I feel like these are pretty normie type picks, but that's to be expected considering my start was in Maxvid

I recognize now there's a different term for Teen/Adult ships but I both don't remember what is was and don't care particularly about the difference, to me Cradle Ship just means Adult/Minor.

🧵 What are some themes about cradle ships that you enjoy?

All of my Cradle ships are pure fluff, everything fine and nothing is wrong sort of concepts, there's never anything dark or bad or twisted about most of them, the exception being Andrias/Marcy and Belos/Hunter, but even those have their soft everything's fine AUs

I like guilt in Cradle ships and the exploration of the Grey area between parental and romantic love, mostly in the sense that kids, especially young kids, don't have a Different Types of Love understanding, it's something that is taught instead of innate in human understanding.

Too bad I don't really have any Cradle ships outside of self ships where the younger is young enough for that. Still. Love when the older is agonizing over being in love with a minor. They think it's complicated, the kid thinks it's simple.

I think it's a funny dynamic

It depends on the ship for sure but honestly ever sense the porn ban of 2018 I've kinda fallen off on Ships being NSFW at all. Most, if not all of my ships, are SFW by default just cause I'm Ace and don't see a lot of nsfw art anymore.

Some of them I'm like "Oh yeah this guy's a massive pervert about this" but even then they're mostly just weird about it in their head and are too guilty to actually act on those thoughts.

Again. I think that's a really funny dynamic. Tortured Pervert X Teasing them on purpose.

Hey Folks

Hey to the few people who follow me and/or like my posts you are very appreciated and make me very happy! Anyway I wanted to give an explanation for my lack of updating. This next part may be triggering to some people it has extensive mention of severe anxiety attacks, medical issues, brief mention of seizure like symptoms, cardiac issues, and pain.

This will most likely come out as a rant. The other week I was on vacation with my family in Italy when I had a Caffeine Overdose in which I was shaking intensely like seizure level shaking, my heart rate was 140 which is double what my average rate is, I lost all control in my body and was having intense Carpopedal Spasms. The emts arrived and helped calm me down which was nice also they were attractive which became the ongoing joke that I got my own mcdreamy and mcsteamy. But after that event I was in such rough shape I had the inability to be independent and had to be walked to the bathroom by my mother and she had to stand there as well which was pretty upsetting to me. So overall the event was very traumatic and has caused some PTSD for me luckily I have been slowly recovering from that. Unfortunately some issues have arisen with that I now am suffering from extreme anxiety attack episodes, with Carpopedal Spasms that last from 2-20 mins and are extremely painful especially in my arms, it essentially looks like t-rex arms however very unnatural. And today I had my worst episode yet while I was in the car with my mother and we went straight to my doctor and it wasn’t my official doctor who saw me but the one who happens to see me a lot to the point it turned into “Hello Again” he also looks like the property brothers. There they said I was in great health physically like they were suprised how good my blood sugar was and stuff which made me feel better. From there though they wanted to get an EKG just to be absolutely confident that my episodes were anxiety episodes so I got that done and I just found out that its great and everything is excellent which is relieving. Oh and they gave me and oxygen mask without oxygen but it slows my breathing and it smells like cookies. So yeah thats why I havent been updating but things are getting better slowly but surely! I have multiple fics in progress including Two Twisted Wonderland fics, Two Kazuha fics, Chapter 3+4 of Forever, Chapter 2+3 of Eleutheromania, a Tartaglia Moulin Rouge AU fic, multiple Fairytail and Bungo Stray Dog fics, then finally an Code Geass fic! Thank you to whoever read this for understanding and yeah so ill be updating soon see ya!

he shows up to your house actually wearing a shirt for once and that’s an amazing first step

but when he gets excited he accidentally sets things on fire

you repeatedly tell him he cannot burn your childhood house down

you do not, in fact, have faith in him

you appreciate the thought, yet you keep an eye on him anyway

though maybe that’s less to do with potential arson and more to do with the way his smile is just so dazzling-

your parents are a little taken aback by how much energy he has but they think you two balance each other out

they find it sweet how he’ll randomly start peppering your face with kisses in the middle of a conversation

or how he always has to be touching you one way or another

it’s clear it’s not in a possessive way

It’s a— ‘your touch is so grounding and this is how I show my love and I always want to be near you’ type of way way

they had heard about ‘the salamander’ before and they were a bit.. concerned for you health

it could be dangerous to date such an avid wild guild member

they aren’t against you dating at all, just a little worried

but they can see now that he would do anything for you

your parents choke on their food when he mentions his father

"A DRAGON?”

“ahem, I’m sorry.. you were saying”

he repeatedly compliments the food

like a lot — luckily, it earns some brownie points

before he goes they give him the left overs in a container

it’s the second widest he’s smiled all night

the first was when he saw you that night, you looked stunning and he was reminded just how lucky he was

though your parents are a little confused when he leaves through the window

they have a very good feeling about you and natsu

when she comes over, they see you weren’t exaggerating when you called her beautiful

she introduces herself to your parents first and they take a liking to how sweet she is

when she sees you she takes a moment to compose herself

before she squeals and wraps her arms around your neck, kissing your cheek

it’s not her fault you look so beautiful

your parents think it’s a cute sight

you always wanted a disney princess love and this just seemed perfect to them

they notice how you intertwine you hands with hers whenever you can

your parents ask about the guild

they’re super impressed by what they hear

“.. the zodiac? that’s incredible”

“yeah they really are! I’m so glad to have them be part of my family”

they can see how selfless she is by the way she talks about her spirits, but when she talks about you they can tell that she would sacrifice the world if that’s what it meant keeping you happy

lucy excuses herself to go to the bathroom and you pretend that you don’t know she’s calling loke to give her a pep talk to keep her going through the dinner, because she can’t help but still feel the jitters in her stomach

she really hopes your parents like her — which is a massive understatement, they adore her

lucy recalls all her dinner etiquette from her childhood

when she has to go she kisses you gently and thanks your parents relentlessly before leaving

you turn anxiously to hear if they liked her

“marry that girl” you’re planning on it

Gray Fullbuster

you almost drool when he knocks on the door, he looks so sleek in a suit and his hair perfectly messy

ok so maybe did drool a little

gray’s normal composed behaviour is all screwed up because he’s so out of his element and is desperate to impress your parents

he stutters through introductions (which he’ll later curse himself later for)

you laugh and wrap your hands around his neck, placing a quick kiss on his lips “where’s my little charmer”

he rolls his eyes but instantly relaxes

they can’t help but be won over by it all

especially when he looks at you so fondly

“you weren’t lying, he really is handsome”

you pull him closer by his belt loop, at this rate, your parents would steal your boyfriend

thank god he’s still wearing his clothes, you don’t know who would love it more

gray offers to help with serving up but is secretly relieved when they insist he doesn’t need to - because in this state, he would definitely screw something up

you lay your head on his shoulder while small talk happens

sometimes they have to remind you guys that you’re still at dinner when you get caught up in whispers together, stuck in your own little world

they think it’s so endearing to see you look so in love

they bring up his own parents and the mood shifts

he tries not to react but he still wishes he had felt the warmth of a parents love just that little longer — he had ur of course, but it’s not the same

they notice the atmosphere and swiftly move on

their home is now his home

gray seems a bit broken at times

but he lights up when he’s with you

he knows what he wants and they admire that

he isn’t one for emotions or talking about them, but his face shows how much he cherishes you

so at the end of the day neither of them doubt you two are perfect for each other

and they can’t wait to see him again

but then they realise he’s staying the night

so I guess they can wait

you briefly mentioned beforehand that she spoke in third person and your parents promised to not mention it

juvia was anxious that they would see it as weird at first

but you had assured her that they would love everything about her, that there was no doubt about that

you held her as she cried into your shoulder

you opened the door with a grin before she even had the chance to knock

your parents quickly shuffled over and welcomed her with warm hugs

juvia was taken by surprise but giggled

“juvia this my parents, and parents, this is the love of my life”

her face when bright red but she kisses your forehead

your love was so intense that they could sense it before they even sat down for dinner

“so juvia, is your hair naturally blue?”

your parents can tell she’s kind hearted

you stroke her hair as she talks

she thanks your parents repeatedly for having her

juvia stumbles over her words a few times but is engaging in interesting conversations

the two of you remind them of when they were in young and in love

you were equally as devoted to each other and it was obvious in every interaction together

the way her eyes never left yours whenever you spoke

or the way you stared at her like she was your entire world

they ask how you guys met

it’s late but the sun is still beaming

“look the sun's still out, isn’t that nice?”

juvia’s very emotional but they love that she wears her heart on her sleeve

when erza shows up she makes sure every hair is in place, her shirt is ironed and crisp and her teeth are white and dazzling

she has a bouquet of flowers when they open the door

your parents thought she lived up to the name 'titania: queen of fairies'

erza goes for handshakes but gets pulled into hugs by your parents

she hugs back awkwardly and they assume she’s not that big of a hug person, no judgement

but then you hug her and she melts into your touch, holding you tightly while tucking her head into the curve of your shoulder

she's not a hug person, she’s a y/n person

when they sit down for dinner she volunteers to help but they shush her, “you're a member of this family now, don’t fret about it!”

erza wasn’t a massive crier (excluding during movie dates with you) but the warmth of those words made her eyes well up with tears

you caress her cheek with a soft smile

they could see the tenderness between you with your subtle touches

you thought you were slick but they could see her playing with your fingers beneath the table

erza has fought monsters but facing your parents is still the scariest thing she’s ever done

she insists to do the dishes “you've cooked a delicious meal, what sort of guest would I be if I let you clean up after me? please, let me, I insist”

your parents are already swooning

“if you don’t marry her, we will”

erza invites them over to her house next time

and when it’s time to go she knows better and initiates the hugs, they laugh

“It was astonishing to think someone as beautiful inside and out existed as y/n but now I can clearly see where she got it all from”

your parents almost cry

“come over any time! honestly! day, night, morning, breakfast!”

erza kisses you on the lips and promises to text you after she gets back home

your parents had heard about all the rumours surrounding him

they've heard that he infiltrated the council and was considered a criminal. that he tried to resurrect the legendary black wizard zeref. that he was behind countless attacks against fiore

you quickly assured them that it was all a big misunderstanding but they were still understandably weary

you asked for one dinner to prove that he was an amazing guy and they finally relented after you bugged them for hours

jellal was extremely nervous to meet them, his biggest fear was losing you

your parents didn’t immediately slam the door in his face so it was a great sign

when you introduce him to your parents he was nothing but respectful

a little stiff

but he smiles kindly

he has a tight hold on your hand the entire night, you rub your thumb over his knuckles to reassure him and your parents actually find it sweet

he looks at you with nothing but worship and his love is so clear on his face that your parents couldn’t doubt his feelings for you

you’re in sync

you pass him the salt while he passed you the pepper wordlessly

later you parents would mock you over it

“so domestic already”

he mostly listens but chips in with comments here and there, which usually ends with the table in a fit of giggles

you reach out to push his fringe out of his face on instinct when you notice it’s in his way

he leans into your touch subconsciously

your parents look at each other in that knowing way parents do

he speaks so calmly despite being nerve wracked and never forgets his manners

the topic of him being well, y’know a criminal comes up and he tenses but indulges their questions and explains everything they want to know as best as he can

you whisper in his ear sweet nothings when you notice that he’s beginning to go back to that dark place

your parents notice and inform him that they understand and he doesn’t have to explain himself anymore before excusing themselves to allow you two a moment alone

he makes sure to thank them repeatedly for hosting him and mentions how much their child has helped him become a better person

a gentlemen is how your parents would describe him hours after he leaves

they’re weirdly charmed by the end of the night

“I don’t know how it happened, but he makes you smile so bright that I’m glad it did”

you sneak out that night and hug him so tightly, incredibly proud of him for coming

you lie about the meeting time because he always turns up late

surprisingly he arrives at the house exactly on time

you have to awkwardly explain that you lied about the time and his jaw drops

“OH MY GOD IM GOING TO DIE A PAINFUL DEATH FOR NOTHING”

you shut him up with a kiss and he has to hide his blush

you finally bring him inside and Sting is practically buzzing with anxiety

or with determination

or the six energy drinks he downed before he got here

“ mrs y/l/n, you look beautiful, I can see where y/n got her looks from”

your parents wave him off with a laugh but sends you a thumbs up when he’s not looking

sting tries to remember to speak slowly and be the perfect guest but he can’t help but live in his childhood wonder and excitement whenever they bring up childhood stories

“dO NOT TELL HIM THAT STORY”

“no, carry on please!”

by the end of the night sting has so much blackmail on you

they appreciate how open and laid back he is

they notice how wide his smiles go whenever you talk

and the fierceness in which he feels his love for you is very easy to see

when it’s time to say goodbye he goes straight for hugs, never one to pay attention to normal social cues

he squeezes you extra tight and kisses you on the cheek

any more than that and he’s afraid he’ll get hit by a broom

your parents like him a lot

and they’ll trust you’ll keep each other safe

because you sure as hell keep each other happy

and that is simply everything to them

you have to give him a pep talk for ten minutes before he finally stops shaking and comes inside

you never let go of his hand while introductions are being made

as the night goes on his voice starts to get louder and more sure of himself

you lean in to hear every word he has to say, finding anything that comes out of his mouth mesmerising

just the way he speaks makes your stomach erupt in butterflies

he turns into a tomato when you kiss his cheek, in the sheets it’s a different story

you notice his leg bouncing nervously and you put you hand on his knee to calm him

he puts his hand on top of yours

the thought of next time makes you grin

and then you make eye contact with rouge and all feels right in the world

Laxus Dreyar

laxus would overcompensate, he would turn up with chocolate, a bouquet of flowers and the most expensive whiskey he could find

he fussed over his hair for thirty minutes before he arrived at your parents house

only to have you mess it up within seconds after you open the door with a simple ruffle of his hair

he tried to be frustrated by it, he really did, but the way you eyes lit up at the sight of him and your smile shines he forgets all about it

you invite him in with a bow and he rolls his eyes, but thanks you all the same

your parents are waiting there and offers his gifts “these are for you, mr/mrs y/l/n”

they fuss and place them to the side “you really shouldn’t have!”

he gives his best smile and holds out his hand “I’m honoured to be hosted by you tonight, thank you for having me”

respect, respect, respect repeats in his head all evening

they admire the way he stands with such confidence, certain in himself (he wouldn’t say the same for himself right now) strong and assured; drawing the attention of many with such a captivating aura

yet it was clear the way his gaze softened when it landed on you or. the way he subconsciously leans in closer to you that he only had eyes for you

your parents take his hand and jump slightly at the electric shock, they laugh it off thinking it a coincidence

meanwhile laxus is internally having a breakdown, thinking he’s ruined all his chances and screwed everything up

two seconds in and he’s already electrocuted the parents of the person he loved

he rubs his sweaty plans on his pants, which was so unlike him, before following your parents gesture in to sit down — they cut him off before he could offer a hand

laxus plays the role of a perfect gentleman, saying all the right things and never forgetting his manners

“this food is seriously deliciously, did you make these potatoes? they’re incredible” he’s trying his best okay

they were charmed by his effort and could see how much you meant to him

you were playing with the napes of his hair, you didn’t even realise you were doing it

but he was also playing with you bracelet on your wrist subconsciously so it was fine

he helped clear the dishes and came back with a white face and you could only assume he got threatened to keep you safe

dragon slayer, but his weakness is your parents

how ironic

though by the nod of approval you got from your parents (not even before the night was over) was a massive relief. you never doubted him, but it was nice to see

when it was time for him to go home he kissed you on the cheek and whispered in you ear how much he loved you

then he willingly hugged them goodbye and with a thanks and a wave he was gone — he probably couldn’t wait to leave all this stressful environment, you almost laughed because of it

“you’ve bagged yourself a real good man there, keep him”

Don’t ever say Lucy can’t kick butt. Even Natsu knows it hurts. 🤣
