Thats all I can remember now, hope i covered what you need. The trim piece below the rear window in the bed is held on by speed nutz that are accesible from inside the cab. Once the side pieces are off, the screws that hold the front corner pieces in place are exposed. Once the rear corner pieces are off, slide the long side rasil trim backward. The rear top corner pieces are held on with 2 or 3 speed nutz that are accesible in the same opening. The trim between tail lights & top bed trim are held on by 2 or 3 speed nuts. To remove the bed trim, remove the 2 small corner panels at the rear of the bed. You need to remove the inner panel from the tailgate to get at them from underneath. Transmission Wiring Harness, Trim Ring, Trunk Lid Pull Down Motor. It also includes the rubber plugs for the rear quarter panels. Chevy El Camino (1963 Down), Chevy El Camino (1964-1977), Chevy El Camino (1978 Up). The tailgate top trim is held by 4 or 5 bolts. This seal set contains the weatherstrip for the bottom and vertical sides of the tailgate. The pieces on the front fenders, behind the wheel opening are held on by speed nuts, that can only be accessed by removing the inner fender or loosening the fender itself. The only stainless trim I know of is on the window frames.Which pieces are you having trouble with? Most of the body trim is press on-pull off, except that several pieces have a srew holding them in at the door for instance. 1968-1988 Chevelle, Monte Carlo, Malibu, & El Camino black super weatherstrip ad. Not sure what they did wrong, but I am installing new ones myself after the body shop reimbursed us. During the mock up, the stainless was dented from the back side in two different places on both pieces. You need to remove the inner panel from the tailgate to get at them from underneath. We are adding MarK stainless trim and had the body shop mock up and drill the holes before paint. The tailgate is NOS, but it didn't have the upper trim holes. OK guys, I searched the forums and found plenty of advice on REMOVING the upper stainless tailgate trim.

THen, she goes to the beach (the nebulous beach. There are like, 12 beaches in the LA area, maybe more) and walks into a surf shop to fucking tape a note to a surfboard, walks 30 NUMBERED PACES, and digs a hole to stick a tape into.
Then she goes back to the nightclub and waits for them to walk in so she can smash their fender.

The Holiday was exclusive to the 98 series that year. While some manufacturers appear to be content resting on their laurels, the Jeep team has obviously been busy…very busy. Not only have they given us the new, much awaited Gladiator (see Los Angeles International Car Show below) but they must have been burning a lot of midnight oil lately as they’ve also given us the sleekest Jeep Wrangler ever.  It may not look it at first glance but the 2018 is all new from the ground up with a new model designation, the JL.

Its iconic styling dates back to World War II with off-road prowess that few vehicles can match. But that prowess and iconic angular design comes at a price, and that’s its on road comfort and performance and yes thirst for fuel. Jeep’s designer and engineers have, and continue to persevere to smooth its rougher edges without alienating Jeep traditionalists (remember the debacle of the square head lighted YJ of 1986). 
Those same traditionalists and any Jeep aficionado will quickly recognize the all-new JL model from the outgoing JK by…yes the new headlights. This time with optional halo LEDs that if anything hint at the blackout army headlights. There are also LED turn signals mounted on the front fenders and rear tail lamps are LEDs as well. 
The Wrangler’s Achilles’ heel has always been its thirst for fuel and the challenges facing designers is how to keep Jeep’s iconic world-renown shape and persona without destroying it and at the same time make a brick aerodynamic. 
At first you’ll have to look closer for the aerodynamic touches until you see them, then you’ll be able to spot them a mile away.  The windshield has been angled a bit more with a slight curvature to it. More evident is the lower beltline and larger side glass. Oh and the windshield can now be folded down quicker with the A-pillar staying in place to form an integrated roll bar.  The end result is a nice clean, crisp look sitting on a wheelbase that’s been stretched 61mm and is 114mm longer in length. Thanks Jeep.
If you were to put a scale of off-road prowess on the Wrangler’s trim line up, then the Rubicon would be at the top of that list which also means it would be on the bottom as a street fighter. I got my hands on the four-door version of the Rubicon last fall.
Engine options across the trim lines include a 2.0L direct injected, DOHC, in-line turbocharged four cylinder that is available only with the 8-speed transmission and the company’s main stay power plant, the 3.6L Pentastar V6 that can be hooked up to either the automatic ($1595) or a 6-speed manual trans.

Inside
The JL’s interior has also seen a lot of changes. There are now grab handles under the armrest to ease removing the new aluminum doors. It’s cleaner and more user friendly with cubbyholes for your drinks, cell phone, nylon nets on the doors and a deep center console.  The infotainment screen is the old familiar one I’ve come to expect and love in FCA products. It sets up easily, is super friendly to use and navigate and is now encased in a rubberized trim mold to keep it water tight for those times you drop the top. The Alpine sound system is also greatly improved.

A back up camera has been added that you can access by hitting the camera button on the 8.4” infotainment screen at anytime, so if you’re towing something and you want to see if all is ok while on the highway, you can, without stopping.

You can also change the menu at the bottom of the screen for quick access by dragging the icons the menu.  There’s an on/off switch for the auto stop/start on the center console along with a mute button for the radio.  Just in front of the gear selector you’ve got the sway bar disconnect and front & rear/rear diff lock switch along switches with for aftermarket accessories.  The front seat backs have hooks for your grocery bags. Outback there are provisions for the door hinges and there’s a cubbyhole with a drain plug that you can fill with ice for those camping trips. Two pet peeves in an otherwise great interior, there’s no dead pedal and the kicker… the fuscia colored dash! Why not keep it the same colour as the exterior? With the wider body, the cargo space is up slightly to 72.4 cu.ft of cargo space with the rear seats folded.

Even with the off-road tires on my Rubicon (I love saying my) the improved ride quality of the new chassis was clearly evident but despite the refinements the JL is still a Jeep. A lot of the ancestral trademark Jeep jarring is gone and there’s a crisper feel to the steering. The 3.6L V6 is a carryover from the outgoing model and I’m used to the power delivery of the 285 horses and 260 lb-ft of torque. Checking the numbers however on the new 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder (270 hp with 295 lb-ft of torque) sounds promising and I hope to get my hands on one in the not too distant future.
OK the question that everyone has been asking. I was hoping the new smooth shifting, 8-speed automatic and aerodynamic changes would have made a big improvement in my gas bill, and was curious to know by how much. My last Wrangler was the Sahara, which averaged 13.5L/100 km. My Rubicon with off-road gear ratios and off-road rubber managed to better the old Sahara by .7L/100 kms. netting an average 12.8L/100km on mostly highway travel so a similarly equipped Sahara JL with the 3.45:1 rear end should get significantly better numbers.

In the early days of the automotive industry, cars were made almost entirely of metal, which meant they were clunky and extremely heavy. However, the industry became advanced and the plastics market erupted in the 1940s and 50s. Therefore, automotive manufacturers began to experiment with plastic car parts in their production.
In the 1970s, manufacturers rolled out the first cars with plastic decorative elements. Later in the 80s, they also introduced more functional parts like plastic headlights, bumpers, and fenders.

Because automotive plastic injection molding typically relies on robust metal molds, the final molded automotive parts produced using the mold are practically identical. Some factors come into play with injection molding, but injection molding is a highly repeatable process if the mold has a good design and finishing.
2. Scale and Cost
The injection mold-making process can be an expensive process due to the cost of the mold. However, it remains a highly scalable process whose overall cost decreases as the manufacturer makes more parts. For mass production applications, injection molding is thus beneficial to the manufacturer. For anything less than mass production, however, injection molding tooling costs may curb the cost efficiency of the process.
3. Material Availability
A significant benefit of using injection molding for automotive production is the wide range of rigid, flexible, and rubber plastics the process is compatible with. Manufacturers use a wide range of different polymers for various applications in the automotive industry, including ABS, polypropylene, acrylic, acetal, nylon, polycarbonate, and more.

By creating fast, low-cost aluminum molds with rapid tooling — usually by additive manufacturing or CNC machining — automotive mold manufacturers can turn around short runs of prototype molded car components much faster than traditional (steel) tooling.
For the past two decades or so, many under-the-hood components that manufacturers formerly made from metal have been transitioned to plastic. For these applications, robust polymers such as ABS, Nylon, and PET are common. However, manufacturers now make parts such as cylinder head covers and oil pans using injection molding. This method offers lower weights and costs compared to metal parts.
Injection molding is an established process for many exterior automotive components, including fenders, grilles, bumpers, door panels, floor rails, light housings, and more. Rapid Tooling processes are developing and proving to be a reliable method to compete with subtractive techniques for tool making. This paper investigates large volume production of components produced from Selective Laser Melting (SLM) fabricated injection moulding tool inserts. To date, other researchers have focused primarily on investigating the use of additive manufacturing technology for injection moulding for low-volume component production rather than high volume production. In this study, SLM technology has been used to fabricate four Stainless Steel 316L tool inserts of a similar geometry for an after-market automotive spare part. The SLM tool inserts have been evaluated to analyse the maximum number of successful injections and quality of performance. Microstructure inspection and chemical composition analysis have been investigated. Performance tests were conducted for the four tool inserts before and after injection moulding in the context of hardness testing and dimensional accuracy. For the first reported time, 150,000 injected products were successfully produced from the four SLM tool inserts. Tool inserts performance was monitored under actual operating conditions considering high-level demands. In the scope of this research, SLM proved to be a dependable manufacturing technique for most part geometries and an effective alternative to subtractive manufacturing for high-volume injection moulding tools for the aftermarket automotive sector.
At this point of the process, we’ve released our designs to our vendor and molds build has started. The time we have now could vary from 3–4 weeks to 20 weeks or more, depending on the household mould and part. During this time, there are two things we should do:
Time control. It is quite common that the container mould maker will send a bi-weekly report with detailed progress regarding the mold manufacturing. You may want to look only that the first trial, T1, is as promised, but you may also want to monitor the progress to predict delays. For that, you may need a professional who has a deep understanding of the steps of mold manufacturing.
Regroup and start preparing for T1. We have the time to look back into our plans and check if we covered all bases, if we defined all we wanted to, and if we covered operation issues such as raw materials for the testing, as well as double checking that the mold maker has the latest part drawings, etc.
I’ll explain how I see the difference between T0 and T1.
The first stage before injection of the plastic that will form into parts is to see that the mold works. This is what I call T0. This is the first time the mold maker mounts the mold on the injection machine and sees that the moving elements move well, that the plastic melt flows well, that the cooling performs, and more. Just like every car manufacturer will have a “dry run” of the car before it is driven out of the assembly hanger, the mold maker should ensure this machine performs its basic functions before handing samples for examining.
If the mold performs well in T0, then this test can be called T1 because we have samples. However, T1 samples might not (or, in some predefined cases, should not) be within the final dimensions; the surface finish is not final; and we may have visual marks, flashes, and mismatches. That being said, the samples are a milestone with two main aspects: one is that the mold maker delivered a mold — a tool, a machine — that can produce the parts we had up until now only as a CAD file, 2D drawings, and models. The other is that the developer gets the queue to initiate the final stage of the product development, what we call the “T1 to T-final” (the well-known Tf) phase, which is the “money time” of our project.
To clarify, this stage is not a chair mould process validation (installation qualification, operational qualification, performance qualification). This is the stage in which we aim to achieve a verified, stable part that will qualify our definitions. Once we get that, we may initiate mold performance validation.
