6) Johnny gives up the corpse parts for Gyro (again), immediately followed by them drinking away their sorrows into the sunset. Who's doing it like them.

Chapter 48: Tubular Bells (Part 1)

7) Gyro finds the Golden Rectangle, previously described as, “… the foundation for every perfect structure for beauty" (Chapter 43: A Silent Way, Part 4) in Johnny eyes, and refuses to answer Johnny's question about where he's finding it. The implications of what Gyro thinks of Johnny's physical appearance are obvious.

Chapter 52: Wrecking Ball (Part 2)

8) Gyro sacrifices his hand, his only other point of reference for the Golden Rectangle, in order to save Johnny from a hit he probably could have tanked. Even Gyro looks a little surprised at himself... Also, they are all over each other this arc. Gyro is especially protective.

Chapter 53: Wrecking Ball (Part 3)

9) Once it's revealed that Valentine intends to kill the rest of the racers (at least the ones who pose a threat to him), and makes an attempt on Johnny's life, Gyro attempts to convince Johnny to drop out, implying that he would drop out with him.

Of course, this is immediately followed by Johnny begging Gyro to, at the very least, help Lucy and see what she knows about the corpse parts. Seeing Johnny's distress at being so close to his goal only to have it snatched away from him convinces Gyro to stay in the race (something that will ultimately get him killed) and theorize how they can use the spin to defeat Valentine (via the stirrups). He tries to play it off but goddamn he is in love with him.

Chapter 72: Ticket to Ride (Part 2)

10) Shuiesha coloring may imply that Johnny is wearing Gyro's shirt beneath his own?? It's got the same collar and everything.

12) And last but not least, thee set of chapter titles ever, in which Valetine attempts to bargain with Johnny to spare his life in return for bringing back Gyro. Johnny refuses, not because of any moral quandary about saving the life of an evil man, but because the Gyro brought back would not be the same. On top of that, he recognizes Valentine as a liar.

When it's all over, Johnny just breaks.

And that's the end of the chapter!

Why was there never a Hotel California episode why was there not an episode about a hotel in the middle of nowhere that looks pretty normal at first glance but the food is strangely bland because they don't use salt, and some of the other guests have no idea what year it is, and the staff are strangely insistent that they can't leave right now, and when they look closer all the people there are ghosts that aren't aware they're dead, and the hotel is cursed, and they're trapped in there

WHOOOP FINALLY DONE

this took a while but I always say that about my comics, this one has been done for like days but I kept putting it off because I hate dialogue, I actually had a third page I thought to add in but it never really left the draft stage because it felt unnecessary, anyways!

Other than the WatcherCao hyperfixation things have been good, might take a while for the next few pages bc I'm a lil burnt out

^funfact: unlike all other characters past, present, and future, the Souljam is the only one who changes the panel lines, this is just stylistic but if you guys come up with a reason I'd like to hear ^^ also please gimmie WatcherCao Au art ideas I'm desperate

was going to write some robot money headcanons but migraine too stronk so here's the short one

TFMR headcanon - What a bot can buy with each Shanix coins

Brown coin - Energon gumball from a gumball machine, or a dry-ice popsicle from a street vendor

silver coin - cheap everyday items from Rivets Mart(something like Cybertronian Dollar Tree), such as laundry clips, trash bins and so on

Gold coin - A simple meal from cheapest local diner

So I’m noticing how the recent updates for CRK have had this somewhat concerning trend of them being fine enough or liked on release, but by the end of it we’re all bored and just waiting for the next update

And this isn’t even by the last week or so after a 7 week long update, we’re usually like this by the halfway point of a 4 week update. Like I barely cared about the Cuckoo Town Square second half or today’s Stormbringer second half update

The 3rd anniversary wasn’t exactly like that, mostly since we had the Matcha story for the 3rd and 4th parts to at least generate some excitement, but we were still feeling it by that half, and we just wanted the update to end

To be honest, I think it’s a content thing. Like, we have a story for the beginning of the update, but then after a couple days we’re done with it and there’s not really much left to do. Like we currently have the new Tower but it’s so difficult that it’s not really much. And last update we had the multiplayer thing but from what I can tell that died out kind of soon with the only highlights being random server interactions. The Cake Shop was fun but that was a returning event from a previous update, so that’s really not saying much for the quality of this one

And so I think we just kind of end up meandering and waiting for the next update to come out, only to repeat the cycle again

Hopefully with time we’ll get out of this funk, but it’s been 2-3 updates of this and I’m getting concerned, it feels like the quality of the game has been tanking in 2024
