Hello Hello I don't know if this has been asked before but what would a hug from each of the LI's feel like?

Robin: So warm. So safe. He is tall and lanky, but he somehow feels like he's almost caging you in. He nuzzles into your neck too. 9/10, point deducted because he can be overwhelming.

Alastor: Gentle but firm. Almost unyielding, but also soft. He smells nice, and his skin is soft too. His hands gently rub your back while he hugs you too; very comforting. 8/10, points deducted because he might drug you while he hugs you.

Zack: Actually perfect. He is so large, yet he hugs in a way that is almost delicate. Feels very safe, like a blanket. He cradles you v gently. Somehow, despite how big he is, the hug is never overwhelming. 10/10, Robin could stand to learn from him.

Yuuri: Hugs like death as it gently takes hold of someone and relieves them of their pains and woes. There's something unsettling about how cold her skin is, but it's really nice in summer. 9/10, cold.

It’s like… TGCF is my fave MXTX work by some measure, and Hualian is by FAR my fave of her romances. They are THE OTP for me, and if you ask for a recommendation I will rec TGCF first. The plot, the overall cast, the romance, the themes; I like them best in TGCF.

But Wei Wuxian is THE character. I want everyone to experience him because I think getting to know him is really just that, an experience. Whether you come by way of drama, manhua, animated series, or novel, because imo the greatness of WWX’s character shines through in all of them.

Like you’ve never watched a drama? Watch The Untamed anyway. Yes the first couple eps are slow. I promise it is worth it for him. Or read the novel. Or watch the donghua!! I am assuming you have watched animated series or read novels before obviously. Or hell listen to the audio drama.

I personally think it is impossible to consume any version of the series and not come out obsessed with him.*

yuri on ice came out almost 8 fucking years ago. i have not felt that same amount of joy centered on an ongoing tv show since. i miss waiting for new episodes each week and scrolling through the tag after watching it. i miss the plot twists being absolutely world shattering bc we were all watching together.

i miss the kiss discourse, i miss the “let’s end this” angst, i miss the way everyone freaked out over the proposal, i miss how none of us thought we could get anything crazier and more gay than the rings until we found out about the banquet. i miss the speculation on how they would explore yurio and otabek’s relationship in future stuff for the series and i miss losing it over grainy screen recorded videos of welcome to the madness before it was officially released. i miss the crack videos and shitposts and pork cutlet bowl memes lovingly crafted fan art and fic. i miss following at least a dozen blogs that were all posting about yoi at once. i miss the community i felt with a bunch of strangers who were all as obsessed with this incredible show as i was. i even miss how people were sending death threats over shipping otabek and yurio but i think that part is purely rose tinted nostalgia making me blind to bad.

Viktor Nikiforov’s association with the blue rose is particularly notable, both for how pervasive the symbol is and the meaning behind it.

Within both Hanakatoba (the Japanese language of flowers) and western interpretation, the rose is most commonly used as a symbol of love and passion. Love is, by far, the most readily identified motif throughout the show, making the choice of this flower unsurprising. What does make it exceptional is the fact that it’s blue.

I have been unable to identify any possible meaning of blue flowers broadly within Hanakatoba, but the color is often associated with sadness and loneliness. Emotions that are calm, but negative (i.e. listlessness, depression, boredom) are typically classified as blue, whereas reds are passionate and lively. It is also the color representing the cold, whereas the reds more often associated with Viktor’s clothing speak of warmth.

So here you have Viktor Nikiforov, absolutely covered in a flower that means love, but instead of any of the hues that actually occur in nature, he is specifically given the unnatural, man-made shade that relates to the cold and unhappiness. It is commentary on what he lacks. Viktor does not have the red rose, the one that means passionate love, and is instead given the antithesis of what a rose is meant to be: sad, lonely, and loveless. He himself said that he neglected life and love for over twenty years, so why would we be surprised to see a representation of this during his younger days?

He is crowned by this quality. He has the fame, the recognition, the success, but this does not take away from the emptiness of his personal life and the lack of emotional fulfillment he feels.

I’d say we shouldn’t even discuss this in relation to the other usages of color we see in Viktor and Yuuri’s relationship, but let’s be real, it’s me, so of course I’m going to bring it up.

Viktor is always the one dressed in reddish-pinkish hues, while Yuuri is given blue. Whether it’s the frame of his glasses or his costume for the Stammi Vicino duetto, he is dressed in a deep blue. It’s almost as if he gives meaning to this part of Viktor’s life previously defined by its emptiness, slotting into place like a piece of a puzzle.

It’s almost the exact same shade.

They fell silent, watching the stars. But Yuuri’s heart refused to be still.

“O-hoshi-sama,” Viktor murmured, gazing at the sky. “I get it now. How can you look at the universe spinning in the sky and simply call them hoshi?”

Yuuri smiled. “Yeah. The stars are that majestic.”

“I like it. This is the most beautiful night of my life so far, Yuuri. Not even the White Nights can compare to this.”

The warm, reverent nuance in his voice made Yuuri tremble. This night, this place—it created a closeness he had never felt before with Viktor. As if a bridge had emerged from the sea of stars between them.

“Um, Viktor. There’s something you should know.”

“Huh?”

“There’s an even larger Tanabata festival held in Fukuoka.” The words welled out of Yuuri, encouraged by the darkness engulfing them and because they were not facing each other. “It’s because they have a huge Tanabata shrine there. I… I didn’t suggest it because you wanted to see the fireworks, but we wouldn’t have been able to stay that late because we’d need to catch the last train back. And I didn’t want to take the van because I wasn’t sure if I’d want to drink and I also don’t like to drive at night.” And because it would have been a date then. “My apologies.”

“No, Yuuri,” Viktor said softly. “I’m glad we stayed here. Fukuoka is likely overcrowded tonight and I don’t want to do that to Makkachin. Besides, here we have a better view of the stars because of less—how did you call it?”

“Light pollution.”

“Right.” Viktor’s voice was warm in the night as if he was smiling. “Thanks for introducing me to this festival, Yuuri.”

Yuuri thought back to the wish he had written on the red tanzaku. I wish that I’ll figure out my feelings for Viktor. I wish it to be love.

“I’m glad we came here, too.”

A reddish shine illuminated the lookout, followed by a cracking noise that ruptured the silence. “The fireworks have started!” Yuuri said. “Let’s watch!”

They hurried to a spot where the trees parted. Orange sparks rose into the sky and blossomed into colourful stars, illuminating rooftops and the people cramming on the beach and along the bridges, glittering on the bay. A sudden giddiness rose in Yuuri.

“When I was younger, I often imagined what it would be like to celebrate Tanabata with you,” he said. Each year, he had written a wish for it and hung it on a tree. “I didn’t ask you because I didn’t know how to do it without things taking a weird turn.”

“Really?” Viktor’s voice was hushed with an undercurrent of excitement.

Yuuri nodded. “The last weeks were very nice. I would have hated to ruin that.”

A hand touched Yuuri’s shoulder, stirring a swarm of butterflies in his stomach. “I enjoy our time together very much, too.”

“Yeah,” Yuuri said. His heart fluttered.  

They fell silent, watching the colourful sparks blossoming above the town, mirrored on the silent river. The hand remained on his shoulder and Yuuri found he liked it being there.

“Yuuri?”

“Hum?”

“Will you tell me what you wished for?”

“No, Viktor.”

“I’ll tell you what I wished for in return.”

“It won’t come true when you say it aloud.”

“But if a wish isn’t voiced no one will know and they won’t do anything about it.”

“The gods will.”

If I were already sure of my feelings, this would have been the perfect date, Yuuri mused.

“Will you tell me your wish when it comes true?”

You will know when it comes true, Yuuri thought, struggling to tame the tempest of emotions raging within his heart. “Yes,” he said, leaning his head against Viktor’s shoulder. “I will.”

According to a legend, Princess Orihime fell in love with a cow herd named Hikoboshi, and their love was so great that both neglected their duties whereopun Orihime's father, the Emperor, banished the pair to the heavens with the Milky Way separating them. Orihime became the star Vega and Hikoboshi became the star Altair. Only once a year, in the seventh night of the seventh month, they can meet--but only if the skies are clear.

Tanabata (七夕) is celebrated in July, but in some regions, it's celebrated in August (depending on whether the Gregorian calendar or the lunar calendar is used). The stars Vega and Altair are visible in Japan from July to September. There's a couple of customs surrounding the festival, one of them is to write your wishes on paper strips and hang them on a bamboo tree. These trees are set afloat or burnt during the night. Tanabata is a very popular festival in Japan and often referred to as the most romantic night of the year. However, since in most regions, the rainy season lasts until August, the chances for clear skies are 30% on average and thus people pray for good weather several days in advance.

I somewhat recovered from the devastating news of YoI Ice Ado cancellation, so to celebrate Yuri on Ice brings me joy day (which should be everyday) I'm writing down my headcanons.

The pets in the YoI universe have the general lifespan of their humans. Pets tend to die days before or after their owners died. Unless they have an accident, or a sickness (poor Vicchan). So essentially Makkachin is in fact immortal.

The YoI universe is kinder: there is no homophobia. I understand that sometimes exploring topics like these in fiction is important, but personally I think there is enough of that in the real world. So I want to believe in at least one universe where people are kinder. Viktor and Yuuri can get married anywhere in the world and it would be recognized. Nobody is bothered by the two being men.

Yuuri Katsuki is not a Viktor Nikiforov fan. He is THE Viktor Nikiforov fan. I'm talking fan accounts where he's protecting Viktor. The posters in his room are just the tip of the iceberg. He has hand fans, body pillows, limited edition bottle of water where Viktor did some promotion. One time he ordered a limited edition, signed poster from a "fan". (The person was thinking of ripping him of. And then he got an email. The only text read: his name, his address, his age, his social security number. Man was so scared he payed triple for ice show tickets, just to get the signed poster. Incidentally he also got invested in ice skating and found Yuuri Katsuki, Japan's ace. He's been a fan ever since.) After Viktor cut his long hair, Yuuri mourned for a few days and then layed waste on everyone on the internet who dared to complain about Viktor's decision.

All of Yuuri's fans, as well as all of Japan knows that Yuuri Katsuki is THE Viktor Nikiforov fan. Journalists that are usually ignored by Yuuri know that they only need to mention Viktor before Yuuri goes on a 30 minute tangent about his newest programs, his music, his outfits, that obscure program he did only once six years ago. If the journalist is brave, and willing to risk life and limb, they'll even add some sort of critiscism "Viktor's landing was a bit wobbly" Yuuri Avoider of Anything that Risks Conflict Katsuki: "First of all how dare you." 40 minutes later "I'm done! I'm done! ... And another thing!"

Yeah Yuri Plisetsky admires Viktor Nikiforov. He's ugh Viktor. But Yuri is a fan of one skater and one skater only and that is Yuuri Katsuki. I'm talking posters, hand fans, body pillows, limited edition sports drink Yuuri did some promotion for. He came to Hasetsu with one luggage, left with three filled to the brim with Katsuki merch. And a giant poster from the train station. When Viktor discovers Yuri's collection he is incredibly jealous.

Phicit, Yuuri, Leo, Guang-Hong Ji, Otabek, Emil, Michele, J.J., and Seung Gil have a group chat for gossip. While the group chat is used pretty frequently Seung Gil will only wildly appear once every blue moon, leave a devastating one liner and dissapear once again. Once Viktor goes to coach Yuuri the group has front rows to live updates: "omg Viktor just showed up buck naked at my parents' onsen" "ok so he asked if I want him to be my boyfriend. do you think this is code for something?" "He sure likes to be very touchy with me. very touchy. hmm silly europeans" "he just wants us to be close friends" the despair the others are feeling. after the live kiss, seung gil: "just friends huh. never lie to my face again bitch"

minami and yuri have beef. minami has a limited edition photo card that he brought with him to the juniors. yuri has another limited edition card that he also brought to juniros. they saw each others limited edition cards, argued which was superior, both incredibly jealous of the other. loathed each other since then.

yuuri was the first to give Viktor his blue roses crown. One time when Viktor was assigned to NHK Trophy Yuuri busted his entire allowance and some odd jobs to buy him the crown, to an exhorbitant price because roses are expensive, blue roses even more so, and a flower crown?! Yuuri was standing near the rink when Viktor saw him holding the crown. Viktor's heart melted, and he let Yuuri put the crown on him. ever since then Viktor was associated with blue roses. Years later a skating fan uncovered an old photo of yuuri putting the crown on viktor and posted it online. the skating world collectively lost their minds. at their wedding they each put a flower crown on top of each others heads.

"I-I hope you like it." Izumi spoke in a soft and bashful tone, blushing with a nervous expression. He gave Yuuri, Edon and Izuku (both main and villain verse) knitted beanies, crochet frog plushies and boxes of chocolates.

"H-happy Valentine's D-day."

Yuuri, Edon and both Izuku's blink seeing the presents that they blush as seeing how precious they are. "Awww thank you Izumi.." Izuku said sweetly.

"Indeed, thank you my precious little pet." Villain Izuku smirked.

"Thank you..this is adorable.." Yuuri smiled holding the presents.

"You are too sweet." edon said before they had presents for him too.
