I am so much upset, distressed, and unsettled cause only less than 3km were remaining for my 2nd Half Marathon of the day in less than 12hrs and my cellfone's battery just died 8-| !!! Well I haven’t had this kind of knee pain since I started training 2 years ago! How I’ve missed the mental thrill of pushing my mind and my body harder. Those last three miles were all soul and totally worth it for the longest run I have ever done. Looking forward to talking another 10k on to this in a month for the #rockandrollsanantonio #marathon .

Ten miles today. I started out early, because there are heat advisories for this afternoon. I planned a route that took me by Lakefront Park so that I could get rehydrated at the water faucet. However, it wasn't working, so I had to fill up my water bottle in the bathroom. Hopefully, the water was clean. (Run distance: 10.00 miles, time: 01:59:52, pace: 11:59 minutes per mile, speed: 5.00 miles per hour.)

I refuse to let this turn into year that I became passionate about running just to be thwarted by a knee injury. This is the time in my life where I rediscovered a passion, and a time in which I educate myself, preserver through injury and turn this passion into a lifestyle that fuels my health both physically and mentally. My injury does not make me weak. My injury does not erase all of the effort and training I've put in to get to this point. I will not let my injury turn into an excuse for self pity, driving back into unhealthy habits. Time for a comeback. A slow and educated comeback. Likely the first of many in my lifetime.

Half-Marathon Continuous Run Streak # 9 - Started off way too slowly with eta reaching around 3hrs then tried speeding up on uphills and ended up on this timing 8-| !!! But the fastest miles were in the middle stages of the Half Marathon and I just could not accelerate in the last stages of the run 8-| !!! - That wound is still troubling me even with my shoes on and I am just hoping that it gets better very soon now 8-| !!! Understand these 5 common running problems and heal them instantly

Are you an athlete or a running enthusiast? if yes then you know getting injured while running is a very common problem. You might witness several injuries in the joints, muscles, and cartilage. Some sort of normal injuries can easily heal with the time, but if the injury lasts for more than 10 to 15 days then you need to consult a professional doctor or physical therapist for better relief.
But meanwhile, here we are with some common running problems and tips to get faster recovery. Let’s get started.
Runner’s Knee
It is a very common injury that various runners witness normally. Runner’s knee contains very different causes. It occurs due to several reasons such as kneecap alignment, overuse, muscle imbalance, or foot problems.
Treatment
If you find such a problem in your knee then you should stop running immediately and try to control the swelling. Now, you should start strengthening your hips and glutes. Make sure you perform limited exercises that will not put pressure on your knee.
Shin Splints
This type of injury occurs when you run too fast for a long time. It is spread in a wide range of areas in the front bone of the lower leg. Exaggerated training can lead you to tissue damage and swells up.
Treatment
As we know the reason for this injury is exaggerated training on a hard surface then you should avoid running for a while. To get instant relief from this, make sure you apply ice compress on the injured area. If still, the pain persists for a longer period of time then make sure you visit your nearest doctor immediately or consult a professional physical therapy clinic for better advantages.
Plantar Fasciitis
It is swelling and sharp pain at the bottom of the foot near the heel. You feel a little stiff when you start running and the pain is gone after 2-3 minutes. Limited blood flow in the tissue normally worsens the Plantar fasciitis.  
Treatment
Make sure you warm-up for at least 2 minutes before you start running. Stretching and other normal exercises will also help in healing plantar fasciitis.
Hamstring Strain
You will feel the pain when you bend your knee. Hamstring Strain is caused due to extreme tightness on the three back muscles of your thigh.  It occurs due to excessive load on the hamstring.  
Treatment
If you feel that the pain is sharp then you must immediately stop running. A normal rest for someday can easily heal this type of injury. Whenever you are thinking about going back to running, make sure you start slow. Also, go for stretching and warm-up before you go for running.
