only defending herself. However, I will suggest she take the next few days off and come back Monday, since she did take a couple of blows to her head and ribs.” Hercules agreed and he took your hand to lead you out. You enjoyed getting carried piggy back style, grinning as Hercules was complimenting you on your moves, especially that right hook of yours, “And Aphrodite said you didn’t need to learn how to fight! This will show her!” you laughed warmly, hugging him around his neck.

-Hades- His hands were instantly cupping your face, inspecting the shiner appearing around your left eye, the scrape on your right cheek, your busted lip, and your bloody knuckles. He turned on your principal, a warm looking woman who could be quiet stern, “What happened?” she could tell he was mad, and she motioned to a seat for him to sit so she could show him her computer screen, “Y/N and F/N were attacked by a group of older boys, specifically targeting these two. However, they weren’t expecting these two to fight back.”  Hades watched with focused eyes, seeing the four older boys approach you and your friend and his jaw clenched, seeing one of them get a cheap shot at you, the reason behind the shiner on your face, but his eyes widened, seeing you immediately come back, tackling the one who hit you to the ground before throwing a punch at another while F/N started to throw punches as well. As she returned her monitor to the proper place, he reached over and ruffled your hair, giving you a proud look before his eyes narrowed, turning to your principal, “What happened to those four vermin?” her coughed into her hand, a bit annoyed at his description of her students, bullies or not, ��Those four were suspended and have to perform community service for the next month. F/N and Y/N will not be suspended as they were just defending themselves, but I would like them both to take tomorrow off, to rest, as they had gone down hard a few times.” Hades agreed with her, and they shook hands before he pulled you out after him. He bought you your favorite drink from Starbucks, as a reward, watching you drink it with a smile on your face as his thumb brushed gently over your face, “They’ll pay for touching you and marring your beautiful face.” You couldn’t help but smile, not willing to argue with him while he was mad, but he made you laugh when he gave you props for that tackle, as it was impressive and well earned.

High school au for Jack, Noah, Heracles, and Alaric.

Teacher decides that the students need to learn to prepare for the future and sets everyone up individually to take care of a fake baby that mimics a real one. (I don’t ship Jack and hlokk and I don’t see the appeal in it, and I don’t ship Jack and Heracles or Noah there “from enemies to bros” please don’t ship them. Actually I don’t ship any of these characters together.)

ROR CHARACTERS WITH A FAKE BABY (HIGH SCHOOL AU)

Jack

He is not very enthusiastic about the experiment, but being it a school assignment he carries it out with the same diligence and seriousness as everything else. So he says nothing and takes care of the doll assigned to him, creating a routine for it that seems normal and following it rigorously, and in the end he even ends up having a little fun… even if it is not exactly the activity he wants. He would have preferred to take care of a real child, even if he understands that it would be even more difficult.

Heracles

Initially Heracles is surprised by the activity he is assigned, but he doesn't hold back: he takes the doll and tries to do what he is asked to do as best as possible. He takes care of it under every aspect, just as if it were real, with seriousness and dedication, and a little fear when he picks it up, as he fears damaging it; however, in the end he is one of those who succeeds best in the task and this fills him with pride, and his fears calm down a little.

Noah and Alaric

They are very, very good with it. It may seem unexpected, and even they themselves are surprised by it, but as soon as they see the baby (one for each) and have it in their arms, it is a complete mind blowing. Boom.

Noah spends a lot of time playing with it, cradling it and treating it as if it were a real baby, and imagines having a daughter like this: Anne often sees him talking to it, calling it the sweetest female names ever heard, and more than one time she catches him sleeping with the doll on his stomach or putting one of Luna's old clothes on it to see how it looks. Every now and then the woman also sees him throw the doll in the air and catch it again the next second, and she can't help but laugh and remind him not to do that when he actually has a little girl!

Alaric is the most perfect father there could be. Caring, present, a little awkard, his doll is treated like a prince and when he talks about it he calls it by name, with respect and sweetness. He isn't even bothered by the fact that the doll is supposed to start crying. He has already designated it as his heir practically, and treats it like a real person: he brings it to the table and puts it next to him when he has to eat, he carries it around, talks calmly with others with it in his arms, and answers tone if someone makes fun of him because he treats a doll like a real child. However, if you tell him that he will be an excellent parent, he turns red and no longer talks.

“Hey! Party’s over. Why are you still here?” A tall, horned monster asks me. He crosses his arms as he waits for an answer.

I frown when I see him wearing ROR gear. I only remember seeing him for a few seconds when we started cleaning the main room. “I’m just here to hang out with Javier, but I had to go to the bathroom. I helped clean up earlier, if you remember?”

“I’m the leader of the most prestigious fraternity on campus, sweetheart, I don’t have time to memorize every face I see.”

I cringe internally at ‘sweetheart’. “Yea, don’t ever call me that again, thanks. I’m just gonna go find my friend now.” I turn to walk away, but get yanked back by one of my wings. “Hey!”

“Did you hear what I said, charity case? Go home!” He barks, “You’re not permitted in the building without an escort!”

I whip my wing out of his grasp and with one swoop, go from being one and a half feet shorter than him to being two feet taller than him. Wings have their perks in the face of entitled trust fund babies. “Touch my ‘charity case’ ass again and see how quickly you don’t have limbs to monster-handle folks with.” I spit, the embers in the back of my throat already heating up. I can see the smoke billowing out of my nose.

“Woah, woah, what’s going on here?” Javier says, just having walked into the hall and taking the scene in with a healthy amount of shock.

“Your fuckin’ friend here’s finna lose his hands if he keeps up the bullshit, that’s what’s going on!” I hiss.

“Your girlfriend has a mouth on her and is a few more words away from being banished from this frathouse, Rios. Handle her.” He sighs, like my existence is just an annoyance to him.

Javier jumps between the two of us before I can burn the guy’s face off and says, “There are a couple things you need to know about y/n, Worthington. One, her fire melts things, two, she has a temper, and three, she is not my girlfriend. She is an independent person and I can’t exactly ‘handle’ her, but if I’m expected to be able to deescalate things between you two, I can’t have remarks like that made.” He looks at me. “Are you good?”

“Is he good?” I ask, incredulous. “He pulled my wing! And on top of that he was yelling at me for no fucking reason!”

“Okay, and I will talk to him about that later, but right now we need to go, okay?”

I look between Javier and Worthington, the latter wearing a shit-eating grin that says he knows I’m torn. I toss him a glare, then growl, “Fine.” I whip around, flying down the hallway as fast as my wings can carry me. I pause at the door, impatiently tapping my foot while waiting for Javier to catch up. When he reaches me I mutter, “Make sure your stupid fuckin’ rude ass buddy over there knows if he ever treats me like that again I’m gonna ‘handle’ it how I want to. I don’t care if I get expelled man, fuck that shit, I hate when trust fund babies treat scholarship students like we’re worth nothing!”

“Yo yo yo, y/n, slow down, I get it, I get it - I’m on a few scholarships myself. But that’s not gonna solve anything. And you’ll get banished to the human world.” Javier reasons, “The best revenge right now is to not let him see he gets to you. Worthington is my guy, okay? He’s not gonna do that again. He’s not even the type to do that from out of nowhere so something must be up for him to even disrespect you like that. I’m gonna make sure he knows, and I got your back. Okay?” He says, hand on my shoulder while he waits for me to chill out.

I push the doors open as hard as I can, expelling some of my anger with a breath of fire. “Okay.” I say irritably, “But I don’t like him. I hate him. So don’t even try to get us to be friends or any dumb shit like that.”

He laughs. “I won’t, but if you wanna hang out on campus you’re gonna have to be around him without burning the building down. A lot of my time’s spent doing frat activities, so...”

I roll my eyes. “Whatever, Javier.”

“Do you promise not to breathe fire?” He asks.

“If he promises not to be a dick, then sure.”
