Recent-ish things ~
#photo diary#1 - love this image of Noodle.. such a weird angle that makes his head look entirely round like a puff ball or something#2 - a more recent (still from months ago) collection of my pressed flowers and 4 leaf clovers I found.#3. Being one of the only people in 2024 still going 'hee heee I've just bought a new wii game!' but.. I have. >:3#It's kind of like Wii Sports Resort but is like.. open world? so your character can actually walk around and stuff. REALLY makes me#wish I had the type of set up where I could record video from my wii and stuff like some gaming youtubers have. I think it'd be a really#fun game to play on video and to DOCUMENT it!!! I keep wishing I could screenshot my little guy walking around but I caaant..#I've literally just been taking out my phyiscal camera and photographing the screen which always looks bad.. augh..#4. Something in the froxen food aisle called 'Wellington Bites' a play on beef wellington. suprisingly good actually. but I guess anything#with like beef and mushrooms usually is. But it seems like.. oddly decent for frozen food stuff.#5 - boye looking Round again.. 6 - updated score in the wii fit minigame again. This time less than 4 seconds#for each round? which may be a record for me? 7 & 8 - fat bird in the snow. fatt bird in the SNOW!! GRR...#the funny thing is that like many many years ago I wrote a note on my wall saying 'FOCUS! write 2hr a day or more or youre going to finish#your game in 2025!!!' - which back in 2018 when I wrote it was like unimaginably far into the future but now... ahem.. hem... I guess that#is quite literally the case LOL. To my credit I did parctically abandon it entirely since late 2019 and JUST now picked up really#trying to focus on it in mid 2024 but still... My '''ridiculous'' projection being actually likely the correct one..#10 - I just thoughtit would be silly to put a bunch of keychain things on the wii remote. imagine playing this way. getting constantly#jabbed in the hand by plastic bits. and the jingling clinking noise it would be always making lol#11 - sky.. huzzah for the sky as always. Clouds my beloved#Gr.. I just really want to wriiite. My new years hopes are to finish my game and to get stuff set up to start selling sculptures again.#AND then maybe do more game videos lol... I miss playing games. I dont think I've posted on that youtube for like 5 months#I've just had so much appointments and Things and Stuff and focusing so much on other projects. Role: main character
She is an alien princess. At some point she falls in love with this human guy and it's a controversial thing, and the ending is tragic in that she ends up dying (as a result of leaving the atmosphere of her planet). An alternate ending was that she ended up in some sort of shipwreck and had this fish-out-of-water scenario in which she had to hide and adapt to a completely foreign place.

(The Hacker: Death off the Internet - 2013-2016)
Role: Protagonist (villain protagonist with a redemption arc)
He is an extremely skilled programmer and hacker. He starts the story having stayed awake for almost a week to work on a very powerful virus. He passes out and ends up in the computer world, where he is treated like a Grim Reaper figure (he does get a sick looking scythe too!). At first, this is a power trip to him, until he meets and gets attached to various people in the computer world, only to see them get disintegrated by the Virus, so now he is desperate to fix the destruction he designed, but he finds himself increasingly powerless, and even begins to feel the effects of the Virus on himself.

Thea is a princess from another planet, and her falling in love with this human guy is considered extremely controversial. There are also some other political details. In the first version, the ending included her dying. Another version included her getting stranded and starting over.

Hans is a very highly skilled programmer and hacker and his current ambition is to create the most powerful virus, that could allegedly wipe the Internet. However, one day, after a week of sleeplessness, he gets transported in the computer world, where he confronts various characters who represent various programmes or sites etc. His main antagonist (arguably much more morally upright than him) is one Mr. G, who kinda represents the whole Internet. He's helpless to solve the Virus issue alone, so he drags Hans into fixing his own mess. Everybody in the computer world dies by this virus (which consumes them by disintegrating them into 0s and 1s), and Hans is very burdened by regret over his actions. (The rest is spoilers; I do really want to write this for real one day).

i got back into BG3 to finally end my main run buuuuut i woke up today and decided i'm going to get work DONE and THEN play. let's be responsible for once god damn it.
#last night i did the house of hope#which everyone said was mega difficult. but i just annihilated that boy so hard first try no reloads. it was very satisfactory.#so much so that i did not realize the pillars mechanic until he was like 1 round away from dying and completely ignored it lmao#bard allows for so many shenanigans. i counterspelled his main action like 5 rounds in a row and was permadebuffing every turn.#and then just wailed on him because my party is like mostly melee people.#my vengeance paladin/war cleric shart was like ''oh i can't use radiant or fire? how about i do a level 6 thunderous smite how about that"#i will say that maybe most players had to fight yurgir and that might have been part of the difficulty but. i am a bard.#i can roll a 30 persuasion no problem.#bg3 spoilers

#i kind of want to make an art piece about her but i do feel weird using her as a basis for it. so it just exists in my head#its not like a 'i would need permission from palawa people to make it thing' i wouldnt do it even if i got permission. its not mine and#doesnt need to be#im sure the person reading this doesnt know who she is so heres a small part of her story;#she came from lutriwita tasmania. during her lifetime she personally witnessed an estimated 96% genocide of her people.#in the 1830's george a robinson towards the end of the 'black wars' (attempted palawa aboriginal genocide. it was very much#a war) travelled to offer a 'peace treaty' of sorts to the very few remaining (from an estimated 6-20 thousand to around 1-2 hundred)#saying they could go and live on an island where they'd be given flour and tea and a 'good white man' to protect them. truganini was asked#to be his guide to ensure he wouldnt be killed when attempting to speak to people. her reasonings for accepting were of course never#recorded but she did. and helped round up those people. almost all of whom died in the horrible conditions they were forced to live in on#that island (wybalenna). 16 made it back to lutriwita.#she saw the graves dug there for her people looted by settlers.#looted for bones. and skin. so they could be studied like specimines#the remaining people were sent back to live in an ex-convict camp in 1838. 8 years on that island. most died. as was the intention#even on her wikipedia page she is credited as 'one of the last full-blooded tasmanian aboriginals' which is a phrase highly contested by#living palawa people today. but she knew her reputation. she was considered the last tasmanian aboriginal.#upon the approaching of her death she took a trip to a nearby river and pointed to the deepest part of it#asking to be buried there#she had seen how her friends family and people had had their graves robbed by white settlers and knew the same would happen to her. she#wanted to rest in peace. in the bush. in the deepest part of the river#born around 1811-1812 she died in 1876#and the last piece of her skin was returned to lutriwita from a british scientific association in 2002.#126 years later#her skeleton was on display in the tasmanian museum (still in operation i might add) until the 1940s. some 70 odd years. and remained in#the museums storage before being returned to the palawa community in 1976. 100 years after her death#she asked to be buried in the deepest part of the river. where no one could touch her.
